Callum enjoyed the days when not much was going on, if only because he could decide what he wanted to do. Grayson and Micah were nowhere to be found, and January was busy, so he was all by his lonesome. A lot of people felt sorry for him when he was alone, just because he was deaf if seemed like people didn't want to be friends with him. Callum had believed that to be true before he moved to Manuka. Of course, there were those bullies that wanted nothing but bad to happen to the young werewolf, but he's made more than a few friends and that surprised him. All of his life, Callum had only had one friend that wasn't his brothers, and that had been Franky. Unfortunately, they moved to America and she was left behind, and Callum had cried. There was no way the young girl could be replaced, but he was glad that he was making friends.
Making friends had never been an easy feat for him, being deaf and all, not everyone knew sign language and most people didn't really understand when he spoke out loud. He had that kind of accent, like when people were with headphones and speaking out loud, they couldn't hear themselves speak. Being turned into a wolf didn't magically fix his hearing like it did in the movies, and Callum knew he was no spider-man, but that had been a disappointment. None the less, the boy held his beloved camera between his fingers and left his house. He loved taking pictures, loved capturing something beautiful just the right way and having the world see it. There was so much beauty everywhere, and he was glad that there was a opportunity to take pictures of such a thing.
Callum walked slowly, enjoying the fresh air. Of course, he could smell things a lot better now, and he enjoyed the smell of fresh air, but sometimes the smell's weren't too nice. Never mind, he noted a yellow hat caught in a green bush. He loved the contrast, and therefore he moved to take a picture. He hoped that no one thought he was strange, but in his element, he didn't mind. For some people music was their way to escape, yet for Callum it was photography, it was the only thing he had and he loved it. But the smell of coffee made his stomach twist in longing, and he checked his pockets to see if he had any money. He did, and he was happy for that. He let his camera hang around his neck and he entered the little building, the smell of coffee and sweet snacks hitting his nose. Callum smiled to himself softly, and went to order something.
While he was waiting for his hot chocolate, he looked around the place. There weren't that many people there, and quite a few free tables, but Callum liked the peace. Once he got his drink, he placed it on a table and was about to sit down when his eyes caught onto a girl. He stared at her a while, taking her in, and he couldn't help but notice just how striking she was. The dreads and the contrast with her eyes was something Callum has never seen, and the interest in him was making him want to swallow down his awkwardness. Yet Callum was the most awkward person he knew, but he didn't want to intrude. Biting his lip, he tentatively walked towards the girl, feet shuffling and his cheeks scarlet. He spoke out loud, knowing he'd need to read her lips. "I - I'm sorry ... I was ... uh ... wondering if I - I could take a picture for my blog?" That was both painfully slow and rushed, his own blue eyes wide in fear that she would take offence. He swallowed. This was such a bad idea.

"what's your name?" she asked the man, with a sweet smile, and then added, "my name is serah, if you were interested in knowing." she replied, softly but clearly. this is normally when she got a little ramble-y, so she was trying not to talk a lot. she was also wondering why he would want a picture of a random girl in a bakery shop. she let a soft breathe, she lightly started nibbling her lip and glanced away momentarily before returning her graze at her. "what's your blog about?" she asked, now at this point she had slowly started growing a tread of curiosity for this young man and what made him the way that he was. she was also growing in curiosity what was his accent from, but she wasn't going to be rude and ask him out plainly. she really didn't feel like being rude today. people normally subconsciously judged other people without meaning to, this is normally how people figure out what type of direction they would be able to take the conversation. or there was the off chance that someone could develop affection towards that person. right now, she was going to figure out what type of personality he had, before any form affection would be brought out, unless alcohol played apart in her social interactions. tagged;; jurate with callum clothing;; clickywords 649 notes no, i don't mind. God, social interactions with Callum were so painful most of the time. It didn't matter who he spoke to, whether they were male, female, old or young, if the werewolf doesn't know you, he will pretty much be the most awkward person you'll meet. This was why he couldn't meet the girl's gaze, yet his eyes were on her mouth, searching for her answer. Sometimes he wondered that it was like to hear everything. His hearing aid helped him work out some sounds, but even then conversations seemed so far off. He was only ever himself and within a proper conversation when he was speaking in sign language. The apology had come out as instinct for disturbing the girl, and he worked out from the movements of her mouth that she didn't know why he was apologising. Callum bit down on his lower lip and ran a hand through his hair. "Uh ... f-for disturbing your peace?" He wanted to explain himself, tell her that he didn't mean to, but sometimes he wasn't able to say the things which he wanted to say. It seemed like it would be one of these days where Callum couldn't get a sentence out without stuttering.
But then she carried onto saying yes, and Callum's eyes widened, and shot up to meet hers for just a moment before they were back on her mouth, reading what she was saying. He must look like such a creep. but it was impossible to talk to people any other way without telling them about his deafness. However, Callum's lips moved into a bright smile that lip up his whole face, before an array of emotions flickered over it. He was really an open book, always has been and he shook his head, almost wildly, just so she wouldn't think he could hate on anything. "No! N-no." He cleared his throat and his fingers fiddled with the camera around his neck. Callum had to take a deep breath, and he closed his eyes for just a moment to relax himself. He could do this. Since coming to Manuka he had interacted with more people than in his whole life time put together. He could do this. "I just think your look ... it's ... striking, very beautiful." When Callum said these things, he never realised that they could be taken the wrong way. He was too innocent than to mean it in any other way but factual.
His innocence was the reason for much mockery. The first and only time he had kissed a girl was at a party, and she had thought that he was his twin brother Grayson. Callum would blush at holding hands, much like he did when January held his, and it was all making his head spin because the closest he'd ever got to a girl before that, was the girl in the night who was in hysterics and really needed someone to just hug her. Callum could do that, comfort could be very much in his element. "Thank you!" He said, trying to sound confident as he picked up his camera, expertly moving his fingers over the device to get an angle he liked. He snapped a picture, and then another before stopping. Both of those were with the girl looking at the camera, but the young werewolf had another idea. He was blushing again, not knowing if he was allowed to make a request or not. "C-could you, um, look down just for a moment?" He breathed, wanting to get more of her hair. He snapped the pictures, and he was so pleased with himself as he looked at his camera screen.
Callum was about to say thank you and leave, but he noticed her mouth moving and only caught the last part. Serah. He smiled, and he figured that it would be only polite to introduce himself. "I'm Callum. I like to take pictures." He didn't stutter, but that was because this was a well practised line, not realising that it could make him sound weird. But then she asked him a question, and Callum shuffled on his feet a little. "It's of things that I find worth taking pictures of." His voice was almost a low murmur, and he couldn't hear himself so he only thought that was what he said. Well, he had thought it in his mind and hoped that the thought met his mouth. "I-it can be of anything! People, places, a piece of litter." He was explaining, more information offered to a stranger than he ever had really because he was talking about his passion like people spoke to each other about music. "I really appreciate you letting me take your picture." His voice was genuine, and for the second time since he approached Serah, he met her eyes, and not though a barrier of a camera lens.

i'm waiting some some kind of miracle [atrb=border,0,true][style=width: 200px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto] There were often at times where she enjoyed the awkward in the another person, but it seemed like other people felt like she was awkward throughout her other unique flare. She also noticed that the young man couldn't meet her gaze for one reason, or another, and she was pretty sure she grew curious about it, instead of getting annoyed of him being 'rude'. She knew that some people were just too shy from social interactions. She picked up her glass, wrapping her lips around the straw of her drink, and took a small sip from the liquid substance. The female werewolf was considering the possiblities of this skettish young man to be friend or foe, but she was slowly leaning towards the friend section. She was slightly amused by the fact that he felt the need to appologize with her, so she tilted her head slightly removing her lips from her straw. In her life, too her friends normally hear the things that she didn't like out of life and some of the things where pretty simple things. She lifted her hand and fixed a few of the stray bangs back to being perfectly straighten along her surface of her forehead. it was the only part of her hair that wasn't in dreads fixed and couldn't remember a time when she just left her hair out of dreads. "Oh, I don't mind." she responded to him, and gave him a small smile. Noticing the guys reaction to her answer to him seemed to have surprised him, and her eyes connected with his gazed, which caused the corners of her mouth to tilt upwards. She throughly enjoyed the smile that spread across the guys face that was across from her. She noticed his reaction towards her reply to him, and let out a soft giggle, throughly amused by the way the guy was rection towards her, and flashed him a smile. She felt awhole lot better that her face wasn't going to be setting on a blog that was filled with hate, as she watched him fiddling with his camera. She let out a soft breathe, taking another small sip from her drink and almost choaked on the liquid when she heard his statement on calling her look striking and very beautiful. She was used to getting other compliments that resorted in pretty or sexy, but never really got the word beautiful before, she looked back up at him, "Oh, thank you. That's sweet of you." she replied. It could be very apparent that she was in a very good mood today. She really could not remember the last time that she felt innocent about her behavior concerning any form of sexual content or romantic interest. She was always hopeful that she was going to find someone to fall for her, and her feel the same way towards them; she tended to always be the one left in a heartbroken mess. She mentally shook that thought process out of her head. She heard him answer with a thankful, "You're welcome!" she replied to him, smiling at ease. Her eyes were turned towards the camera lense while she noticed the small detail of him pushing on the button twice, probably making sure that he had a good enough shot to be able to put put onto his internet. She lifted her head when she watching his face took on a light pink color, and she heard his question for her to look down as a reguest. Her top row of teeth grazed over her bottom lip, and gave him a light nod before looking down pausing a moment. She already figured that it had something to do with her hair style, and when she figured that he was finished, she looked back up to him and smiled, "Are you pleased with your captures?" she asked him, out of curiousity. Thinking that introducing herself was the polite thing to do, but she didn't think the possiblity that she would never seen this person again. She tended to be one of the most hopeful people that someone could possibly meet in a day, but isn't quite out in lights. She heard him say that his name was Callum, with the whole pictures thing was self-explainatory. She also noticed that he didn't stutter that time, and she gave him a soft nod, "You have been pleasant to talk to, mister Callum." she replied to him, and flashed him a friendly smile. She heard him answer her question that was partianing to her question to him, and heard him murmur something before that, "Well i'm not litter." she joked, out of her own sense of human and let out a soft giggle. She took another sip from her drink and listen to him telling her the appreciation about her picture, "No problem, Callum." she replied to him, giving him a small playful wink tagged;; jurate with callum clothing;; clickywords alot (i only have a short amount of time to post) notes i got an wifi hotspot to work, and i'm posting my replies while it's working xD [/style] | [/style] |
