With his growing career and all, he just felt like he had so little time to do other stuff. He had jobs constantly, hopped from one to another and while his bank account certainly liked that, as much as he loved his job, he missed the quality time he got to spend with his friends and cousins to just do crazy stuff and live a little. Sure he still had time for that, just not as much as he used to and he figured that was just part of the game, like there was a downfall to any job, even your dream job. He loved the shoots and being able to make money with what he loved the most; photographing. And people seemed to love his work, cause they kept asking for more, which was so flattering that Cam hardly knew what to say about it. In his family he had always been the weaker one, the underdog, without knowing why, and even his strange encounter with this hunter who had tried to kill him did not solve any of the riddles. In fact it only confused him more that he hadn't died when he should have. There was something wrong about this puzzle and he felt like he was missing something, but he just couldn't figure out what it was. And Harper wasn't of much help either so far, while he hoped she had been the one to give him an answer. And until he did that, Cam just tried to spend as much time with Marley as he could, talking to her about all of these things like one should when being in a relationship. When he was with Marley, the hybrid felt complete, as if she was the missing piece to his puzzle, even if things did not go always very smoothly. They had their differences like any couple, especially when dating a feisty girl like Marley Reynolds, but it was what he liked about her. Cam never got bored when he was around her, she kept him alive and alert, and he loved the feelings she gave him. She was often his inspiration for his work, so much that his boss had told him he needed some other series other than his girlfriend too. So instead the boy had started photographing things that reminded him of her, things that would just look like beautiful pictures to other people, but she would get it and hopefully immediately. Stuff like her favorite herbs to make witch potions with, a cauldron, the oceanium where they had met for the first time, all those tiny things that made his mind flood with her presence, much like it always did. But for now Cam was just sitting on a bench in the meadows of Manuka, watching out over the green fields with the flowers that would soon fade away as the snow came. Cam just came back from a job with a couple of skanky models, which had annoyed him a little, since slutty was not his type and girls who kept on flirting with you after you told them you were not available was an even worse turn off. The boy and his high maintenance perfectionism could not stand anything like that. He thought of the poor blokes those girls were dating and was just glad it wasn't him. His camera hung losely around his neck the way it always did, just below his chest, as he gazed around, watching mothers play with their children, fathers play frisbee with their sons, children running with dogs, a couple making goo-goo eyes at each other during what seemed like a romantic picture. This place was always full of life, and soon Cam's camera was clicking around swiftly again, making pictures with so much ease it seemed as if he was a true natural. But then he took a picture of a person, that was one of those super extraordinary pictures, the very few even Cam was genuinely proud of. "Hey you! I stole your soul!" Cameron called after the stranger, though obviously only joking. He did feel that way though, when it came to photographing. It was like stealing a fragment of one's soul and take it with you, outside of their control. But wasn't that the beauty of art? It stretched your boundaries. tag || ANYONE || words || 727 || outfit || click ! notes || damned if i don't |
