SITE DECISION

Alright peeps. So, as you know, in December Nightmare is changing to Proboards V5 and there is a decision we all need to make as a site. Do we stick with Proboards V5 or move to Jcink? I shall list the pro's and con's of each.

So basically, if you're thinking that you might stick with what you know, both the sites would be new coding for everyone, but if you poke around, you'll see the different ways to post and all.

The sad thing about leaving proboards would be starting afresh, right now we have over 30,000 posts and if we moved we'd have to start anew.

However, Proboards is the least popular RP host right now, and moving would open up so many more opportunities for new members and characters and plots. Posting templates would be much easier to use too, since Caution and other resource sites make things for Jcink and IF mostly.

I would never make this decision on my own, so please think carefully about what you'd like because the majority decision would win. Personally, I will vote for Jcink because of the reasons listed above, but you guys are free to comment your own opinions below. Hello! I just wanted to put this down here quickly- I'm on two other sites with Proboards V5, and it's honestly not bad. I do know that Jcink is more popular, so for that reason, you should vote for it. But don't vote for it because V5 sounds weird and scary. There's a lot of perks that come along with it (especially those with a lot of charries... which is most of us right now). Little easier to navigate through the boards than the current proboards. You get a lot of notifications so when you 'tag' someone, it will actually say something. Which is also nice for us that owe 50 threads.

Yeah, either way the coding is going to change. That's going to suck a lot. But I do know a couple that I've already converted.

I know very little of Jcink, so thats where all of that came from O.o keep that in mind.

looks like the move to jcink is on! the jcink version of the site is being worked on, and watch out for details of moving apps and stuff later on. we will move as soon as the jcink site is done!
