You want me down on earth, but I am up in space The little werewolf had practically become a pro at sneaking into movies. She had to be, seeing as how there really was no other way to feed Harlyn’s movie addiction. If she paid to see every single movie she want, she’d be out on the street and broke in a matter of days. Honestly, the kid had to go see every single movie that was playing, regardless of whether it sounded appealing to her or not. She just loved movies that much, loved to critique the cinematography and the writing and well, pretty much everything about the movie. In all honesty, she’d probably be wonderful at doing something on a movie set, but she definitely didn’t have the money to try to go to film school. For now, she just had to be content with this.
But as you could imagine, this habit wasn’t cheap, especially considering the fact that Harlyn would go see the movie two or three times while it was in theaters. Sure, she could watch them once and try to rent the DVD later, but the werewolf loved the big screens, the slightly uncomfortable seats, and the stale smell of popcorn. There was something about the atmosphere that you just couldn’t replicate outside of a theater, no matter how hard you tried. Not that Harlyn was opposed to curling up on the couch and popping in a movie because she often did that, but if you had the chance to be in the theater, then why not?
And don’t get her wrong, she tried to pay for movies as often as she could. Harlyn didn’t feel right if she knew she could afford it and still snuck in. But more often than not, she couldn’t pay for it, hence the sneaky skills she was so good at now. Harlyn had learned the best times to go so she wouldn’t be caught. Sure, it wasn’t foolproof and there had been many times that Harlyn had been caught and thrown out. Luckily though, most of the movie theater’s employees didn’t care all that much (it was more of an annoyance than anything) and most of them mistook her for being only 15 or 16 years old so they typically let her off the hook. There were only a few employees that Harlyn knew she had to avoid all the time.
So seeing as how it had been awhile since Harlyn had seen a movie (at least by her standards) and there were a few she needed to catch up with, she decided today was a perfect day to do so. The weather was pretty gross outside anyway. Overly hot, overly humid, and the sky held the promise of a thunderstorm. The only thing was, Harlyn had made this decision after smoking a bowl. Normally she didn’t really go out after she got high, mostly because she knew it was crazy obvious she had been smoking. She always got really happy and rather loud, which from time to time bothered people. But she had decided it was still a good idea anyway and got on her bike, heading towards the theater.
The theater wasn’t too far and Harlyn was there in a matter of moments. The problem was that she had gotten there at a time where there weren’t any movies starting. She had forgotten to check the movie times before she left, seeing as how she had been so excited to just go. No problem though; she could just slip into a movie late. The werewolf wandered to the back of the theater, listening for a movie that sounded the most interesting to her. Finding one, she snuck in through the door, heading for the nearest seat. “Hey, sorry,” she said to the person next to her, leaning over so they could hear her better. Harlyn was a lot louder than she had thought she was though, so a handful of people ended up shushing her. Whoops. TAG: OPEN OUTFIT: here NOTES: Come play!

He loved movies, and books, and TV and all kinds of things that he could be a fangirl over. Just be a teenager about something, which he was unable to be in most other circumstances, such as the obligation to be a hunter. A lot of the time he wished he could be a normal kid. He'd walk past a lot of supernatural people everyday, yet he didn't want to kill them, he didn't want to touch them, he just wanted to be seventeen. But as life would have it, Ashton didn't have that luxury. He couldn't go to school and make friends, but he thought he was friendly enough to meet some people out and about. He had to be not that shy to have any friends at all. Most of them secret though, because Thomas would not approve of anyone non human. Long story short, Ashton's life sucked a lot except when he was doing his favourite things.
Even though he loved his 'siblings' a lot of them were much more serious about hunting than Ash was. Especially Cooper, who was Thomas' prodigy to a lot of extents. He could have asked David to come with him to see this movie, but David was busy and Cassie was training and so he'd have to go alone. Not that the young boy was not used to that. He was alone a lot of the time, simply getting on with reading and watching. Slipping into a coat, he grabbed his wallet, keys and phone before heading out into the warm summer air. He was excited for it being summer time, a lot most people around, and he could go swimming because it was hot enough. Ashton was certainly a sun kind of guy, he didn't like it when things were dreary. He liked to be happy and to see other people happy, plus it made sense that he was happier in the summer because he could eat lots of ice cream, and well, boy loved his food. It's a good thing that he needed to train, or he'd barely be able to walk right now with the amount that he does eat.
The walk to the movie theatre was slow but still short, but that didn't matter because once there Ashton was getting his ticket, plus a large drink and popcorn, because how could anyone go into a movie without those extra little pleasures? Not him certainly, he loved eating popcorn during a movie. He gave his ticket to be checked. It wans't like he went to the movies that often, and his mother usually gave him money. He hoped that soon he'd be able to get at least a part time job in between his training, as he'd like to have some money of his own without having to rely on his mum giving it to him or not. Most of it he saved anyway, because you could never know what might happen, so you'd need it for a rainy day. He smiled as he walked into the darkened theatre room, taking a seat in the middle. There were some people there, but it was relatively early enough that there weren't too many. The ads started, and Ashton's hand dipped into his popcorn.
About twenty minutes into the movie, he could feel someone sit next to him, and he was confused for a few moments at the voice that apologized to him, because he had not seen this person coming. Who turned out to be a girl. He quirked an eyebrow at the people who shushed her. He leaned over to her. "You haven't missed much, the chick is seeing things, but that's about it." He informed her in a low murmur to catch her onto the movie, grinning a little. This was a horror flick, one of those that was supposed to be scary, but it was just the same as all the others. The white girl goes into places she should stay out of and gets everyone around her killed. Yet he was only passively watching it, enjoying the bad special effects. He turned his bag of pop corn to the girl next to him, because she didn't have anything and what kind of movie experience was she having. "Help yourself." He smirked a little, before casting his eyes back to the movie, hoping that she wouldn't mind if he was commenting on all the dumb bits to her. You want me down on earth, but I am up in space Normally when Harlyn just appeared in movie theaters, she rarely found nice people. To be fair, she was walking in late to a movie, being annoying and loud (though not on purpose), and reeking of weed. It wasn’t like she was an ideal fellow moviegoer. She’d probably be a tiny bit ticked off too if someone interrupted a movie she had paid for by walking in late and immediately getting in her face. Of course, Harlyn wouldn’t have been the type to shush someone because it wasn’t like her and she wouldn’t have been annoyed for very long either, but it would’ve been enough for her to be perturbed for a couple of seconds.
Honestly, she was expecting that response for herself. It was why she was trying to be apologetic, even after being so disruptive. The werewolf really didn’t like to have people angry with her or to ruffle anyone’s feathers. She wasn’t a big fan of conflict at all so she avoided it at any cost, even if it was something as simple as this. Sure, sometimes her completely unwillingness to start any sort of problem meant Harlyn could get stepped on from time to time, but she still thought it was better than the alternative. She’d much rather everyone be chill and get along than have anyone angry with her.
What surprised Harlyn was the fact that she had somehow gotten the lucky seat and ended up sitting next to someone who didn’t seem to mind her sudden intrusion. At least, not enough to say anything to her or tell her to get lost. What were the chances of that, considering how many seats there were in this theater? Not only that, but the guy had been considerate enough to tell her what was going on the movie, seeing as how without that knowledge, she probably would’ve spent the rest of the film being lost. No one had ever done that for Harlyn in all the times she had wandered into a movie late and she decided in those few moments of interaction that this kid was already a fabulous individual. “Like dead people? How original,” Harlyn whispered back with a sarcastic tinge, a slight smile on her face.
However, it seemed as if Harlyn was going to get even luckier. Not only was this kid awesome, but he was going to offer her his popcorn? Well hell. Harlyn was all about food, especially when it was free food. You didn’t have to ask her twice. “Thanks, dude!” She said, the gratitude genuine in her voice. She might not have been shy about taking food like some people were, but she was always very thankful whenever people offered and she wanted to make sure she got that across so she didn’t seem like a big, fat moocher. The little werewolf reached over and grabbed a handful of popcorn. She cradled it in her hand so she wouldn’t have to constantly reach over and ate a piece at a time so she wouldn’t be annoying about the whole thing. Too bad the munchies were already starting to set in.
To distract herself, Harlyn found herself leaning over towards her newfound companion as if forgetting she was at the movies and not just randomly meeting someone while out and about. “I’m Harlyn, by the way,” she introduced, feeling as if she should at least tell him her name if she was going to be stealing popcorn from him. It was only polite, at least in her mind. Besides, she genuinely loved meeting new people and making friends. It was basically her favorite activity. Harlyn would be kicking herself later if she didn’t try to get to know this kid, regardless of whether or not the situation was ideal. “So do you watch horror movies often?” she asked, apparently trying to start a conversation despite the fact that they were currently watching a movie that he had paid for. But she wanted to know anyways because she kind of thought a person’s favorite movie genre told something about them. Harlyn had never been the biggest fan of horror movies, but there were a handful that she enjoyed and would watch over and over again.

[style=width: 350px; height: 287px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/F1EHbe6.png); margin-bottom: 6px;]
[/style][/style] [style=width: 342px; height: 200px; padding: 3px 3px 6px 3px; font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; COLOR: 414141; text-align: justify; overflow: auto;]He knew that the fact that the girl was talking to him would bug people in the theatre, but for some odd reason, Ash actually liked joking about the really bad movies he was watching. He could smell the smoke on her, of whatever she had been smoking that Ash himself hadn't tried, but that didn't make her a less pleasurable companion none the less. He snickered when she commented on the 'seeing things', because hell yeah it was dead people, and it was actually laughable. Living the life he lived it was really hard to get thrills from such things as movies, might as well laugh at them because there was no way that they'd scare him. "Mhm. Yep. Like, her dead brother or something, but a tenner says he's just misunderstood." He laughed in a whisper, because hell, it would just turn out that the ghost wasn't actually a ghost but some psycho killer. Honestly, Ash wasn't even sure what he was doing watching this anyway, other than to full fill his geekiness in laughing at bad movies.
Ash shook his head a little at the thanks at the offered popcorn, and glanced back towards the screen. He didn't mind sharing, hell, the popcorn was a large pack anyway. But then the action on the screen was ridiculous so her voice was a welcome distraction as she introduced herself in a whisper. He put a bunch of pop corn into his mouth and smiled as he chewed and swallowed. "Ashton. It's a pleasure." He grinned, genuinely enjoying having met this girl because she just seemed like the kind of person he'd like to hang out with. He leaned back in his chair, snorting as the girl stereotypically walked towards the house instead of running away, cause the ghost wouldn't be hiding there, would he. Ash picked up some popcorn and rolled his eyes. Wow. Terrible. He didn't understand why some people were gasping, just because of the music and the tension builds. It was ridiculous, but his companion, no Harlyn, was making it way better.
Her question had Ashton in thought for a minute before he answered. "Mmm, I suppose, but really, I watch all movies." He explains quietly, despite getting the stink eye from the people behind them. "I just like movies in general, so I see all of them whenever I can." He shrugs, because he really does enjoy all movies. It's more for like reference, trying to see the conventions followed, if the sequel was better than the original, etc. Sometimes he was even pleasantly surprised. "And you? A horror fan?" He snickered, since the action on screen was showing just why some people would hate them. He licked his lips as he tossed some pop corn in his mouth, taking a sip of coke before simply handing it to her like he's known Harlyn all her life, but he's only known her for about twenty minutes and still hasn't seen her face properly.
Usually, David went to the movies with him. Ashton liked spending time with his friend who was like a brother, because they understood one another. They could talk anything. Movies, video games, comics, but sometimes even Ash craved other people to have discussions with. He would make sure that after the movie her and Harlyn get to talk because she might have lots of insight into stuff like that, especially since she had clearly sneaked in and didn't get caught, showing that she must have done this a few times at least. He admired that a lot. He ran a hand through his hair, blue eyes on screen and snickered a little as the effects of the blood were terrible. Hell, he was sure he could create a movie better than this with a handheld. None the less, he had chosen to be there and it's not like he'd ever watch it again, so some time wasted isn't going to harm him, since he knew that training was waiting for him at home, and research into the Elliot case. He'd really rather avoid that.
