Ah coffee. Goose was a fan of the hot, brown liquid to put it mildly and this particular little cafe happened to be one of his favorites in the city. They weren't normally overly crowded although he never understood why seeing as they made some of the best coffee and other related drinks. Still he wasn't going to complain about the relative chill atmosphere it offered compared to some of the busier places. Another perk was that it was only a short walk from his store which made it the ideal place to hit up before he got to work and after he left or like now, in the middle of the morning. He didn't open up until noon today so he had time for this little meet up with one Miss Harper Way.
He hadn't been quite sure what to think when he'd heard about her engagement to his pack leader, Wyatt Montgomery but he did know he liked her. Who couldn't? She was smart and funny and had kick ass taste in comic books and all things geek related per say. Hard to believe she was into that sort of thing at first glance since she came across as more of the quiet, bookworm type but get her started on anything superhero related and a whole new side came out. Which he found ridiculously entertaining as well as enjoyable seeing as that topic was a large part of his life. Wyatt didn't quite seem to get that part of his fiance, a fact Goose ribbed him about constantly. Despite Goose's teasing remarks that the man didn't deserve her he honestly couldn't think of any other man that would take better care of her than Wyatt would. Yeah they might not have been 'in love' but that could always change who knew and at least Harper was getting a great guy.
Scanning the open layout of the little coffee shop and not yet seeing Harper anywhere Goose went ahead and ordered his drink and an apple muffin before picking out a two person table. At a certain point in time he probably wouldn't have been able to do this without getting a lecture or worse from the old alpha of his pack, Tyson. The man wasn't too keen on any of his male dominated pack getting too chummy with their female counter part led then by Hansen. That rule was broken plenty of times Goose knew that for sure, especially between Lorenzo and Hansen but thankfully once Wyatt took over control things lightened up and a lot of them were good friends now. Goose was closest to Harlyn but through her he'd gotten to know most of the other girls and got along well with them aside from Indy. Her attitude towards Harlyn pissed him off like no other and he avoided her to keep from doing or saying something he might regret.
Glancing down at the muffin he contemplated taking a bite but took a swig from the coffee mug in front of him instead. That was another thing he loved about this place. You could still get your coffee in a mug if you wanted. The paper and plastic style cups were great for traveling and what not but there was just something about actually sitting down with a ceramic cup that actually felt warm between your hands. It wasn't too cold yet but there was definitely a nip in the air that said fall was here. Finally the muffin was too much of a temptation and he shrugged to himself before helping himself to it while it was still warm. It wasn't like he was trying to impress her with his manners by waiting anyway.
