First and foremost he enjoyed reading and it wasn't all that far of a trip to the large building. Second, and the more prominent reason lately, it was quiet. Not that he didn't enjoy being out and about socializing or with people, Kinsley especially seeing as he was currently staying with her. Or even his younger brother Bear that he'd just reunited with a little while ago. They were still feeling things out and Sawyer appreciated that the boy was doing his best not to push too hard for his brother to truly remember him. It was still frustrating though, for both of them. One good thing about spending time with Bear though was getting more and more info about his old life. Sawyer hoped that if he listened to the details long enough maybe at some point it would suddenly just all come rushing back.
He'd been having horrible headaches lately though, ones that came without warning and with a vengeance. It wasn't too surprising and the doctors had said that could be a side effect he experienced at some point. He'd hoped that along with them that at least also begin to remember things but that didn't seem to be happening. He did have dreams though, strangely vivid ones that often left him waking up in a cold sweat but with nothing he could really recall or pinpoint as something from his old life. The feeling of having been outside though he could remember but where specifically was still a mystery to him. It seemed those were the days he got the headaches most, after the dreams and today was one of those days.
Kinsley wasn't home, not that he would have bothered her with such a petty concern but it did leave the house feeling rather empty even if it was quiet. Still he definitely didn't feel like wandering the noisy streets of the city. The coffee shop was an option but there was always a lot of hustle and bustle going on as people came in and out of the place and that didn't sound overly appealing just then either. So his next choice had logically been the library as it provided entertainment in the form of books as well as the quiet he desired. There weren't that many people inside, three or so others at the most it seemed, which suited him just fine. Smiling at the librarian who knew him quite well by this point he headed towards the back, glancing up at the section labeled 'WORLD HISTORY'. It might have been slightly nerdy he supposed but he found himself completely and totally intrigued by the subject. It was funny, reading about all of the familiar dates and places and knowing he'd done the same thing growing up but not remembering what school or if he had even liked the subject when he was a kid. Ironic really too in that he could remember what had happened in everyone elses past but his own.
A few more people had entered the building since he got there almost half and hour ago but Sawyer didn't pay them any attention engrossed as he was. After a short while he got up with the mind set to browse the shelves some more this time with the intent of checking a few books out to take back home with him. Rounding the corner of the fiction section he got there just in time to see what looked like a tower of books crash to the floor and the person holding them giving a bit of a yelp as they tried to vainly scramble and catch them. Oops. Reaching down to pick up one of the books that had landed quite near his feet he proceeded to stoop down and help them get the rest. "That was quite the juggling act," He remarked lightly, offering an amused smile that took what had just gone down in stride.
