The demon liked to keep his life as... uncomplicated as possible. It was part of his personality, wanting to keep things neat, tidy, and under control. Control was something that he'd always greatly valued, and knew that one had to possess in order to get through the ages and changes in time and the world relatively unscathed. Remarkably, he'd managed to do well for himself: the man was a billionaire, with nearly unlimited resources, several large companies, pet projects to keep him occupied, and he'd done all of this on his own, with only a little bit of outside advising. Lately, however, he'd gotten himself in somewhat of a bind with something he had never expected: the three thousand year old demon was having woman problems. Gideon sat at one of the tables outside of the bar area in his hotel, nursing a glass of scotch at three o' clock in the afternoon, which was extremely early for some, but not quite early enough for him. While he wasn't a heavy drinker, and alcohol really didn't have much of an effect on him, it was still an outlet that he pursued when things weren't quite going his way. The man was trying to read his newspaper, settle his mind, but he still kept thinking about the little triangle that he'd gotten himself in. Well, sort of. On one hand, he had Jyli. The feisty, lively fae woman was his... partner? Girlfriend, in modern terms. Committed lover? He hated the term 'girlfriend' because it just seemed so informal, so recklessly youthful and distasteful for a man like him. Gideon cared for Jyli, and when he was around her, there were times when he thought it was just like being truly happy: something he'd always thought wasn't worth his time and might never come his way. And Jyli cared for him, remarkably enough, despite the fact that he was difficult, stubborn, and couldn't always make the time for her that he'd like to because he was a very busy man. Yet she took his excuses in stride and seemed to really treasure the time they did spend together. He'd also been spending a lot of that time with Aralenne, a gorgeous fallen angel from his past - he'd known her since, quite literally, his birth. And ever since he first laid eyes on her again, a lust had bubbled to Gideon's surface that he knew was the result of uncharted territory that the two had never crossed before, when their place was in the heavens. Gideon knew things could be different now, between them, if he wanted. If he chose. If he chose between Aralenne and Jyli. Between his past and his present to try to determine a proper path toward what would make his brightest future. Gideon sighed, flipped the page in the newspaper, and took another drink. Sincerely, he was hoping for no distractions today, but that would probably turn out to be too much. And was, when he heard a giant crash in the middle of his hotel lobby. OUTFIT: Here!

Broken glass rained upon him, cutting the exposed skin on his forearms. It stung, but he had other matters on his plate. Such as this girl that was intent on harming him.
It was just like any other day. Rayne had been wandering the streets of Manuka, thinking of how pointless his life really was. He did that quite often. Then a girl approached him. Except she looked really, really rich. Designer clothing, her outfit matched perfectly, and it seemed as if she spent approximately three hours on her hair and makeup every day. It was about noon when that happened. A conversation occurred, and then he was led into one of the most luxurious and expensive hotels he had ever seen. They had a few. They went to the woman's room.. The rest is easy to guess.
However, it appeared that she was looking for a real relationship, not just a little pleasure. That was not the fallen angel's style, and so, like always, he left. She didn't like that. And that was how he came to be threatened by a lady holding a broken Vodka bottle.
"Just.. Just put it down." Rayne wasn't really concerned about being harmed. Only another angel, guardian or fallen, could kill him, and he was pretty certain this lunatic was human. He backed up slowly, well aware he was now in the hotel's lobby, and that he would get in trouble real soon. That was a fact. And that fact happened within the blink of an eye.
The lady hurled the jagged piece of bottle, and, out of pure instincts, the man ducked. There was a giant crash, and the sound of glass shattering and clinking as it hit the floors. Shit! He did a quick look around, finding that the girl had disappeared, and now he was left with this mess. And would probably be held responsible for it. What did she break anyways...? The source was quickly discovered; an expensive-looking vase containing some rather lovely flowers. Dammit.
