Coffee. Coffee. God did he need the black elixir of life right about now. Working for more than thirty hours straight without sleeping was starting to take its toll on the young hybrid. Elliot was grumpy with everyone he came across. It was like he was waiting for that one thing to cause him to explode into a million pieces and attack someone with his fists. Or guns, or knives. What was he carrying on him today? The hybrid thought that walking would be easier than riding his bike or taking his car. It was nice out and the fresh air would do him some good. He was just about to make it to the door when a young woman came running over to him. Mr. Lan we got the proposal from France, do you want to look at it? Anger rose in his chest and he narrowed his eyes. Didn’t she see he was leaving? No matter, there was no point on wasting this rage on her. She was doing her job, like a good girl. “Can you leave it on my desk for me? I’m going out for coffee.” He smiled before curtly turning for the door.
Part of him wishes he had hired his sister for his secretary job instead of someone he didn’t know. People could make him want to become a murderer full time. And often he questioned if killing would be the perfect change of career for him or not. With a sigh he continued to walk down to the coffee shop he visited so many times during the week. The knew him by name now as well as order. In reality Elliot was a boring person when it came to coffee. He liked it completely black with only a small amount of sugar. Hiding the delicious bitter taste with a large amount of cream and sugar was just sinful to him. He smiled at the girl behind the counter. “Black with only a bit of sugar?” It ran like clock work, which was something he loved completely. With a nod he moved away to let others order their drink. His thankfully didn’t take long and he had it in his hands before he knew it. He paid and turned to leave, but as he opened the door he felt someone crashing into him. Thankfully they were both outside, however this was the straw that broke the camels back.
The searing coffee soaked into Elliot’s shirt and he glared at the person before him. “Are you blind or just fucking stupid? If blind I might apologize for your idiocy but help you invest in a nice walking stick.” He snapped and growled, his hands running down his button up shirt that was stained. It wasn’t the fact that his shirt was completely ruined and also causing second degree burns on his skin. How the fuck could someone not notice someone leaving from the door? How? Elliot began to question this person’s stupidity as he waited for an apology. Yes, he thought he deserved it. He didn’t run into anyone, they ran into him. Always blame others and never yourself. That was one of the many mottos he told himself.
“Well are you going to stand there, fucking gawking or apologize?” He grumbled.

maybe heaven right now is a devil or angel away together we vow that our colors will sparkle the faith
The lucky ones who ever had the opportunity to get to know Jun would know that he was big on anything that had to do with numbers and technology. He was a huge sucker for math, all it took for him to be completely distracted for a whole day was a complicated problem that he would spend hours trying to solve. And plus, besides his brain receiving a nice yet fucked up workout, it kept his lust for blood in check, with no chance of getting the better of him at all. The numbers simply whirled around his mind, and he damn well loved them. The boy was always calculating something, and even now knew the measurements of his apartment because he simply had nothing else to do at that time.
Today he had been given a problem that had something to do with calculating the possibility of a meteor hitting the earth, based on its size, velocity, acceleration, and all the requirements needed that no one else but him would usually bother with. Happy at such a challenge, Jun was able to put all his insecurities and low self-esteem away for the time being, and focus on the one thing that he was confident he could solve. Pen and paper in hand, the boy sauntered down the streets, scribbling and scribbling away, heading for the nearest coffee shop. He had only recently found out that he was able to concentrate better with the smell of coffee in the air, and of course, a cup of cold frappuccino.
The last thing he expected was to actually collide with someone. Most would do well to get out of the way of someone writing away on a piece of paper, but apparently this was not the case. A startled squawk escaped Jun's lips at the collision, and miraculously, not a single drop of hot coffee had landed on him. However, it did not stop him from feeling extremely guilty for crashing into the man. He cringed at the yelling, and the more the words came, the more Jun shrank and backed away. He was almost tempted to start running with his tail between his legs. If it was possible, he would already have shrank into his clothing, becoming nothing more than a Smurf sized individual that deserved to be stepped on.
"I'm sorry!" The words came out in a jumbled squeak. Jun knew that there was no way he could wriggle out of this one by not speaking, despite him being a voluntary mute. The other Asian man was that scary, and the hybrid literally was quaking in his boots. "I really am sorry sir. I didn't see where I was going. I-I just..." He kept silent after that, realizing that his words were simply coming out stupidly, rushing and tumbling into each other.
"I'm sorry."

A small timid deer stood before him and Elliot sighed. His angry still there but in lower amounts. Elliot could be a dick, but he wasn’t a bully. However, that being said a grown man should watch where he was going. Quickly the hybrid tried to find something else to say, perhaps with a little less malice, but it was becoming a very difficult process. Slowly he shook his head and eyed him up once more. Ashton said that maybe he should be nicer to others. Elliot sneered in at the thought of the human boy actually getting to him, but he wanted to test it. “Don’t worry about it.” He sighed softly. Amazed at how calm he actually sounded considering five seconds ago he sounded like he was going to snap someone’s neck.
“Want to make it up to me? You could get me a new coffee.” He snickered a little bit. It was a lot better sounding then asking the male to pay for his clothes to be clean. At least coffee was cheap and good here. Well so far he felt calmer than he normally would, but his face screamed ‘don’t fuck with me’ so that could cause some issues for the hybrid later on. He was dealing with someone who in the three seconds he’d know this man was completely his opposite. Elliot was harsh and a fighter, this man seemed to become a turtle whenever trouble came up. No matter.
The hybrid glanced at his watch and ran a hand through his hair, curious about the man in front of him. Normally he wouldn’t care and would most likely walk away if he needed to, but he was trying something new and new meant well you had to do things differently than your usual routine. “I apologize for being rude… My morning hasn’t been that wonderful and I took my anger out on you.” Well that was a first for him, saying sorry for something he’d done? Elliot was amazed with himself. Maybe Ashton was right, maybe this was how he needed to change to make some friends?
No. No. Elliot growled inwardly and glared at the sidewalk for a moment. There was no way in hell he was going to let that human boy win. He couldn’t, not if his life depended on it. But there was something that he couldn’t shake, and the only way he would know was once the male in front of him answered.
