seduction is your art
YOU'LL NEVER PLAY MY LOVE YOU'RE JUST MY KING OF HEARTS[/center]
All types of pessimistic thoughts were running through the vampire's troubled mind. As cliche as it sounds, it was no normal day for her. Kale was meeting her parents for the first time and she had no idea how to feel. Talia was laid out on the swing on the porch of her house, staring out at the empty street of her neighborhood. She could smell steak through the open window next to her. Before she changed that smell would have made her mouth water, now it only made her already queasy stomach feel even worse. How would Kale react to them? Talia wasn't worried about the fact that they were a gay couple, but more worried about her boyfriend actually liking them. Kale had too sweet of a vibe to be homophobic, so it barely crossed her mind. Also, there was the worry that her parents wouldn't like him either. Who could dislike him though? He made her happy and that was really all that mattered to her. Talia was shut off from her depression for a bit when she was with him. They could sit and talk about nonsense for hours and she loved that more than anything.[/blockquote]
She never had a relationship like this. Well, one that lasted this long. Talia had bust all the windows out of her ex-boyfriend's car for making out with some bitch. That relationship wasn't serious though. Imagine if things went wrong that night, she'd go ballistic. She wanted to control her temper to make sure everything went smoothly. Talia didn't want Kale to see that side of her. She had made sure to pop a few extra pills that morning to burn the edge off. If it hadn't kicked in smoother she probably would have locked herself in the bathroom and cried her eyes out from how bad her anxiety got. Talia ran her fingers through the hair that was dangling over the edge of the swing to distract herself. She couldn't get her mind to focus on anything else and it was starting to agitate her beyond anything. Talia sighed when she heard her name being called from inside the house. She pushed herself up off of the swing and made her way toward where her name was called. Talia walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter next to her dad, Neil, who was finishing off with the mashed potatoes. She grabbed a spoon that was laying on the counter and twisted it around her fingers.
Talia's other father, Ron, was typing away on his computer. It was killing them that they had called off work for the weekend just because Talia had begged them too. She figured they had tons of money so they could afford one weekend away from work. It was like they worked all the time with no breaks. It was extremely unsettling. Neil pointed to a head of lettuce that needed to be cut up. Talia sighed and walked over to the sink to wash her hands. Minutes later she was off preparing a salad. She hated cooking. Talia was more content with heating things up. She still had a small appetite for human food. There were a lot of things she missed that she couldn't stand now. Talia would just have to put on a poker face at dinner. It had been quite a bit since she had human food. Probably a few days. She finished cutting up the lettuce and ran it under some water afterwards. Kale better appreciate this shit. She'd probably joke with him about how hard it was slaving over the stove for him.
It wasn't long until Kale would show up anyways. She had gone through a million things to say to him when he showed up and how she'd introduce her father. Go the traditional way or do a grand introduction. Talia was unsure. Either way she was sure he'd love her dads. Talia set down the bowl and sighed,"I'm so nervous." She jutted out her bottom lip slightly. Ron looked up from his computer screen and smiled lovingly,"You'll be fine, baby. We promise not to embarrass you. Well I promised." He looked over at his husband with a large smile. Neil put his spoon down and turned to both of them with a returning smile,"Believe me, I will gay it all the way up. Twerk session at the dinner table." Neil laughed and turned back to the pot. Talia giggled and rolled her eyes playfully."I don't know about you sometimes." She responded and hopped off the stool she was sitting on and walked into the dining room to set down the salad. Talia walked back into the kitchen to check the time again. Her heart seemed to fly up to her throat. He'd probably show up any minute.
Talia made her way back to the porch and sat back down in her usual spot. She waited until she saw Evangeline turn around the corner. She walked down onto the walkway that lead until her house as Kale pulled into the curving driveway. Talia sprinted over to the car and greeted him as soon as he climbed out. She pounced on him, wrapping her legs around his torso as she hugged him. Talia moved her arms around his neck and leaned in to give him a welcoming kiss."Sorry. I have not felt your gorgeous body in a few days. I needed a quick fix." She smiled widely."Ready for some meat and taters?" Talia said in her thickest country accent. She jumped off of him, her feet landing gently on the ground. Talia put her hands on his chest and ran it down to his stomach. She could just feel the muscles underneath his shirt. It was a damn shame they weren't alone in that house like they usually were. The things she wanted to do to him.
