The world is shifting ( Alpha/Smashie<3)

Calista would let out a slow breathe as the birds around her chirped a content look was upon her face as she walked though the forest. Mature one of the things she truly felt content with, nature never was cruel or harsh. It just had peace with the world like everyone else wanted too needed to be. Alpha was awake, well she had been for ten years but she was getting and more attuned with what she had missed. Her goddess her deity, Alpha was someone that she deeply respect and worshiped the first vampire well in some texts , others she was just the first being to exist. Her mother and grandmother told her stories of how she came to be and Calista would listen to them with baited breathe, she met first Alpha when she was twenty it was a interesting meeting to say the least, this woman was a goddess to her, but it felt like a connection when they met as well. So she offered her blood and anything else she desired from her, Calista was more then willing to give. Which was why she knew that she would meet with Alpha soon enough, for now though she was going to enjoy the nature that the world provided. Hearing the water she would look around a soft gasp escaping her lips at the true beauty of it.

She had heard the story about the waterfall, but that didn't mean it wasn't any less breathe taking seeing it up close. Her fingers would slowly run across the grass the leaves, all of it. Eyes looking up into the sun for a few moments feeling the gentle rays kiss her skin, a soft laugh would escape her lips as she slowly twirled around the field. No one else was around so she could truly enjoy the nature and all of it's splendors, her mind couldn't help but think of the war that was slowly approaching. Light and dark good and evil, it was funny no matter how much time had progressed, it all came back to the basic things, why people tried to call it anything different Calista would never understand or really question it. Alpha was awake now though, and soon hopefully she could bring back balance to this town that seemed to have lost it. While she wasn't much of a fighter, she knew that sometimes violence needs to happen. Actions that need to be taken, why she would not go looking to attack people, she would defended those who needed it, and fight those who opposed it. That was neither here nor there though, she would need to brush up on her skills to make sure she would be ready in case they were in need.

Walking along the cool sand she would slip off her shoes, and wiggle her feet in them, it was a very refreshing feeling. Her eyes would glance around for a few moments before she would wanted to the water, slowly slipping her feet in the coolness would cause a small shudder to run down her spine. After a few moments of getting her feet wet she would wander back to the sand and sit, just glancing to the water letting her thoughts wander as she looks out into the water. She wasn't sure when Alpha would find her or when they meet again, but she didn't worry she had faith they would meet up again soon.

Alpha could find Calista anywhere. Such was the gift she’d been given. At least, Cali saw it as a gift. All those long years ago when Alpha had first met her ancestor, she’d bestowed a drop of her blood on their lineage, sort of at her request. It had tied them all to Alpha irrevocably, and as yet, none of them minded. They had chosen to worship and adore Alpha ever since then, which the virus didn’t mind in the slightest. Had one of them chosen to leave her, she would’ve let them, of course, but there hadn’t been any cause for that. None of the ladies- and it was always ladies, built into their DNA, again, by request- seemed to think it was a burden, or some unfair right of birth. They accepted and embraced being so devoted to one woman. It was kinda inspiring and really really sweet, when looked at the right way. Alpha, of course, looked at it the right way. She never made demands of them, either. That wasn’t her way. Whatever she took, they freely offered.

Cali was no different. Well, that wasn’t true, she was a bit different. She was part fae. Her mother had decided to branch out- and may have even fallen in love- into the genetic blending pool, picking a faerie for a lover. Perhaps that made Alpha a touch more fond of Cali than some of her predecessors, though she loved them all fairly equally. The vampire quite liked genetic diversity, and so Calista being a little more unique than her mother and grandmothers before her was special. She followed the twinge of her genes pulsing through Cali’s young body, humming softly to herself as she did so, cresting the hill, catching the woman playing in the fountain and twirling around on the grass. Silly, pretty thing. Brought a smile to the woman’s face, content to just watch for a moment. The small acupuncturist was so in tune with things. Perhaps a bit on the blissfully ignorant side, thinking nature was more without ugliness than it was, but Alpha liked that about her, more often than not. Calista understood the need for balance though, for an equality between light and dark, her mindset about how that happened was just a little glamorized. Maybe that was why she was so happy and sweet, content in the grass as she was.

Alpha continued her trek up the hill, finally setting herself down on a small bench by the waterfall, smiling gently. ’Hey there, tiny dancer. How’ve you been?’ Yeah, Alpha could make references. She was a quirky blend of old and new. She adapted and changed, learned and evolved. It was how she survived. So sometimes, when people knew her real age, they were incredibly surprised at how in touch with modern culture she was. Some of that was from having a plethora of people like Calista, and some of it was from experiencing it firsthand, and some was from picking it up out of her progeny’s minds. It had been a while since she’d seen Cali, maybe a week or so, but she never went too long without checking in, in one form or another. She quite liked that the little hybrid was so self-sufficient though. Strong, independent. They were valuable qualities. And nobody weak could handle being around Alpha. She was… something else. She tried her best to avoid being intimidating, but power like that just had a tendency to emit itself. Much as people were drawn to her, there was also some fear to be had, some caution to be observed. Cali took it in her own way, understanding that the virus was stronger, accepting it, and doing her very best to be useful and helpful, which Alpha loved about her.
