Leaving one's home was difficult, at least for most teenagers when they went off to college. But this wasn't a child leaving for college. No, she'd left home because it wasn't safe there. Not for her, not for her father, not for the town. Unfortunately there had been no choice but to move away, with no local wolf pack in her specific area. However that didn't mean she had never smelt wolf. Oh no, she was probably one of the best trackers in Texas. The blonde thought she knew just where to head towards. So with a strangely easy farewell, she had left her father behind to go and search out the wolves. Only being a werewolf herself for a short amount of time, she needed a pack. Needed help and somewhere secure. The meat locker back home, well it wasn't exactly the safest or most sanitary place for her. With nothing but a single suitcase of clothes and a golf club shaped bag, she'd made her way out of Texas. It wasn't long before she found herself coming to a final stop in the town of Manuka. So many different scents going around she wasn't sure where to start. To find so many different scents, well it was new to her that was for sure. Her first day she'd spent getting settled in to a hotel and researching as much as she could on the locals. From what she could get, there wer in fact a few packs here, along with a group for just about every other species. How did so many live this close together and not kill each other?
Today, she was out trying to hunt down a pack. Following scent alone was actually harder than she'd expected. So many different directions, not to mention some of the other shapeshifter scents covered up the wolf musk. This wasn't going to be as easy as she had first thought. Making her way through town, Jordyn did her best to follow the trail. In the forest, well there were a lot fewer smells to interfere with her tracking. In town, every little thing seemed to get in the way of what she was trying to do. A soft growl trickled from thin lips, blue eyes wandering helplessly around town. Wrinkling her nose, she stopped moving for a minute and just stood in the center of the sidewalk. Focus, she thought to herself. Standing completely immobile, she let her mind fall in to ease. The sounds around her began to grow, no longer jumbled but individual sounds. A soft smile pulled over her lips and face as those almond eyes opened. Harder, but not impossible.
Heading farther in town, she was once again following the wolf trail. Since she had left her truck back at a parking lot, Jordyn found herself walking through the city on her own. Good thing she'd decided to dress down with a more simple pair of boots. Long legs were bare to the heat of the day in pale colored shorts. Slender waist wrapped tight in the black of her two toned tank, arms and chest bare and clean. Or at least, clean of everything but the multitude of color decorating her arms. She'd always held interest in body art, and since the age of sixteen found herself addicted to the pain and needles. Of coarse now, she wasn't so sure how the beast would react to being poked with a bunch of tiny needles. She almost laughed at the though, imaging how the wolf would take having a large needle pierce all the holes her body held. Before she knew it, the blonde found herself walking up to a large night club. Not exactly the type of place she'd hoped to find herself at, but worth a shot.
The light colored wolf sniffed the air and began to pace within her mind, knowing that they would find something here. With no hesitation, Jordyn sauntered in to the bar and pulled the sunglasses from her face. The place wasn't just big on the outside, it was big on the inside as well. Reaching her hand up, she began to play with the locket around her neck. A very faint smell of wolf seemed stale in the air, but if there was anything fresh she couldn't catch it. Too many bodies, too many scents, too much sweat. Although not yet defeated, Jordyn found herself growing tired of searching and so she made her way to the bar. Sitting on one of the stools she ordered a Jack and coke. Might as well get a drink while she was in here, right?
