Stress was one of those things that Reminy liked to avoid at all costs. The vampire had gotten rather good at it throughout the years, finding ways to manage her time and mix pleasure with business in a way that things tended not to get messy. Moving to Manuka had been just another step in over a century of living where Reminy had decided she needed an adjustment; she had parted ways with her maker and ex-lover, Noelle, was a widow when her human husband had died of old age, and had a thriving publishing company out of New York city that was doing well enough that she didn't need to stick around and baby it as she had done in the beginning. It would seem that her life should have been going swimmingly – she was a strong woman, over a century old and living on her own, independently, and yet... stress was lurking around every corner. As it turned out, she wasn't as alone in Manuka as she would have originally expected. Noelle had decided to make the coastal city a temporary pit stop for her despicable little 'business' that was really a pet project of the deplorable woman who had turned Noelle into a vampire, Katherine. Not only was her ex-lover in town, but a friend of the woman's, Lillith, had decided to temporarily set up shop here as well. Which wouldn't have been an issue – Reminy had always gotten along with Lillith in passing when they met at mutual functions and she was on Noelle's arm – but now that the younger vampire had amorous feelings toward the woman that seemed to be one-sided, she was feeling like something of a petulant child, whining over something she couldn't have.
It wasn't like she was spoiled or anything, but she had a tendency to know what she wanted and had gotten into something of a dangerous pattern where usually, she got what she wanted. And now, all she got was stress. Noelle wanted to get back into a relationship, which really didn't seem like a good idea to Reminy, and Lillith hadn't called on her in weeks. They'd had a fantastic 'date' night, even got a little bit hot and heavy – not as far as to have sex, which was disappointing, but it was still wonderful. Business was another stressful venue, because she had her sights set on refurbishing and putting money into Carrie's Press in the Old Town district. The vampire wanted to restore it to its former glory and put another feather in her cap, but she kept being met with roadblock after roadblock. Sloppy former management and poor bookkeeping made it something of a financial nightmare, and even though she had more than enough funds to put into it, all her advisers kept telling her that it was a waste of her time. But Reminy, with any luck, had nothing but time. So, with all the stress, she decided that she needed a spa day. Just a little treat – a massage and a mani/pedi to lift her spirits, so she was off to the City Centre hoping to find herself in the lap of luxury.
After meeting with the woman at the counter, she waited for a few moments before she was escorted back to a chair, where she was greeted by the woman who would be fixing her up. Reminy responded with a warm smile, and then settled back into the lush chair, feeling herself already starting to relax and hoping to find that she'd achieve mental clarity, one way or the other.

It had been a good day so far the shelter was up and running she had made a good friend in Lea and well of course Scales was always there as well. She felt very blessed in her life at the moment, Even with the war happening she didn't have much to worry about, she would helps those who needed it and shelter people from the on coming storm. So while her life was going well, she didn't have anything to do at the moment. Things were somewhat quite at the shelter, people were relaxing just taking their time. Life was a funny thing like that, it can be a bitch and shoot you in the face, or it can just allow you to ride the waves. Thinking about life though, her thoughts drifted to the past, Marcus a man who saved her life, she couldn't help but wonder where is life had brought him, she was probably off seeing the world. He had a gentle and kind soul which made her always smile. It was nice to know that other people were has kind as she was, Lea was amazing in that and so was Scales. She needed to get in touch with her friends maybe they could all have drinks together.
Things always went better with alcohol. at least in her mind well that and fried chicken. Chuckling softly she made a mental note to herself to see if they had time. Checking the time she had some free time, having not yet fully checked out the town, she grabbed her jacket and headed out the door. The sun was shining the warmth of the sun gentle kissing her skin, a smile gracing her features. She didn't really need a jacket but she always liked one on it was a comfort for her. Slipping into her car she turned on the radio a gentle song humming though the space of the car. Fingers drumming on the steering wheel, head moving to the beat. Eyes flicking around the town trying to see if anything was catching her eye. Then a sign of a spa was in the distance, oh a spa days that always made any woman feel nice. Pulling up the Spa she pulled into the parking spot. Locking the door she headed towards the building. The place looked beautiful and the name was very fitting. Stepping inside the scents and relaxing music was the first thing that greeted her. Slipping off her jacket she folded it and rested her against her form on as she continued walking though the spa.
Heading towards the counter she offered the woman a small smile and asked for the whole treatment. Having her jacket taken she was led back towards the chairs and was offered a seat and someone would be with her shortly, eyes glancing around she saw a woman sitting there as well, seeing that she was sitting right beside her. " Spa days , I don't know what women would do without them." Savannah wasn't sure what was upsetting the woman beside but she could feel something weighing heavily on her mind, so hopefully a friendly conversation would help.

As soon as her treatment started, Reminy could feel her body start to relax. Some people would consider a spa day to be a unnecessary indulgence, but Reminy thought that it was completely necessary, lest she become a very cranked, stressed out girl. And she knew that her typically amiable nature was very different when she had stress in her system, even the smallest of drops could turn her into a raging bitch who snapped at just about everyone, and with little provocation. There were a number of reasons for her to be on edge, and as much as she knew that a little bit of irritation with her current situation was warranted, even though she knew that it wasn't good to allow stress to take over her life. For the most part, Reminy was really good at managing the various dramas in her life. Right now, she had more than she usually had, but that was because for whatever reason, life had decided to put her up to bat with a pitcher who constantly threw curve balls, and she wasn't ever a sports kind of person. Terrible metaphor, but it was the best she could come up with while she was trying to allow the tension to leave her body as one of the attendants put her feet into a massaging basin that was filled with delightful, lavender-scented water.
Even though she was trying not to think about the – she didn't know if she could really call it a 'love triangle,' even if that's sort of what it was – situation, she couldn't help but allow her mind to wander in that direction, because she wanted to know what she would do. Currently, she was leading toward exploring with Lillith, even though she knew that was potentially more dangerous and complicated than jumping back in head-first with Noelle. Lillith was entirely new territory, and it had been a while since she'd engaged in a new relationship. She'd had casual flings, but as far as serious relationships and commitment went, she'd only had two. Noelle and Lowell. Her maker and her husband. The young vampire got the idea that whatever would end up happening between her and Lillith would be serious, and would require a new level of devotion that she'd not yet given a lover, and while it was intimidating, it was also exciting, so that sent her decision leaning in one direction rather than the other. Even though a part of her would always love Noelle, and miss her. Complicated. The whole situation was so complicated.
A woman sat next to her, and even though she was in a relaxed sort of fog, Reminy's ears perked up when the lovely blonde spoke to her in an accent that was slightly familiar, as she was a Southern belle in her own right. Granted, this woman's accent was a little further South, and heavier, but Reminy's Southern roots ran deep. Her family still had plantation homes, and even though she hated the idea of slavery, it was a part of her history, and she loved that old house and all that land in the green fields of Texas. ”Mm, tell me about it. It's good to be able to forget life's worries for a day, isn't it? At least, that's the theory.” She wasn't sure that she could rid herself of all the things that were stressing her out, but this was a good start, and the woman next to her was definitely easy on the eyes, and Reminy was a bit of a sucker for a pretty woman. ”I'm Reminy, it's nice to meet you.”
