When the two split up a little over two weeks ago, she had been completely devastated. But she knew from the moment he had shared his Burger King with her the first time they had met that she would never be able to hate him. He was one of the sweetest people she had ever met and she knew that he loved her. He just had an issue with Farah. She was his kryptonite, and she couldn’t blame him for Farah kissing him. Even though he had kissed her back that day, she knew Trace felt bad about it and he was truly sorry for his actions. In that sense, she could forgive him. On the other hand, he knew how badly it would hurt her and how much it would crush her to find out that he had cheated on her with the one person Kentley disliked most. Trace had never understood why exactly Kentley hated Farah as much as she did, but he was too nice to dislike her himself. So she doubted it would ever get through his thick head that she had shit all over his heart and left him in a depressed state for more than two months.
But the two were getting better. She didn’t want to burn his hair off in his sleep anymore like she had when he first told her of the incident between him and Farah. Instead, she just wanted to move on with her life and figure out how she was going to completely get over Trace, who would always have a special place in her heart. She had been out to the clubs all over Manuka including the supernatural one where she met an interesting warlock (that night she faced two of her fears: clubs and warlocks and learned that neither were always dangerous which was a giant relief). Kentley had also had her first one night stand just a few days ago, and honestly it was a little empowering. She liked the feeling of being both sexual and sensual and being able to leave someone and not feel attached in any way. She had found that she liked sex. It was a natural part of life and sometimes you just got in the mood and needed to find someone or something to fulfill that need your body ached for.
Tonight was one of those nights. Kentley was in bed looking at her ceiling and wondering what to do about her debacle. There were multiple options of course, but she wanted to go with the most reasonable. It was a Tuesday night so the clubs wouldn’t have many people, the bars would be sparse, and she didn’t even want to think about Trace who was out with his friends Kenna and Xan. She was all alone in this tiny apartment with nothing to do. She could always watch a movie or something, but she knew it wouldn’t get her mind off of…it. So she sat up in bed and went through a list in her mind. There were a few people she could call, but she was pretty sure that most would get the wrong idea about her calling and would think she was interested in them as more than just someone who could satisfy her needs. This might sound a little conceited or irrational, but she really didn’t want anything to do with someone who wanted an actual relationship right now.
Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. She knew exactly who to call on. It was so clear that she couldn’t believe she hadn’t thought of it before. Grinning, she showered. After drying her hair and picking out what she thought would surprise the hell out of him, she walked downstairs and to her car. She drove to Damon’s house in a few minutes time, and felt a few butterflies in her stomach. A few things crossed her mind, like what if he wasn’t here, if he was here but with someone else, or worse, if he was here with a family member. But she took the risk and walked confidently to his door and rang the bell once. She stepped back a little so she could be in full view when he opened the door. She held the belt of her trench coat so that she could easily open it for him when he opened the door. Underneath she was completely naked except black lace panties and a pair of black shiny stilettoes.

Well he really fucked up that one. It had been just a simple little question. She didn’t need to get so offended and huffy about it. He was sure that if she asked the same thing to him, he would have agreed and understood. Unfortunately, asking Rosabella if he was allowed to cheat wasn’t didn’t go as he planned. It would have been different if he went to sleep with someone and liked them. To him- that was a different scenario. But this was strictly not attached, just physical. After being with so many different women at a time, it was really hard to just automatically switch to being a taken guy. She should have given him the benefit of the doubt. It was all her fault. Then why did he feel like shit? Almost guilty when tears filled her eyes and she screamed at him. That she trusted him. That she cared for him. Now he did this. Did what? He hadn’t done anything. At that moment. Damon wasn’t able to sleep. It should have been him going to the bar and picking up whoever was there, but he didn’t even feel like leaving.
So it kind of left him here. He was trying to figure out where he even began. After Giselle, he had sworn off that icky ‘love’ thing and ‘feelings’ because it was all bullshit. It didn’t matter how much someone loved someone. It would change in a couple of minutes if the mood fit out. Suddenly after three or four years, someone was a monster. Damon should have learned his lesson. He should have done what his original plan was. As soon as Rosabella announced that she was going to have his baby, he should have packed a toothbrush and ran out of town as fast as he could without any notice. For some brain dead reason, he had stayed. There was just something in him that forced him to stay in Manuka. The place he grew up and didn’t want to give up for just a small little accident. Then he felt obligated to at least say hi to Rosabella every once in a while- having his kid and everything. With some miracle… he found out about her. About her life. The goods and the horrible choking ones that Damon would have never guessed in a million years. Found out some else of who she was.
He never really expected to like her like that. He had always enjoyed her company and may have been a little more lovey dovey than with the other ones, but that was strictly for her knowing and understanding what he meant by it. Then her little mind reading powers gave her a clue of how Damon felt about her. Honestly, he wouldn’t have expected her to actually like him back either. He figured it would be this thing in his head and disappear within a couple of weeks. It just grew. Damon didn’t want to grow all the way to say that he was hurt. Hurt sounded like too powerful of a word, yet he didn’t know how else to really describe it. A little less than that since it had been his fault. It should have been. With all these thoughts in his head, how was he supposed to sleep properly? Fuck his feelings. Fuck Rosabella. Fuck everything.
With an aggressive turn, he tugged the blanket over his shoulder, feeling cold in this winter air. His apartment was pretty warm, but it was always colder out of the covers. His hair was in some serious need of cutting as it was tossed everywhere on the top of his head. He managed to close his eyes and drift into a little sleep mode. Trying not to think about the downhill his life had been taking. Where had it gone wrong? He used to be the funny guy that could never take anything seriously. It started with Riley’s death. Yes, it started there. Everything else just seemed to be a weird chain reaction of that event. Radicals. Pregnancy. Other friends like that. Darby. Heartbreak. Damon’s heart wasn’t as light as it used to be. In fact, it was rather heavy and growing darker with his already alliance dark side. He wasn’t sure how far this was going to go.
A knock came. Damon opened his eyes, taking a moment to adjust to the darkness before groaning and rolling over. He felt a little better with that sleep, and he had gone to sleep high as well, so he felt pretty woozy. This could have been anyone. Damon opened up his home to pretty much any woman that was willing to let Damon ease what they needed. It was a common occurrence. He had been sending them away recently, but he supposed now he could start letting them in again. With a swinging rush, he opened the door, and took back his previous comment. Okay, it could have been anyone except the person that was there now. She was pretty solid in her firetaming abilities and hadn’t seen him in a while. They were good friends. Damon would say. She put up with Damon’s little comments (like wanting to fuck her so bad) and he put up with the fact that he couldn’t. He wasn’t sure he wanted anyone that he couldn’t have so badly before.
Which was why seeing her was more shocking than anything. He had come to the door a little grungy, but man he was awake now. He opened the door as an invite for her to come in. ”What do I owe the pleasure?” He asked, having a little more of a smile on his face than he might have had previously. He leaned against the doorway, putting his head up a little higher and he caught a glimpse of how he looked. Wonderful and beautiful as always, but his hair was this massive nest. He also had a little scruff on his chin. Pretty regular, he would say. Ah well. Well if Kentley was going to come at this time at night, it must have been urgent. Why else would she come?

But she didn’t want to be home. It was lonely there and the last thing that she wanted to be was all alone. So Damon was the only person she could think about that would most likely be at home and awake. Of course she could have bad luck and he could have someone over or he could be at someone else’s house right now and she’d have gone all this way for no reason. She hoped to hell that that wasn’t the case because there probably wasn’t going to be another time where she went to Damon like this. It was so unlike her to even want to do something like this, but damn it she couldn’t help herself. She hadn’t realized until now just how badly she wanted Damon. She wanted him right now. She just wished he would open his damn door so she wasn’t standing in nothing but a trench coat in a neighborhood that she was unfamiliar with.
When she heard the locks click and his door open she put her hands on her hips and smiled. She walked passed him and turned towards him without saying a word. Kentley waited for him to turn around and face her before she slowly untied her coat. “I never thought I’d see this day, Damon…” She loosened the coat so she teased him with a view of her chest. She had known since the day she met Damon that he wanted to sleep with her. It was what made him so easy to pick out of the crowd of people to go to tonight. She also trusted him. Trusting people was sometimes hard for this firetamer, and Damon had quickly gained her trust after starting teaching her how to control her firetaming. After he knew that she wasn’t for hooking up with him he had stopped trying and respected her to not try to pick her up. Kentley didn’t really think it was possible for him to not flirt, but sometimes it was. But Kentley did harmlessly flirt with him. Hell, the guy was sexy and charming and it was hard not to flirt with him. He made her laugh and made her forget about all her troubles. It was what made her so attracted to him. But she had had Trace; she had loved Trace and forgotten all about the perks that Damon had. Now though, she no longer had Trace and all she could think about was Damon.
There had never been a thought of dating the man in front of her. He was a player, a one-night stand kind of guy. Kentley had never seen him as anything more than a friend, but that was also because she didn’t think it was possible for him to be in a proper relationship. She thought he would eventually get bored and would either break up with whoever his girlfriend was or he would cheat behind her back. Kentley wouldn’t be a victim to a cheater again, therefore she stayed away from anyone she thought would cheat, which in turn made her stay away from Damon. But since she wasn’t looking for a relationship out of him she saw tonight as completely harmless. He wouldn’t suddenly fall in love with her and want to be her boyfriend and she sure as hell wouldn’t want to date him. So it was a win-win situation. Kentley would finally get her sexual frustrations out of her system and Damon will have finally slept with her. If it wasn’t enough to sleep with him, then she had no idea what she was going to do. Maybe multiple times if he was up for and able to do it, which she didn’t doubt.
Kentley grinned and raised her eyebrow at Damon. “You’re alone, aren’t you?” she asked not taking her eyes off of him. She pulled the coat just a little looser and exposed her flat naked stomach. Her lips parted in a devious smile and watched how he reacted. If he weren’t alone, then she’d have to take him somewhere because there was no way in hell that she was not going to sleep with him. For Christ’s sake, she drove all the way here with the risk of being pulled over almost naked. She was going to have sex with him tonight and that was that.
She began walking to him and dropped her hands, letting her coat open completely. She walked to him slowly and ran a hand through his messy hair. “Because if you’re not, it would really be a shame.” Kentley put her other hand around his shoulder and closed the little bit of space between them. She smiled seductively and licked her lips slowly as she looked down at his own nicely shaped lips. On a whim, she leaned up and put her lips softly on his. She deepened the kiss almost immediately and took a hold of some of his hair. She moved the hand that was around his shoulder, to his waste where she clutched his shirt in her hands. She hadn’t felt this sense of urgency in a long time, but held herself back so that she didn’t go too quickly right off the bat—though she doubted that was possible for Damon. Still, going slow was something she was good at. But if it were possible, she’d have him out of his pants in seconds.

Without a doubt, it was said that Damon wasn’t the smartest crayon in the box. Sharpest tool in the shed. Whatever metaphor you wanted to use. It always took the poor boy a minute to understand things. He had been told Damon had some ‘street smarts’ but he really in all reality didn’t have that. Damon was just all around stupid on a twenty-four hour basis. Now with any other woman, he would have assumed exactly what she wanted. She wanted to ravish him and attack him, spread out that inner lioness that wanted to deal with her lion. Damon was obliged to let them and maybe even have fun with it a little bit. Of course that was practically what he was known for. However, it was different with Kentley. He had tried over and over. Although he was able to get her to flirt every once in a while, it was basically that. She didn’t find too much amusement to him hitting on her all of the time. Especially with the way they had met. The little firetamer was a very powerful ball of hot, sexy fire. That had always been clear and she knew that he knew. Even now, he looked just as always.
Damon stared and blinked at her. What day? What happened? She didn’t sound all that distressed. In fact, she just looked hot. Not just the way she normally did but physically like ‘man, I’m going to take off this coat of mine’ but she was slowly untying to take it off. Damon saw her chest exposed and he tried not to stare, as he got a threat last time he attempted that little move. Still, he couldn’t help but glance. ”Yeah, neither would I.” Damon bluffed, hoping that it would just add to the conversation. Asking what happened just didn’t seem like it would fit the situation. Whatever the situation was. It didn’t’ feel all that right on his tongue. All of the menacing thoughts he had thought previously had just vanished in a blink of an eye. It was nice. It was similar to when he brought himself out of his heartbreak after high school. Waking up and realizing ‘Damon, what the fuck are you doing?’. So maybe this was the exact path he needed. Whatever path this ended up being. The man was in a lot of pain and right now, he was taking the right kind of painkillers.
Man, if he didn’t know any better, he would have thought she was wearing nothing under that thing. The way she was teasing him and untying it. Okay, now she was just asking for him to look. Damon made a quick (or what he thought was a quick but was more like a glacier pace) check out over her. It was a little dark, but his eyes must have been tricking him. Her words actually hurt a little, but he ignored it. Yes, he was very much alone. He was sick of sleeping alone. Damon had slowed down so long. Now that he asked just to release the pressure once, he was the bad guy? None of it made sense to him. It made as much sense as Kent was making right now. ”Yeah, you would have heard if someone was here tonight.” Damon liked them loud.
Then came the moment he hadn’t been expecting. Holy Jesus Christ and whatever other thing was out there. She was naked under there. The coat opened to show her full figure. He wasn’t going to lie. He had fantasied about something similar to this moment, and he could honestly say that he wasn’t disappointed with any of this. Damon got the look of realization on his face and leaned down as she kissed him. That hunger and fire behind it. It was similar to what Damon’s felt like. Both in pain and heartbroken, not knowing what else to do with themselves. She gripped onto him like there was nothing else in the world. She needed him. Damon couldn’t say how much he loved this feeling. That she needed him instead of purely wanting him. Even if it was something different, Damon’s mind was going to twist it whatever he damn well pleased. ”So that’s where it’s been hiding” He growled softly and teasingly. Referring to this fire within her. Something he had a theory about all of the firetamers in the world… except for his little sister, but that was a whole different matter.
Damon reached under the coat to put his arms on her bare back, finding almost at a disadvantage to have some clothes on while she had a coat that was barely gripping onto her arms anymore. He let go for a moment to release her hands so he could take off his shirt. He wanted to feel it skin on skin. This was slower than normal, but Damon felt like this wasn’t going to take much. A game he liked to play to see who was most patient during this time, though he normally lost. Losing didn’t suck. He still won even when he lost. One arm kept behind her back and the other tangled in her hair, letting his arm muscles trap her the way she needed to be.

[/style] [style=width:400px; height:15px; font-family:oleo script; font-size:30px; line-height:85%; color:teal; border-bottom: 5px solid white; letter-spacing:-1px; text-decoration:italic; text-align:right;]i wanna be drunk when i wake up, on the right side of the wrong bed, When Kentley had first met Damon it had been a rough experience. She was in the woods one night and she had come across him. Damon had basically done everything in his power to get her to sleep with him and back then she wasn’t the kind of girl to just hop into bed with some stranger. It wasn’t that she was necessarily that kind of girl now, but she didn’t think the same as she used to back then. Her mind had been opened to a whole new world since then, almost a year and a half ago. It was weird thinking about how long she had known Damon. He seemed like exactly the same person today while Kentley had blossomed into an entirely new person. He still flirted with her and complimented her relentlessly and that was the reason she knew that he would be okay with this whole thing. Damon didn’t hit on someone that he didn’t find attractive—he thought too highly of himself to pick someone of low standards, not that he was very picky about his women as far as she could tell. But Kentley knew how badly Damon had wanted her (and she honestly didn’t really know why since she was just Kentley) but he was her best shot if she wanted to get out of her house and finally have a good time.
A surly smile brushed across her features as he stared at her. It was an empowering feeling to have him stare at her like that. Damon stared at her all the time, but he never gave her that look like he was about to jump out of his skin. It was even better that he had yet to see that she had nothing on underneath this trench coat. She was entertaining herself now and moved the jacket back a little. She could only imagine what he was going to do when he saw her completely exposed. She was a little self-conscious about her body because of how skinny she was. She sometimes felt like a twig that could be snapped at the flick of a wrist, and her ribs poked out and she looked like a skeleton. But she couldn’t put on weight no matter how hard she tried, so she had to live with it. And neither Trace nor Damon seemed to mind it as far as she could tell, so it was probably just her own mind thinking the worst of things. And right now wasn’t the time to feel self-conscious. She was supposed to be the sexy confident Kentley. She straightened her shoulders as she untied the knot to her coat.
Her grin widened when he looked her over. Confidence was key. At Damon’s response to being alone, she opened her coat completely. “Good,” she said. She sealed it with a kiss, hot and hungry for him, and nothing but him. Her mind didn’t wonder away from him and she could only think about more, more, more. Damon pulled back to speak and she bit her lip. She hadn’t known how badly she needed him until he had spoken, making her need him even more. She said, “Shut up, Damon,” before putting her lips onto his once more.
After it was all over, she was out of breath. She laughed a little and shook her head. “Why didn’t I do this a long time ago?” she asked rhetorically. She didn’t want to admit it, but that had been the best night she’d had in what seemed like a lifetime. She didn’t know that there were so many things you could do in bed, but Damon was something of an expert, so she did have to give him props. She was glad she was at least a little experienced before this happened though or else she would have been slightly embarrassed. He was like a professional compared to Kentley. She had only ever slept with Vitale and Trace, and only one of those people had been consensual. But Damon, he had slept with so many women she doubted he knew half of their names. Kentley was sure that when he was younger he had been with a new one every night. And how he had stayed away from any sort of disease was a mystery to her, but she was glad or else she would’ve been out of luck.
Kentley pulled the covers over her and turned to her side to face him. She brought the blanket up to her chin and took a deep breath. “I hope you know this ain’t gunna be a regular thing.” Kentley didn’t think Damon would think so anyway, but she wanted to be straightforward with him and make sure that he knew that all she wanted from him was tonight. He wasn’t the relationship kind of guy unless his relationship was with alcohol and his family. But she liked that he was true to himself and she loved how much he cared about his family. Damon would eventually become a great, responsible man. When that day finally came she would be proud of him. He was a great guy and an even better friend and teacher to her and she’d always love him. But they were just so different and would never be good together. Kentley wondered sometimes who he should end up with. She really didn’t know why this came across her mind either, but she did want to see him settle down eventually. He should have the experience with a wife and kids running around setting things on fire accidentally. Kentley smiled just thinking about it. But Damon would be a good dad. He was like a papa bear when it came to Rowan and that was only his sister. Kentley couldn’t imagine what would become of Damon if he had a little girl to protect and shelter.

Although Damon liked to think this would happen, he knew his chances. Somewhere in his head, he knew how possible this would happen. Damon had wooed some pretty hard to get women in his lifetime. The more they resisted him, the more he pursued. That was the rule of the game. It just made him want more of what he wasn’t able to have. Then it came the final moment at the end where she finally gave him. She had a good time. Damon’s ego grew and also had a good time. Everyone was happy. If more women just allowed themselves to give into that, they would find out that he wasn’t so bad. More than wasn’t so bad. Damon was fucking fantastic. He was perfect. The fact they just refused him in order to be stubborn or because of ‘values’. Values were such a stupid concept to him. They were lost once someone found something shinny enough to break it. All values did was delay what great things could come about.
Despite all of the annoyed ranting he had with himself, he didn’t think that Kentley would be showing up at his door like this. First impression between the two implied this was never going to happen even if Damon paid her to do it. It just came to show that eventually they’d come around. At least she wasn’t one of those girls who was doing it because they thought he had a ‘good side’. It was completely true but he hated it so much. At the moment, his good side really was diminishing from existence anyway. Times like these he felt more alive. More like could do the impossible. The great and wondrous Damon that everyone knew he was. Even if Damon didn’t quite understand what she was doing here at first. It never crossed his mind- couldn’t really blame him. Had she even done this before? He was about to find out. It didn’t matter to him. Damon liked virgins, but he always felt bad. Everything that was going to follow him was just going to be a disappointment.
Kentley looked like she was just glowing with confidence and reassurance. Damon was happy to have given it to her. The best was the end of the all the waiting. The craving she was having right now was ridiculous. After so many, Damon was able to tell. He was also half-expecting some heart filled confession afterwards that he usually fell asleep against. Though for some odd reason he couldn’t explain, he felt like he wouldn’t mind it coming from Kentley. Whatever she had told him in the past had been interesting and not the random blabber of his usual. Damon took that out of his mind, finding that he had a lot more to focus on than that. God, he had wanted this for so long. Finally, he was able to run his hands all over her, feel her skin against his. Even if she told him to shut up. ”Okay.” He told her obediently, gripping onto her and moving to her neck in order to make sure he didn’t say anything more.
Damon was very proud of himself. Well- come on, he was almost always proud of himself, but this was going to be one of his favorite moments. Could already tell. Damon answered her rhetorical question, ”No idea.” Although he did know it was something to do with the way her mind worked, but he wasn’t sure what that was. Now she was at least able to see what he was talking about all of this time. Damon finally lived one of those fantasies he had since he first laid eyes on her, drunk as ever could be. In a way, he was almost glad she hadn’t given in right away. With memories of the first time they met, he would have been drunk and crazy trying to focus and not pass out on her. This was all clear in his mind and he was able to focus on the way he should. If she was going to come over with nothing on but a fucking trench coat, she deserved his undivided attention. He was glad he didn’t break her. Damon had needed that more than he cared to admit.
He looked over at her, seeing she was already settling in. The firetamer had figured that thought, but he was honestly hoping that it might have been. He’d do that again. People had the impression that Damon got many girls all the time, so he didn’t need to repeat. But when it was as good as that was, it was hard to say no for a second or third time. Or however many. Damon rolled over on his side, curling one arm under his pillow for support, shaking his messy hair a little bit. ”I figured. I hope you also know, nothing’s ever written in stone.” A small smirk appeared on his face. Hey, he didn’t even think he was going to get this far, so to say it wouldn’t happen again regularly wasn’t completely out of the water. Nothing was impossible at this point, and dreams come true. Damon’s curiosity was poking at him a little bit. There was a reason she did this. Outside of the fact Damon knew he was irresistible. But he felt her needing for it. Before she shown up sexy as hell but only smiled to be teasing. Now, she was lying next to him beautiful, and she was smiling on her own. Something happened beyond the usual. Damon wanted to ask, but it may have shown a little more than he wanted to.

He was much more sensitive than he even realized and Kentley wanted to get to know that side of Damon more than anything. And she had, slowly and easily. There was a bond between the two firetamers that made her wonder why it was that she had never considered doing this sooner. Kentley had honestly never thought about him in a sexual way until tonight and that was probably because her stubborn mind would refuse to because she’d know it’d cause this exact thing to happen. But now that it had, she was glad for it. She was relieved to have Damon to go to for an occasion like this because without him she’d have had to go out to a bar or club and pick up a random guy and she hated doing that because it made her uncomfortable most of the time. She wondered if Damon had ever once in his life had troubles getting a girl to go home with him—other than Kentley herself of course, though she was sure he would have gone to the next pretty thing that caught his eye had he been able to walk that first night they met in the woods.
The thing about Damon was that he never got hurt when someone denied him. It was the most fascinating thing to watch really because if the two went out for a drink after a training session and he was having a bit of difficulty with a girl, he’d pretty much just make it out to seem like the girl was crazy for not wanting him. Kentley was fairly certain that Damon could do no wrong in his own mind and that anyone who resisted him or turned him down were at a loss and they were morons. Kentley thought it was a perfectly good explanation for him to tell himself since he’d never believe that he was to blame for anything.
Kentley looked into Damon’s gorgeous blue eyes and smiled inwardly, barely showing any hint of one on her lips. Even though she may want to do this again in the future, she knew it was highly unlikely and she was almost positive that she was going to regret coming here tomorrow anyways. But that wasn’t for worrying about right now. Kentley just shook her head at Damon and finally gave up resisting and let her grin blossom into a wide smile. “No, but it’s highly unlikely that I’ll ever come over here again in nuthin’ but a trench coat.” Kentley decided that leaving everything else open-ended was a good idea because she had never thought tonight would happen in a million years and yet here she was lying in bed with Damon Ellis and she had taken the initiative.
Kentley sighed softly and blinked a few times. She found herself wondering what it would be like to have an actual relationship with Damon or if it were even possible. They were already such good friends and Kentley trusted Damon with her own life—hell, she’d even risk her own life for his. But Kentley had never seen Damon in a real relationship, she had only heard about him and Giselle from Damon’s brother. Riley had told her after Giselle there hadn’t been anyone else. Apparently the girl had shattered his heart and since then he hadn’t had a relationship with a woman, just one night stands or random hook ups to satisfy his ever-growing sexual desires. Could she actually see Damon settling down once again? Maybe in the very, very distant future. But with her? Not so much. They were complete opposites to almost every sense of the word and if they were around each other for more than a day they drove each other crazy. Luckily that had only happened a few times, so she hadn’t hurt Damon in any serious ways. But Kentley did hope that he would eventually settle down with a good girl. The only thing she wanted for him was happiness.
Her eyelids grew heavy. She hadn’t realized how tired she was. It was probably just her body shutting down after having a climax with Damon. But she didn’t want to go to sleep yet. Kentley reached out and brushed Damon’s hair behind his ears. “Whatcha say we go for round two?” she said with a cocked eyebrow and devilish smirk. Without giving him much time to respond, she pushed herself up and turned him onto his back while swinging her leg over him so that she was straddling him. She put her hands on either side of his head and grinned wildly, suddenly awake again. She learned down and kissed him and ran her hands through his hair.
She figured while she was here she might as well get all she could out of him since it was unlikely to ever happen again. Besides, Damon wasn’t going to say no to more sex no matter who it was and she was merely taking advantage of him and his legendary sexual drive and recovery time (trust me, she hadn’t wanted to know about it before, but it was coming in handy tonight). She would have felt bad using someone on any other terms, but for this with Damon? Yeah right.

One of the best things about Kentley coming over like she did was that it was so unexpected. Damon always pictured times and fantasized about what was under those clothes, but he hadn’t ever been expecting her to show up in nothing but a coat. Just one swift movement and suddenly she was completely exposed in front of him. That had been something he only heard about. To see it happen was something else entirely. He should have known that if Kentley was ever going to say yes, she was going to do it in some ridiculously sexy awesome way that no one else had the nerves to do. It took some confidence. Damon knew some that were too afraid and only wanted the dark. Which was fine- he could feel his way around the playing field. This was so much better. When she said she wasn’t going to do that part again, he was fine with it. Having it happen a second time wouldn’t have the same thrill. Same sexy times, but different surprise. Especially since it had taken poor brainless Damon a few moments to understand.
With a sideways smile he grinned at her, ”Now that I understand.” He told her with a wink, about to give her a quick lesson, ”Never do the same spontaneous sexy surprise twice with the same guy.” It’s common sense, but it would be a shame if he hadn’t told her and needed to. He had been giving her lessons for a while now- although before they had been on controlling her fire. Which he was now glad for. In the mixture of… the heat, he supposed, sometimes an inexperienced firetamer could suddenly start burning holes in the sheets which might catch fire if it got the right drift of air. That he hadn’t done before but he heard of the unfortunate case from someone else. Talk about mood killer. It was better to be burning up alive literally. Figuratively, it wasn’t all too bad. That had to be major out of control though.
This was on the verge of being strangely intimate. For other people, it wasn’t even close, but for Damon- who usually just recovered, went again, or a few times more, rolled over and went to sleep- this is more what he did. This was the general difference between his one nights and his friends with benefits. His friends he actually did like as people which was amazing upon itself. Especially with the way his life was starting to twist and turn. He found that he was beginning to have less friends, as if he was getting farther connected with others. Damon didn’t like this. Yet, he made no effort in trying to stop or change it. It couldn’t be him- it had to be the fault of other people. Other people around him were changing- not himself. He mind washed himself so that he couldn’t think about what might have been changing within him. Out of sight, out of mind type of idea. So now that he was with this with Kentley… it made him feel better. That maybe not everything was starting to turn downhill. It traded for everything else miserable he felt before she came to his door. It was as if she knew.
Before Damon knew it, she was reaching for him again. Brushing back some of his hair that was going absolutely everywhere in a crazy fashion. Perhaps he needed a haircut. It wasn’t as if that was one of the things on his list he was freaking out about. A smirk appeared on his lips as he titled his head, ”You don’t even have to ask.” He actually almost called her doll, but if he could remember right, she didn’t like that name. Or did she? Damon couldn’t remember. He called so many women doll and so many times they did or did not like being called it. Although, Kentley wasn’t like all the other women he slept with, now was she? So either way, perhaps it was better that he not call her that nickname. She jumped right on, leaning down and kissing him. Playing more with his fucking hair, always sending Damon into a higher gear. All that tiredness he felt before was gone and everything was kicking in once again. This was the life he deserved to have.
The next morning, Damon almost felt like all of what happened was a dream. What were the odds of Kentley actually coming to his place in a trench coat? Ah well- another fantasy for him. He should probably get up and go see Rosabella- whoa wait. Damon stirred, but feeling there was someone next to him. Waking up sleepily, his bright eyes searched the area, seeing that all of this was not just his fantasy. This actually happened. Did this mean that Damon technically cheat on Rosabella? He wasn’t sure. They weren’t exactly a together thing. Just the whole pregnant thing. Out of habit, Damon shut his eyes again, not stirring so he could pretend he was asleep. Maybe he’d fall back asleep and wake up and it’d all change. He had stranger happen.

She was pretty sure that he always expected someone to come running to him in the middle of the night because “he was so undeniably desirable” and everyone wanted a piece of him. While that was the likely case, it was safe to say that Damon never expected the girl to be showing up in the middle of the night would be her. She had told him that she was not interested in him in that way far too many times to count and she had thought she meant it. Well, she had at the time, but tonight he was all she could think about. And she knew that he wouldn’t refuse having the chance at her because he had tried so many times to get with her hoping she had changed her mind. Now that he was finally getting the chance he would be an idiot to turn her down. She was glad Damon used both heads and took her right then and there. She’d have been mortified if he said no to her. Kentley couldn’t even imagine what she would do if he said no. And she didn’t want to think about it either. She just wanted to bask in the moment.
Kentley giggled and nodded at Damon. “You sayin’ you wouldn’t want me to come back with just one thing of clothin’ on?” she raised her eyebrow at him. Out of all the times she had had sex with someone, she found that she liked the part where she got to undress the other person the best. She, like almost every other girl out there, liked the foreplay the most and thought it made for better sex. Men, however would much rather get straight to doing the deed without much kissing and touching. Damon had done a good job of taking care of her though and she was more than satisfied—not that she would stroke his ego and say that out loud. He knew he was good in bed and she didn’t want to hear him boast. If she did say so herself, she had been pretty damn good, too.
If Damon was more of a down to earth kind of guy and didn’t go out every night looking for a new girl to fuck, Kentley probably would have eventually tried being more than friends with him. He was a really good guy deep down when he wasn’t being an egotistical ass and she had seen that part of him on more than one occasion. But she couldn’t stand it when he acted like he was better than everyone else. If she could, Kentley would have burnt him on more than one occasion when she got annoyed with him. But because he was Damon he was easily forgiven. He just had this way about him that made her smile. If she was mad at him, he’d say something and she’d grin and he knew he had gotten off the hook. Not too many people could do that and Kentley kind of hated that she could easily forgive him. It meant he could do anything and get away with it and she wouldn’t be able to do anything about it because he’d make her laugh and everything would eventually be okay. Even Trace hadn’t made her smile since they broke up and he had always made her laugh.
Now that she knew he went crazy when she ran her hands through his hair, she’d have to do it more often. If something like this were to ever happen again, or should he ever come to her in the middle of the night wanting to hook up (which she doubted would happen, but wasn’t ruling out the possibility) she would have to use it for her advantage like she was doing just now. It was as if running her fingers through his hair sent electricity through him and made him wide awake and ready for another round. She smirked at her new finding. When they were finished with their second round she rolled off of him and sighed with satisfaction. She felt on top of the world somehow. But then her eyes felt heavy and she rolled over a little and snuggled up next to Damon, something he probably wasn’t used to. But Kentley was a snuggler and he wasn’t getting away from her easily.
When Damon moved, she huffed out an annoyed sigh. “Quit movin’,” she said. Her head rested on his shoulder and her legs were tangled with his. She felt safe here and comfortable as hell. Kentley hadn’t gotten such a good night’s sleep as this in a really long time. She wished it would go on for a few more hours, but she knew she had to go at some point. It was weird though that she didn’t want to. She wanted to be here with Damon. It was a new feeling, though welcome. She snuggled in closer to him.

The two firetamers tangled into each other felt better than he would have ever admitted to himself. Anyone in the world. Not even an immortal could look into his brain and find that piece of information, and for now, he was going to keep it that way. Just enjoy the moment (and hopefully future moments to come) and move on. If he kept his mind focused on this, it was likely to drive him a little too crazy. That stuff isn’t what he needed at the moment. Complications in his life always seemed to follow him no matter what he did. As soon as he thought there was something better following him around, something else happened. They weren’t even small. First it was love of life throwing things at you. Heartbroken. Ah, he picked himself up off of the ground and felt loads better. Then there was the death of his brother. His closest friend. Starting to feel a little better with hookups like these, boom baby. Well there wasn’t much else he could do, right?
He chuckled lightly in her ear. Good point, but it wasn’t as if Damon was going to let it go that easily, ”Next time just come over with nothing.” Although truth be told, if she came over with seven layers looking like a marshmallow in the snow or something, Damon would take his sweet precious taunting time taking off layer by layer. The last always being the most exciting and thrilling. Foreplay wasn’t exactly his thing, as any other guys, but he was willing to. Wasn’t always about him. He tried not to laugh. Wait, what was he talking about, of course it was.
No snuggling was not in Damon’s normal radar. Especially since Damon tended to sprawl out on the bed, pushing whoever it was beside him nearly off. Then there were the times he wanted to leave before anyone decided to wake up and wonder what relationship the pair currently were. Talk of seeing each other again and such. Only good for some, not all. Plus, the snuggles usually meant something more intimate between the pair. Something that was there that he didn’t want to be there, so he avoided it at all costs (who said his habit of being sprawled across the bed at night was not by design?). Still, Kentley was the only friend he could think of who was his friend first. Most of his friends were just simply friends (not many but some) and then there were those he bonded with over time. In his memory, this was the only one who he was friends first for a long time. Mentor, if anyone could actually believe it. Taught her how to use fire. He didn’t know what suddenly inspiried her, but he wasn’t complaining. For that, it felt appropriate to at least wrap his arm around her and put his lips to her forehead. Just for an instant, he could live in this moment, he guessed. No harm. Both of them understood. She had needed it as much as he did, and he couldn’t remember the last time he had slept that hard without passing out first.
Well looks like he woke her up. He actually didn’t mean to. Usually he was pretty good and rolling around and not having the other partner knowing. Of course, him and his other partners weren’t quite tangled like this. He should have expected it. Damon couldn’t help but grin at her and laugh lightly, ”Well morning sunshine,” He teased, though needless to say, he really wasn’t a morning person either. Only because most of the time he stayed up late. Perhaps if he went on bed a decent time, he too would be a ray of sunshine in the day. Well, as much as Damon could really be. From his point of view, he thought he was always nothing but golden. Except about twelve hours ago, but Kentley made all the difference on just being there. Where his head wasn’t even on that. The only flash that came through him was the cheating prospect but he was already over that part.
He closed his eyes shut and opened them again, as if that was somehow supposed to help him wake up a little more. For the most part, Damon’s room was pretty dark (for the purpose of sleeping in) but there was this creak of light that was peeking through part of the window that was uncovered. Which meant that he was pretty much awake. Besides, he didn’t really mind laying there with Kentley. It was… nice. No, nice was too soft of a word for it. It relaxed him. Made him feel like he could lay like that all day. Did he have anything to do today? Ah, probably not. The only thing was like most guys, Damon was hungry as soon as he woke up. Under different circumstances, he might have asked her to make him something. All sorts of different reactions with that one. He glanced at the time. Oh, that’s why. ”Well not morning. Its noon. About the time I usually wake up.” And leaned back, not surprised it that late in the day. It was a late night, after all. Damon actually felt tired afterwards. He imagined she did too. Keeping close to her, he closed his eyes once again, still not quite out of his sleeping mode.
