2009, November, Seattle, Washington It was just one of those nights. Perry doesn't really have anything else to do after work than of just relaxing. He headed out of the house wearing a buttoned down white shirt, a leather jacket (his favorite black one to be exact) and blue jeans. He decided to head to a nightclub in the city that had just opened. "Hey Mom," he said on his cellphone. His mother had called him up to ask if he can look after Aaliyah the next day since his parents are going out for the night. "Hey Perry, can you look after Li Li tomorrow for us?" "Yeah of course I can." "Thanks so much sweetie." "You guys going out for dinner?" "Mhm at that restaurant downtown." "Oh cool yeah definately I'll swing by there tomorrow. You guys have fun okay?" "You got it. Thanks honey we'll pay you don't worry." Perry laughed. He might've well let them cause knowing them they'd tell him otherwise. After he talked with them while walking down to the nightclub (he doesn't live that far from it and didn't feel like driving) and approved it, he closed his cellphone and stuffed it in his pocket. Perry showed the man at the door his ID and was let inside. The club is packed with tourists, citizens, and even businessmen who decided to come for some good time. And even some people who wanted to try out the club scene. Instantly he headed to the bar to get a glass of beer and then walked to a table near the stage and sat down. Who knows who'll he'd meet? Perry took a sip from his glass, his blue eyes surveyed the area around him. It had a bar at the left, a stage at the far right, a hallway that led to the bathrooms top left of the building and a big dance floor in the middle. The booths and tables were set near the dance floor looking out to it. He had heard about this place and was glad to come. Maybe next time he'd invite Garrett and Sarah! OOC: Hope its okay if its in a nightclub.

MAYBE I'M A DIFFERENT BREED
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 355px;]Shay wasn't one for the party scene, but he was still so young, he thought he could make the most of it. After all, all his teenage years were spent studying, so he was at least able to enjoy something as simple as going out. Running a hand through his long hair, he eyes his clean shaven face, and dark violet eyes nestled in an a more attractive way than they had been when he was younger. He had been bullied a lot when he was younger, and so he thrived now. He looked good and he knew it, and the arrogance was something he believe he had earned. Licking his lips, Shay grabbed his wallet and jacket, because he was planning on drinking and so he couldn't drive.
He was only here for a small interview at one of the hospitals. Being so young, Shay was still an important asset to the world of medicine, so he had to travel a little bit. He had never wanted to be a small town doctor, which was why he was embracing all the travelling. Heading out of the hotel in which he was staying, Shay breathed in the fresh air once he was outside. It wasn't a cold night, even though it was November, but he was still happy he had taken a jacket. Shay had long ago decided that he wouldn't think of anything that had happened to him while he was in Manuka. Especially not tonight, when he just wanted to go out and have fun, maybe find a pretty girl to take home since he was currently single. It seemed like the long distance thing was not working out for him and his girlfriend, so she broke it off with him, and so Shay decided he was allowed to have a night of freedom. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan.
Shay was old enough looking that he didn't need ID, and in no time, he was in a club that he didn't even know the name of, in a city he'd never been to. He liked the freedom, he liked that he could take his mind off other matters that he told himself he would not think about. Squeezing through warm bodies, Shay made he way to the bad, flashing his bright white teeth as the woman manning it, who seemed to blush at his attention. She probably got it all the time, but he supposed that she would still feel flattered. He ordered himself a drink, taking a large, and much needed gulp, and another and another. He ordered one more drink, wanting to get a nice buzz going as he leaned his elbows onto the counter, readying himself before he knew he would go find someone to dance with. |

After a while of sitting at the table, Perry got up and took another gulp of his drink. He had now finished his glass (he was quite thirsty) and decided to get a refill. So he walked into the crowd that had just gathered on the dance floor. The song "Savin' Me" played on the speakers by Nickleback. It was cool to see a song like that being played in here and the song had people dancing to it as if they were at a concert. Why not? It is better than just some techno crap. He hummed along to the song while making his way to the bar and once he arrived he leaned forward for a bartender to take notice. "Hi, may I have a refill please?" he asked the pretty blond bartender whose hair is up in small buns held by butterfly clips and had on a tanktop and black jeans. The woman nodded and asked, "which drink?" "Budlight please." "Got it!" she exclaimed as she took the glass and filled it up. Perry smiled and thanked her, giving her a tip for the refill and then took a sip. He turned to the dark haired handsome man sitting next to him. But he's not going to bother him, maybe the guy is looking for his girlfriend or what not? Instead he sat down at the bar fully and took another sip from the glass. He'll sit at the bar instead. But it won't hurt would it? Of just talk to someone? "Awesome song that was just playing now," he said to the man. "Wasn't it?" he had spoken loud enough for him to hear though he hoped that the guy didn't mind. As for the song, the song had drew to a close and another song came on though he wasn't sure who it was. As for the guy he looked like he had stepped out from a modeling ad, with almost shoulderlength hair, a dark grey jacket, a white shirt and dark brown jeans. He likes the jacket though! And the guy's eyes are dark brown while the hair is close to black. OOC: Yay here it is though sorry for the little postie

MAYBE I'M A DIFFERENT BREED
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 355px;]The air beside Shay shifted as someone came close to get a drink. He didn't pay them much mind for the moment, since a lot of people came to the bar for drinks, and Shay was taking up a stool. His violet eyes scanned the dance floor, looking for some pretty woman to dance with. It was wrong, but a lot of his thoughts seemed to always shift back to what he left behind. He kind of hated that his past could catch up with him so easily. That it plagued his mind whenever he wanted to forget. A small shudder ran down his back, and he just took another large gulp of his drink. He needed oblivion, he needed to find a pretty girl to take back to his apartment. He wasn't paying much attention to the music, but then the man that had stood next to him while ordering his drink was speaking to him.
Shay's eyes shifted to take in the male. Young, attractive, dark. That was the first impression anyway, and he heard his question, though the music was somewhat loud. He took that moment to actually pay attention to the song, and a smile played around his lips and he shrugged his shoulders. "I'm afraid I don't recognise it." His voice was lower and rougher than some would expect. He moved his drink glass a little to stir the contents inside it. "But it was good, I suppose." He chuckled, thinking about the fact that he didn't have much time for music. He didn't have much time for anything really, not TV or clubs or anything. Doctor was such a full time occupation that sometimes it made him very zombie like. But just for this night, Shay had decided that he needed to get out a little. Have fun. Drink and fuck and forget.
More alcohol to his lips, and he was starting to feel looser. The slow clouding of his mind was such a pleasing effect, and he tilted his head to the side a little to stretch his neck, as one song faded into another. "I don't think I actually have a music taste." Shay mused to the stranger, smiling at him, before extending his hand for the man to shake. "I'm Shay." He introduced himself. Barely anyone except his mother called him 'Shamus'. He felt like it was only polite to introduce yourself to a person who breached a conversation. Conversation was good, made him think about other things, as much as the alcohol did. |

Perry nodded his head. "Understandable about that. Some songs that they play nowadays not really the type I'd listen to or really don't understand. It isn't at times you'd get songs you know tht'd be played especially in a place like this. However, it was good. Not really the totally best song I'd listen to but yeah." Anything but any of those cheesy pop songs that he'd want to get up and walk out of and there were some places. Then the handsome man stuck out his hand for him to shake and introduced himself. Perry reached over and sshook the man's hand. "Perry," he answered, "Perry Scott. Nice to meet you. So," he pulled his hand away after the shake, "do you come here often or is it your first time here? As for me, first time."
In truth it really is. He's not really a huge fan of nightclubs but why not get it a shot? As for the guy it was nice to talk to him though he hoped that he wasn't really annoying. Sometimes Perry can be, believe it or not, but who isn't perfect? He is thankful that at least he can hold his tongue. There are times his sister Aaliyah doesn't (after all she is still a teen) and Garrett (believe it or not.) But hey, they're human. He took a sip from his drink while he waited for the guy to speak and then set it down. Then a remix of one of Madonna's songs came on. He looked up towards the sound of it coming through and then turned his head to see the people getting to the dance floor and dance madly as ever. He rolled his eyes. Over a remaix of a song? He wondered if they would if it wasn't a remix. He wouldn't. He'd dance to it if he likes it. But hey they have their own. He turned towards Shay now.

MAYBE I'M A DIFFERENT BREED
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 355px;]The man had a lot to say it seemed, and Shay liked that. He found it interesting when people spoke a lot because it was really an insight into their minds, and a twenty-three year old Shay was curious about a lot of things. He nodded to the males words. "Yeah, I get that. Then again, I don't get much time to just enjoy music." He mused, because his job required so many hours that he didn't really have time for anything. When the male spoke his name Shay offered a smile. "It's a pleasure, Perry." He grinned, the grip on his hand firm like he would expect.
Shay shook his head at his question and sighed. "Not really. I barely get any time to do anything." He furthered, he didn't want to whine but it was the truth and there wasn't much he could say. "First time? I hope you're not disappointed." Shay laughs a little teasingly, his violet eyes bright with mirth and happiness because he was free to do what he liked. He was young, he was out, his eyes searching out maybe potential female prospects but he was fine just spending time with this stranger for a few moments as he drank from his glass, a low hum at his lips.
The doctor glanced around the people in the club, having a good time, but he was content just to nurse his drink for a few moments. He caught the eye of a pretty girl, flashing her a small smile before turning back to Perry. "So, Perry. What are you doing here? First time and all, must be a reason for it?" He asked, curious to know, violet eyes scanning his companions face with interest. Shay was generally very interested in people, and Perry seemed like an interesting guy. |

"You don't? That's okay, some people do, some don't. That's what makes it great to be different and be in this country," he replied, saying the truth as well. He really felt patriotic sometimes and it may be stupid but why not? After all this is America. But he made a good strong point. "However I tend to because well...I have a little sister who likes to listen to all types in the house. So you had no choice but to hear tons of music." Perry chuckled a little as he remembering it rather quickly per say. However he didn't realized he talked a lot. One of the many flaws of him but the guy didn't seem bothered by it. Sometimes if Perry did the person would get up and walk off. But not this guy. As a matter of fact, he liked that. Perry grinned back, even after the guy said it was nice to meet him and had a good firm shake as well as he did. Perry always had one though. He never shakes lightly and it showed that he is in fact a guy (even though some thinks he was gay since he mostly hung out with women than of men. Well considering that there are two women in his house and that some of the women he knew was childhood friends, then yeah). However he does some guy stuff as well. "Hope you would one day, maybe you should see if you can take a break. So, what do you do that takes up most of your time?" he wasn't asking in a rude way but rather curious. "Oh no, not at all. Sitting here having a drink talking to a nice guy like you, seems like a rather good night so far." Then he gave a wink. So what if he seemed flirty? He was actually saying the truth. He looked over his shoulder at a girl who had her eyes laid on Shay and then quickly turned towards his new companion. "Hey if I have to say, you have a pretty set of beautiful eyes staring at you." He grinned though. Yep, the art of being a bisexual! "And she wasn't a bad looker either." OOC: Though I'm a bad "mom" of Perry I forgot to have him answer this. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY for a three week late post! Perry wasn't happy about it either yep he was like, "I OWE POOR SHAY A POST YOU...YOU..." well insert bad words here.
