Even though she had come to terms with being dead, there was a freedom that she missed about being alive. January got to spend time on the earth still, but in such a limited capacity that it broke her heart sometimes, and going home to the Heavens never really felt like home ever since her best friend Arya had fallen. Callum, her charge, was someone that she loved taking care of and looking after, and that gave her a sense of purpose that nothing else could do for her anymore. Still, it hurt that she had to lie to him about so much, because January hated dishonesty more than just about anything – she'd always been a good girl, raised with high moral standards and a good conscience, but she was lying to a person who was probably the most important in the world to her, given that if anything bad ever happened to him, she would face extreme consequences, or worse... her life could be forfeit. But it was more than just the whole guardian angel/charge bond that kept January close to Callum – the deaf werewolf was so sweet, shy, and wonderful that he melted her heart and made her want to constantly wrap her arms around him, or maybe even kiss him senseless, but she hadn't gotten up the courage to do that, and knew that an angel falling in love with his or her charge was strictly forbidden, and could cost her the wings that she'd been blessed to have in the first place.
Sometimes, her wings felt like a burden, even though for so many, they were a symbol of freedom. After Arya had fallen, and January had witnessed the horrible event, she started to wonder – if not for the pain, what would she really lose by being able to live freely on the earth, and not have to answer to rules and to the whims of higher powers? She could do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted, and she wouldn't have to lie to Callum, either. Maybe she could seek out her family again, although she knew that it would be so difficult to explain to them what had happened; she had been an angel, and because of a bad decision had lost her wings and subsequently fallen from grace. That, she was almost certain, would be a disappointment to them, even if they understood her reasoning behind it all. And Callum... what would he say to the thought of her being an angel of any kind? That she was his guardian angel, but she had been selfish and given it up to be closer to him? The wings and the title were a burden, but she supposed that keeping them, and keeping to her place as a guardian was for the best. For now. Tonight, she was following Callum home from a late-night study session at the library, and even though it killed her that she couldn't make her presence known, it was her job to make sure he got home safely, and he had. From there, the blonde angel knew that she should report back to the Heavens, take her place back up in the skies, but she was distracted by the sound of music.
It drew her in like a moth to the flame, and even though she wasn't usually the type to sneak into places, January found herself sneaking in through a back entrance of the Palladium, wanting to hear the concert that was playing. She didn't have money for a ticket, anyway, so this was the best option. However, once she made it inside the gate, she noticed a woman staring at her, like she'd been caught, and January gave a pitiful little expression. ”Please don't tell anyone that you saw me sneaking in. I mean, if I get caught, that's my own fault, but... I just wanted to hear the music. I'm not any trouble, I promise.” And she really wasn't. January was basically harmless, and wouldn't hurt a fly unless that fly was trying to hurt Callum for some unknown reason. She hoped the woman wouldn't tell on her, but she supposed that all actions had consequences, even if you were a divine being.

This had been going well for Calista her life had been going well, she had just seen Alpha earlier. Having a chat with her always helped her feel more balanced and happy. While nothing was ever truly bothering her, she didn't mind always getting more opinions from her advice. Alpha was a great advice giver she had known the world since it's creation and that was great. Cali couldn't be happier to worship, and be with a woman who in a sense was the embodiment of life. The war though that was whispered to take place it was still unsettling to Cali she didn't like when things weren't unbalanced. Because even though their would always be fighting, why it needed to happen now didn't make sense to her and probably no sense to Alpha but she wouldn't speak for her Goddess she knew that Alpha was more then capable of speaking for herself. That didn't stop her from wondering though and trying to figure out exactly which side would come out on top. She didn't wish either side to be fighting, but if they had to fight she would just watch and hope for the best. She knew that no matter what happened one would win , and the other side would lose, That didn't mean she wouldn't feel saddened by that fact though.
She was more atune with the world then other, she felt at peace with nature so she would always enjoy being around it. Feeling the peace of the it, just the beauty of it. She hadn't met many like herself who loved nature as much, and she wouldn't blame them for that. She enjoyed who she was and what she stood for, so she would just allow them to be who they are just like she would stay true who she was. So even though she had been here a few years , she truly hadn't really explored the town, she had spent most of time in the parts or the forest. When she wasn't doing either of those things though. She would from time to time wander the city and see what happened which was what brought her out tonight. Laughing softly she would spread her arms out and chuckle just enjoying the feeling of the air on her skin. The emotions in her air, yes this was a beautiful moment and she was going to plan on enjoying it.
She had saw posters hanging up, a concert was happening live music , something that she could enjoy as well. After heading to the Palladium she would pay her ticket and slip inside. Listening to the music , she would sway to the music humming softly. They were actually pretty good, she had heard better but they weren't bad. So she would tap her fingers and sway slowly allowing the music to take her. Her eyes would wander around until she thought she saw something in the distance she would wander near the noise stopping for a moment. It was she was rather adorable in a way, although she couldn't really say she ever sneak in to a place this girl did have style. A small smile would form and she would grin. " Oh your secret is safe with me. Don't worry if anything I can just hand you my ticket for a quick second if they ask before taking it back. It is a pretty good show so I am glad that you take to take a part of it. " Hearing the not trouble part she would chuckle again and nod. " I don't think you are so you don't have to worry. I'm Calista please join me and we can enjoy the show together."

Once January knew she had been spotted sneaking in to The Palladium, the angel wanted to give herself a 'facepalm' moment. Of course she could have just turned invisible – guardian angels could do that, after all, but she hadn't thought about it. January tried to refrain from using her powers when it wasn't completely necessary for the protection of her charge, because that was what the rules dictated, and was the standard that all angels were supposed to be held to. The blonde knew that some of the angels had a tendency to bend the rules sometimes, but as long as it didn't cause any harm to their charge, risk exposure, or get them in trouble or compromised during a mission, it was a minor offense, and the 'higher powers' in the angelic court had a tendency to look the other way. Still, January was a good little rule-follower, and wanted to do the best she could, and surprised herself by sneaking into the venue just because she was bored, she was sad about all she was missing out on since she was no longer alive, and the music just sounded so pretty.
She'd always been the athletic type, and stayed in good shape, and even though she wasn't as used to having a corporeal body as she used to be, since she only had one while she was on the earth, January made it into The Palladium pretty easily, but not without being spotted by a young woman with long, brown hair and kind eyes. January felt like she wasn't being judged, just watched, and maybe she was even amusing to the other woman who had caught her in the act. Immediately, January apologized because there was that trickle of guilt that came from doing something she knew to be wrong in the first place, and it was only amplified by the fact that someone had actually seen her doing what was causing the guilt. Even though the woman was incredibly easy-going about it, her words causing January to blink a few times, hazel eyes looking into darker brown ones with a puzzled expression, because that was... that was rather kind, to offer something of that magnitude to a random stranger you caught sneaking into a concert hall. ”Wow, thank you. Um... let's hope it doesn't come to that, because I'd rather not be caught, but that's... that's a really nice thing to offer.” The fact that she'd give January her ticket just so she could stay and listen to the music instead of being kicked out was something that... well, something that January probably would have also done for the right kind of person. For someone who didn't seem like they were there to cause trouble, which she certainly wouldn't do.
”Yeah, I was walking around outside, and I heard the music, but I was kind of... okay, I'm extremely short on cash and couldn't afford the ticket, but I wanted to be closer to it, and here I am.” The angel looked down at the ground for a minute before smiling in a friendly way at the other woman, who introduced herself as Calista. ”Calista, it's nice to meet you. I'm January.” Then, she nodded and accepted the woman's invitation, and January looked out to the crowd of people who were all swaying to the music. ”I'll follow you, then. Maybe somewhere we can get closer?” January hadn't ever been inside this place before, but since Calista had a ticket, she was more than happy to let the other woman lead on, and hoped that she would finally be able to take her mind off all the things that had been troubling her lately.
