a small five foot three framed girl's pink and black high top sneakers pounded the pavement of the city centre. most of the time she avoided the city because of how busy it tended to be and she enjoyed the great out doors; one day hoping to move into the country. she preferred to lay in the grass of lay off a branch of a tree or sit on a rock and listen to the sounds of nature. nothing quite like nature soothed her. she wasnt a hippie of sorts she just enjoyed the content quiet nature brought. it was quiet but not uncomfortable because it was fill with the sounds of crickets in the grass and mice scurrying through the field and birds taking flight and the rushing water of a possible near by river. the city was the opposite always loud with cars and the pounding of feet against the cement pavement and constant sounds of horns honking and doors opening and the busy chatter of the people. it wasnt olivias choice of live style but she couldnt complain. she did love the little stores she goes into and spends her days.
somehow this brunette had been able to avoid conversation with people for a good seven years. it wasnt that she wasnt friend, quite the opposite actually, she was just quiet and wasnt one to approach other people. the first three years she lived in the city she did avoid people. she was afraid to leave her own house with her aunt. her aunt forced her out to go to school and to see her friends. she was in constant fear for those three years; looking over her shoulder as if he'd appear and attack her. once she attended high school she became more social but was still the quiet girl. she wasnt one to jump up to do things but if no one would do it she didnt mind, usually causing her to get walked all over. her friends would tease her that she was always busy with things she didnt even volunteer to do. she was always drafted to do so but she didnt mind. she enjoyed busy work at that time. it kept her mind occupied and kept her busy so the fear slowly slipped away. eventually she allowed herself out and about like her normal self but most of the times shes out shes off in the fields or the forest by herself enjoy nature and picking flowers. she wasnt unhappy. she was actually very content with her life now, she had tasty food on her plate, money in her pockets, a warm bed at night, and the beautiful out doors. she did miss having some company. she managed a few brief conversations but nothing solid. she had no best friends which secretly she did desire.
olivia wore a pale strapless dress with a cute little bow on the chest with a black cardigan over it. she wore her charm bracelet that she always wore for 'good luck' as well as her leather tripple wrap bracelet and spike bracelet she found cute. she had on a silver wishbone kuckle ring as well as a golden love heart ring and an arrow. walking down the busy streets it was nearing luck hour and she wanted to find a place to eat before everywhere was packed with people out on their lunch break or noticing the time like herself. she stopped and looked around trying to think of what she was in the mood for; the benefit of the city is the possibilities seem endless of what you can order. she was starting to get stumped till a certain building caught her brown eyes. she smiled as the sign outside advertised 'georgios' she nodded to herself in approval and skipped her way over to the old looking restaurant. it had appeared the restaurant as as old as the town itself and walking into what felt like seventeenth century italy bought her the cozy feeling she always loved and looked for in places.
she smiled as she went and took a seat grabbing a menu letting her hungry eyes view the words and her stomach guide her to her fill.

Tobias Conners A demon walked beside a road, over the light grey pavement that was covered in dirt, gum, and who knows what else. The demon was Tobias. Currently, he chose to be invisible to the world so he could walk undisturbed from his dwelling through the town. He didn’t have a good reason to be outside today, except for one. The sky was full of heavy, dark clouds that foretold rain, which he wanted to enjoy from the very first raindrop to the very last one that fell, and he could very well do that all cooped up inside. No, to enjoy the rain as he often did, he needed to be outside to watch each flash of uncontrollable lightning and to feel each boom of thunder reverberate through his chest. He wanted to dance among the trees as the whispered fervently to each other in the strong winds, and he didn’t want to go back to his room until he was soaked straight to the bone.
But first it had to rain, and though the clouds drooped and the wind started to kick up, not a single drop of water had yet fallen from the sky, and this was why he had decided to explore the city that was, at least for now, new to him. Tobias turned just far enough into an alleyway to be out of sight from the people nearby and, checking to be sure he wouldn’t be seen, returned to the world of visibility, and walked back into the hustle and bustle of sidewalk travel. His light blue t-shirt clung to his frame and hung over the top of his dark, nearly black, jeans. His hair fell around his shoulders, wavy and air-dried. Though it didn’t look bad, not for Tobias. It was just the mundane style that he called his own.
He walked on for perhaps ten or fifteen minutes before deciding it was time to, once more, leave the busy pavement for a not as crowded area. From the outside looking in, the least packed building nearby was an old building with the sign “georgio’s” near the door. As he walked closer, he was met by the smell of food, and as he walked inside, the smell of Italian greatness hit him full force. One side of the building, there was at least two couples that he had no interesting in being anywhere near. As he picked up a menu, he saw a girl sitting at a table alone. Perhaps she was waiting on someone, perhaps she was not. However, what he did know was that if she was alone, she knew the town. If she knew the town, knowing her would probably be a good thing in case the streets ever became unfamiliar or he had to visit a place he hadn’t heard of. If she was willing to be helpful, that was.
Tobias walked over to the girl’s table and stood behind the chair across from her. “Hey...” He rested a hand on the back of the chair and flipped his hair out of his face. “Can I sit here?”

olivia looked at the menu thinking what she would like. she didnt mind sitting alone a few times shed look up and glance around seeing all the pairs and groups. she wasnt unfriendly just shy. she was incredibly friendly actually, unless you were a hunter, there were rare people who didnt dislike her. she was always polite and smiling and considerate. she wasnt a bad person shes just quiet.
olivias head perked up from the menu hearing a guys voice as she looked up offering a smile but cheerful and genuine smile, "of course! go ahead. company is always nice. hi im olivia." she smiled holding her hand out to him. her eyes glanced over him and he seemed like a nice guy.
her senses were heightened since she was a shapeshift and she had stronger sense of smell and hearing and some ability to actually see in the dark especially if she changes. she smelled something off about this guy. is it possibly hes a supernatural like herself? he didnt smell like any animal or shifter so he couldnt have been a shifter or werewolf. she had little knowledge about other supernaturals so she wouldnt really be able to pick one out by smell or sight or behavior. she looked at him smiling still trying to figure it out. something about him was off...not human. not that olivia minded. she actually would love a supernatural friend. one from each species. so she could gather a better understanding for who she is and other supernaturals and this crazy world she was in.
she cut off her thoughts not wanting to be rude as she smiled, "so what makes you decide to come here today?" she lowered the menu so she could get a better look at him as she stayed happy and friendly.

Once permission was granted for Tobias to sit, he pulled back the chair, returning the cheerful and genuine smile with one of his own, though his was not nearly so bright. In fact, it could easily be described as an upward twitch of his lips. Lucky for him, most people do in fact believe it's the thought that counts. He reached out to grasp the hand offered him to shake it gently but firmly. "I'm Tobi. Pleasure to meet you." A moment later and he retracted his hand and sat down, pulling the chair a comfortable distance to the table. As far as first impressions went, she seemed a nice enough person to meet.
Being new to the town and rather unaware of everything around him, Tobias had no idea there could be something off with his smell or that there could be other supernatural beings who could detect he was different. Not surprising that he still had a lot to learn about the place. And where as his new lunch buddy was onto the fact he wasn't human, Tobi remained completely unaware that the girl across from him had her own special abilities that gave her claim to the supernatural title. Maybe one day he would look back and think his ignorance a foolish thing, but for now it did no harm.
Before responding to the girl, now known to be named Olivia, and her question, Tobi's eyes knit together ever so slightly. There really was no reason why, exactly, other than the fact that he was waiting for the rain. If only that answer didn't sound so pointlessly silly! "Well..." he began, "I'm new in town." Yes, a good opening for a not silly explanation. He gave her a slight smile before continuing. "I wanted to try and get a feel of the town. Then the smell of Italian food drew me in." Yep. That definitely sounded much better than Yeah, just figured I'd wait for the rain like I've got nothing better to do with my life.

she nodded while listening to him knowing what it was like being new and not really having anyone to help you out and having to learn everything by yourself and how lonesome it could be...but than again maybe he enjoys that? she looked at him as she said, "well if youd like after we eat i wouldnt mind showing you around! i love this city its so beautiful and interesting." she nodded cheerfully.
she held up her menu as she said giggling, "but first food! i love italian food its so good i cant decide what to get. you have any ideas? i thought the chicken marsala or the fettuchini alfredo sounds delightful! what do you like?" she looked at the menu thinking about how delicious everything was and her love for italian food. it almost made her mouth water because she was so hungry she was nearly bouncing in her seat.
her mind couldnt help but wonder what he was. she thought itd be rude to ask and what if someone was listening in on their conversation! that would be horrible to hear. so she just did her best to pick out if shes smelled her scent before or if it was like any other scent or anything. her mind started to wonder. so many possibilities and she was excited. she was around a supernatural...or maybe she was mistaking it as an abnormal human scent...she couldnt though. she couldnt wait till he opened up enough to tell her. than she can ask him all sorts of questions about what his kind was like...it may sound horrible but olivia meant nothing bad by it. she was simply curious. she was like an eager puppy...or kitten since shes part cat. she truly does live up to the 'curiosity killed the cat'. she just hoped shed be able to hold back from asking him what he was knowing it would probably scare him off or hed start getting hostile with her which was the last thing she wanted she wanted to be friends.

Maybe it was the promise of rain that put him in such an accepting mood. Only the world knew how it was that such excitement and joy could manage to get under his skin, usually. But today was a good day, the weather was cool and the clouds were overhead. All it took was the first crack of thunder, the first flash of lightning, and the first drop of rain, and his day would be complete. He figured it was that type of weather, the stormy weather that always put him at ease, that calmed his natural turmoil, if only for a little while.
And so, he returned her cheerful nod with his subtle, sincere smile. "I'd love a tour of the city. Getting the basic layout could be just what I need." So much time to have wandered around the world, he new some basic Italian foods already, but chose to glance over the menu anyway. "Those both sound great, but I think I'm in a bit of a fettuccine arrabiata mood today." Peppers and sausage, maybe not for everyone, but he was looking for a little kick to his lunch today.
Tobias sat back in his chair, a calm guy just checking to see if anything on the menu might change his mind. He almost laughed at the contrast between him and the excited girl across from him. Maybe it really was a curse to live forever, because when one lives forever, the excitement of something as common as a day at a restaurant loses its flair, loses the joy that people like Olivia found in a simple day's outing. A glance to the window showed that, yes, it still wasn't raining. Time to continue the conversation. "Did the smell of food draw you into this place, too?"

olivia's eyes castes out the window briefly a slight frown formed on her lips. she noticed the sky was starting to get overcast and that usually promised two of her least favorite things: water and thunder. she had a huge fear of thunder. as a child she would often hide under her bed or under the tables with a blanket and her stuffed panther, a joke from her father but she fell in love with the stuffed creature anyways, and just talk to the panther to try to occupy her mind to keep from crying. growing up she realized she couldnt hide under her bed anymore talking to a stuffed panther. she still grew uneasy during storms and usually bolted inside her house locking the doors and turning off all the lights, in fear the storm would turn them off anyways, and sitting in a certain chair in her room with a candle and reading. that was the best way she could deal with it. one of her least favorite memories also involved thunderstorms. during the week she spent in the forest there were storms every other night and often times than olivia would take her panther form and huddle for shelter alone.
her thought snapped back to her quickly as her frown was replaced with a smile for tobias. she didnt want to be rude. she looked back to him and smiled with a nod, "sounds good. i would love to help you. i think youll love the city is a wonderful place. where are you originally from?
[/b]" she asked curiously as her eyes moved towards the menu looking over it deciding on the fettuccine alfredo. she closed her menu setting it aside as her attention centered on him. olivia giggled at his question with a happy smile and a shrug, " ive passed here multiple times and the look of the place is so classic and beautiful and the food smelled so enticing i decided why not." she giggled happily. she was glad to have company. one thing she hated was dining alone. or being alone in general. as quiet as olivia is she loves company even if theyre both quiet just the company of each other is enough to keep her smiling. even though besides all the people that surrounds her she often feels alone and secluded from the rest and she hates that.
