[style=height:50px;background-color:#000;][style=padding-top: 5px; font-size:14px;font-family:'Dorsa';color:#fff]IN YOU KNOW I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE [/style] [/style][style=height:30px;background-color:#000;padding-top: 20px; font-size:12px;font-family:'Dorsa';color:#fff;]YOU SCREAMED OVER THE SOUND Was there no one he could trust anymore? Everyone around him seemed to be falling into this supernaturals are nice shit. Getting themselves killed and hurt all over the place. It wasn’t something to take lightly. Jackson felt every person he knew he could keep close to him was falling out of his grasp. He should have known better. People weren’t supernaturals, but they sure as hell were reckless. Not to say that he was disappointed completely in any of “his” hunters, but he did wish they would open their eyes a little bit. The plague was starting to become more known. Something extremely dangerous- especially since people didn’t exactly know he was in charge of it. They knew he was a dangerous hunter. They knew he was a legend. But not many knew to what extent. Very recently, he had made a successful kidnapping of a member of the Way family as well as some ghost that had been causing problems. However, that night, he discovered they escaped. The Way girl had something he hadn’t thought of. A pack. Not many packs running around. Wolves didn’t trust one another that much. He had never seen such a bigger pack in an area. Made him nervous.
Plus, work wasn’t helping. The detective who had been on his tail about all the unsolved murders or the quick close cased murders had been concerning. The man had no idea what he was dealing with. Those were supernatural killings made by hunters. If it weren’t for them, who knew how many humans he would have had to report missing or dead instead. He couldn’t explain it to him, of course. He had wanted to be the big man on the job and be the hero to figure out all the mysteries behind Manuka. Some things were better left undiscovered, did that ever occur to anyone? Thankfully, that man was leaving in two days, but that wasn’t the bad part in his job. It was convincing the other chiefs in nearby towns that, no, there really wasn’t anything strange going on here. Even though there was. No, there wasn’t a reason to snoop around, though as far as they were concerned, there was. Jackson wasn’t good on his persuasive skills. He was more of the yelling type, drilling something into your head type. That didn’t work for everyone. Certainly didn’t work for his daughter, who let some stranger move into her house because he was going through a rough time.
There wasn’t much else now he could do besides go home and enjoy a beer. His house was somewhat hard to get to. Those that had only been there before finding it properly kind of thing. There wasn’t anything mystical about it. He was sure that if someone really wanted him badly enough, they’d be able to find it. Thankfully, the ones who got away were smart enough to know to leave him alone. There were multiple twists and turns to his small house hidden behind some trees. Most of the entrances would have never been noticed by someone just driving by and looking for another path way. Hopefully, it wasn’t on those damn GPS things kids used now a days. Being private property, it was only an assumption that those things wouldn’t direct them that way anyway. Crazier things had happened though. So despite the location of his home, he always made sure it was triple locked. He couldn’t see anything out there and it would be easy to hide, but eyes were deceiving. He needed sound. He needed to know where his weapons were. That was about it.
Pulling up in his rusty old junk truck, he trudged in, feeling more exhausted than normal. He looked once over his shoulder out of habit as he unlocked the door, stepped inside, and locked it back up. It had been mentioned that perhaps he should get a pet, so he wasn’t alone when he came home, but pets were easily lost. There were others who suggested he move on from Jessica. That hadn’t happened either. He just hadn’t been interested in anyone else. Jackson sighed, used to the coming home to an empty house and that day- rather enjoying it. His own beer, his own microwave meal, and his own TV- set on a low setting in case there was some commotion going on behind him. Just enough to relax. Suddenly, his senses went on high alert. Was that a knock on his door? He hadn’t been expecting anyone. Then again- he hadn’t looked at his phone all day. It had been one of those days, after all. Cautiously, grabbing his gun and putting it in hand, he looked through the peephole and all of his high senses cut off. No… it couldn’t be. Opening the door as fast as he could, he peered at his newest visitor with an expressionless face.

two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl tagged for jackson/mama em <33333 - 1566 - outfit anxious x.x With Ruben back in her life and supporting her, along with the agreement that they weren't keeping this kid, Annette felt like she was starting to feel the ground under her feet again, and not like she was falling and falling, unendless through a bottomless pit. As much as Annette loved her friends that did support her - Damon, Kinsley, Jude, Archer, even Westley who seemed to have forgiven her in the end- she had needed Rue so much. He was going through what she was going through and he was the only one who fully understood. Both of them didn't want to have children yet, and especially not with each other. Ruben and Annette had never been in love, sure she loved him to death, but never had it gone to romantic feelings. They were close friends, he was one of her best friends even, and that was all there was and it wasn't a good foundation to start a family on. Apart from that, they really weren't ready yet to start a family yet. Not Rue, not her, they weren't the responsible ones. They were hardly grown ups themselves. And meanwhile she was chasing Nikita until the point where she had to stop because it would be harmful for her baby. A truce. She knew Nikita wouldn't harm her, he wanted her to believe he wasn't a violent one, but Nettie had made sure that he knew she wouldn't stop just because she was having a baby. A baby she wouldn't keep, who would be happier with other people who had the ability to give him a good life. Yes, a him.
Annette remembered her astonishment when she had heard she was having a boy. She knew the joyful feeling that took her over but at the same time realized she had to turn it off. This baby wasn't hers, it wasn't important to her what the gender was, but his new parents would maybe want to know to decorate the nursery or whatever, she didn't know, but maybe it was important to them and now at least they knew. Nettie ignored her giant ass heart -that had gotten her into problems a gazilleon times before- who was starting to love this baby, since it was of no use and she really shouldn't feel this way about him. The boy wasn't meant to stay with her, because Annette had no intention of becoming a single mom, which she was, even if Ruben did support her when she decided to keep the kid. But at the same time the girl realized she really couldn't do that to him. Ruben did not want this kid and together they had decided it wasn't wise to keep him. Their decision had been made, she couldn't change it anymore now. She wasn't going to change it anymore now, even if only for Rue. Her friendship with him was more important than this accident, even if she had had too much compassion to kill the little baby off and be able to stop all of this. To stop the hunter's anger with her, to stop society's judgemental behavior. And of course society would judge, they always did and Annette was also used to it. And she knew Ruben didn't care, but she had put his life in danger by not aborting this kid, because she couldn't. Everything would've been different if she had only done that, and now it was too late and thinking back she still would never do it.
But the rage of the hunters brought her to one final point that made that she still felt like she was completely lost. Jackson. She knew why he was shunning her, and given his attitude towards supernaturals she hadn't expected anything else -though hoped maybe, but that was another story-, but he was like a father to her. He was that father who didn't fail, who did care for her and not just for his beautiful blonde stripper. She didn't even believe Jack actually was in a relationship. But Jack had learned her everything she knew, and though she wasn't the hunter who stood at the front line to fight the strongest supernaturals, based on her size mainly since Nettie was a dwarf, she was the one who slipped through the trees high up above, who could kill them with one clear shot, and she hardly ever missed. Since she was 18, when her brother got killed and she decided to join the hunters after discovering about the supernatural world, Jack had truly been a father to her. And she missed him, she did. There were still so many things she had to learn -like how to properly shoot a gun, since Annette could fight like a maniac and her bow was a lethal extension of her arm, but guns? ew- so many things that still confused her, like for example whether her brother had been a hunter or not. Nobody had ever told her that, but she had been taken up in the hunter society so easily, that maybe in the back of her head she had always known. But if David had been a hunter, that would mean that Nikita was right, and Annette wasn't ready to accept that yet, since she wasn't an 'against all races' hunter and the idea of her brother being one killed her.
And if anyone knew, Jackson was that person. He was the hunter in this region, the legend and the most famous and powerful one. He knew nearly all the hunters, so if even Jack didn't know what her brother had been, nobody did. She hadn't spoken to Jack since that one phone call where he had adviced -nearly told- her to abort the kid or people would die. She was still pretty sure that people wouldn't die from this kid, not if she looked at her personality and Ruben's combined. It would maybe set the world on fire out of mischief, but never intentionally hurt people. She looked past the fact that because someone was a supernatural, whether mortal or immortal, just because of that one fact they were evil, because it wasn't true. And genetics made a person's personality not just his species. She knew the hunter she was meeting probably wouldn't really like the fact that she was giving this baby away and did not intend on killing him, but she had to talk to him. Apart from the fact that she wanted to find out about her brother, Annette also missed him. She missed his guidance and him being her voice of reason, even if she didn't always agree with him, she missed feeling safe because he was there. She had been feeling lost for so long that sometimes Nettie didn't even know anymore what to do. Now with Ruben being back she felt better, but it was still as if she was in a maze sometimes and nobody wanted to help her. And sure, it was her own fault, Annette knew too damn well that it was her own fault. But wasn't your love and care for people more important than your differences? Weren't you supposed to support each other no matter what, unless they stabbed you in the back? Annette had always been honest about what had happened, she had never lied to keep people from finding out. She could also have said that a human had knocked her up, but the blonde didn't lie. She never did. Letting out a sigh, the woman stopped her car in front of Jackson's house, trying to gather up her courage to get out and knock on the door. before just taking another deep breath and just doing it. It was the only way. She straightened her dress with her hands, feeling the little harmony ball pendant chime with her movements, which made her smile. Maybe it was stupid, but she felt like it helped. There was no use in hiding her belly anymore, because by now everybody could see she was obviously pregnant, and prominently so. Being as skinny as she had been, Annette's pregnancy belly was huge. She felt like a blimp, and definitely not attractive, but that wasn't the problem now. She just feared that when Jackson saw her stomach, it would remind him of everything and he'd shut the door in her face. But there was no way for her to hide it, thus so be it. Nothing she could do about it. Her fist descended on the door and she took another deep breath to prevent herself from running off the porch back into her car again, rather than facing him with the risk of being rejected. But before she could even think of turning around, the door already swung open, and her heart stopped in her chest, like her breathing did. Annette stood there stunned, as he gazed down on her without any single expression on his face, and Annette was very good with reading faces. "H-Hi, Jack.. Can I come in? Please?" It really sounded like a bit of a plea, really, and it was humble and careful. Annette understood his reasons to keep her away from himself, but she didn't want it anymore. She wanted to make right what was wrong and this could very well be her final attempt to try. One last time. May the Gods be with her. oh how we found the same old fears TEMPLATE BY BROOKE~ |

[style=height:50px;background-color:#000;][style=padding-top: 5px; font-size:14px;font-family:'Dorsa';color:#fff]IN YOU KNOW I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE [/style] [/style][style=height:30px;background-color:#000;padding-top: 20px; font-size:12px;font-family:'Dorsa';color:#fff;]YOU SCREAMED OVER THE SOUND Seeing Annette on his doorstep brought back all kinds of memories. He would have been lying if he said he hadn’t missed her. She was like a second daughter to him. Truly. He had his entire family of hunters, but she had grown rather close. The phone conversation she had with him had killed him more than she probably knew. This wasn’t just another hunter that was talking to him about bringing another filthy supernatural into the world. This was his daughter telling him some guy had knocked her up on top of the fact this guy was a supernatural. Manipulative and uncaring. What did he want with the blonde? Jackson had been threatened about trying to find this shapeshifter, but he had tried to find him anyway. However, not knowing very much about him, it was rather difficult to try to locate the bastard. Jackson had tried. Damn hard. Still, there were too many other things to think about. It was too small to persue very much longer. So he waited until any information might have come up. He was a supernatural, after all, so there wouldn’t be much time before he would do something stupid and expose who he was.
Opening the door, he realized how eager he was to see she was alright. He was certain he wasn’t the only hunter out there who felt threatened and wanted to go after Annette herself. No matter what, Jackson wasn’t sure if he would ever bring himself to do that. His plan was more of getting rid of it after it exited Annette’s body. Now it was hard to say he thought the same way. Not sure why. The thing was dangerous, no doubt. It would become a killer, just as he saw the life of Easton Levy. Another son of a bitch that he was trying to find and not finding much luck. Jackson didn’t want to swoop so low as to kill a child, but children grew. The matter was rather conflicting, but he pretended to stay hard about it. Unchanging and unmoving. Stubborn. If anything, Jackson was the biggest stubborn of a man you’d ever meet. The gun was still in his hand. He knew that he should have looked upon Annette and slammed the door. He told himself a while ago he refused to see her. Make it harder on himself.
Seeing her standing like that though made her stand frozen for a couple of moments. His face hard, but his eyes a little more forgiving and warm. There was no avoiding the giant bump that took up her entire torso. How large was this baby going to be? Lord. He tried to think for a moment what he might have done if it had been Kinsley standing in Annette’s place. Would he react the same way? Probably. The pair looked like they could have been siblings. Blonde and pretty faced. Gripping onto his gun a little harder but still having it pointed down to the floor, he looked at her. Hearing her, he heard her careful tone. She knew him certainly. She knew him all too well. It was hard to slam the door on a pregnant young woman who was pleading and humbling herself. The man had no choice. He was a hunter, but he was also human. Human caring and compassion. Despite what others might have thought. Without a word, he stepped aside to let her in. His TV on low on some Law and Order episode (watching it made him feel a little better that he wasn’t dealing with that sort of sick shit). Beer still on the table. He would have offered her a drink, but seeing her condition, that was out of the question.
Jackson knew little about pregnant women. The only experience he really had was with Jessica all those years ago. He could remember all of it, yet, the memory was fuzzy. Wasn’t as clear as it used to be, and no one knew how much that terrified him. He wanted to remember her when she was human and well. Remember her. That was the most important thing. Kinsley ending up being a clone did help his memory, but it was starting to disappear. Could have also been with an age thing, but that was more questionable. Standing and waiting for her to come in, he put down his gun and picked up his beer instead, taking a large swig before he prepared himself for the conversation ahead of him. No doubt she was going to update him or ask for his forgiveness or something. He wanted to, but he didn’t want to start making exceptions. That was the start of letting it relaxed. No exceptions. Tight with everyone. They were all the same. ”So… what brings you here?” He asked. Wanting to really ask, ‘what the hell are you doing here?’ but not having the heart to be that harsh to her. Jackson didn’t like beating around the bush with small talk. If this conversation was going to get over with, he wasn’t going to delay it any with small cute conversations of the complications of his life. The alcohol was helping him relax a little bit, but he had only taken a few drinks out of it. Nothing major. His eyes couldn't help but looking at her stomach every once in a while. It had been so long he had been in the same room as another pregnant woman. It was strange. But that could have been him knowing what was in there. It was a baby. But it grew up damn it. What was he supposed to do?

two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl tagged for jackson/mama em <33333 - 1093 - outfitohgod the feels x.x Annette did not understand why most hunters saw things so black and white. They were so prejudiced against supernaturals, often because of personal experiences, that they failed to see the fact that nothing was ever truly black and white, the area was always grey and blurry. There were supernaturals she'd trust her life with, like Damon and Ruben, while she by far did not trust all hunters. She knew there were enough hunters who wanted to end her so they'd solve the baby problem immediately, she did not know what had stopped them or why they refrained from it. After all, the blonde was 6 months pregnant and wasn't able to defend herself the way she used to. Hell, she couldn't even see her toes or walk straight anymore. She knew it didn't have to be this way, that she could have stopped her own people from trying to murder her, but for her the heartless choice had hardly been one. This baby was coming to life, whether they wanted it or not, because Annette as not a senseless killer. The girl had compassion and was caring, maybe more than she should, but she was able to see how grey the world actually was. She knew for sure that not all supernaturals were bad, she had seen it with her own eyes and experienced it too. And they could think she was stupid all they wanted, but Nettie knew better than that. She knew she was one of the few not ignorant ones.
But despite knowing it was their prejudiced beliefs that had gotten things to be like this, the girl still felt rejected and lonely. After all, they were her people, they had been the ones to teach her how to shoot a gun, how to track foot prints, and who had easily taken her into their community when she was so lost and alone, she had felt like she was sinking like a stone. Though part of Annette knew she would never truly be like them, she had never been, and that maybe she wasn't cut out to be a hunter, the blonde wanted to stay part of them now. She loved and cared for her group, the ones who had taken her in so kindly when she had no home, nowhere left to run. They were the family she had never had, and things had seemed to go so smoothly, and honestly she missed them. She missed her archery sessions with them, or sneaking through the woods like some ape high up in the trees, she missed every little moment they spent training and having fun, cause not every hunter took training as seriously as the other. Sure, they worked hard, but that didn't mean they had to rush things, or that they could not have fun, because everybody who knew Annette, knew she was always bushels of fun, no matter what the occasion was.
And she had especially missed Jack, the sturdy old man who was like a father to her. She was good in what she did, very good indeed, even though her skills were on another territory than that of most hunters, and it was all because he had taught her. He had shown her all the things she had to know to be a hunter, and he had accepted her so quickly, the lost, dwarf-sized girl who wanted to be a hunter to avenge her brother. Many would have told her no, saying that she was too young for this stuff, that she couldn't handle it yet, but not Jackson. No Jackson had verified her skills and shown her ways of how to make them better. She was more grateful to him than she could ever explain, for being the guy who was always there for her. For being the one who was always there for her to protect her, no matter in what kind of trouble she got herself in. Well.. that is until now. Annette knew that with this she had seriously crossed all lines and broken all rules the hunters applied to their living, and was sort of surprised, though relieved when Jackson opened the door and did not immediately slam it in her face, like she knew he could have. Like she knew he would have, had it been anybody else but her or Kins. Not many people had a coveted position the way Nettie did, even if she knew better than to take it for granted, or to treat Jackson with less respect that he deserved. Maybe it was just that, that she had never ever made use of his soft spot for her, unlike what many others would do.
Again, that is until now. She knew a careful approach was the key, and she also knew that it was harder for him to resist her when she was being that way, instead of the stubborn rebellious kid. Annette had a lot of experience with parents and though Jackson was not the average parent, he sometimes acted like one. Like this time, when he just gazed at her, not saying anything as he opened the door for her, but just stepping in, not questioning it. "Thank you." She said, touching his arm for about a second with her hand, before moving further into the house, gazing around. It had been a while since she had been here for the last time, and it was good to see that this stuff hadn't changed at all. She heard his voice behind her as she gazed at the show on the tv, her fingers gliding over one of the cabinets. "I missed you, Jack.." Annette said, before turning around to face him, taking a deep breath because this sure as hell was difficult for her. "I cannot ask for your forgiveness, so I am not going to, because I completely support my decision, but I just wish things didn't have to be this way." The girl spoke, her eyes observing his face as he took her words in, ready to read any changes in his facial expression, because that was what she was good at. Taking another deep breath, she continued. "And I have some other questions concerning my brother David.." She said, stepping a little closer now, not sure whether she wanted the answer to this question, but she knew she had to know. She had to realize that it was true, or else she'd forever be stuck in limbo, and she couldn't lie to herself like that. "Was he a hunter, Jack? My brother?" oh how we found the same old fears TEMPLATE BY BROOKE~ |
