You couldn't say that Ruben was a bad friend. Of course, he doesn't have many friends. Actual real friends, but some have come closer than others. Which is why when he was asked to help Jazabelle with some self defence he didn't refuse. He knew that he would be rewarded for it, in a way he likes, Rue thought sheepishly, but also he cared about her enough to extend to her his knowledge of martial arts. Slipping into a pair of sweats and one of his vests, Rue walked to the old gym. He didn't like using the one that he and Quinn and the guys used, there were too many people to distract and if there was one thing that the shapeshifter took seriously, was training. The Old Gym wasn't so bad. It was a little run down, but the mats were new and there was a lot of free space because most people preferred using the more up to date gyms in the Manuka. Honestly, Rue was fine without luxury, hell after he'd ran away from the mansion that he lived in with his parents he could barely afford an apartment, so it wasn't like he wasn't used to a bit of a run down state. He was sure that Jaz wouldn't mind either, though she make pick fun at his choice of location. Nevertheless, Rue throws his gym bag over his shoulder before making his way out of his apartment, but not before he made sure that he left food for his kitten and petted him. It was funny how out of all the people Rue found a friend in a cat. When he'd just come to Manuka the cat was as much of a stray as Ruben himself was and he felt less alone, but now he was in love with the tiny fur ball that he was sure he'll still love when it grows up. Shaking his head a little he closed the door behind him. It was funny how he had a room mate but he barely ever saw him. Spencer was cool to live with, but sometimes complained when Rue brought home girls. He wasn't even sorry, because it was better to fuck at home than in a random place, though that had happened many a time. The shifter chuckled at the thought of all the places he'd had girls, and it was really kind of surprising to someone who doesn't know Rue. He was a fiend when it came to girls. He was tall, dark and he had a motorcycle, he wore leather jackets and boots and he had charm that girls just fell for. To say the least, Ruben could get any woman he wanted if he tried hard enough, with few exceptions. The walk to the gym was quick, and because it was summer he didn't feel like he needed to wear a jacket. He really did prefer wearing as few clothes as possible, so he could show off his tattoo's mostly. That was how he and Jaz had met, she did some work on him and he'd liked it, so he'd come back. However, the last time he'd gone to the Heretics Brand the silly pink haired minx hadn't been there, but luckily he'd been left in more than capable hands. Rue grinned a little at the thought because Thessily had been fiesty, and flirty and so sexy, everything that Rue liked in a woman. She'd also be a challenge, and very much one Rue would be up for. The work she did on him was as good as Jaz's though he was certainly sure that the werewolf wouldn't have hired her if she wasn't anything less than amazing. As he turned down the road towards the gym, Rue slammed the doors open, walking straight past the empty desk at the front and to one of the open rooms where there were all kinds of gym mats. Licking his lips, he threw his bag down on the floor, and picking up his water bottle he took a long drink. Then, he moved to the middle of the floor to start stretching as he waited for Jaz to arrive, knowing he'd scold her for being late. With a roll of his eyes at the though, Ruben just got on with stretching his muscles. words 721 | tagged; jaz/kai | ongoing made by owlgirl of caution 2.0 |
