”Please don’t! You don’t understand what it’s like!” That’s right. Moka didn’t understand was it was like to be a murderer. Murderers killed without reason, however he knew that wasn’t always the case. Sometimes they had a perfectly petty reason to end a life. The guardian angel wasn’t a murderer, he was just handing out justice when he saw it. Which in it’s own way was a very egotistical thing to think about. What gave him the right to want to kill this vampire? Simple, he killed an innocent. That was reason enough for most people and definitely reason enough for Moka. “There are other ways for you to get your blood vampire that don’t need to involve death.” His argument was perfect. There wasn’t any room for a retort in the angel’s eyes. Quickly his sword came crashing down, slicing through the vampire’s neck like butter.
His wings twitched a little as blood splattered across their pearl white feathers as well as his face, hands and body. He sighed softly and used his shirt to clean the blade of his sword. Most of the blood came off but it would require him to wash and scrub before to long. For some reason, Moka didn’t want to fly now. He wanted to walk and just think to himself. He’d done enough flying and as much as he loved it, a nice walk was in the stars tonight. It didn’t matter what happened to the body, either the police would find it in the morning or hunters would come along. Thankfully the night had already come up and Moka didn’t have to worry about frightening little children with his blood splattered face.
This was supposed to be his job. Protecting the innocents from monsters hiding in the dark. He’d done it for over six hundred years but why did he feel so tired all of a sudden. His feet had taken him all the way to the park. Slowly he sat down on one of the benches near the fountain and closed his eyes. What he wouldn’t give to go see Jae right now. The human boy that always seemed to put a smile on his face. However, that took began to scare him a bit. He couldn’t rely on a human like that. He was there to protect him, even if he wasn’t Jae’s charge. Humans in general were what he needed to keep safe, and he couldn’t let his emotions get in the way of what he was born to do.
From the corner of his eye, Moka saw someone stalking around in the bushes. He stood up and narrowed his eyes. “Who is there?” It was weird hearing someone out so late at night, then again he was out so it too was strange.

[/color][/style] TAGGED: kaikai<3 WORDS: enough jae was pretty confused about a lot of things at the moment. for one, what was going on in his love life. he'd thought he was good with zayden, someone he considered a very good friend, but after meeting moka . . . jae had second thoughts about things with zayden. at some point, the other had realized that jae wasn't very involved, and they decided to go back to just being friends. jae kind of liked it, being back to just friends. he wanted to be invested in one person during a relationship, and that really hadn't been happening before. sure, it was a little awkward, but they hadn't really gotten that far so jae had mostly been able to mentally go back to just friends. yeah, cause that's what they were. just friends.
which lead jae sun back to moka. he didn't know what it was, but he really wanted to talk to him again . . . and more often, for that matter. it had been fun when moka helped him at the shop, especially since he needed something to distract him from being attacked. jae had wondered what might have happened if moka hadn't shown up, but the images that came to mind as a result of that made him shiver. let's just say, he was extremely glad that moka had shown up when he did. and that moka had helped him out with getting the shop ready to open. and for not thinking he was really crazy when jae had seen his sister appear.
now, jae was just making his way to the park. why? he had been having nightmares. it was the usually, really - his sister was messing with him. he didn't know if it was really her, or if she was a ghost or something. if she wasn't a ghost, then jae would have to come to terms that he was crazy; however, he was pretty sure that ghosts didn't exist. letting out a sigh, jae shoved his hands in his pockets, aimlessly walking around the park. he didn't really know what he was doing other than getting fresh air. he saw something move out of the corner of his eye, going into the bushes, and curiosity overcame jae as he went to see what it was. he knelt down and went to see what it was, but he wasn't able to find a thing.
he jumped when he heard a familiar voice speak; at the same time, a rabbit flew from the bush and ran away. jae stood up, saw the voice came from moka, and smiled a bit. " just me, moka. 'm harmless, you know that, " he replied with a little smile, sticking his hands back in his pocket, walking closer to him. another flash of movement was seen out of the corner of his eye, but he ignored that. he knew who - and, to an extent, what - it was.

The angel stared for a while at Jae. He was so surprised to see the human boy out so late that worry began to fill him. Was he alright? No one was around to hurt him? “Jae-kun, it’s late…” He murmured softly and looked down at his sword. He mentally praised himself for hiding his wings but how does one explain a samurai sword? Thankfully he couldn’t see the blood. Or rather he hoped. He wanted to step closer himself, but he couldn’t. He didn’t want the boy asking questions or becoming scared of him. This was his first friend after all. The angel gave a small smile and relaxed a little bit, putting on a playful face even though he was far to tired to act accordingly. “Why isn’t Jae-kun at home?” He tried to scold.
Moka watched the boys eyes trail off to his side and he frowned. Last time his sister’s ghost came before him. Jae looked scared but tried to play it off as though it were nothing, but the angel knew better. Quickly he moved and pulled him close. “My place is close by, want to crash there? It is late.” This protective feeling, it was simply because Jae was a human right? Their meeting was very different from how most people meet. Moka had a strong urge to protect this human more than any other humans. The idea was dangerous and he didn’t want to stray from protecting everyone else as well.
“Or I can just walk you home. Whichever you want to do.” He murmured. It wasn’t because it was late, but also because the vampire he had killed earlier was part of a bigger group. If they found Moka now with Jae there would be trouble. He would have to show himself and he didn’t know if Jae knew about the supernatural world. All evidence was believed to be to the latter, which made the angel happy. Throughout his years whenever people knew about the supernatural world, it seemed like people got hurt so much more. Moka wanted to prevent that, kill anyone who tried to hurt people. And now with a friend like Jae, that idea became so much stronger in his mind.
Grinning a bit and looped his arm through Jae’s. “I could make us something to eat? I mean it’s never to late for curry.” He suggested and glanced over his shoulder for a brief moment. He didn’t hear anything weird so he assumed they would be alright. In truth it would be a lot easier if Jae came back to his place. Moka wasn’t lying when he said it was close. He began to walk with him, they had to move. If anything happened to Jae, not only would the guilt kill the angel but God himself would pluck his wings. Moka wasn’t sure if that was selfish of him or not. Yes, he was worried about the boy on his arm, but he was also worried about losing his wings.

[/color][/style] TAGGED: kaikai<3 WORDS: enough it took a few moments for jae to notice that moka was holding a sword. he raised an eyebrow, wondering why the heck he was holding that while in a park in the middle of the night. his eyes moved up to focus on moka when the other male spoke. " i know. i was just out for a walk . . . clear my head. " he said, stepping a bit closer to moka. something was wrong with the other male, he could just sense it. jae was slightly tense, suspicious of the other male to an extent. he wasn't scared or anything - not yet, at least - but he was . . . wary. sure, jae was starting to feel something for moka, but that didn't mean the other couldn't be a closet weirdo.
" i was having a nightmare . . . and i couldn't fall back asleep, so i decided to take a walk. it's nothing new, really, " he said, trying to reassure the other that it wasn't a big deal. jae dealt with the nightmares. sometimes they were about his sister, other times they were about other things, things he thought to not exist. vampires, werewolves - angels and demons fighting each other. the detail his nightmares got to, too, were horrifying - it was why he needed to get out, walk, clear his head. if he didn't, jae was pretty sure he'd be insane by now. okay, more insane than everyone already thought he would be if he mentioned he saw his sister, but still.
jae blushed a little when moka pulled him close, but tried to look away a bit to hide it. go to moka's? jae knew what most people meant by inviting him over, but he wasn't sure if the other male was the same. he was protective, jae knew, so it could be a purely platonic thing . . . or not. he wouldn't complain if it wasn't. " i'll go to your place if you explain the sword. were you trying to larp out here or something? " he teased, hoping the live action role play reference wasn't lose on moka. he figured it would, but it was kind of cute when he didn't understand a reference to something. he also really hoped moka would explain, because he would have to go sleep at home otherwise - he couldn't just back out on his not - very - threatening threat!
as their arms were looped, jae looked up at moka and smiled. he tried to ignore hyo, but he just - he couldn't. he thought maybe, when moka looked back, the other had seen her, but he apparently hadn't. maybe she moved, maybe he was just crazy. crazy was definitely a possibility, especially now that he was thinking she might actually be a ghost. hallucinations didn't last this long, didn't haunt you as much as his sister had been haunting him. but if ghosts were real, what else was real? jae let out a soft sigh and let his head rest on moka's shoulder slightly. " curry is also good. i think it's about time for a midnight snack, anyway. " he commented as they started walking. " have you been up to anything interesting lately? "

born into this world without a voice or say caught in the spokes of an abandoned brain TAG: JAE/CUPPY OUTFIT: HERE ONE LAST THING: sorry it's long xD It was dark. That was the first thing that came to mind as she strolled into the park, the grass indifferent to her movement when she made her way through it. Literally through it. Rin was invisible to the naked eye, and passed through every solid object she came upon. That's what happened when you were a ghost. It was pretty neat, actually, to run into a table and just simply phase through it instead of looking like a dorky klutz in front of everyone. Then again, no one would see her unless she was solid, so that point was moot. Still, it was something she thoroughly enjoyed, being the relentless optimistic she was.
However, on this particular night, she was brimming with worry, feeling a sense of panic begin to rise up within her. Jae Sun had left home earlier. In the middle of the night. Rin wasn't aware of his reasons for wandering out to this place, but she was keen on keeping him in sight. Thus bringing her back to her concerns. She lost him! Her brother was nowhere to be found within her range of sight, and had she still been alive she'd die again of a heart attack. It was annoying as well as scary when he just went off, though she couldn't blame him. Jae Sun hadn't been sleeping well lately, it was easy to tell. He had always had the habit of walking to clear his head.
The sudden sound of someone speaking caught her attention at once, head snapping to the side to seek its origins. Jae Sun! she thought gleefully, taking off in comfortable run. He was okay! She stopped short, though, gaze landing on the other male. Who the hell is he? The ghost tilted her head to the side, watching with much interest. It seemed as though they knew each other. Was.. Was this that Moka guy she heard Jae Sun talk about from time to time? A bright smile settled onto her lips as she approached, her invisibility still cloaking her from their eyes. She came to another halt on the side, knowing that she was visible to her brother at that very moment. It was quite odd, actually. Rin was incapable of hiding from Jae Sun. Whether it was because they were related, or that her subconscious automatically made her appear to him, she couldn't tell, but whenever she was close by he would glance at her. That meant he saw her, right?
Sometimes she wondered if he could hear her when she wasn't solid. Probably, considering that one time at the family's bakery she scared the living daylights out of him. A feminine giggle bubbled on the girl's lips at that, remembering quite fondly the look of shock on his face. Jae Sun sure is funny. Her brown eyes flashed as she listened to the conversation, gaze fixed on the blood that was all too visible to her. Maybe it wasn't blood. It could be ketchup. Or maybe Moka had been hurt? And there went her thoughts again, traveling a million miles a minute as she stared at the pair.
Suddenly she was aware that Moka had looked at her, probably because Jae Sun kept glancing over where she stood. Her brother could see her, for sure. He was wearing that face again, but it didn't seem like Moka had noticed her. Just in case, she gave a little wave, smiley and giggling and all too entertained by the whole situation. No response. Okay, so he couldn't see her. Too bad. Rin moved closer until she was right beside Jae, peering over his shoulder at the other male. Moka had a pretty face. Light on her feet, though it made no difference since her steps were silent as a mute, she did a quick circle around them, looking this guy up and down with curiosity. She absolutely loved his clothes. And his hair. And everything.
The ghost returned to her brother's side, practically bouncing by now. "Oohhh, he's cute, Jae Sun. I think you should keep him," she purred into his ear, stepping back in case that freaked him out, too. She came around again, unable to stand still. "Much, much better than Zayden." Of course, Rin was only teasing. She had never minded her brother's relationship with Zayden. It was a shame that it didn't get very far, but that was how love worked, yeah? Well, that's what she believed, anyways. "Moka and Jae Sun.. Oh! That has such an adorable ring to it!" she cooed, making it clear that she was already planning an entire wedding in her head. Or maybe it was funeral for the Jayden ship? She didn't even know.
so close your eyes and rest in peace

Jae noticed the sword and it made Moka wince a little bit. How was he going to explain it? Jae was human, and it would be so much better if he never knew about the supernatural world. His mind scrambled to think of a lie that wouldn’t make him seem crazy or weird in any way. As the boy stepped closer, every nerve in Moka’s body told him to step back and away from him. However, the angel smiled weakly and stood his ground. Moving around in a sketchy way wouldn’t be good or would it add to his case really. Moka did look like a weirdo right now. “Jae-kun had a nightmare? Ah, that won’t do at all!” He said with a frown and gently patted the shorter boy’s head.
The sword came up again and Moka felt his cheeks heat up only slightly. As much as he hated lying, he had no other choice. “It’s a family heirloom. I got it cleaned the other day and had to get it today. But, the silly man locked his shop up, so I had to go all the way to his house and it was just a mess.” He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, patting the sheathed sword that was attached to his belt. He hoped the younger boy would believe him. His honey brown eyes traveled to look around them. It wasn’t a matter if he could see anyone, but rather he could feel them. In his stomach he knew they weren’t alone and his instincts to protect kicked in full force. He kept a smile though, hoping it would relax the human boy in his arms. “Jae-kun should keep his eyes on me. It will be less scary that way.” He nodded and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, starting to direct him back to his own place.
Directing him to his apartment, he narrowed his eyes and glared behind him. However, once he turned around to face the human boy, he was smiling again. “Your parents might get worried, no? When we get there you should give them a call.” He added and hummed softly under his breath, walking to a nice section of apartment buildings in the nicer part of the town. This was actually the first time he’d allow someone into his home. Moka began to feel nervous, the lay out of his apartment was redesigned for something he was more comfortable with, he just hoped the boy didn’t find it that strange.
“I’m going to warn you, my place is… different? I had some things put in to make me feel more at home.” He laughed as they finally came his apartment complex. He nodded and brought the boy inside and up a few flights of stairs, finally reaching a door that opened into Moka’s home. It was simple, but clearly was influenced by his nationality. There was a space at the door purely for removing shoes, then a raised pale wooden floor that spanned all around the apartment. He didn’t have a normal kitchen table either, instead he had what looked like a pure black coffee table with purple pillows around it, which was intended to be the dinner table. He removed his shoes and smiled, walking inside more. Thankfully his living room was more normal, a big couch with a nice TV on the wall. Seemingly typical.

[/color][/style] TAGGED: kaikai<3 WORDS: 817 jae tried to ignore what his sister was doing, how she seemed like she wanted moka's attention . . . but it was hard. after all this time, it was hard to get over the fact that he was seeing his dead sister. he gulped when she appeared right next to him, trying his hardest not to turn to look at her. he knew that moka would think he was crazy if he just looked at the blank space and started talking to his long - dead sister. he couldn't help but physically jump, though, when hyo spoke into his ear. he tried to laugh it off, as if it was just a chill from the non-existent wind, but he doubted moka would buy that. he knew the other was smart enough to realize something was very wrong with how the human was acting.
the male smiled a little at the pat, giving it a genuine laugh. moka hadn't stopped worrying about him since they first met - quite literally - so it gave jae the sense that he was safe around moka. yeah, jae did feel calmer around moka, even with hyo uncomfortably close. he nodded in understanding at moka's explanation of the sword, not bringing up any argument; after all, why would he? he didn't suspect moka of using the sword to go out and kill people - or other such things - mainly because of how caring he seemed to always be. after moka had saved jae from something he didn't even want to think about, there was no way the human could think of moka hurting someone. ever.
it will be less scary that way. jae smiled a little at that, making eye contact with moka as the older man wrapped an arm around his shoulders, guiding him. " yeah . . . much less scary. " he murmured, more to himself than anyone else. he always knew when hyo was around, even when he wasn't looking; that's what always made concentrating so hard. he could feel her in that way that people can feel someone staring at them. jae relaxed soon after they started walking, though; he could feel his sister disappear . . . or whatever it was that she did. he still had no idea if she was some type of ghost or if she was just a figment of his imagination.
" hm? oh. they've kind of . . . gotten used to this, i think? let's just say this isn't one of the first times i've wandered off for one reason or another. first time i've had someone with me when i do, though, " jae said with a smile. one of the first times he'd wandered out was just after hyo died, when he was quite a bit younger. his parents freaked out - as they did the first couple of times - but they realized he always made it back home alright. all he'd have to tell his parents, if he did call, was that he was with moka; even though they didn't know the older boy yet, they knew he'd helped jae out before, which meant he couldn't be too bad, right?
jae raised an eyebrow at what moka said as they neared his apartment. " some things? but that's fine. i mean, you live there. you should feel at home at home, " he said with a small laugh. jae's imagination ran wild as he tried to think of what could possibly be in moka's place that made him feel the need to actually warn jae. was it covered in hello kitty decorations? or maybe it had some crazy posters all over? oh, god, what if he had a bunch of nude posters of himself all over? . . . okay, jae couldn't really complain much about that last one. he'd been a little curious about that recently, to be honest, but- okay, jae. just focus on one thing at a time, okay? just walk into his apartment.
walking into the apartment, jae didn't really see what was so different about it. he kicked off his shoes by the door and padded further in, not even thinking as he stepped up and inside. " i have some relatives that are japanese, so their places are, uh . . . well, just like this. but smaller. " he commented. jae faced moka and smiled shyly. " here seems like you, though. i mean, like . . . it reflects you. i guess. " despite the fact that he couldn't manage to figure out how to actually talk, jae meant that as a sincere compliment. he blamed the jumbled wording on still being shaken up from hyo. jae bit his lip as he waited for moka to tell him where it was okay to sit or lay or something; he knew he would feel awkward just going and sitting down somewhere.

[/div] DON'T YOU DARE FORGET. I AM ALL YOU'VE EVER WANTED. TAGGED: CUPPY/JAE WORDS: 521
Moka felt bad. Like he wasn’t doing his job correctly. Jae felt clammy, and cold. Moka wanted to make him relaxed and warm again. Sighing softly, the angel looked around his home before heading into the kitchen. “Jae-kun, would you like rice and curry?” He would do anything to make someone else feel better. It was his job, his forever duty to humans. Moka began to think of ways to get the girl out of his hair. Clearly the ghost was causing him stress so the best way to go about it. Ghosts could be killed by burning and salting their bones, perhaps if he got that information out of Jae, he could remove the ghost causing him trouble forever. The angel grinned and happily walked into the kitchen, pouring water into his rice cooker and starting it up. “It won’t be home made curry, but it’s still good!”
Sadly, Moka hadn’t been home long enough the past few days to actually cook for himself. His meals mostly consisted of easy make curry or noodles as well as unhealthier foods like candies and milkshakes. Boy was the angel in love with milkshakes. Once everything was getting ready he looked at the younger boy and thought, before an idea popped into his head. “Jae-kun should spend the night with me.” He’d suggested it before, he realized, however this time it was more like a demand. His eyes were soft but serious, his whole demeanor seemed to change within that instant. Moka had been fun loving and a bit loud at first but now it seemed as though he were setting an unbreakable law. He hoped Jae didn’t take it the wrong way so he quickly switched things up.
“I’ll worry about you, if you go home now.” He admitted softly and ran a hand through is hair. He shifted in his leather shorts and looked off to the side, trying to figure out just why this boy was causing him so much worry while he could easily pass other humans by. He couldn’t be bothered by his thoughts now. He had to be a good host and make the boy feel as welcome as possible. With a smile he bounced over, resting both his hands on the shorter male’s shoulders. “Relax! Jae-kun feels so tight and stressed.” He purred softly and winked. “I can rub your shoulders for you if you’d like?” Moka thought going back to his old ways of flirting shamelessly would be best.
However, he felt something strange in his stomach. He was expecting the younger boy to deny him with the offer to stay at his apartment for the night as well as the shoulder rub. A part of him wanted him to say yes however. It was weird. The last time he felt like this was when he was alive and was with his master. The urge to please and not be denied by someone so close to him still weighed heavy on his heart. The guardian angel didn’t know what to make of it, so he waited for his answers.
