Humming softly Karson slowly slipped from her bed and rubbed her eyes,it was just hitting mid day and it was time to get ready to meet up with her bestie. Chandler was her dear friend and it was always a fun experience and blessing to have him around in her life. Although yes she had to be quite about her ties with him,he understood her in a way that no one else did. He wasn't her family so she could talk about anything with him and not worry about being judge or talked down too. Chandler was her rock someone she could talk to on a rainy day. She hoped he felt the same way with her, they had both seen the darker sides of each other and had come out stronger in the end. It was rocky and not easy but they got though it and were there for each other then Karson ever thought possible. Which was what brought her to the present time she was in now, going to meet the man of the hour and wander around a zoo full of fluffy animals which Karson loved and just enjoy the weather the company and the fluffies as she did like to call them when no one else was around. Knowing she had a image to uphold she made sure she never faltered in her grace or poise when family around.
She wasn't as cold and calculating as Jayne was sometimes or as deadly as her twin, but Jayne and her had a level of understanding and caring that went between them which made Karson happy. Because she would do anything for her family, even though she was weaker at heart sometimes and thinking with her emotions. And that tended to get her into certain ugly situations she could not truly picture herself any different then what she was now. Yes she had a dark side everyone did but that did not make her weak because she did not show it as freely sometimes as other, she was the kinder more gentle of her family and she knew that had made her somewhat of a black sheep at times but whenever her siblings needed her she would be there and show that she would care for them no matter the out come or how they looked at her. It was what family did and she would make sure that they knew that.
Adding her last finishing touches to her make up and putting on her jacket, she grabbed her keys and headed out the door. Jayne and Daphne were busy with their own lives so she wouldn't be followed or questioned on where she was going. So with a small happy smile and chuckle slipping into her car she headed to her destination. She wasn't sure where they would end up as the day went on but at least for the start of it they would be at the zoo. Arriving at the zoo killing her car,she slowly slipped out and glanced around. Now Chandler by no means was a small man so she would be able to spot him easily,so walking a bit to the entrance her eyes glanced around trying to catch him. Huffing loosing up she checked her phone making sure she had not missed any messages.
About to send a text she lifted her head as her eyes caught a sight of a man in the near distance with her back towards her, Grinning knowing that tall giant of a man anywhere she quickly moved and let out a soft battle cry before pouncing Chandler, wrapping her arms around his neck with a kiss to his cheek she giggled and kept herself attached to him ready for a piggy back ride. "I would notice your giant form anywhere my friend.. It is good to see you again,I am glad we could do this I have missed you Chandler. " Squeezing him tighter to just put actions behind her words she stayed attached to him though. Thinking of his nickname Giraffey but knowing better then to call him that in public.

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]There was hardly a time where Chandler woke up alone anymore. However, this was one of those nights. He wasn’t sure why, but it didn’t really bother him. Jude just tended to wander where ever she wanted to. For all he knew, she could be dragging his new dogs out for a walk. With a small groan, he moved a little bit in his comfortable bed, taking the moment to spread out his max. Trying to get Chandler up was a little bit like trying to get a bear out of hibernation. He just groaned and grumbled until eventually he had enough strength to get up and start the day. If he could, he would probably sleep all day, but he knew he couldn’t stay there. He had a date. A date with his best friend. Karson had been there through thick and thin. Both being part of the big supernatural families, they knew each other for a while. Not to say that the Ways and Astors were good pals, but big supernatural families knew each other. Familiarize themselves. One day they all had the idea they were going to be a force in battle. Chandler used to think it was a strange fantasy, but with all the events lately, he wasn’t so sure.
Nothing to think about now. Chandler forced himself out of bed, practically crawling to his closet to find the first things he could. It was always hard to find things in his size. The whole big and tall concept came in handy, but those were more like tall and uh… not all that muscular. So most of his shirt rather hung loosely on him or were very tight. And the button-ups, but he only had so many. He decided to go for the more tight one. It was only tight in the shoulders. Everything else was fine. Sometimes Chandler hated being such a giant. It was just another awkward thing to make him stick out, but on the other hand, he supposed that he wasn’t going to change it any. People defined him as giant. It was just one of traits and not the worse one he had been called. Whatever it was. Chandler was also growing out his hair. Before, he liked to keep it to right above his eyebrow and perhaps let it cover part of his ears. Now the hair that he was growing- the one he saw in the mirror- reached far below that. He kind of liked it. Eventually he’d cut it, but for now, there was nothing wrong with it. Jude said it made him look like a puppy. But again- he never questioned Jude’s logic.
After a small moment of wobbling over to the kitchen and discovering both of the dogs were indeed there, he got ready. The zoo. He hadn’t been there in what felt like years, but he figured that she picked the place because of this new nickname that she liked to plant on him. Giraffe. That was probably the most accurate of animal nicknames he received. It wasn’t something to take offense to either. Maybe it was someone else, he would shake his head or even duck it, but this was Karson. It was just different. He went in his black chevy 67 impala. Kind of stuck out of the group of soccer mom cars, but you know, it was okay. He was proud of his pretty baby. Chandler wanted to be a mechanic (and was currently going to school for it) so cars meant quite a lot to him. He knew the value and he certainly knew the classics. With a grand smile he looked at his watch and the smile faded. Oh he was almost late. Time to run. Chandler, with giant strides, made a fast walk over to the front of the gate, making it easy to navigate through the crowd. It seemed they all wanted to part for him in case he would just stomp them over.
Ha, he was there. Chandler looked around. Although Karson would be able to stick out of a crowd well just because of her intense beauty next to the rest of society, he couldn’t seem to find her. So Chandler kind of stood there awkwardly, fiddling his fingers as he continued to always change position, not wanting to stay in one place for a long time in case some of the people here would have the wrong idea. Suddenly, he felt a giant force on his back. Chandler took a giant step forward not to lose his balance as the familiar voice echoed in his ear. Oh he should have known. ”You better be careful. These kids are going to think you’re attacking me.” He teased, gripping onto her legs to make sure she didn’t fall. ”I missed you too small one.”

Giggling arms wrapping around his neck tighter, resting her head against the back of his broad shoulders. Slowly taking in his scent and emotions she let out a soft relaxed sigh,so many things about Chandler Karson loved and would never forget. His strength, kindness him having a big heart. Everything about him she adored, which was probably why she slept with him that time so long ago. He was a man that every woman could want,to spend the rest of their life with. Yet after they did sleep together,it seemed like they would be better as best friends, something that Karson was happy with,as long as he would be always in her life she would be happy with it. No matter what they ended up as,but they grew even more as friends, seeing each other in their darkest of days and greatest joys. What true friends could truly be was what they were, her family didn't know about her deep connection with Chandler and she hoped they never did. Although it was in the past, she still did sleep with someone not of her own kind, and that was something that was a big no in their family. It ruined their blood and tainted their name, yet when they did it,Karson didn't care she only cared for Chandler and wanted a night of passion to show how much she truly cared for him.
Yet that was in the past now,her love for them was still there but different in a sense but no less strong. Smirking she gently gave him a playful slap to the shoulder at his remark. " Oh yes because my small frame can take on this big giant. Come on Chandler you know that no one will think I could be attacking you." Her tone teasing and playful. She loved his massive size,it allowed her to do things like this exact moment whenever she wanted to. He was a great man to get piggy back rides from and she planned to get that thing from him right now. Hearing her nickname she just squeezed him tighter. Her head resting back against his back as she felt him slowly make their way to the ticket stand. Her hands softly running across his neck and shoulders. Trying to make in his body and form, making sure not too much had changed since they last saw each other. As well as for any injures he might have gotten that she would need to hurt the person who caused them. Seeing the ticket desk approach, she quickly slide down from his back and moved to the side,a grin on her face as she smiled to the woman behind the counter then back at Chandler. " Besides I move to quick you would never be able to catch me."
After paying the tickets, knowing her best friend wouldn't be too far behind, she stepped though the main gate with a smile. Eyes taking in everything hearing the animals roar and make their noises as people walked by them and watched them in their every day life. " God this is perfect,I always love the zoo and I am so happy could could come with me. " Giggling she allowed herself to run though crowds of people until she came to the first exhibit it was the Bengal tigers,up and active ,her massive form prowling the grounds as the watched people, watching them.. " God aren't they beautiful such massive and powerful creatures. Its a shame people have stopped recognize their beauty. " An animal lover at heart Karson was, which was why whenever she could find an excuse to see beautiful animals such as this she would use it to every advantage. Glancing back to Chandler, she rested her head on his arm and watched the animals. " How have you been my friend,it truly has been to long,I hope things are going well with you though."
She hated how much time they had spent apart, although no one else would understand their close bond, they both did and that was what mattered. She would do anything for Chandler and no one could stop her. He was one of the most important people in her life. Her family would always be first yes,but Chandler, well he was right after them and she prayed no one crossed her when it came to that or hurt him. For they wouldn't like the person Karson became when that happened. " Hows your car doing, you know you still owe me a joy ride in that car I am going to cash that in whenever I can now,you know that right." His car was a beauty and more then anything Karson loved to bug him about getting joy rides in it,she had a car of her own but nothing like the classic impala that he drove. It was power and beauty all in one.
Eyes watching as people were wandering around with stuffed animals, she couldn't help but jump up and down with thoughts. " oh,oh and we have to go to the gift shop afterwards." Images of filling his room with stuffed animals slowly coming to form, and of course getting a stuffed giraffe was a given,I mean why else would she give him that nickname. " Any animals you want to see while were here." Leaning over she gasped as she felt a body stumble into her, slowly gasping as the wood frame pressed harder into her stomach, letting out a breathe as she was able to step back and closer to Chandler a frown was on her face. Eyes trying to see where the person was who bumped into her but seeing no one she tisked and then slowly started to walk to more animals. " When did people become so mean Chandler,I mean when did they just stop caring and just wanted to be outright rude and cruel. " Yes if anyone else knew of Karson's family. They probably would find it odd that she was talking about the cruelty in others. Since her family was one of the darkest and powerful families in this town. Hearing one of them asking why people were mean, well it would probably be laughable. But she knew Chandler would understand, she wasn't like the rest of her family, she had a darkness but it wasn't as dark as the others.
In a way she feared it,at least most of the time sometimes a part of her did come out that had her live true to her name. But that didn't happen too often,so she needed to work on that. Shaking her head she took in everything around her and just smiled,it would be a good day,she was with her best friend nothing could ruin that joy.

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]A while ago, Chandler had come to the conclusion that he had to like the happy hyper girls. The ones that he found himself closest to in his lifetime had been giggly ones that knew how to handle him. Chandler assumed this was because he was such an odd duck that no normal girl was able to take him. That was also based on the fact that Chandler liked those who weren’t considered normal. He socialized with pretty much everyone that he came across with. The ones that he kept in contact with the most were the ones like Karson. In fact, when he had met Karson, the pair had done even more than that together. Truthfully, Chandler was never proud of his one night stands. It was something that his brother did all the time. Not him. He never had a girlfriend before Jude. So his total of two one nighters had been very out of the blue and something he just went with the flow with. He hadn’t purposely went out to find someone. It just… happened. There wasn’t reason for it. What happened to his first one nighter… he never saw her again. He apologized for taking advantage of her, and she laughed and left. Karson had stayed and the pair became best friends. Who could have thought?
With her words, Chandler made a less loud higher pitched yell, making a face as he did so as if he were in complete distress. ”Help! This small woman is trying to attack me! Someone! Help!” But of course, no one came to his aide. All they did was look and there was a couple of first graders that were snickering loudly, enjoying the five second show that they passed. If Chandler could, he’d actually probably be an elementary teacher. However, it would be the teaching part he would be terrible at. Also, he wasn’t sure how many mothers would like to walk in and see him standing at six four. The only problem with kids was that he was afraid he would step on them all the time. They were so small! Shaking his head, he continued to hop as he walked to make her bounce all the way to the ticket booth. She slid off and as Chandler was pulling out his wallet, she already paid. He looked at her and said, ”That’s not fair. I was supposed to pay. If you do this, that means I’m going to have to buy lunch while we’re in there, okay? And the most expensive thing on the menu!” Which was probably some safari chicken or something at seven dollars. Not that the zoo tickets were much either, as they tried to give schools opportunity to pay for it.
Walking into the zoo for her was seriously like walking into a giant candy store. Her blue eyes lit up super bright and it made Chandler smile. His green ones scanning the area and seeing that it wasn’t as crowded as he thought it was going to be. Mostly it was classes, but they were all in a pile or line instead of all spread out and taking up the entire road. Besides, Chandler found that when he walked, the crowd seemed to automatically part. Despite this, it seemed that Karson was doing a great enough job running through everyone in the crowd. She was moving through it much like a fish moved thorugh water. Chandler was trying his best to keep up with the extreme animal lover. She stopped at the tiger cage. He looked and peered in, knowing a certain friend who actually hide as a tiger in the zoo and wondered if he was face-to-face with her. He made a small wave, but the tiger just looked at him rather bored. Oh, well guess not then. Just waving to a tiger. ”I don’t know. Tigers are pretty popular. And dear god Karson- if you move like you did, I’m going to lose you. And you’re not going to be happy about me calling child services.” He said, shaking his finger much like a mother would to her child.
Chandler smiled softly when she heard her, as if she were suddenly calm. ”I don’t know. I’ve been a pretty lousy friend lately.” Before he had a girlfriend, he had told himself he wasn’t going to be that friend that ignored everyone else. Turns out, that’s kind of what he did. Just at first. The first spurt and Chandler not really knowing how to handle it and what to expect. Man, he was such a rookie at this. ”It is. Jude and I got a couple of dogs. You have to come see Sadie and Harley. They’d love you” Well Sadie and Harley liked everyone. Harley loved Jude the most and Sadie loved chandler the most, but the dogs were as social as their owners. Karson being an animal lover and everything, he was sure she would love that. He really did care for her. Thought of her. How could he not? Considering he was an outcast in his own family, she was basically the closest thing he could get to loyal family. Although he would hesitate to put her in that area considering their past plays. The pair moved on and she asked about his car. Chandler laughed, ”Can’t say no to my baby!” Adding with a tease, ”And when I say baby, I mean my car.”
Chandler eyed her suspiciously when she mentioned the gift shop. What thing was she possibly going to get him that he was going to force to put on his bed pillow or something. Before he was able to answer her, someone just collided into her without a word. Chandler was quite use to the way people treated each other- his brother being a prime example. It still brought a frown and almost sad puppy look on his face as he looked at the happy girl he knew as she was temporarily angry. She was worth more than she knew. ”Well uh… it’s hard to say when they started when I’m sure they hadn’t stopped.” Chandler appeared laid back and happy, but in his mind, he was always rattling. He was always unsure with himself and was sure that he was going to mess it up because it was in his nature. Shaking his head, he said a little more cheerful and in attempt to make her brighter, ”Let’s go visit my people!” He exclaimed, seeing the sign of African animals and knowing giraffes would be lurking about.

He was her rock, her best friend the man she could go to whenever something became to much. What she would do without him well she couldn't even picture it. Chandler had been with her though her darkest moments and that made him mean so much too her. Karson never was one for fooling around. Maybe feeding from people and leaving them to fall into a daze and sleep then not remember much about it. Yet Chandler was different he was someone that she felt something more with , then one thing after another happened and well they got together. After that well the rest history in a sense , she grew to care for him so much. But they figured after all the craziness that friends is what they were best at. And , that proved to be true they were the best of friends and no one could question that.
Chuckling softly at his teasing she ruffled his hair and glanced at the people looking around at his screaming and just smirking at his teasing. " Yeah but they won't do anything because your a giant. And well I am just a defenseless girl so sorry friend." Just smirking at his comment about paying for the tickets. She didn't mind though he was her friend she wanted to something nice for him. " Yeah fine you can buy lunch if you insist. You always were stubborn when it came to things like that. : Her tone teasing but kind. Always the gentlemen and she loved him for that , she couldn't and never wanted to picture Chandler any other way other then who he was now. Full of kindness and joy. Something that seemed to not be in Karson's life lately so anyway she could have it there. She would hold onto it for dear life and Chandler was a big part of her joy.
Hearing about the tigers she smirked her eyes watching them and then back to Chandler who was waving too them. Happy that he seemed to be enjoying the animals as much as she was. Watching some of the tigers yawns and huff before playing around with each other. A soft laugh escaped her lips , the urge to jump in there with the fluffy kitties getting stronger as she saw them. Although she knew her jumping into the tigers encampment would not go over well with anyone even if she could show she could handle it. The last thing she wanted to do was cause problems with the tigers and all the employees at the zoo. " Well then I guess it is good your so tall , you will be able to see me as I dart though people. " Giving a teasing wink at that. Him being so tall was a bonus though it made him easier to see though all the hoards of people. She would make sure too keep close though she wouldn't want him to try to push his way though people to find her.
Frowning at his comment she shook her head and wrapped him up in a hug even though she was still shorter then him. At least she was tall enough to give him a good decent good hug. " No you haven't , you have a life Chandler people should and will understand that . I know I do and god your happy with someone you care for , no one would angry at you for that either. You have someone you love so yeah I think it is awesome. " Her smile widening talking about puppies she loved all animals and the thought of seeing some of Chandler's made her extremely happy. " That would be great I would love that. If you and Jude are okay with that I mean I wouldn't want to cause problems." Smiling softly she leaned against his arms and continued on walking though the park. Her eyes trying to catch in every animal as they passed and took in his warmth and scent. He kindness strength everything that made him amazing she was happy to be apart of.
Chuckling softly she cheered and nodded her head. " Yes let's go too your people." not wasting a moment she quickly jumped back onto his back again and clung to him as they continued onwards. Approaching the giraffes she quickly jumped from his back and ran towards the railing and leaned forward as far as she could. Seeing them eating the leaves and taking care of their babies.. Giggling softly she watched as one walked towards them. " Oh they are so beautiful it's your family they are so beautiful and sweet and.. Do you think they would let me take one home." She had the money for it. Yes it was random but she loved animals and they just brought her joy she would have the space. It would just be convincing Jayne and the zoo keepers to let her do it. Watching as one was a few feet from them she let out a happy giggle and just smiled warmly. Pulling on Chandler's arm in excitement about the animals and the time spending with him. How she was going to approach the sad stories what was happening in her life was pushed aside. She wanted to enjoy the joy and time with her best friend. Nothing would take away from that.

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]Sometimes talking to Karson just allowed him to lift off of his load. Honestly, he didn’t have much of a load. Most of the insecurities he had were at the back of his mind for the most part. However, something light and harmless such as two best friends walking together in a zoo was something he had been missing and needing. No one was able to take over that responsibility of needing friends. God forbid- if someone happened between him and Jude- he’d always have her. He didn’t want to even think of that since the pair hadn’t had troubles so far, but just in case. Stranger things have happened. Karson was just one of those people that he was able to have for life. Same way around. Chandler was a loyal person (he blamed it on the whole part dog part), but it was nice when someone was just as loyal. Made it easier to deal. For Chandler had his little moments were the not-so-laid back parts of his brain came through his words.
It was true. Which is why he said it. If there had been someone that took his comment seriously, he would have made sure to clarify. He believed that girls beat guys all the time. It wasn’t a big deal because most of the time, it didn’t even hurt. Like a butterfly lightly brushing an arm. Especially for supernaturals around Manuka. When a man hit a woman, it was a whole different story because it always hurt. Women were just… delicate. Chandler wasn’t sure if that was sexist or not, but he would take men against women a lot more seriously than women against men. ”It’s cause they don’t know how feisty you can get.” Truthfully, he never saw that side of her. The most of other side of her he had seen was where she was going through the darker parts of her life. Which everyone went through. Whoever said otherwise was lying to themselves. That was when he was needed most. If anything, all Chandler wanted to do was feel important. That’s all he ever wanted out of life.
Chandler held his head high when she agreed for lunch. There, it was even. He wasn’t one of those people who felt like they had to repay them, but it didn’t feel like for her having to pay for everything. Even if Karson had more money than god if she was going off of her family’s welfare. The Way family was very rich too. However, because of his little placement within the fun family tree, they didn’t support him financially. They might have if he would have asked, but they had too many other things to think about. His cousin was engaged, arranged marriage to another werewolf Chandler met. All this stuff. Long time ago, he learned no time for Chandler. Although it left him in a dark corner, he was beginning to accept it more. He was going to have to. Looking back at the tigers rolling around and having fun, he tried to picture how terrifying it would be to be face-to-face with one of these creatures. Elegant and graceful behind bars, yes, but could you imagine having to face one without the protection? Chandler would pee his pants. ”They’re like kittens. But freaking terrifying.”
Yes, he heard probably every single tall joke there was in the center of the universe. A tree. A moose. A giraffe. A car. He wasn’t even sure how some of those fit. Had he gained that much weight? Chandler looked down at himself, only seeing muscle peek through there after hard work of making sure he looked the best he could be. Okay, so he wasn’t that bad. Made him look quite huge. ”That’s no excuse. If I lose track of you for even a second, you’ll just vanish with all the other dark haired chicks.” He did have to say that if that were to happen, all Karson would have to do is turn around. She had one of the brightest blue eyes with dark hair he had ever seen. Blue eyes were becoming rather popular, but there wasn’t much like these staring at him now. Karson had always been beautiful. Why he didn’t have a thousand guys bowing at her feet, he didn’t know. He knew that Trent would be all over that in about two seconds or less. One of the reason he wasn’t looking up to introduce them anytime soon.
Chandler didn’t mean to sound like he was being all too bad. He really was playing a bad role at the best friend thing, lover or not. He still embraced the hug and sighed. Her words sounded so uplifting and bright. Someone to love. Yes, that was a feeling he never had before and thought would never have before this. Jude was so incredible. No one except for Chandler really understood how much. ”When you say it like that, it doesn’t’ sound too bad. But I know the truth. I mean, come on, just because I have her doesn’t mean I have the right to ignore everyone else in my life.” He hadn’t been really ignoring anyone, but he had been worried that’s what it appeared to be. Chandler was getting better. It was hard to stay away from her for too long, so he didn’t do it very much. A detail he probably wasn’t going to say just in case. As she went on and asked about Jude, he laughed, ”Oh no trouble at all.” Well he was speaking for her, but he didn’t picture Jude disliking anyone except for vampires. Karson was a faerie. There we go.
Giraffes were huge up close. No one quite knew how awkward they were until close up. Karson peered and was glowing yet again at the new animal she was looking at. He ended up laughing at her comments, putting his head like he was proud, ”Why thank you, it runs in the family.” Flipping his long hair. One of the reasons he liked having longer hair was so that he was able to play with it at times like these. He brushed a hand through it dramatically, looking over at her, ”No. I’m no lawyer, but theres probably some legal issues with bringing a giraffe home. Though you’d have the room.” If she placed it somewhere where the Astors lived. As far as he was concerned, they were pretty close together on that end. Something the Way distinctively distanced themselves with.

Hell she knew she could have anything in her life that she wanted so she knew that without Chandler in her life she would truly be empty. He was the one that has seen her at her worst and best moments. Yes they had a night passion , but besides that. He was her best friends her other half , that man kept her centered in a way that she knew others couldn't. Her love for him was a deep friendship she was truly happy that he found someone that could make he feel even more happy. She knew though that if his heart was ever broken though , she would hunt that person down and make them pay. Just like she knew he would do the same for her if someone broke her heart. It was what friends did for each other when no one else could. Hearing him talk about the tigers brought a chuckle to her lips though. " Oh come on you know if you could , you would just jump in there and give them a big huge snuggle and cuddle right ?" Her tone teasing of course, they were predators. So Karson wasn't under any illusion that the moment something stepped into their cage that they wouldn't be thought of as lunch. It was fun to tease though and she knew Chandler would be able to handle it.
Smirking about how she would get lost in the crowd, people always commented on her beauty but she never saw it herself. She saw herself as normal average in this form , the only time she felt different was when she was unglamored. That was where she thought she was beautiful , but this Chandler often told her she was stunning but she would just shrugs it off and not think about it. He did have a valid point though , if she did mange to get lost in a crowd of dark haired woman it would be hard to spot her. The thoughts of possible teasing him with that were growing but she knew better then to do that to him. He would have a panic attack and be worried that he just lost his best friend, playfully shoving him she shook her head. " Yeah, yeah I know I am average no need to rub it in." Her tone teasing and playful.
Hearing him bad mouth himself caused Karson to frown , he was the best friend anyone could ask for. Why he thought he was being such a bad friend was beyond her , he had love in his life. She could understand the need and desire to wanting to be with them, she saw nothing wrong with it at all. " Chandler it's okay really, you found someone who you love or starting to love. I get it really and everyone has been there before. So please stop beating yourself help aright. Were spending time together now so that is what's important right ? Right so relax okay my friend just breathe or your going to have a panic attack or something and yeah ." Gently squeezing his shoulder she offered him a small smile . Her thoughts wondering how she was going to explain what happened with her family. Pushing those thoughts aside though she just wanted to enjoy time with Chandler to not allow things to shadowed by grief or anything unpleasant.
Chuckling hearing him she rested her head against his chest as a comfort, maybe with strength from him she could explain the trouble times. He always had a warmth around him that just brought a smile to her face for that she was very thankful for. Chuckling she nodded. " See I can see that, you have good family traits ." Hearing this she pondered and nodded. " Your right it wouldn't be fair to the animals, I wouldn't like seeing them in pain." She wondered where they would go next but for now she would just enjoying seeing the giraffes.. She would talk soon but she did not want to ruin this joy.

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]Chandler wouldn’t really consider himself a naïve person, but there were a couple of times he remained oblivious about something. Sometimes it was very obvious to where he should have known. This wasn’t one of those times. As he was watching Karson and her humor, there was something behind her eyes when she wasn’t teasing him. There was something important on her mind. Perhaps if she would have been one of just his good friends, he wouldn’t have noticed the very subtle change in her facial expressions. However, this was Karson. He knew her better than anyone else (at least, he figured that was the case since she knew him better than anyone else- it’d work both ways). The pair had been through too many things. If it continued on like this, Chandler would have no choice but to ask about it. He knew Karson well enough to ask her, or she’d be holding it in not knowing what to do.
Cuddle. The term was funny to him now. Just because before Jude and Chandler had gotten together, all Jude wanted to do was go and cuddle with him, saying that he was somehow good at it. He wasn’t sure. He was sure it was kind of like cuddling with a rock, but Jude was always very persistent on how much it wasn’t like cuddling like a rock, so he just had to take her word for it. Anything related to the pair just made him happy all over again. It was funny how alone he felt growing up. His family always frowning upon him because he wasn’t like his golden child brother. Now, it appeared that he had some of the best people in his life. All he needed was a couple of them. It was too bad Chandler couldn’t have met them growing up. ”Maybe someday. I can’t even do that to my new pup.” Well Chandler could do that with his dog. It depended which one. Sadie would let him but Harley just wanted to go ahead and play with Jude, so he didn’t allow Chandler to do very much.
Karson had to know that she was everything except for average, right? Chandler knew she was saying it in a light teasing tone, but she really had to know that she was extraordinary. He had grown up with his brother and knew the exact look on someone’s face when they were checking someone out. In the amount of time they had spent together just that day, Chandler would run out of hands counting how many guys checked her out. At the zoo for God’s sake! It wasn’t as if this place was a bar filled with these kinds of people. Chandler would have talked to her in the first place no matter what, but it had been one of the aspects that made him very attracted to her. It was because she was so different. Chandler enjoyed it when someone was different. Stuck out of the crowd and wasn’t like every other person he met on the street. Chandler was social- he met very many different people. No one matched up to Karson. ”No, I’m rubbing in your height. All I’d see is the dark hair. You could sit on someone’s shoulder’s if I lose you, how about that?” He asked.
She gave him too much credit for all of that. Chandler knew it too. But there was really no convincing her otherwise. She offered him a smile and that woman was going to stick to that. Chandler knew what he did, and she did have a point. All that mattered was that the pair was getting along and getting together now, right? Chandler wasn’t sure there was a point to continue this unless he was looking for a fight. Or a reason to convince her that way. He might have felt a little less guilty if she flat out said ‘yes but I’m glad it’s better now’ as opposed to someone friendly making him feel better. Either way. If he had learned anything over the years, it was that sometimes it was better to let it go. Fights weren’t worth it. That could have been weak on his part but sometimes one didn’t have to strong every single moment. He returned her smile and sighed, ”Fine. No panic attacks for now. But if this ever happens again, you’ll be sure to smack me around and tell me, right?” He asked. It wasn’t exactly an acknowledgement she was right, but at least it gave her the win against that small argument. Was it even considered an argument?
The Way families did have good traits, as most supernatural families did. Sometimes he felt the adults were looking at their children as ways to mix and breed correctly for the next generation. That’s why him coming out as a hybrid was really bad. None of them really knew his secret, but if they ever discovered it, he was sure he would be disowned. Chandler didn’t know he wasn’t the only hybrid in the family, but for now, that’s what he was going to assume. Even if he did know Cameron was a mixed immortal, a mixed immortal was still better than being half human despite his family not taking an official stance on the war as a whole. He was sure if the time came to it, the entire family was going to pick dark side. He was sure that Karson’s family was the same way. Unfortunately the pair might had to split at that point. Chandler wasn’t going to go against the humans. Even before his girlfriend the hunter. Even before then. ”He seems happy here. All you can eat all day. People sitting there adoring him.” Plenty of room to move around and such. Chandler sighed, looking over at Karson, taking her hand, ”Karson… something’s on your mind. I know you too well.”

Karson would glance around as everyone passed them by not noticing the looks that lingered on her form as they passed. Her image now was just a mask something that she could blend in with and not be questioned about. So while she thought she was just average other people would remind her that she was more and it would cause her to question herself. Did people not like the way she looked , was this to common or did it stand out to much. One of the reasons she liked this glamor was because her eyes matched her brothers. Jayne was a big part of her life so if she found ways to have a small bit of appearance with her she would use it. Chandler was someone though that she didn't care of which appearance she wore , she knew that he would accept her either way. That was what true friends did no matter what happened who you were or what you looked like. You just allowed them to be that way and loved them for all of it, she heard his comments about the puppies and just nodded her head with a small smile. She loved animals so the thoughts of cuddling some or making some happy with attention would always bring a smile to her face no matter the time or situation. Maybe she would get a pet soon someone to keep her company when her family was busy and she was feeling rather lonely at night.
Chuckling she nudged him yes her height was something that she couldn't help she picked a short form, and compared to Chandler's height. Well it was even shorter so it was fun to always tease him about it, It would have it an interesting sight to see the two of them together. A giant and a well some could call her midget compared to him, but they would only do that once. She just chuckled at the thought of climbing up on someone so Chandler could see her. " Well as much as you don't mind me acting like a monkey around you , I am not so sure a stranger would be to thrilled with that thought, And I really don't want to get into a fight at the zoo." Although it would be quite a story to tell Jayne if anything like that did happen. He probably wouldn't be as amused as they would have been though. " So I guess this means yours just stuck with me at your side. Oh damn whatever will you do." Wrapping both of her arms around of of his free ones they just continued their walk. Chandler had a way of making everything okay when she was with him and that was something that Karson would always love, He could help her see things in a different light and feel calm when she never though she would be able to. She did owe him a lot and for that she would always be thankful for.
" Yeah don't worry I will give you a good smack or two if you need it." Grinning at that , happy that she seemed to have won this little battle of theirs. She could never be mad at Chandler for having a life , because sometimes she did the same thing. So why would she be angry at something that couldn't be helped sometimes. She knew that he would never do anything to truly harm Karson so it wouldn't be fair if she was angry at him for no reason. She also knew that she had a special place in his heart just like he had one in hers. So yeah she would remind him from time to time if she felt that he was pulling away, but she knew that he would never truly do anything that could cause her to be angry with him. It just wasn't how they were around each other, they cared for each other to much to allow anything to happen between them.
Her eyes glanced back to the animal they were looking at , just to be able to be free to eat and just have people love to look at you. It was a simple life and Karson sometimes envied that. Just to be able to eat sleep and have people love you , but you were also caged and that was something that Karson could ever allow to happen to herself. To have no freedom she wouldn't be able to handle that, while the animals probably had no idea that was happening Karson couldn't picture her life like that. " Yeah that is true, sometimes it would be nice to just be able to laze around and just eat food when you want to."
Frowning slightly she glanced back to Chandler that was one the bitch about know each other so well, you truly did no ever sign when something was wrong. Normally she would be able to hide it with just a friendly face. Chandler was different though, she couldn't hide from him like she could from other people. Sighing softly and just rested her head against his chest. " I know I just it still doesn't seem real so I have a hard time talking about it." She would take another breathe and just hug him trying to take some of his strength." He is gone Chandler my father he died." That would be all Karson could utter, before she hide her face in his massive frame.

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]What she said made Chandler laugh. He was sure she was completely capable of getting into a fight, but he couldn’t see her in a fight. It probably had to do with only seeing Karson in her usual self (or sometimes very heartbreaking moments, but she was fighting in a different manner then). Seeing her fists flying or some obscure words coming out of her mouth didn’t seem possible, but he was sure it was. It was possible enough for him, so why shouldn’t it be for her? That didn’t happen with him very often though. It happened with his brother all the time, and he was sure that his brother was laughing in his face every time he did it. Damn Trent. There was a time of the radical attack- where Chandler had to live on crutches for a while because he was shot in the foot- when he had to become a werewolf and start tearing hearts out. That was self-defense, and honestly, he still felt bad about it, but that blonde hunter getting away made it worth it.
Chandler’s arm tightened lightly around her when she mentioned she’d be at his side all day. ”That’s probably best. I mean- I don’t know how I feel about running in and having to back you up. We could be like the dynamic duo and the other person wouldn’t have a chance. That just seems cruel. Can’t give someone that much of a disadvantage.” Shrugging. Though he was kidding, there was somewhat of an advantage being half werewolf. Although Chandler didn’t have that nature, there was a swarming monster inside of him ready to take advantage of whatever was ahead of him. It was one the reasons Chandler was sometimes really… rough. It wasn’t very often. No- hardly at all. Most of the time, he was biting back, trying to control the beast within him. Not very many knew of this. He didn’t like advertising it. An immortal friend of his used to know all the time, and it bothered him so much. Made his stomach turn for someone knowing what dark thoughts were battling in his head sometimes. Made him feel sometimes insane. This was one of the reasons he was such a happy guy. Show the happiness when it was there booming. Made the beast hidden deep away within him.
One of the most ironic things that people thought but never mentioned was that Chandler was a non-violent guy that was huge. When first seeing him (perhaps ignoring his sweeter face), one might think he was a fighter. He had enough muscles to spare. He did work out to get some of that bad werewolf energy out of him instead of throwing his fist into other’s faces. It still never ceased to confuse people when he would never hurt a fly. Or he wouldn’t try to hurt a fly, but sometimes things happened. His hand moved too quickly and poof went the fly against the other wall. He was able to be angry and such, but he never liked to. He didn’t like that overwhelming power hungry feeling afterwards sometimes. He avoided it all together, thinking it was better to get beat up than to end up killing someone on accident. It was one of his worse fears.
He paused for a moment, grinning childishly, ”Well maybe you can find Mr. Perfect. Then I wouldn’t feel so bad.” Double date whenever that happened? Yes. Chandler was sure that she would find him soon enough considering she didn’t have a lot of flaws that could have turned guys off, right? Maybe respect for herself. He knew that his brother Trent wouldn’t come in a million miles of a date with her, but he wouldn’t with anyone for all those relationship attachment reasons. Someday he was really going to care for someone and he wasn’t going to know what to do about it. Chandler would sit in the background, laughing and taunting. Even though the other part of him had to remind himself that Trent might find someone but the other someone might be smart enough to know they would never be with him. People have done crazier in the past though. ”Come on, we could go shopping for him some day or something.” Shrugging. If Chandler was able to find the love of his life (whoa, was that too soon? He didn’t know), surely Karson was able to find hers.
It was funny- Chandler felt that somedays he had done exactly what Karson was talking about. Laying around and eating all day without another care in the world. Well, many cares in the world, but appearing like there wasn’t a care in the world. Like it wasn’t a big deal. He liked to be known as a laid back guy. It made others think they were able to trust him. Chandler had no idea why that made others felt better with someone who cared less, but he would use that as a rock for some if they needed it. Man, he should have been a therapist. If only his advice weren’t awful. At least, that’s what he thought. ”I hope he has friends. I think doing that day after day would be boring.” Although boring wasn’t always a bad thing. It meant something bad wasn’t happening at that time.
Karson should have known him well enough to know she didn’t have to tell him anything he didn’t have to. Chandler never liked to pressure others into it. He was curious. He also knew that if she didn’t say it, it was going to be in her brain for the rest of the day, itching to get out. He knew her well enough for that too. When she turned toward him, he wrapped his arms around her, feeling his heart sink as he mentally prepared himself. What she said shocked him. The great and powerful Astor? Really? Chandler remembered seeing the man… and on the other side of it, he looked down at Karson, letting his giant body blanket her, ”Oh, I’m so sorry Karson… I’m so sorry.” It was all the comfort he could give.

God they really were the dynamic duo like Chandler called them , they had been though so much together. Picturing her cling to his back like some animal while they were fighting someone was amusing though and couldn't stop the chuckle escaping from her lips. That would be true though anyone who did try to face them would be in a world of hurt if they wanted to cause harm to one of them. Although she had never seen Chandler angry , she wouldn't even want to picture him like that either. He had a kind heart one that Karson always admired and loved , although sooner or later she knew that her own heart would be slightly cold and more tightened with her emotions. Hopefully she wouldn’t lose Chandler because of that. Not having him in her life Karson couldn't picture that the thought of it made her feel a stab of pain. Chandler was her person , her rock so she would do everything in her power to make sure they stayed close.
“ No people would have to fear the dynamic duo a force to recon with for sure, I mean you could probably toss me like a weapon as well if you really wanted to. I mean I am sure I could get myself to be aerodynamic.” She knew what he was , being half werewolf he would have stronger strength then a normal human stronger everything. Being a gentle soul though Karson often didn't picture him that way. Her hand would gentle squeeze his and they continued on around the zoo , animals what wasn't there to love about them. Big gentle creatures full of beauty , if she could thoughts of just snuggling them and keeping them at her home would fill her mind. That was just a pipe dream though and would never come to be. They deserved to have space and well a form of freedom and the zoo offered that. Although she would see them as often as she would if she had anything to say about it.
A laugh spilled from her lips at those words , did perfect even exist in this would and if so would she be even be able to find it. Thoughts of what she exactly wanted in a guy what her family would approve of, all of those needed to come into account before she even picked someone to get with. The last thing Karson would ever want to do is upset or disappoint the last people she has as family. I am not sure Mr. Perfect exists , but thank you for the hope and everything I think shopping for him though is a little out of our depth.” Love would need to wait things were to unsettled in her life right now to even have a prospect of it. It didn't heart to have the small twinge of hope and faith of having something more. All good things come to those who wait though right so maybe it wouldn't hurt.
“Oh I am sure he does , I mean animals are kinda like a family right so I am sure they can cuddle or something.” Blinking Karson shook her head as those words spilled from her mouth , maybe she really needed to get out more. Being alone like she was it probably wasn't healthy but being conflicted like she was didn't truly help matters either. They would all work on in the end though they had to right , or else what was the point of keeping going on day to day.
Being enveloped in his form warm salty tears starting to fall down Karson's cheeks as she held onto Chandler like he was the last thing that was giving her strength. Hands clenching into the back of his shirt silent sobs escaping her body , the only thing being shown would be shoulders gently shaking on her small body. Pulling away a few moments later, her eyes would the purple of her other form , shakily wiping at her eyes her hands would gently touch his cheek. Thank you Chandler for always being there for me. Eyes going back to her normal blue a smile would grace her features “ Now what other animals should we go visit maybe the polar bears.”

[style=width:350px; height:120; overflow:auto; padding: 5px; text-align:justify; font-family: tahoma; font-size:10px; line-height: 97%; text-transform: lowercase; border-right: 1px dotted #dded82; overflow:auto; color: #000;]One trait that Chandler had among his greatest friends was their sense of humor and their sense of being a five year old when they had to. The big thing about Karson was she seemed to somewhat understand a lot of what Chandler went through. The big families were always a different universe on their own. No one really understood what it meant to work in the environment of many people. All your relatives. He was supposed to be the second in line if it weren’t for his father’s choice to marry a human. Honestly, Chandler supported his father. It was different to say for his brother, as he probably had wanted to be at the top of the social little pyramid, but for Chandler, he was happy where he was. In fact, the fact that he was half was probably making it better he was lower. It wasn’t as if he were the lowest of the low. He was just in the second ranked family unit, making him about fourth or fifth. Sixth? The first family had a lot of kids. Karson, especially knowing how much more strict the Astors were, probably had it even harder.
A light laugh escaped his lips. He would be able to throw her light weighted thing all over the place. Though he wasn’t as strong as normal werewolves, he was stronger than the average human. ”Wait, this should be a thing. We could be like superheroes. Superheroes of Manuka, going out there and facing whatever foes. The signature move- the-flying-Karson. Except we have to keep our identities a secret, so we’ll have to come for a new name. I’m be… Moose.” Except for giraffe, moose was the other animal nickname had been called. By a couple of people. First it started out with Jude’s like-brother Cason, calling him moose boy. Then there was that one odd kid who came to the mechanics to get his car fixed that kept calling him that. It must have been the hair or something. Long thick brown and getting rather long. He was surprised it wasn’t in the way of the Karson on his back.
It did hurt him to hear her talk like that. Still, Karson could find him, no matter what. He knew the reality of not thinking that, thinking that no one was perfect, but that was until he found that light himself. It was unbelievable to say the least. No one really seemed to know what this meant. With a half-smile, he tried to look at her, his dark green eyes glittering brightly. ”He does. Don’t worry, Karson. He is out there. I didn’t think I’ve find one either, but alas, here I am.” Chandler was excited he had. Some might have called him just a sick puppy that didn’t know any better, but he felt so good about it. He felt so happy all the time. All the rushing feelings in his head before of uncertainty and insecurities. They were all gone. Well, still there, but at least they were somewhat silenced by all of this. No longer at the top of his thoughts but more of something to look over only when he had time.
Chandler laughed out loud, rolling his head to do so, holding onto her as tight as he could then came back up again. ”Oh? So you’re all about cuddling friends? I didn’t know that. I mean, I can’t really do that. Maybe you get some something large and fuzzy.” Seeing this giant guy walking (well giant for most people, but still shorter than Chandler) and had a huge belly. He had a beard that was about down to the mid stomach and he was waddling when he walked because of the massive weight that he was carrying around. How perfect. This was absolutely perfect. ”Op, there’s one guy over there who looks like he’d be like cuddling with a bear. What do you think? Not you’re type? Should we continue shopping?” He didn’t people watch very often, but every once in a while, it was fun. Sometimes it was just something he was forced to do at the moment.
Always being there. Was he always there? Chandler would like to think so, but he knew the truth. He tried to help as much as he could, but he knew the reality. He wasn’t always there. It bothered him. Right at that moment, it meant the world to him that he was able to be there for his best friend right then and there. To think he hadn’t even known about his death. He should have known about the Astor family death. It only made sense. The Way family should have at least mentioned it, but he was always the oddball out of the family, wasn’t he? ”Oh anytime, anytime.” Smiling then as she went on. Clearly wanting to move on from the subject itself. With a skip in his walk, he headed over to all the polar bears, seeing the big building in front of them. Yeah, it’d probably be easier to cool them in a small building, wouldn’t it? As soon as he walked in, polar bears were the first of the artic category. They were huge. And sleeping. All except for one swimming around and entertaining everyone.
