theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: HOPE HERE IS OKAY.... :) WORD COUNT: 573
It was getting dark now but Jonathan really didn't seem to care, after all he was suited to the dark, most predators were, but really he wasn't hunting for anything right not but some food. A burger, it sounded heavenly, he hadn't had anything to eat for what seemed like years. It wasn't like was on a diet, no self respecting man would admit to being on a diet and plus his genes were good, you never really see fat werewolves or at least he hadn't seen many, maybe they had a heightened metabolism. He didn't know and did care. Taking step after step he noticed the perfect place, it was full of people and as he edged closer he could already smell the fat and grease filled food. Just what he wanted. It was some of the most unhealthy food he had ever eaten but really how was he supposed to resist it. The world was cruel, making everything that was worth eating and actually tasted good had to be really bad for you. It was when he was within a few steps that he had smelt her, mixed in with all the yummy goodness he could smell the distinct thing that made up a werewolves sent and then the little something that told him it was the women he had seen previously.
He wasn't going to avoid her, now that would just be childish but he certainly wasn't going to go up to her and invite her for just tea and biscuits. This time the atmosphere wasn't as tension filled, maybe it was because he had already seized her up and knew what to expect, knew that she was no threat to him If he had to bet on it he'd thing she was on the light side of war and really those wimpy idiots didn't have the courage to go out and seek what they wanted. That was partly why he had chosen to go dark, he wasn't judged as deeply as he could have been for his point of view and his beliefs. People had a right to believe in God so why couldn't he have his won set of morals? Jonathan had long given up trying to figure everything out, the world was full of hypocrisy and he couldn't really change that, not that he wanted to. He'd leave that to the 'good people' to figure out.
He finally caught site of her, his mind didn't fill with the questions you'd expect, what was she doing here? Who cared. How would she react? The same as anyone faced with a threat. Was he actually a threat? Damn him if he knew, but he really didn't care. It occurred to him then that maybe if he gave her a chance he might actually like the girl. She wasn't so different for him, he'd seen the spark that he seemed to like and really apart from the fact that he was dark and her light maybe they'd have many things in common. He thought about it for a second, maybe he should be the one to approach her, just walk up to her introduce himself and be over with. She'd freak out, he was sure of that, but maybe it would end well. Was it worth it? He still wanted that food but maybe he could wait a minute or two. Mind made up he made his was towards her.

Kat was never one to favor fast food, even when she was a kid, she never cared for it. On the occasional outing with friends yeah she'd eat out and didn't mind, but no that she was on her own, it was rare to catch Kat at a grease filled, unhealthy joint like the one before her. It was taking all of her her strength to resist the urge to bolt in the other direction, but Kat had a weakness for burgers. If you were to catch her eating any kind of fatty fast food, it would be either one of three things. Burgers, tacos, and Chinese. Any of these three could easily make up Kat's entire diet, but she's learned how to keep the eating out to a minimum. Health freak isn't the right word do describe Kat's eating, since the cholesterol filled fast food is kept to a minimum, but she is very conscious of what she puts in her body. If it isn't something that can fuel her body for the day, naturally or healthily, then odds are Kat will stick her nose up to it. But unlike health freaks every now and then Katirena gives in to her desires and eats a burger, but only from the best place in town.
As she stood a in front of the doors to the restaurant, Kat was building up her courage to take the first steps inside. This was usual. It always took Katirena a few minutes to enter into a fast food joint, mainly because her body's so use to avoiding places like this, but also partly because they kind of terrified her. Greasy food, unhealthy substances entering her body and causing possible health risks, and being confined in a small building with a bunch of other unhealthy people who lived for this kind of stuff...it all freaked her the hell out. Okay, come on Kat you can do this. It's just a burger, and you're only going to be insde a few minutes to take you're order. You can do this, be brave. Her mental pep talk was calming her nerves and she was about to open the doors, when she suddenly froze.
The very familiar, and very distinct sent of werewolf was lingering in the air and slowly wafting it's way towards Kat. Moments before, this place had been filled wit strictly humans, Katirena could smell them all, but now this wolfy sent was burning her nose it was so close. Kat furrowed her brows, confused and sniffed at the air for a moment. This particular scent was one she'd smelled before, and very recently. It couldn't have been more than a week or so when she'd last encountered it, which made Kat rattle her brain. When was the last time she'd come across another werewolf? Kat thought a moment, then took a step away from the burger joint, and glanced around. It took her a few moments but she spotted him instantly. Her mouth dropped slightly, in shock.
The devilishly handsome face gazing back at her was that of the wolf she'd had a confrontation with just a week ago. Nothing really went down, but Kat had defiantly sized him up, and she was pretty sure he'd done the same. From meeting him the first time, she knew he was on the dark side, something she could easily look past if the opportunity presented itself. He was also very...bold seems to be the only word. He hadn't backed down when she'd challenged him, and Kat gave him props, and in doing so he'd sparked her interests.Hmm... she thought mentally, as she gave him a soft once over. This time around, Kat was in a better mood, and wasn't looking for trouble, but she'd be lying if saying that watching him slowly approach her didn't make the hairs on her neck stand up. As he casually came closer, Katirena couldn't help but let a slight grin dance at the corners of her mouth. She was just interested in this wolf, and she wanted to know what his game was. She wanted to know him, all differences aside. Who knows, they might have something in common?

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: A LITTLE BIT OF FLIRTING, BUT SHH. ;)
WORD COUNT: 647
It caught him of guard, the little smile she gave him as he was approaching her. The way she looked him up and down giving him a once over, he'd never really thought that women were like men in the sense of that they'd blatantly check someone out, he'd always thought they were much more sly. He wasn't completely ignorant and didn't think that they they didn't 'appreciate' a good looking person when they saw it. Had it really been that obvious to everyone else? Or was it just him catching on the slight movements of her eyes. Damn it, he was spending far to much time staring at her, observing the slight changes. He didn't even really like her. Yet. If he wasn't careful he might actually do something stupid, like befriend her.
He had reached her at that point. Her sent stronger and far more potent then it had been before. He loved the way people smelt, not the perfume crap they put on, that just gave him a headache. Too many smells and all very striking sent him on a rampage but really the smell of a clean person was so appealing to him, especially another female werewolf. ''Hey, you're the one from the pub. Almost didn't recognise you, you know without all the growlin'.'' His lips tilted upwards, send her a knowing look, teasing her almost. What he said was far from the truth, he could have picked her out of a room of a thousand people, he rarely forgot anyone really, if it wasn't by their appearance then by their sent. Especially the ones that had made an impact on him, and she was way inside that box. He looked straight into her eyes his grin widening to show off his teeth, she had met him step for step in the pub and this made him wonder whether or not it was a one off, this was Jon's way of testing it.
He was standing unnecessarily close to her, hell he didn't know she was going to react but really who did, he would have put money on not even her knowing half the things she was capable of, the light side rarely knew. He wouldn't have been afraid to show her really, but that was only if she turned out to be the person he thought she was. ''Who knew the world was so small, meeting you twice in one week, God must really like me.'' He hadn't meant to sounds sarcastic when saying it, but it ended up that way. But really when he talked about God and religion it was always with irony, religion hadn't done much to help him and he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that he didn't believe in all that crap. He shook his head slightly, hoping that she didn't notice it. It helped clear his head a little and get rid of the thoughts he was having, they were far to deep for him, he liked to think he was simple and would never admit to even thinking for a second about faith and religion, he was the big, bad wolf after all.
''Or maybe you felt compelled to seek me out... I wouldn't blame you.'' He winked at her, almost in a mocking fashion. Some people would call it flirting, he would have too if anyone else had done it. If anyone else had done it he would have laughed, it only happened in movies and if it was not on the big screen then it rarely looked good, most of the time it was a laughable attempt at getting a girls attention most frequently used by perverts. But Jonathan was none of that, well at least he hoped people had more respect for him then thinking he was just a regular pervert.''The second options seems a lot more likely, doesn't it?''

TAGS: JONATHAN WORDS: 662 NOTES: OOPS... FLIRTING BACK...DONT TELL O.O At first, Kat though he was being sarcastic, but when he spoke with complete seriousness, she couldn't help but let her smile widen as a soft chuckle escaped her mouth. Whether he was trying to be funny on purpose with is very obvious question, it amused her. Katirena could have easily pointed hi out in a room full of thousands. Whether it was his stunning features, his distinctive scar beneath one eye, his intoxicating smell, or just his personality. I mean she didn't know him by any means, but the way he carried himself, and the way he chose his words got under her skin. It took quite a deep impression for anyone to get under Kat's thick skin, so she couldn't help but feel this attraction to him. She went with it thought. "Well that's a first," she said, raising a brow as she spoke, "I've been told my growling is hard to forget."] Kat was curious to see how he'd respond to her blunt reference to her sexual life. Most people either found it offensive, or took it too far, either way she knew how to handle both. Something told her he'd have something witty to so however.
It took just seconds, after he spoke, for Kat to notice how close he was standing to her. Normally, people avoiding being anywhere near her, something about her attitude shooed them away, but this one...boy was he exceeding her expectations. Since he was so close, this gave Katirena the chance to examine him up close, so she took the it with no hesitation, tilting her head slightly out of habit. Her eyes traveled from the sharp features of his face, down the length of his torso, very pleased with what she was seeing so far, and moved down south. When she reached his feet, her baby browns quickly zoomed back up to his, and she gave a smirk, pursing her lips in private thought.
When he referenced God, she was brought back to present day, and she wrinkled her nose slightly. Kat has never believed in God, ever. She was never raised in a religious household and she never seeked the Almighty Him out when she was in trouble. To her, there was no point in prayer and complaining about your problems when you can go out there and fix them yourself. That whole idea made her feel helpless and she was far from it, and she didn't fear making her opinions known either. "In my experience, God doesn't like any of us. If he did I'd be rich and you'd have better at pick up lines. Since neither is true, I guess we're both out of luck." and she raised a brow at him again, as if emphasizing her statement. But as if on cue however, her new fascination said something rather flirtatious.
Surprise slipped across her face when he winked, and her jaw dropped slightly, unsure how to respond for a moment. Katirena had been winked at before, but back then she'd always dismissed it as a desperate attempt to flirt. But when it was partnered with this new face, it actually had an effect on Kat, one she hadn't felt in some time. Quickly closing her mouth, and staring at him inquisitively, she found something very Kat-like to say. "If I were seeking you out, you would know." she muttered quietly, leaning on her toes so she was closer to him, just a few inches away from his ear. Kat fell back on her heels when she was done putting on a show, and gave him a hard look, but still sporting a playful grin. Normally she wasn't one to invade someone's personal space or engage in a flirty conversation, but her interest was sparked by tis guy and she wanted to know why. "But, to answer your question, I wouldn't blame myself either. and she gave him a subtle wink, yet another thing she normally didn't do.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: HAHA HE'S ENJOYING THIS. WORD COUNT: 664
When he'd thought that she was a match for him he really couldn't have been more right, she'd been able to reboot his snark with only a slight effort, and at the same time throw a blatant innuendo in the mix too, if he hadn't been in a sort of face of with her, Jon would have felt slightly impressed by this girl. She made his skin crawl but in a good way, some would say the best of ways. He didn't really know how to respond to that, let alone get the upper hand back. The balance between flirting and being a pervert was a very slippery one indeed and really how was he to know what her limits were, if he were going by previous experience he thought that being adventurous wouldn't be a problem. But what if he was wrong? Damn. ''Hard to forget? What you mean it's unforgettable? I'd have to see that before I believe it.'' The surprise he felt at her previous reaction had thrown him of and had almost made him forget how close to her he was standing, almost. Had he forgotten he certainly would have remembered when she made it a point of giving him a once over again. His ego inflated just a little, it was healthy after all.
The thought of God and talking about him had certainly bought Jon down from the previous mood of the conversation but that didn't last long. Katirena certainly knew how to pick up the mood and it certainly came from nowhere, once again leading Jonathan to be caught off guard when she eventual came back with her quip. Giving way for a sudden gust of laughter from Jonathan. He hadn't been this amused since forever, and all this coming from the werewolf with whom he had almost gotten into the brawl with. If this didn't feel so natural it would surely have felt weird to him, but that wasn't a problem right now. ''Oh my pick up lines are just fine, you haven't seen the best of them yet.'' He really wasn't into the whole pick up line thing but hell he's give anything a try once. And really going with the flow seemed like the right thing for him to do.
Her reaction to his wink brought back the sense of anything being possible with this girl, maybe some things could actually catch her of guard, Jon mused to himself. The element of surprise was something he doubted he'd get often with Kat. It didn't have a hold of her for long and when she had gotten out of it she once again came out with her snark, as she neared him standing on her tip toes Jon didn't know how to react but when had that stopped him? He didn't move an inch allowing her to go as far she wanted before slowly saying in a hushed voice. ''I hope your bite is as good as your bark.'' It wasn't loud by any means that sentence but the irony behind it made Jonathan's expression change from the goofy grin he had previously worn to a more subtle curve of his lips upward. ''Oh I'm sure you wouldn't, not many would.''
''So what did you come here to do then? If not to seek me out because really you haven't done much since we'd accidentally bumped into each other.'' He stressed the word accidentally trying to rile her up some more. He took a step back at that moment and stuck his hands into his pockets, trying to come across calm and collected and that really he didn't care what she said. The reality was far from it, but really she didn't know that and she didn't need to. He had to keep some secrets. ''I'm not keeping you from some chick flick am I?'' he trailed of with mock concern, ''Actually I'm glad if I am, one less brain to be desecrated by that filth.''

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Kat had many pet peeves, but grammar Nazi's were at the top of the list. Normally, she would have something pissy and ignorant to say, but not this time. A muffled laugh escaped, and she couldn't help but chuckled. Half of the reason was out of irony since she hated being corrected on her grammar, the other because Katirena was happy Jonathan was the one to correct her. At this rate, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kat ruin her grammar on purpose just to force Jonathan to correct her some more. Kat also noticed how he was able to dance on the very unstable balance between flirting and being a pervert with ease. She made a note to herself to try and push his buttons a little and see how long he could keep up the balancing act. "You might one day get the chance, but that's not to say that your chances are any good... yet." She wanted to keep him on his toes; she wanted him to know she was interested, but not enough to make his ego blow up like a hot air balloon. When Jonathan complimented himself and his pick up lines, Kat gave another soft giggle, just completely taken by him. His ability to hold a flirtatious conversation, but still come off as the bold werewolf she'd met the night before, had her hooked. They way he spoke held such ease and finesse, it kept her interested and wanting to know what was next, and Kat very much appreciated that. "Your pick up lines cold learn a few things from my pick up lines. I'm just wondering if you'll be able to keep up with them?" and she let her sentence hang as a question, but one that could be answered either aloud or silently to himself. If he took the bait, Kat had a captivating plan that she'd love to see unfold. If not, she wouldn't mind talking to Jonathan longer; she wouldn't mind at all. Though Kat had conflicting thoughts on her other, animalistic side, she still enjoyed parts of it. Particularly, the wolf or dog jokes. Something about them just always amused Katirena, and if they were said at the right moment, like now, it made the hair on the back of her neck stand up, in a good way. Caught off guard yet again, it took all of Kat's being to hold back a smile, and in doing so, she was forced to bite her bottom lip and muffle back a gasp of total awe. The wolfess within her was howling to get out and it was causing Kat to hold back. Instead of responding though, she just gave Jonathan a dirty look as if to say, "Good one, baby." But, she did have enough control to comment on the words that came soon after. "Sounds like we both agree then. I didn't seek you out, but I might as well have...considering all the chemistry we have." and she gave another slight raise of her eyebrow, and let her lips part into an enticing grin. When the conversation took a sudden change in direction, Kat should have been more prepared. She was once again she was unprepared for the impromptu shift in direction from Jonathan. For a few seconds she just starred at him, unsure how someone could so smoothly guide a conversation onto another topic. He was something else, Kat told herself, something she needed to figure out. "Yes, you are actually. The only reason I haven't done much since we've accidently bumped into each other, is because I've been trying to figure you out.....Mr.?" She let the question hang, but in doing so Kat was up for a change in scenery. Before Jonathan could give his name, Kat turned on her heel, and was by the door of the restaurant. "Chick flicks aren't really my thing, love like that doesn't exist in my opinion. I'm actually more of a Magic Mike kind of girl." Katirena gave him a toothy grin, and her eyes flashed a very familiar, rich red color for a few seconds, as she opened the door, and slipped into the burger joint. theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: THIS IS PERFECT. :) WORD COUNT: 661
The atmosphere was practically burning with the intensity of this conversation and the verbal sparring that was keeping him on his toes. The way it flowed so naturally and really took no effort on his part to keep going, not having stalled at any part, just like a well oiled machine doing it's job. He was tempted just to go in for it, maybe ask her out but that sounded far too high school for him. Maybe he'd move on next to asking her to be his girlfriend before handing her his letterman's jacket to wear just like in the movies. This thought almost made him grimace but he was in to good a mood to go through with that, The innuendo behind her words almost made him blush, damn it guys didn't blush and he was glad it was an almost. He wasn't even sure it was something his body was capable of doing but he was sure that with this girl here anything was possible. He only smiled to that and nodded, feeling his echo inflate a little more, it didn't need it but he would accept what was dished out to him.
He'd stopped asking himself now why he was acting so out of character with a girl he had only seen for a second time, it worked for him, why should he question that? He smirked at her some more, before placing his hadn't gently onto her arm and leaning in whispering to her, ''We should get together some time and practice our lines on each other, yours could learn something from mine I'm sure and I'd be more then glad to lend some of my time for a good cause.'' He didn't even doubt she was going to just come back at this like everything else any more, he wanted her to. Her reaction to his mention to both of their animalistic side make him only do a happy dance inside, she was on the same page as he was and he was sure that she knew that she really had quite a startling effect on him too. It was more then obvious without all the wolf sense that they could turn too if they needed. ''You like that don't you, the thought of the animal side of us.'' It was more of a realisation then anything else, it didn't require an answer, her body language enough for that.
The chemistry they had, it was what struck him the most, he'd never really gelled with anyone as much as he had with her and he was sure it wasn't all just sexual. He was sure that it went deeper. How deep? He didn't know but he'd have fun finding out, it definitely wasn't going to be ending here. ''Figure me out? I'm not much of a puzzle I'm afraid, just another werewolf blessed with good looks and charm.'' This was a little cheeky of him but really what was the point of holding anything back now, it wasn't going to change anything or get him anything. ''You on the other hand warrant a closer inspection.'' There flew the phrases with more then more meaning behind them again. ''Jonathan Reeves no Mr needed, I'm sure were past the formalities, unless of course you're into that sort of thing'' He had gone in all guns blazing, there would be no doubting now of what his intentions were, had there even been any from the start which he doubted.
''Magic Mike? So should I be investing in some new clothes then?'' Jonathan was glad that they were moving this inside the burger joint, this conversation may have been providing him with enough distraction to the hunger that he was feel but if both were possible at the same time then who was he to complain. ''You realise that they don't sell lobster here right?'' He said before walking up and ordering his food hoping that she would follow his lead.

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Subconsciously Kat wanted to just through herself at him...actually more than that but we won't go down that road. As much as she was attracted to him though, something told her to let things just flow. Part of her fondness for him was the way their conversation just played off of one another, and the way everything came naturally. It might have something to do with the fact that their both werewolves, because normally supernatural species got along with others of their own kind. In this case, Katirena was getting along perfectly with this wolf. The other part of her fondness for him was the challenge he gave her. Every word he said, there was always a linger of some sort of taunt or dare and it made the wolf within Katirena howl. When he suggested that the two of them get together some time, all Kat could do was sport a smirk of excitement. Trying to keep her cool though, she only let him see her grin, and contained the rest of her feelings at the though of seeing him again. "My lines would dance in circles around yours, just to give you a fair warning, and you'll be pleased to know that your time is going to a wonderful cause. Me." and as she spoke, she let her mouth move closer and closer to his ear, before leaning away. For a moment, Kat wasn't sure how to respond to his wolfy statement, because it brought up a mix of emotions. Since being turned Kat has always been on the fence with either accepting or rejection her animal side. In moments like this, intense moments like this, she wanted to just give into it. Because he was a werewolf like her, Katirena was having even more of an internal battle with herself about which way she should lean towards. But never the less, her eyes betrayed her like they always did.If Kat was an excellent liar, but when it came to touchy subjects and personal topics, Kat gave it away wit a single look. When she looked him in the eye to answer, her gaze was hard and wild, the gaze of a wolf on the chase. "I-Th-The animal side of us, of me, isn't something I have a choice in liking" Though her words had taken on a dreary tone, her expression was the opposite. This was one of the moments where it was painfully obvious that Kat was on the light side, or at least she convinced herself she was on the light side. Chemistry wasn't something Kat had every believed in, but that was the only word she could use for this..this... whatever they had going on here. "You defiantly have the looks and the charm, she muttered with a smile, "but I know there's more to you, and I intend to find out more about you." When he redirected the conversation on her however, Kat was in wonderment yet again. No one had ever told her she [warranted inspection and in other cases Kat would have been offended, but not now. Now Katirena was flattered with the compliment and it only made the wolfess side of her stir. "I hope you're a detective Mr. Reeves, she said, throwing in a little wink for more emphasis and gazing at him sternly, "because you're inspection might just turn into an all night stack out, that is of course, if you're up to a long drawn out investigation." Katirena had outdone herself with her word choice this time and she beamed inside cheekily. As the conversation drifted inside, Kat gave an amused giggle, unable to hold it in at Jonathan's suggestion to a new. ..outfit. "As amazing as you might look in nothing but a too-tight speedo, she raised a brow at this, giving him a solid once over, "something tells me you wouldn't be caught dead in one...which is a real disappointment. Without realizing it, Katirena's stomach was in a fist fight with itself because of her hunger, and she was more than happy the conversation had changed venues. Kat was never one to take much offense to anything, but Jonathan's snood remark made her mouth drop for a split second before she quickly closed it. A small growl could be heard coming from Katirena, but only by supernatural ears. She accepted his silent challenge, and as soon as he was done ordering his food, she stepped up next to him making sure her arm brushed against his and ordered a double bacon burger with fries and a milkshake for herself. The teenage boy behind the cash register gave her an odd look, questioning whether or not she was serious, and Kat simply nodded her head. As her order was being placed, she looked up and gave her lunch date a cocky grin. "I'm Katirena by the way, Katirena Del Mar, pleasure to meet you Jonathan.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: GETTING SOMEWHERE, WE ARE. SUCH FUN. :) WORD COUNT: 786
Had Jonathan stopped to think about what was going on he would have realised that he was getting into this far too deep. He knew that this would turn out to be more, more what he didn't know but this one encounter was already exceeding all of the others in the sense of their intensity. It made him a little nervous really, he wasn't the type to get too serious and liked to flirt around but this just didn't seem to be like mindless flirting any more. It seemed to be something natural and not really something he could have explained without sounding like a sappy git. He smiled along, as she neared him, this time she was taking the initiative and prerogative. She was the one approaching him, maybe he'd taunted her into it but really there had to be more from her side of things too. He hoped, otherwise he would be making a fool of himself, keeping the conversation where it was may have been fun but really it didn't put a lot him across, it barely grazed the surface really.
As she moved back Jonathan felt her reluctance and could only feel a little relieved that he wasn't the only one who was in this. He wasn't the only who may be in too deep. He smiled at her, but this time more serious then before, it was time to turn this into a real conversation, he thought to himself. It was al well and good having fun but it was getting him nowhere, just maybe making him lose his mind a little more. He tried not to act any differently to before and really he would too, but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to try and get more out of her. It wasn't like him to prod people for information but in this case he really didn't care about that. Just as he thought that he saw a change in Kat as well, she stiffened at the mention of the animal side and Jon could read her well, getting that she didn't want to discuss this in much detail. He grinned to himself, he wasn't going to let his go uncovered, he was going to find out why she didn't like where this conversation was heading. It wasn't because he enjoyed her discomfort but it was the fact that he was going under her layers of protection and getting somewhere more then the façade people put up. ''Oh come on, I bet I can get you to like your werewolf side, everything's better with me, after all it's freedom.'' Jon knew that to some being a werewolf felt like being tied up in chains and not being able to get out of it, but for him the strength that it gave him was certainly worth the price he paid for it.
He slowly backed away from the way this was heading, at least in his thoughts, he was over thinking things and that never really worked for anyone. ''Yes, this certainly does need further investigating, but first I need to find out what the crime has been...in detail, care to share?'' this was more like it, fun and though the words said a lot they didn't really say too much, they said more about his character then him really. ''I'm sure I could make an exception to not wearing too-tight speedo's for you, that is if you're willing to do the same, not a speedo but something just as revealing may do.'' He needed to stop doing this before he turned into a real pervert, Jon thought to himself. Or maybe he was just being a regular horny male, no one could blame him for that could they?
Jonathan got his food and stood there lounging back against the counter waiting for her, his eyes widened when he saw he order but he didn't say anything about it, having to bite his cheek in order to keep his tongue at bay. He knew that she was doing this because he'd challenged her and he couldn't wait to see her consume all of that food. He could barely eat it all in one sitting without feeling far to full and she would fair no better he thought. He made it a point of looking at her food and then back up to her with a questioning look, before shrugging and moving to take one of the few tables in this place. ''So Katirena Del Mar, what's keeping you here? It can't be me because we've just met but there must be something just as important that here has to offer for you...'' There that was seemed to actually be getting him somewhere.

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Unfortunately Katirena's discomfort about the topic of being a werewolf hadn't succeeded in going unnoticed. Initially she was angered by that fact that Jon had noticed because she didn't like people examining her that closely, ironically. Kat could spend hours watching someone and noticing every little detail, but the second someone did it to her, she despised it. Stubborn was an understatement when it came to Kat, so when she decided that Jonathan wasn't going to find anything out about her feelings towards her werewolf side, she meant it. He'd have to find some creative and witty way to pry it out of her because it wasn't going to be easy. "As handsome and charming as you are, I doubt that." and she left it at that. Hopefully with the compliments she gave him he'd overlook that she was avoiding the topic. Katirena also was hoping that this conversation wasn't going to carry itself into the restaurant while they ate.
Katirena was never one to live in the past, or dwell on the negative, but her mood had kind of been tarnished by the mention of her animalistic side. Now that's not to say she wasn't still enjoying her time with Jonathan, she was just putting walls up as they spoke. Her guard was slowly rising and Kat couldn't help it. "I have a criminal record for disturbing the peace. I'm sure you can put two and two together" she said with a smirk pulling at the corners of her mouth. To make up for her short response, Kat gave him a pat on the chest as if encouraging him t take a guess. "And as far as the revealing clothing goes, I think I might have something in mind." and she left the conversation hanging, curious to see if it would continue once they got their food. To say Kat wanted to end would be a lie.
When Kat's food arrived on a tray before her, her stomach lurched. Without even realizing what she was doing, her nose crinkled up, and she wore an expression of disgust. Oh god, she thought wondering what she'd just gotten herself into. When Katirena glanced back at Jonathan and saw the amused and questioning look on his face, she tried to give him a cocky smile back. In reality it turned out to be more of a weak, half smile. As he picked up her tray, taking a huge breath, she followed him, and sat in the seat across from Jonathan. She was grateful when he brought up a new topic, so it gave her the chance to figure out how she'd consume even half of her food.
For a moment she debated whether or not to be completely honest with him, her trust issues sporting their talents. She came to the conclusion that it couldn't hurt to tell him why she was here, in fact he might be able to help her. "Well to put a long story short, I'm here looking for my brother, Titan. When he was eighteen, he was turned and left home, never coming back. So, after I was turned and had the strength I needed, I went looking for him. It's been three years, and I've gotten close, but never close enough." Katirena kept it short and sweet, pretty sure that a complete stranger didn't want to know her life story. Katirena also didn't want to relive any of it either. As much as Kat loved Titan, it still stung a little to say his name, and it brought back buried emotions. She was able to keep her cool, but inside she was feeling a mix of emotions. Whenever she spoke of her brother, her mood had a tendency to grow cold and distance, just out of habit.
"What about you? A dashing young man like yourself doesn't seem like the type to stay grounded in a place like this." and she gave him an inquisitive look, honestly curious. Even though Katirena hadn't said much about herself, it was more than she's told anyone in months. She was interested to see how far Jonathan would open up to a stranger, and based on that, she could try and figure him out a little better. As she questioned him, Kat caught herself gazing at him again, captivated by his presence. She let her eyes linger a moment though, wondering how he'd gotten his scars. As her eyes traced over his face, she wasn't judging, and she wasn't uncomfortable with looking at him.... she was just examining. So in an attempt to stop looking like a star struck school girl, she began looking over her burger, and tried to figure out what approach she should use to eat the enormous beast.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: THIS SEEMS TO BE GETTING EASIER AND EASIER. WORD COUNT: 885
"You doubt me?" He faked a look of hurt, really had she not tried to play it of as something that didn't matter maybe Jon wouldn't have felt the need to investigate any further. Maybe then he wouldn't really have the urge to dig further but the fact that it was something that she didn't want to disclose or maybe even attempt to like maybe him curious. And really curiosity may have killed the cat, but Jonathan was very much more of a dog person and anyway, didn't the saying go that satisfaction had brought it back? "Sure you're not willing it a try, liking your werewolf side I mean, because it would certainly be your pleasure, not just mine." He gave her a look, trying to harass the information out of her wasn't going to get him anywhere and he knew that, he'd tried that way before and approaching it in very much a more stealthy way was far easier.
He couldn't keep himself from laughing when she went on to describe her 'conviction', it sounded so much like something he would say it was almost scary. It made him think that maybe he'd just met the female version of himself, just with higher moral standards. The light version of himself. "Please tell more... I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about." He looked at her with innocent eyes, trying to come across as really clueless but it wasn't going to work and really he wasn't trying that hard. But even with all this being said he could observe her getting more tense and more guarded, that wouldn't do, he thought to himself. "You're not the only one that has something in mind, but I'm sure my vision includes a lot less clothing then yours." Being flirty wasn't a bad way to go, maybe then she wouldn't seem as guarded, had he not seen her relaxed he wouldn't have thought anything of the change but having only known her for this short moment in time he could see the changes. He'd become attuned to her somehow and he couldn't figure out how it had happened.
He could see her glancing at her food with a wrinkled nose. He didn't laugh but he might have had because the amusement was written all over his face. "Something wrong?" He taunted his eyes directed at her food, "Smells great doesn't it? Think of all the grease and fat in that." He gave her a wink to show he was playing around. He almost offered to go and get her something else but decided against it, she wouldn't eat all of it if it really did make her stomach retch, or at least he hoped she'd have the common sense. Everything he'd experience led him to believe that she would.
Something changed and it all grew serious, he didn't know what had brought it on, maybe it was all the question. Had they finally gotten to her? Jon was put of kilter, he hadn't thought that she would disclose anything to him so soon, he'd though that he'd see her walls go up, but maybe he'd been wrong. He almost felt a little disappointed at the fact that he hadn't managed to read her fully, only because he knew that he didn't actually know that much about her. As she talked about her brother he tried to sympathise, but really he didn't know how to, it wasn't something familiar to him and nothing like that happened to him. He wasn't that close to anyone. He decided that telling her false words of reassurance wouldn't help and so only, "Was the last time you saw him here? I'll make sure to keep an eye out for him." He didn't know what more to say and thought that saying nothing more on the subject may have been the best way to go. He meant it he'd say he'd look out for him, life for a lone werewolf was never easy, but he'd had time to settle Jon was sure that her brother was just fine. Or he told himself that in reality it was like war out there, every man for himself.
She soon brought things back to him and he wasn't really that mad she'd deflected, at least with this he knew what he was talking about. He had some footing to stand on and could just as easily spout some line if he felt like it. "Dashing? Really wasn't the look I was going for, I thought I looked roguishly handsome... damn it, there go my hopes." He gave himself a look over, before smiling, "Wasn't really planning on stayin' here for long, just seemed to stumble along and find this place and it seems to be nice, especially the people." He gave her a pointed look, he could see that she was look at his scars and he had no problem with that, he wore them like a badge, why should he have been ashamed. It showed others that he had come out the victor and really he thought it gave him character. "You can ask if you want to, I really don't mind." Jonathan knew she'd know what he was talking about, it was obvious, he just hoped she didn't react negatively to being caught out.

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Normally Kat despised fake gestures of emotion, something bout them just unsettled her, but in the light-hearted way Jon pretended to have hurt feelings, Katirena merely rolled her eyes. His inquisitive nature was irritating and it bothered Kat how interested he was in the topic a the loupe garou. Kat wasn't even going to entertain the subject anymore with him, and was very blunt about it this time. Obviously, casually trying to change the subject wasn't something Jonathan understood. "There is no pleasure in being a monster. None, period, dot, no if's and's or but's about it." Her aura had gone from casual and slightly agitated, to harsh and angry rather quickly. This topic always brought out the worst in Katirena, and the irony is that what was fueling this fire inside her was her werewolf side. The very thing she hated most, gave her the power to hate. "We aren't going to talk about it any further."Kat was able to pick back up on the flirty discussion they were having, though animosity still lingered in her voice. She was kind of in a funk now however, unable to really focus on trying to tease and seduce Jon. As much fun as she was having with this part of their talk, she just couldn't get back into it after bringing up the "being a werewolf," topic. "That's a story for another time I'm afraid. I can't go about telling strangers all my dirty secrets now can I?" Though her mood was tarnished, she was still charmed by him. "If you truly want to find out who's vision has less clothing, you'll just have to come over some time." Hopefully her direct offer would distract him from the less, delightful, conversation earlier and he'd just go with it. Some how though, Kat knew that wasn't going to happen. In the short time she'd know Jonathan, Katirena could tell he didn't give up very easily. As if Kat didn't already know the amount of fat and grease she was about to consume, Jon pointed it out for her. I hate you, she thought in a playful manor. "Haha, you're such a comedian aren't you?" Whenever Kat was in a situation where she was being teased or challenged to do something she knew she couldn't, she had a habit of resorting to childish remarks. She wasn't sure why, but the inner twelve year old filled with snood comments just came alive inside her. "I'll have you know this isn't my first marry go round. I've eaten a burger just like this before." Kat's head was now slowly inflating. She thought that talking about her burger instead of eating it was the cleverest thing, because it would defiantly draw attention away from her having to actually eat her food. Or so she thought. Katirena could tell Jon had no type of personal connection with what she'd told him. In a way she was grateful he hadn't feed her some bullshit lie about how he understood or how he got what she was talking about. But in another sense, she was also curious as to why he hadn't made some connection. I mean as far as she could tell, he gave off no signs of understanding what she meant. Has he ever lose someone close to him? Does he know what lose feels like? Dose he have anyone close to him at all? Questions like these danced in her mind, and she was tempted to ask them, but it her tongue. If Kat was uncomfortable talking about her brother, who knows what Jonathan was uncomfortable with. She still had no idea who he was. "Thank you." was all she could say, but it was a sincere thank you. Her brother meant the world to her and she appreciated Jon even taking the time to say what he said. As serious as their conversations had gotten in the past few moments, Kat still found herself frazzled by his animated personality. She tried not to laugh, but couldn't help but chuckle. "I simply meant that you have a boldness about you, a flamboyancy. You pull off the roguishly handsome look very nicely though. I'm sure all the ladies love it." and she gave him a subtle once over again, confirming her words. When he gave her a very direct look, Kat meet his stony gaze, not afraid of being caught. She got the sense that he wasn't subconscious or embarrassed by his scars at all, in fact he was the complete opposite. He wore them proudly, and that made Kat want to know the story behind them. So when he told her it was okay to ask, she asked. "How did you get them?" Kat was hoping he'd let her in, but that was very hypocritical of her, considering she was closing herself off from him when it came to her werewolfism. theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: IT MAY TAKE A LITTLE LONGER FOR ME TO REPLY, SORRY I HAVE EXAMS. :) WORD COUNT: 877
"You doubt me?" The shift in Kat was so apparent and he immediately knew he’d stepped past the teasing and to the downright irritating. He was almost tempted to go and confront her about it all, and be just as blunt as she was being at that moment in time, he knew that it was a sensitive issue for her but he was just not able to understand the other point of view. Being a werewolf may not have been his first choice in lifestyle but he wouldn’t have shunned it like that. It wasn’t in his nature even before he had become what he was to regret being himself, it just didn’t work with all his other beliefs, and so when someone came along that was hesitant to accept the truth, or what was in his eyes the truth, part of him scream to show them what it could really be like and make them accept it. ‘’A monster, really? Even though we look human for more time than not, even though we act human, and feel human feelings? I wouldn’t say we are monsters more than the average human being, damn most of the time they seem to be the blood thirsty ones.’’ His voice wasn’t raised and that almost made it all sound worse, the sort of calm that it contained made it all sound off, not threatening but also almost like it was final. ‘’We don’t have to talk more about it but really you should be so quick to jump to conclusions.’’ He didn’t like this part of the conversation, it felt to him like he was putting far more across of the person who he really was then he would have liked.
When she resumed the conversation that they were having he could tell there was false sentiment behind her words, he almost felt like he wanted to shake her and make her see his way but there was still time, even if it wasn’t this conversation it was possible to be the next or maybe if he were lucky enough to have one, the conversation after. She was playing coy now and refusing to give him anymore information and he almost felt a little proud of her in a strange way, she didn’t seem to be like one to be bullied into anything, though that was something that was annoying him at that moment in time. ‘’Is that an invitation? Because if it is, give me a time and place and I’ll be there.’’ His words might have sounded playful again but he meant them, even if it didn’t involve what he would have wished and the little clothing that they were skirting around he would have been glad for more time to solve this mystery. ‘’Really though, time, place? And I’m there.’’ His voice was flat now, not wanting to be misunderstood.
Jonathan took a hold of his food and slowly chewed it, his mind not really on it right now he looked at the still untouched burger, the conversation seemed to be heading in the right direction at least, the happy direction that was. ‘’Thanks, I try.’’ He winked at her, and then went on to take a bigger bite and to make a teasing sort of noise, as if the food was heavenly. ‘’I can feel the fat I’m growing, simply divine it is.’’ He closed his eyes for a short period of time to make it seem like he was savoring it, all of this adding to the image further. ‘’I’m sure you’ve eaten burgers before, but I’d be willin’ to be that there was more lettuce and a little less meat in it.’’ He set his hands on the table, it was covered with remnants of food and he didn’t want to get it all over his clothes. ‘’You sure you don’t give up? I wouldn’t blame you if you did.’’
He was giving her a way out and knew that her pride wouldn’t be the most receptive to it but really he would have taken it, sometimes making the best of things was better than conserving your pride. He simply nodded when she brought up her thanks, feeling that nothing more needed to be said, everything had already been said and stretching it out more would have had no use at all. ‘’Well thanks for the compliments, you see my ego loves times like these, and the ladies don’t seem to mind the good looks, don’t know what it is with them liking good looking men but I wouldn’t would I.’’ He hoped the seemingly light atmosphere would continue to exist even later on, it seemed to suit them far more thought Jon didn’t know why, with most other people he was just another moody asshole. ‘’The scar is nothing, there’s no tragic story, it’s just that other werewolf’s seem to be a little volatile when adjusting to their new changes and they don’t really know how to handle themselves, so when I step in they don’t seem to like it, this one actually managed to get a hit on me. It’s a travesty I know.’’ He batted his eye lashes at her. ‘’So do you have any tragic stories? If not funny ones will have to do.’’ [/div] tell me that we both matter dont we

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Katirena was no stranger to a challenge, in fact, she appreciated a good conflict, but she wasn't comfortable with this particular challenge. She was not okay with arguing why she disliked being a werewolf, and she was not okay with Jonathan pursuing the matter. "Whether we appear human, or feel human things, or act human, the truth is, we aren't. We aren't human, and we don't feel or act like humans. Our emotions are heightened, we have senses we shouldn't have, and that automatically makes us anything but human." Kat could appreciate the fact that Jon hadn't raised his voice, or reacted in an outraged manor, but his calm, cool, and collected behavior was more unsettling. He was so nonchalant about the subject, whereas Katirena would defend her reasons to the death. Kat naturally felt an anterior motive or some kind of reversed psychology going on, which was something she'd never done until she'd been turned, and everything about herself was altered. Her basic instinct was to survive, the wolf inside told her to, so that meant judging every situation and constantly being two steps ahead of everyone else. And I wasn't jumping to conclusions, its the truth. Our basic nature now is to survive, and because we're wolves, everything about us has been altered into the perfect predator. Predators are dangerous, therefore we are dangerous to everyone around us, and even ourselves." As much as this subject unsettled Katirena, she was curious as to why it bothered Jonathan. Even though he said they could end the conversation, she wanted to know his motives for even continuing the conversation in the first place.
Though parts of their talk weren't the lightest, it was easy to fall back into the coy flirting. When Jon boldly demanded for a time and a place, Kat was in a confused shock. Jonathan was honest, and very good with words, but she hadn't pegged him for the type to be that direct. This entire time they'd been slow dancing around the subject, both waiting for the other to lead the dance. And honestly, she hadn't expected him to take charge. Her head tilted to the side slightly, in fascination, and she couldn't help but give him an amused grin. "Alright," she said smoothly, holding his gaze firmly, accepting his quiet dare, "we can go back to my place after we're done eating." She spoke direct and heavy, her message very straight forward. Katirena was wondering just how far things would go however, and she was unsure if she was really ready to venture down such an uncharted road with Jonathan. Whether they talked the rest of the time they were together, or explored that uncharted road, Katirena was eager to spend more time with him one way or another.
"Light on the meat, or heavy on the lettuce, a burger's still a burger." Her words held little confidence to back them up, as she examined her mountain of food once more. Judging by the direction the conversation was taking, Jonathan was just waiting for her to bail out. Katirena wanted to, gladly, but her pride was stopping her. As he made sly little comment about how "divine" his food was, Kat gave him a loathing glare. Taking a deep breath, she calmly picked up her enormous burger, raised it to her mouth, and took a bite. Depending on what you consider a bite, Kat had a long way to go before she even got a third of the way through the burger. As she slowly chewed, the disgust on her face was hard to miss, and her nose wrinkled despite all her efforts to appear smooth and casual. When he teased her about giving up, she merely shook her head, giving him a brazen look of disapproval.
As Jonathan spoke, Kat finished chewing her food, regretfully, and swallowed, grimacing slightly. By the time he was done, she could speak without the taste of fatty, greasy meat in her mouth.""I'm sure your ego has gotten you into more troubling times as well. As far as your looks go, I'm sure women fall for more than just that. You're the typical 'bad boy' that every women dreams of being with." As she explained to him that he was merely a dream to most females, she found herself caught up in the daydream as well whether she wanted to or not. His explanation of his scars left her slightly disappointed; she'd been hoping for a valiant survival tale, or bloody battle. "Unlike you, my scar has a tragic tale...somewhat. I was ambushed in an alley when I was eighteen by the wolf who turned me, and I can barely remember what happened. The pain was vivid, and I can remember him dragging it out until I was begging for death. Anyways, when he finally bit me, he latched on to my waist and didn't let go for a few seconds. I passed out and woke up in the alley still. The wound never healed like I expected it to once I was a werewolf, and it's just kind of been there ever since." As she explained the story of her scar, her had instinctively traveled across the subtle lumps beneath her shirt on the right side of her stomach. When she finished, she moved her hands back onto the table and began picking at the seeds on the bun of her burger. "My scar isn't nearly as regal as yours though. Mine's just awkward; awkwardly shaped, awkwardly placed, and just not cute at all." and she gave a soft chuckle, and looked back up at Jonathan.

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: KATIRENA ONE LAST THING: ALMOST FORGOT HOW FUN THESE TWO WHERE. :) WORD COUNT: 957
He'd promised himself that he wouldn't go digging, and usually he was a lot better at controlling himself, some would have said that he was a perfect example of someone in control but in that moment it took everything in him not to bite back at her. It made him bitter this subject, Made him want to shout until everyone agreed with him, humanity to his wasn't what you were but more of how you felt, acted. Jonathan may not have been a perfect example of this but he certainly believed what he preached. ''I agree we are dangerous but that doesn't mean we can't control ourself. I'd say I'm more able to dictate what happens in my life now more then ever before. The beast gives you more freedom then humanity ever could, that is if you embrace it.'' Jon wanted to say more, to rant and rave but keeping a cool head was important at a time like this. He didn't want to scare her away, she was someone he could connect to and that was a rarity in itself. She was something worth putting a little effort into pleasing. Her voice turned more aggressive towards him, more defensive showing him that he was about to over step his mark.
It made him wonder whether Kat would ever be able to see things his way, he'd been able to make others see his way. He'd been able to make them realise what he was talking about and hold it as their own truth but she didn't seem like one to give up her own beliefs to take on someone else's. That bothered Jonathan a little, it meant that he wouldn't be getting his own way more often then not and that was something he wasn't used to. He smiled at her trying to calm himself a little. He may have been telling her how in control he could be but there were times when he didn't believe it all. Like right now the animal side was ever present and it made him feel a little shaky, but he put it off with his smile hoping it was enough to mask the jittery feeling. He almost choked on his bite of food when she went along with his suggestion. ''You're going to make me wait so long, I don't think you'll ever be done with that monstrosity.'' He gave a tilt of his head towards her food. He his anxiety gave way to a more pleasant mood. It wasn't just the prospect of what was going to happen, or what might not happen but more of the fact that leaving this small space led him to think of things as being more concrete, and he liked that. The fact that the invitation held a promise of more then just tonight and here.
As the discussion of her food continued he almost applauded her resilience at wanting to prove him wrong. ''You know if you don't finish that I won't judge you, okay maybe I'll be a little smug but still I promise not to say I told you so.'' He was almost eager for her to give in. When he had said it would take her a while to finish he wasn't exaggerating, not much anyway. ''If it makes you feel better, we can never mention it again after this.'' His face held a tone of innocence, this want for her to finish had more to do with the fact that he wanted to go now, to see whatever there was behind this simple meeting. Another part of him was enjoying the facial expressions that the burger seemed to bring, it made her look more playful, and dare he think it a little cute. He turned his attention back to his own food, he'd have to finish that too.
''Do you include yourself in that? The every women I mean.'' He looked her straight in the eyes, trying to gage what the answer to his question was. He knew already that she didn't mind spending more time with him and whatever was implied with that but it coming it from her own mouth without hints seemed like much more promising. She almost looked disappointed when he told her his story, part of him couldn't help but feel a little regretful that he hadn't told her the full story. Down playing it seemed like the best idea and he was used to doing it, he didn't want her pry more into it, and he had no problem with twisting things so that it went his way. But as she told him his story he weighed the fact up with how she had trusted him and told him what he assumed was the real story. He quickly squashed those feelings, it wasn't like him and he wasn't about to change that. ''Sounds brutal, well one other upside of being a werewolf, not having to fear that you wont be able to protect yourself if there were to be a repeat performance.'' He didn't mention that the likeliness of that increased ten fold with becoming a werewolf. Jonathan noticed how she was almost lost in her own thoughts for a while before bringing it back to him and to the humour. It was a good defense mechanism that Jon has used many times before. ''I'm sure that yours is maybe if not cute then sexy, nothing wrong with a little character.'' He had finished his meal by then and wiped hands on a paper napkin. ''You know what screw the food, I know you don't want it and there are so many more pleasant things to be doing right now.'' Jon gave her a look hoping she would agree with him.

So cry if you need to, but I can't stay to watch you. That's the wrong thing to do. Kat was trying desperately to figure him out, something about Jonathan’s persistence on the subject. She was, in most cases, a very open minded person who could look at things in multiple perspectives, but not this. If they had been talking about anything else, Katirena would have eased up, and accepted his views, but not with this, it was too personal for her to just let go of. For a moment, her years of self-control were out the window and her eyes gave way whether she wanted it to happen or not. The red was splashed across her brown eyes, turning them to a vibrant maroon for a few moments, just a few. But in that time, the wolf had won a small victory over Katirena. As soon as she realized what was happening, Kat immediately turned her head away from Jonathan, her eyes tightly closed for a couple seconds as she battled to put the wolf back to sleep within her. When she was finally able to come to, Kat was extremely reluctant to look back at Jon, not embarrassed, just hoping she didn’t appear weak. “If this is freedom, and if the pain we go through each full moon is freedom, I don’t want it. I’d rather be a slave to humanity, than a slave to the moon.” When she spoke this time, it wasn’t with anger, it was with pure honesty, and the truth was that being a werewolf scared her. “I don’t like being this way, and I don’t know if I could ever like it. I just… I don’t think I could let myself give into it completely because if I do, I’m afraid of losing who I was before, ya know?” Though the question was rhetorical, Kat really only said it as if to re-convince herself of why she was arguing with Jonathan in the first place. A part of her was hoping he’d understand, but another part, the hard ass part, was hoping he wouldn’t so she could close herself off again. Katirena got the sense that with Jon, she could be completely and utterly truthfully and not be afraid to say who she was feeling and how being a werewolf affected her, but as strong as that feeling was, her instincts told her no. Still though, in this moment when Kat locked eyes with him again, she could see he was suppressing his wolf side too, that he was fighting his own internal battle with his own demon. His control over it however was much better than Katirena’s and that made her wonder how he could shut if off so easily. Ever since she’d been turned, having total power over the wolf side of her was something she’d never been able to master. In comparison to Jonathan, she was far from it considering she was unable to have a heated debate without letting the wolf take over slightly. She wanted to ask, but she decided that, that question would be better for another time. His soft smile gave her some reassurance that he wasn’t intentionally looking for a fight, just defending his beliefs, which Kat respected. The skittish joking and beating around the bush soon picked up again, and Kat laughed again. “Well, if I’d known you were going to be so eager to sweep me away, I wouldn’t have ordered such a monstrosity.” Kat liked how easily conversation came to the two of them, it was refreshing actually. She felt like there was an actual chance of an intelligent conversation here when compared to the normal conversations Katirena was use to having with guys in this town. Kat was hoping it would continue as long as possible. Quitting and giving up were two things Kat rarely did, which meant it took a lot for her to simply raise a white flag. This time though, just this one time, Kat was eager to give into defeat and quickly swallowed the single bit she’d taken. When she finished she gave Jonathan an unfriendly glare, or at least she attempted to before she took one of the fries on her tray and threw it at him. “I swear, if this ever leaves this restaurant, I will hunt you down and beat the shit out of you.” And she pointed a warning finger at him with a soft giggle of laughter. Kat was grateful for the chance to surrender, as much as she’d play if off, because it meant more time with Jonathan, which meant he would have a better chance of figuring him out. Initially Kat was prepared to said no, she was expecting some kind of direct question challenging what she’d said, but when she was about to speak, her words got caught up. Katirena was almost always a smooth talker, so this wasn’t something she was use to, but being the quick thinker she was, Kat found a way to allude the question even further… somewhat. “Oh, I’ve defiantly got a bad boy fantasy, but we’ll just have to see if you can ever live up to it.” Genius, she praised herself, pure genius. Kat still couldn’t shake the feeling, however, that there was more to the story of Jonathan’s scars. The story he’d told was believable, the kind of story a well-trained liar could easily sell, but Kat was good at lying too so she was having doubts. She wasn’t sure if she should voice those doubts, so she simply gave him a questioning look. “ You have a point. Protection isn’t something to worry about anymore.” When he “said without saying,” that her scar was sexy her cheeks blushed slightly. She was relieved however when he said they should leave, because she was in complete agreeance. Katirena seized the opportunity and was quickly on her feet. “Let’s go then cowboy, the rodeo waits for no one.” and with that, she grabbed his hand, assuming he’d follow as she lead the way out the door. TAG: Jonathan WORDS: 993 NOTES: These two make me jealous of my real life flirting skills Cause you'll say you love me, and I'll end up lying And say I love you too.
