SEXUALITY Heterosexual PLAY-BY Jeremy Sumpter YOUR ALIAS Leto ------------------------------------------------- Personality Lucas had never been very angelic. In fact, he acted a lot like Mark Twain's fictional character 'Tom Sawyer'. Some might even say he was the inspiration behind the novel. Lucas's life was never complete without a bit of flair. He was a prankster and was always more concerned about finding out what happened after then the actual consequences of something. He grew up in the south where slavery was just an everyday thing but Lucas had never been one to separate the lines. Growing up, Lucas's only friends where the slave children his parents owned, much to his parents disappointment. They tried to raise him proper with little outfits and dragging him from party to party but he always found a way to ruin something just for the fun of it. Even with his antics, he was well liked around town, by adults and children. Although he was his parents nightmare, around town he was the sweet little boy who always offered to help with something. He was always willing to run an errand for someone or simply sit and talk and hear stories from the elders in town. He was even well liked within the slave community. He treated them all with respect and as an equal and would often times stand up for a slave against their master which usually followed with a hefty punishment when he returned home. Appearance Reese looks like your average county boy with the sexy southern drawl. His body is well toned and his skin tans to a perfect bronze every summer. On top of that, he's got bright sea green eyes and curly brown hair. Most days he sports a five o'clock shadow that fits perfect on his chiseled jaw. In 1876, he had been a rich man's son destined for a soft life as a politician but grew up with his slave friends and ended up with a hard life of physical labor, giving him his roughneck appearance. With his shirt on, he looks like any other guy but take his shirt off, you'll see the horrid scars along his back where his wings used to be. Of course, you can only see his scars if he allows you to. As much as he hates the scars, he doesn't hate he losing his wings just to be back on the world. When he first came back to earth, he divulged into all the new pleasures of life, including a tattoo of O.J beneath his right arm. He's never said what it meant but it could very well be a woman from his past. He also got a tattoo along his left side that says, "To Die would be a big adventure" which he states epitomizes his life. History BIRTH |

Life always had a way of throwing a curve ball out of nowhere and smacking you in the face with it. Leto had found that curve ball less than a year ago. Soon after he had entered the Project, he had goals of escaping into the rebellion, to help tear down the corrupt Government. But that all came to a crashing halt when he met Alainn and then... Taylor. That was the corner stone of his turned around life. When Taylor turned up pregnant, with his child, he realized he couldn't just "leave" the project and leave that baby there to go through the horrors and twisted perverseness of the Project held in store for it. No, he would have to take the child with him. But that also came with another curve ball. No one cared that he was the father. In the Project, it wasn't about the parenting that they cared about. It was the breeding. Normally, biological fathers were given no choices in everything. Even the mothers; the infants torn from their breast at birth and not given back till after they turned 5 years old. So between birth and five years old, stealing the baby was like trying to kill the President. It wasn't happening. He would have to take the child after it was in the care of Taylor but he couldn't live here for another five years. And that was if Taylor decided to raise it.
So the day Taylor went into labor, Leto had a lot of things to think about. His escape plan was already set for the end of this month. He had received the body enhancement he needed to take with him to the rebellion and Alainn had promised to help him. When asked if she had decided on whether she was coming with him or not, she told him he would find out the day of. Leto's theory was that she had not yet decided and he was sure him leaving would convince her. A spur of the moment decision. So the only thing he could do was plan that she was coming. If he thought that maybe she wasn't coming, he wouldn't be able to go through with the plan. Not now. Not after what they had been through so far together. Since that first initial meeting almost a year ago, Leto and Alainn had fallen madly in love with each other. Sneaking away secretly to see each other, quick kisses in a closet on their way to the medical facilities for testing. It was all they could afford. If they were caught, Leto would be sent "to a better place" and Alainn.... well, she never really said what would happen to her but Leto could see the fear in her eyes when she talked about it. He didn't blame her. He didn't know why he was more terrified of being "sent to a better place" then he really was.
News came later that night that Taylor had had a girl. Was he supposed to feel relief? Anxiety? Excitement? Truthfully? He felt dead inside. This wasn't supposed to have had happened. He had vowed to himself that he wouldn't give in to the Project's demands and reproduce but since meeting Alainn, he had had a powerful urge to take her as his own and had taken Taylor instead when they had both been at their most vulnerable. He regretted it even now, when news came to him that he was a father. Not only had he vowed not to reproduce within the Project but he had also promised Alainn that he would do just that. Which should he break? It was a contradiction at it's greatest and it had Leto stuck in a rut for the longest time. Of course, Fate decided which promise to break for him before he realized what had happened. Now he had to pay for his mistakes, even if that included leaving the child behind to be raised by the Project. But he wouldn't forget. Oh no. He'd return someday to get them out. He would destroy the Project once and for all.
A nurse came and got him at quarter till nine at night to allow him to see his daughter. She smiled happily at him, gushing about the beauty of birth and the baby girl's beautiful curls but Leto barely listened. He was sick to his stomach. Did they steal the babe from Taylor already? Did they send her broken and sobbing back to her apartment to start over? Would should be his reaction at seeing the baby? Should he leap for joy or bend over and vomit? There were too many emotions and what ifs running through his head at that moment, he felt as though he might indeed vomit. But as soon as the nurse led him to the maternity ward and left him before the windowed wall where the babies were stored, did all his emotions leave him, leaving him stunned and awed. Behind the glass, in a pink blanket was a tiny little girl, her fists clenched together, her tiny black curls framing her chubby pink cheeks. The moment that made it perfect? She was being held in the arms of Alainn herself, a truly happy smile on her face and a glow about her that could have made anyone believe that the babe was hers. This sight, this perfect sight instantly made him fall in love with his daughter and something inside him clicked. He couldn't leave her behind. He would do all in his power to get her out. Her and Alainn. They were his life and this picture perfect moment would stay with him forever.
