There's a lot about Shae that really throws people for a loop. She's this beautiful woman, and ends up being this tom boy who is horribly nice until you rub her the wrong way. She does not like talking about why she grows uncomfortable because of her past or that she lost her parents. She lost them when she was 12 and was kidnapped shortly after only to undergo sexual abuse. She often feels as if she'll be attacked again, some sort of paranoia plaguing her mind. It's something she struggles with on a day to day basis.

The only men she can really handle right now are her brothers, although she has not really found them yet. She's extremely independent and had to learn a lot on her own. She doesn't easily trust, but she gives everyone a chance unless something reminds her a lot about what happened with the man who kidnapped her. She is a lot of fun though, and likes friends, although because she has such a strong personality, sometimes it's hard for people to get along with her. Certain things do make her quiet though, something that often points towards something that happened to her.

Shae was born to her parents, two demons. At the time she had two adopted brothers, but she had known them forever. They were about five years older than she was. She grew up having to hide her powers though from her brothers, of course not always understanding why. She was the good child at first though, always listening, but she always was a tom boy with her brothers who she grew close to, but of course she also learned to play rough, yet was picked on by them because she was the youngest of the bunch. Overall, she was close to her family and then things changed.

her parents were killed by a group of hunters when she and her siblings were at school. She was informed at school that day, and she was told to go home, and since she usually walked she did walk, but not home, not wanting to be there right now. At 12 years old, she had walked for about a mile and a half before being kidnapped by Zachary. The next period of her life was not exactly pretty. She was kept as some sort of slave and for a while nothing else became of her. Then a month or two after she had turned 16, Zachary had raped her and that didn't stop there. It continued for a year or two. That's when Shae figured out she seriously needed to start trying to escape.

She managed to figure out her powers in the free time though, but she was always locked inside, forced to stay away from everyone. Of course, Zachary had on some level had an unhealthy obsession with her as he bought her anything and everything she wanted, but still abused her, but only her. Still her powers worked to her advantage and had become strong enough that she could escape and so she went to Manuka, looking for her brothers once again, not even sure if they were alive really.
