I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Aron didn't know where to go as he walked the streets of Seoul. His home. He honestly didn't feel the same as he haunted the streets. He watched his fellow citizens walk by and move out of his way just missing him by inches like he wasn't there at all, but in reality, their sixth sense that they innately ignore tells them to move unconsciously. A lonely feeling spread over him. This was his third trip he took back to Seoul, he looked up at the sky where the city lights shone brightly and he loved it. He's been here for what feels like forever. For a moment, he thought about just staying here and not doing anything at all, but then, that would be incredibly boring. Thinking of his sister's new home, He felt himself disappear and reappear near the house she moved it. It was low rent and in the poverty area. At least they had a warm house, Aron thought as he walked off into the distance. He knew his family would be okay. So he wandered off into the gray skies.
Earlier that week, Aron noticed that his younger sister is moving. He watched her ship over half of their stuff through the mail to some place out of Korea and just three days ago bordered a plane to place called the United States of America. He followed because he felt it was the right thing to do. Traveling over seas was one of the most terrifying trips ever. Something that Aron will never forget as long as he lives...as a ghost.
After they got checked out of the airport, he walked beside his sister asking questions about why they were there at this unknown place but she didn't say anything. He knew, that she wouldn't understand him very well since he just mainly spoke English and she Korean. Frustration overwhelmed him for a couple of minutes that and the fact that she couldn't understand him at all. A moment past and he decide to roam around the city of Manuka. Or that was what he believed it was called. A strange place filled with Americans
Aron as he wondered around found himself way away from his sister's home. He sat in an unknown place. A haunted one at that. He just sat perched on the railing and watched everyone pass him by without even a glance in his direction. is it possible to make myself visible to these people? The idea excited him. He wondered if he put in a lot of effort and concentration maybe, just maybe, it might work. Standing up, he thought of him just appearing out of thin air in front of the persons that occupied the front porch, even though it was the middle of winter they still stood out side and smoked a cigarette.
He didn't know who these people were but he wanted to see the surprised look on their faces at his appearance. After a minute or so, he felt his fingertips start to solidify and lost concentration and they felt like they always did. Staring at his hands in amazement, Aron felt a presence of another, and it wasn't the people he wanted to scare.

pulled away before your time
It was ironic, no, that a ghost was spending time in a haunted house. The thing was, there were barely any people there any more. No ghosts were situated there, and many chose not to be there. A few strayed in, but usually Devin kept his distance, because he wasn't very social. Socialising was never his thing, and people were cruel a lot of the time, so being alone was so much better. Which really was the case now. The wind blew through the broken windows of the house, and even though the breeze did not make him feel cold, he knew that if he was human he would have been shivering. Licking his lips, Devin was in his invisible form. However, it seemed like other ghosts could see him when he was invisible. He wasn't sure if he liked that or not, but he guessed he could not remain physically invisible from everyone.
Devin took these times alone to practice. He didn't like dwelling on the things that happened to him, he was dead and thinking about it didn't change it, so he put all his practice into being able to become solid for at least a short amount of time. He knew that he would need a lot of practice, he was just so recently dead that he didn't have the strength to keep his solid form a lot of the time. He extended his hand, placing it against the wall, just barely touching so it wouldn't go through, he focused his now dull green eyes on his fingers in concentration, taking in deep unnecessary breaths because it was hard to give up such a human habit. He channelled the energy, sending it through his cells into his fingertips, his stomach tightening in anticipation a little bit as he could feel the rough form of the wall, the ripped off wall paper, the dirt. He missed feeling things solidly, touching things, he never realised that he could lose something like that.
However, he could feel energy from the ground floor of the house, and he had situated himself on the second floor. Quirking his head to the side, a confused frown on his face even though there was no one there to see it, Devin made his way down the stairs, even though he was pretty sure he didn't have to, but he hadn't managed that kind of trick yet. His eyes scanned the area, there were voiced coming from the porch it seemed. He walked forward, and he felt his body become startled, because there was a boy, doing what Devin had been doing himself a few moments ago, ans making his fingers solid. However, he had a sneaking suspicion, that his intentions were not holy. He had to wonder if the boy had been dead for long or not, but none the less, he moved closer to him.
"Hello?" His voice was quiet and low, since he really was not sure why he was talking to the ghost boy. Because he could see that he was, while in ghost form all ghosts were loosely translucent so it was easy to tell. He thought it was because he had not spoken to anyone in a few weeks, not even a word. He had Thomas help him out a little with the whole solid thing a little while back, but he had left Lenore alone for a while, and he guessed he missed talking to someone. He wasn't sure if he would like the stranger yet, Devin was very weary of people, but there was no harm in saying something? "Were you planning on giving them a fright?" Devin offered the smallest of amused smiles, motioning to the people on the porch.

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Aron half turned his body to find another person. No, not a person but someone like him. A ghost. Never met anyone like me before. Aron thought. A grin spread across his face, "Tempting isn't it?" Aron laughed. He just doesn't know what all he could do and appearing out of nowhere was something he wanted to do to someone. Whether the intention was pure or not, well, it kind of made him hesitate when the male said it in a monotone voice like that. Aron assessed him. The male's guarded expression intrigued Aron to find out why he wore that mask. To be alone? Being alone was no problem for Aron but it got seriously boring.
"Glad you came here." He said out loud. "I really didn't know i could do something like that, but the thought just crossed my mind and i wanted to try, I mean, is there more i can do? He asked earnestly to this person. Cocking his head to the side, he realized he didn't know his name. He shoved his hands into his pockets. Being awkward was never something Aron was, especially when he was human but right now, he didn't know exactly what to do. Usually, making friends came easy to him.
"I'm Aron." He said, straightening himself and then half bowing. A tradition that was bred into him since he was little. Something that even in the afterlife he couldn't just drop. The gesture was of respect and etiquette. His father was a big man in his industry, but it dwindled and went bankrupt a few decades ago.
He wasn't entirely sure whether this guy was friendly or not but he could try and he didn't know this town or place at all. Maybe he could teach Aron things that he didn't know. and there was a lot that Aron didn't know at all. A small flame of hope erupted in the back of his mind.

"Tempting isn't it?"
Devin tilted his head to the side while regarding the male before him. He seemed to be one of those ghosts with a mischievous streak, and even if Devin didn't approve, as long as they didn't do any harm, they didn't bother him. Devin shook his head as he glanced back at the people on the porch, complete unsuspecting that there were two ghosts right behind them, taking to one another, but not revealing themselves. "No, I don't think so." Devin told him, his voice a little low from unuse, and really, Devin felt weird talking to someone else. When he had been alive, he had spoken to so few people that it was almost impossible to know how to be social without making a complete fool out of himself. Which was why he stuck to short answers, and remained sceptical of almost everything. "There are better ways of using you state as a ghost." Devin quirked up the tiniest of smiles, eyeing the Asian male. In his life, Devin had never been able to experience different cultures. He used to see people of different origins around all the time, but barely ever spoke to them, so it was interesting for him to see that this man was not speaking with an accent of any sort. But those were just things that Devin noticed in passing.
Devin listened to the boys words, his dull green eyes scanning the night behind the people who didn't seem to be afraid of the place which was called the haunted house. But Devin nodded at the boys question, not even considering for a moment lying or anything of the sort, because he knows how much her, Devin himself, needs help in being a ghost. He has bothered Thomas enough about it, just knowing how to be solid and things. "Yeah, you could if you wanted." Devin stood completely still, almost mellow, and then his eye travelled back to the boy. "You could project your voice, use telekinesis and make yourself solid and visible." His voice was kind of matter of fact, but that was because he didn't know this stranger, and Devin learned to hard way to be weary of people. Not that he ever had anyone to trust, but alas, he really didn't want to get hurt again, especially as a ghost. "Are you a new ghost?" Devin could not help his curiosity, because he wanted to know that someone could be so new with him, but he guessed that he could only hope.
Then the boy was introducing himself as 'Aron' and he did the weirdest thing ... he bowed. Devin looked a little taken aback at the gesture, forgetting for a moment that it was polite to respond, but a few seconds later he nodded. "Uh ... I'm Devin." He spoke quietly, knowing that if he were still human and was able to blush, he would have. But right now, he was transparent so no blush could be visible. "Pleasure?" Devin really didn't know how these interactions were supposed to go. Were they supposed to stand there? Shake hands? He frowned a little, hating his own ineptness a little, a soft sigh escaping from his mouth. "Don't you think it's funny that we're ghosts in a haunted house?" Devin asked, his very sorry and lame attempt at making the situation less awkward, because he was just an awkward person and didn't know how to make friends. And even in that moment, he didn't realise that he wanted a friend at all.

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Aron chuckled. After he stood up after bowing. He knew it was probably a shock to see someone do that, especially if that same person didn't greet others with that type of hello. It was a show of respect. Although, it wasn't much different than someone coming coming back from American and saying that kiss is a foreign way of saying hello. Which Aron had learned quickly was a total ruse. He'd seen people come back from studying abroad and using that as a way to get the girl he liked. Plus he read too much manhwa when he was alive. He also had a secret stack in his room.
Better ways? He wasn't out to get anyone. He didn't even know he could turn visible for others to see him. Looking at the male. he saw his expression, which, never changed much to Aron's dismay. "So, i could be solid.... if i wanted to? The idea made him smile, at least he wasn't wrong in sense. He guessed that being a ghost wasn't such a lonely existence after all. "Projecting voices sounds pretty easy, I dont' know much about you but i think, my afterlife has become much, much more interesting in the last five minutes than in my whole sixty years!"
He said aloud with out any thought to his age or the fact that he really didn't know all these things. If there was ever any other ghosts around, They never acknowledged him or he just never noticed. He glanced at the couple. The looked at the male. Devin. Nice. "Just call me Aron. He replied back and looked away at the exterior of the house. it was old but not that he actually really cared and the thought never occured to him that this place was supposedly "haunted." Aron burst out laughing at his words. "It is! Aron held his stomach as he laughed. It was weird that they were two ghosts standing there, at a haunted house.

It was actually surprising that Devin seemed to know more about being a ghost than the boy in front of him. Also, the guy seemed to smile a lot, and to him it felt like such a foreign feeling. How sad was that? That something as simple as a smile would feel so alien on anyone's face, but the last time Devin had truly smiled was when he was a child, and his father was still alive, and he hadn't started school. Wow. That was a hell of a long time ago. But then he felt a bit startled at the males next words because ... sixty years? His expression changed into one of wonder, his eyes widening a little as he looked at him. Sixty years without moving on. If Devin had had a heart, it would have beat a lot faster, because ... he didn't want to be stuck here for as long as this boy has. "Y-you've been here for sixty years!?" He asked, his voice quiet despite the fact that no one could hear him apart from himself and the guy. It seemed insane, since he has only been a ghost for a few months ... he did not want to look forward to that much time on earth when all he wants to do is escape it.
The boy moved his hands to habitually put them inside his pockets, and licks his lips although none of that did anything apart from being familiar. Reminding him that he was human once. Devin really believed that while he was alive he felt invisible, but now... now he was truly invisible and that hurt him a lot. He wondered if this boy felt the same way. "Have you ... tried to move on?" Because that might be an issue, actually trying to move onto a better place. He guessed that some people might have preferred this state, but to Devin this was no what he wanted, not what he'd ever want. There's too much pain and hurt and bad memories for him here. "You've not met other ghosts?" He frowned a little, since he said his life got a lot more interesting in the last five minutes, and Devin had not said a single thing that ninety-per-cent of ghosts didn't know. Wow, this was probably the strangest encounter for him since his death.
Aron. Devin only acknowledged that with a small nod, his eyes facing the outside almost longingly. But he didn't really have time, he needed to practice. All the things that would lead him and help him in completing whatever it was he was here for. He glanced back, however, when the male - Aron - started laughing, really hard. And Devin didn't think he had said anything exceptional, but it seemed like he had. The smallest of smiles quirked at the corners of his full lips, changing the way his solemn face looked. "Some people come here for dares, but there's usually no ghosts here." He spoke more, saying things that didn't matter, but it felt good to use his voice. "I was ... I was actually practising. All the becoming solid and stuff, so I could move on faster." He cleared his thoat, shifting uncomfortably, not used to saying so many things to one person all at once. "If you're interested ... you could ... uh ... learn too?" That was probably really lame, but Devin would appreciate not being alone. Maybe having some company would make him forget why he was there at all, and Aron seemed pleasant enough.

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Letting go of his stomach, Aron sobered up and took a deep breath. Another chuckle escaped his mouth. Aron couldn't help it. The thought of being an actual ghost at a haunted house. He took another deep breath to gather his composure. Devin's next words made him raise an eyebrow at the male and wondered why him being here for sixty years was so shocking? Wasn't that how most ghosts were alive (or dead?) for or longer? "Sixty years, it really hasn't felt like that long, really. Do i still look young?" He asked and turned his face to the side so Devin could see all his angles.
A smile bright on his Asian face. Aron knew he was an okay looking guy but he didn't boast about it. He was just Aron. Shrugging his shoulders at Devin, he frowned a little. Moving on, the thought never occured to him at all. Moving on to what is the question? He didn't know why he was still here. He figured out how and a little of why he was killed. It wasn't the hugest mystery to him. He folded his hands on the small of back. "Honestly, moving on never occured to me. What is this 'after life crap, anyway? In the past sixty years, the days were a blur and all i did was follow my siblings around. Sadly, they never knew i was there."
"No, i've never met another ghost, if i have they never paid me any attention. And, you're actually the first i've met and actually have a conversation with. Scouts honor!" A slow smirk played on Aron's lips as he unfolded his hands and put up his right one. Then dropped it to let it hang at his sides.
Doing dares and other stuff like that, Aron never got the chance and had no clue. As a 16 year old, he was hanging out with 20 year old guys. They showed him things that won't ever erase from his mind, even in death."Dares, how come you never do them? This is like once and life time thing for me. Well, not really, the things you've said... just never came to mind."
"Seriously! Aron's voice went up an octave at that. Learning these things, being able to solidify, project his voice, and all that jazz could actually help him move on? That just seemed to good to be true. "You'd teach me? Dude, you have no idea how much i hate acting like a girl. Like i just did." He started to shake his head at him.
"How could you let me do that!" He chuckled and strode over to Devin. He tossed his arm over the male's shoulders. Hoping it wouldn't make the situation awkward. "Does this mean, we're friends?" pulled away before your time
It was strange, Devin felt ... amusement while talking to this boy, and he had never felt that. It made his stomach lurch a little bit at the thought that even in the last few moments, Aron seemed to be the closest to a friend Devin's had. Wow, how sad was that? His own lips quirked up at the chuckles coming from the male at his observation, and Devin felt positively pleased to be able to get that reaction from the boy. It made him feel good. However, his brows furrowed a little when he asked if sixty years wasn't a lot ... Devin himself had only been dead for a few months, and it was the longest time of his life, because he just didn't want to be there anymore. Maybe he could ask someone to salt and burn his bones ... now that's a thought, he'd have to ask Lenore the next time he saw her. "Well, it seems long to me, I've only been dead a couple of months." He admitted, licking his lips a little nervously, because this was going way too well for his liking. At his next question, Devin actually took the time to look at his face. The boy was sixty. He didn't look older than eighteen. "Yes, you do look especially good for a sixty year old ... I would hate to be here for this long." That slipped out of his mouth without him meaning to really.
Devin thought about the words coming from Aron's mouth. It barely had to be any fun to follow round siblings that couldn't see you, and he contemplated the thought of the afterlife. His green eyes focused on the asian male, knowing that his race made him look younger too, as a lot of people from Asia seem to look younger than they are. "I don't know what the after life is ... maybe heaven? Maybe hell?" He shrugged his shoulders, and glanced to his feet in thought, folding his arms accross his chest. "Purgatory?" He smiled a little sadly as he named off all the places, before dragging his gaze back up to meet his. "Anything has got to be better than here." He confessed, because earth had been like his own special kind of hell, and he wondered if this was what hell would be like. Not little devils with horns and tails, but having your soul ripped apart by people, being treated in the worst kind of way like Devin had. Maybe real hell would be worse, but he hated living in this numb state, in between life and death as a ghost, he just wanted to be somewhere else. You really couldn't blame the boy.
It was ... maybe a little weird how Aron had never met another ghost before, taking into account the fact that he was in fact sixty. Devin smiled back at him, since the guys smile seemed to be contagious. "Well, I hope you're not disappointed in meeting another ghost." He murmured. Since death, he had become more vocal, less shy and timid, but nowhere near outgoing. He still felt a lurch in the pit of his stomach, even asking for the males opinion on his ghostiness. Devin hated that he felt like this, but it wasn't something which he could help. Devin shrugged a little at his questions. "Word has it that there are accurate books representing the supernatural world ... so that kind of gave me a few ideas, because really, being solid is so much easier." He told him, his voice low and almost distant as he thought about the two months he was dead, practicing being solid, and losing energy so fast it was hard to keep track of, but then he went to Lenore and she had confirmed it for him, and since then he's just been trying to be better, so he could move on. That was his goal in evetrything he was doing.
Devin was deep in thought when he heard the shriek, snapping his head up in a startled motion at the boys voice, he wasn't sure that was a sound he'd heard any man do. It was actually quite funny. "Sure ... I mean... I'm still not very good, but I know the basics of how the whole visiblity and projection things work, you know?" He eyed the male, hoping that he would not be disappointed in the fact that he wasn't much good. But Devin could do his best, but sometimes he forgot that he didn't need a reason to. However, Devin thought that if his heart was beating, it would have skipped a beat, as the boy put am arm around his shoulders. Not at all in any kind of sexual way, but just because no one had ever touched him in a friendly way, even if it was to half-hug. At school, when the boys touched him, it was a punch to the face or the gut, so this was so different it almost made him frightened. He looked down at his feet when Aron asked if they were friends. Were they? Devin couldn't be sure, but he nodded is head anyway, because he's never had a real friend before. Well, neither of them were technically real, but as real as Devin was going to get. "I ... uh ... I mean, sure if you want to." He murmured, before moving towards the stairs. "We can go to one of the empty rooms, the window faces the moon and it's a nice atmosphere." Devin could always work better in a quiet, tranquil place, and he hoped that Aron would appreciate that too.

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The past sixty years for Aron was really a blur and half the time he couldn't really say what it was like. Thinking back on it, if was just like when he was human, although people couldn't see or hear him. He lived like usual, A new normal for Aron was to pass by people and wonder what it would be like if he became human again. Something as impossible as that would never happen for him. Aron smirked at Devin. He seemed lonely, something along that lines of that. "Well, the things that happened in the sixty years that I've been around is how technologically advanced the world is. The only sad thing I've really seen, besides the war, is the dying of a very earthly people."
"Good, I don't want to look a day older than eighteen. Although, now that i think about it, I'm older than the dirt on the ground right now. I mean, not the layers underneath it but the top layer!" For Aron, that had to be the lamest thing he's said all night, and he doesn't speak to people much either. "Purgatory sounds really scary actually. But eh, do think i could become an angel of some sort? I think that would be sweet. Well, i don't know there is any other here than here but you know, being a ghost could be much worse."
Listening to the other male's words, Aron frowned slightly. He really never has a met another ghost, it never bugged him. still doesn't but hey, there is always a first and he was glad that he could finally talk to someone that can see him. Removing his arm, he stood next to Devin. Then shrugged. "Meeting another ghost, must less talk to them, never occured to this brain of mine."[/b[ Aron said, tapping his index finger against his temple. Quirking an eyebrow, There's book on supernaturals? Even accurate? The possiblities of finding that book is like one to none for Aron, he couldn't even become solid much less project his voice. "At least you know the basics. I've gone sixty years in the dark about everything! Aron with a smile."The basics... Let's do it!
Aron grabbed Devin's forearm and started for the stairwell. Pausing he looked back and let go of his arm. Wondering for the first time if this person minded about how he acted so bold. Although, he looked back on the conversation and he saw no signs of anything that suggested he did mind. "You sure? He asked and pushed his hair out of his face.

pulled away before your time
Sixty years. That made Devin feel kind of sad, because he didn't want to think about being in this place for that long. Especially since Aron said that the only think that's changed has been the technology. "Death is what happens all the time. But sometimes it still ties you down here. Which is something that I didn't want." Devin mused, because that was why they were both there in that moment. Something had happened to both the boys to make them ghosts, and it was sad and tragic, but Devin didn't want to stick around. Not to see technology advance, not for anything, because he didn't have anything to stick around for. Not even his mother, he was all alone in the world, and even though as a ghost he's spoken to some people, there was no one he wanted to stick around for.
Devin thought about what they looked like, and being dead meant not ageing. That was a curious thought. Devin knew that he was average looking, if not less than average, but he was still young. He had had so many opportunities to take, but he chose the hard way out. "You look good for your age." Devin joked stiffly, simply because he never joked in his life. Something about this fellow ghost made him feel at ease, and that is not something that he had felt in a while. Devin listened to the boys words and nodded. Yes, purgatory was an in between that no one really knew about. Devin didn't even hear any tales of people from there, so maybe there was no one to tell it. But earth ... he didn't want to be there. He smiled a little. "I think that to become an angel you'd have had to become that before becoming a ghost. As most ghosts move on after?" Devin reasoned because it sounded like it makes sense, but whether it actually did it was questionable.
Devin quirked his lips into a small smile at the little speech about not even having the idea of talking to other ghosts. "I'm not sure how you went all this time without bumping into one, as it was one of the first things I did once I realised what I am." Devin tilted his head to the side a little, his pale white features curious. This Aron boy was interesting, he seemed nice and friendly, and it seemed like being dead made Devin somewhat more brave. Braver to address and talk and make a friend. Devin's never really had a friend, not really. Eighteen years and he was so alone, and he supposed that if he went by sixty years without knowing how to talk to people, and didn't talk to any ghosts ... the male figured that Aron was lonelier. Because such a long existence was not meant to spend alone. Devin nodded a little, moving back towards the stairs which he came down from, heading back into the room he had occupied, leaving the couple downstairs behind because they didn't matter. Devin figured that he had always been the person who didn't matter. That thought made his chest ache a little.
Devin's dull green eyes followed the movement of the males hand on his arm, and he stiffened a little, as it almost brought on memories of the bullying. The only time he was ever touched was to be hit, and that made him bite his bottom lip. Aron didn't seem like someone who would hurt him. Once upstairs and in the room, Devin sat himself on a dresser, motion for Aron to sit on the bed. "I only know some things, but I'll try and explain as best as I can ..." The ghost spoke softly, glancing out of the window for a few moments before snapping back to reality. "Right, where do you want to start?" He asked, since Aron was the one with zero experience in this, and he wanted the guy to choose where to start. There as this light feeling in his chest that he was finally making a friend, and that overwhelmed Devin a lot.

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Weirdly, Aron, thought that watching technology advance through the years was quite amazing. It wasn't like he had any improvements in his ghost to show for the time he had here. Aron more or less sat idle and was content watching the people walk past him. Not know that he used to be human and had friends. He frowned a little. Well, maybe, not the best influential type of friends but he felt safe in that bubble of people. Not locked up in his house, to be expected to do something extremely great. He sighed. The things his parents expected of him was quite large and he didn't meet any those. "Tie us down here? I felt more like it's being chained but what can ya do? I don't underdstand how you can't want to live again. I mean, don't you there's more you can with your life now, than sixty years ago? I mean, yeah, people got lazy but everything is more challenging mentally than physically. You could be fattest person in the world, not able to really move but you could also be the damn smartest person with computers and make a living that way. Which is why, I kind of wish that i was alive. Sometimes."
Aron added with an afterthought. He was quite sure being alive and breathing would consist of more struggles than it was worth at times. He did, in fact, like the world as it is now than when he was 16. Then bus systems were starting to be utilized and such back then and technology was just being discovered. It was something he pondered on much when he was alone haunted the city streets alone. Shaking his head, he understood, that to become an Angel or whatever, you'd probably had to be good and do something amazing while you are human. Alas, Aron was not and that he knew. "Still, it'd be nice that you could become something like that even after as a ghost, but i'm guessing you'd have to be extremely amazing to do such."
To be honest, Aron knew he was something else entirely but being naive he figured it out like 10 years later. He knew he was a ghost but the powers that came along with it laid dormat and unknown in the back of his mind Really, he thought he was just an entity doomed to walk the Earth with no specific pupose. "Can't really say that the other ghosts are friendly, I'm guess they stayed near their family just as i did. you know the customs and way of life in Korea is much different here." He answered honestly. He didn't think much of observing the other countries on this planet. The thought of protecting his family from what he went through came first. It was what made him follow his sister here with her children.
Looking at his hand and the boy behind him, "Sorry, if you're uncomfortable with that! I'm just not used to it, I guess," Aron half laughed but continued up the stairs right along with Devin.Being new to something, like knowing that he could be solid again was bittersweet in it's own way. Once in the room, he walked over to the window to look out at the streets. He huffed air out and smiled as he turned back to the other ghost. Actual ghosts in a supposedly "haunted" house. Technically it was being haunted at that moment with both of them being here. That cmment about this place will stick with Aron for a while. "Didn't you say that projecting your voice was more easier than all the others? Let's start with that?" Aron asked because really, even though it was new he could just practice with some human that just happened be passing by. "To be honest, i didn't know i could make myself solid or whatever it's called. What you saw before really was out of the blue. More like improv if that makes sense."

pulled away before your time
Devin listened intently to Aron's words, and why he wanted to be alive so much. Honestly, technology to Devin was a means to an end. The like video stream he had set up for his suicide was proof of that. It was meant to invoke fear into those who treated him so cruelly. Aron said that there must be something worth for Devin to live for, but he could not agree. He had had no one, his mother was a depressed drunk, his father died, his Aunt lived God knows where, and he didn't have a single friend. Yes, he'd met Lenore, asked her to help him, but that was when he was dead. That was the hard part. He'd never expected to meet one person who didn't think he was nothing after he died, let alone two. But he knew that he wanted to move on. That was the only thing for him. "I understand ... but there's no one for me to stick around for. Even with all the technology, I'd be as alone as I ever was." He said that matter of factly. He didn't need or want pity, but that was how it was, just the bare truth.
"I don't think that you can. I think you just move on and that's it." Devin mused quietly at Aron's want to become an angel. Devin didn't think that he'd done something to deserve being an angel. Not really, he never tried to be good, he just tried to stay alive. Stay breathing for as long as he could before it got too much. "But do let me know if you find away." He smiled, not wanting to be a buzkill to the dreams of this ghost. If he wanted to be an angel, who was Devin to say that that wasn't possible? "There are some friendly, and some not so friendly ghosts." Devin agreed. Some had become poltergeists, because they hadn't found what was keeping them on earth in such a long time that their souls were going insane on earth. They needed closure, and it seemed like they weren't getting it. "You seem like a friendly ghost to me ... and I don't think I'm that bad." He chuckled softly, not really remembering a time when he'd done that. Probably when he was a kid.
Once in the room upstairs, Devin's dull gaze followed the boy's form to the window, and he nodded in agreement to his words. "Yeah, that means you can speak out loud, but a lot of humans get frightened if there's no body to the voice." The ghost reasoned and moved to sit on a table in the room, always confused as to how he didn't fall through floors or solid objects. There was still so much he needed to learn. "Ghosts need some way of communicating I suppose. I started learning because I wanted to find out what was keeping me here faster." He told him, swinging his legs a little and cleared his throat. "Look." He said, as he concentrated intently on his arm, extending it in front of him as he willed his whole being into that one point - his hand. He could feel it, the soft breeze on skin, and he moved to pick up a stray screw that was on the desk, holding it for a few seconds before he wasn't solid anymore and it fell through his fingers. "I can't do that for very long ... it exhausts a ghost really fast and we get flung to who knows where as we recharge."

I SAW ONE GAZE FROZEN IN TIME WATCHING ME PASSING BY. I SWEAR I'LL KNOW YOUR FACE IN THE CROWD - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Aron smiled at the other boy. Genuinely, he felt that this was a good start to a friendship. He didnt whether to be greatful for such an opportunity for him to gain back some life to his uneventful afterlife. He knew that to an angel was something that was out of his reach. After all, what can a dead guy do? But as a ghost, couldnt he be alive years into the future. Well, not exactly alive but voicing those aloud were to surely embarass himself but maybe not. "Agreed, maybe being an angel would be too much work. After all, im much more lazy than i look." Aron replied. And pointed at his chest. The asian boy followed quickly and kept near the window. Forgetting his earlier words about angels and the like and wanting to be human were shoved to the back of his head as he listlessly looked out the second story window. Wonder for a quick moment what his sister was doing. Just as the thought came it went.
Turning away from the window he was currently facing, he notices devin sitting. As the boy demonstrated his power. Aron couldnt help but feel a little depressed. He was so much in the dark about all the powers that entailed being a ghost. He was in the afterlife for sixty years! Technically older than this person by 78 or so years, but it didnt matter. "Hyung, could you show me that again?" He was a bit sad but at the same time seeing that type of thing was amazing and as a human, Aron didnt know stuff like this existed. He was unaware of the changes a human could undergo. He stared at his own hand. Figuring, with practice and a lot of concentration, he would be able to ge there.
Aron covered his face with his palm and laughed a bit. It was common sense about why it was called voice projection. A smile hid behind his hand slightly. "is it me... or is it hot in here?" he asked removing his hand from his face and grabbed the collar of his sweater and pretended to air it out. Even though he couldn't really feel if it actually was hot or not. A half smile now filled his face.
