Beepbeep...beepbeep...beepbeep...
-CRASHING SOUNDS-
"Yeah, that's right die you sucker..." Muttered in a muffled sleepy sounding tone, the words came from the lone occupant of the queen sized bed who was currently sprawled in all directions on top of it. Goose liked mornings. Really he did. He liked how quiet and fresh everything seemed before the rest of the world woke up. What he didn't like though was being woken up so abruptly from such a pleasant thing as sleep. Unfortunately he wasn't one of those lucky people who could just wake up on their on without needing an alarm clock. He'd tried and ended up waking up around noon and wasn't even sure what year it was for a good five minutes. Oddly enough too much sleep didn't seem to mix well with his brain either. So he suffered the annoying beeping or buzzing or even talking of an alarm clock most mornings and sometimes they lived and sometimes they died young.
Stretching slowly he sat up, running a hand through his already haphazardly mussed up hair and made it stand even more on end. Glancing out the window he saw the first rays of the sun already peeking out and the first thought that popped into his mind was he should go for a run. The little burst of excitement at the idea was deflated though as the one that came immediately after was that he didn't really feel like doing it alone today. You didn't have to even know the guy for more than a few hours to figure out he was very much a people person. He liked being with friends and family as much as possible and random strangers were even fair game. Granted he had his moments where he liked a day to himself or took off on his own but for the most part he preferred company.
Normally he would have called up Wyatt or one of his other buddies in the pack but a sudden face popped into his mind and a grin spread across his lips. Wait, yes, he knew exactly who he was going to ask (or rather force) to go running with him. Energized by this sudden burst of inspiration he jumped up from the bed and threw on his usual jogging gear of basketball shorts and a white v-neck t-shirt. Goose never understood the point of investing in some fancy schmancy 'running clothes' when all they were gonna do is get sweaty and probably eventually shrink in the wash. Boy wasn't exactly a pro at doing the laundry even after all the years he'd been on his own. Making a pit stop by the bathroom he tamed his hair looking a little more presentable before quickly downing a bowl of frosted flakes and orange juice. It was a little before six when he left his apartment, not bothering to drive for the relatively short trip he planned on taking.
Not even five minutes later he was standing in front of a super crappy looking building and unlike in tv shows it really was just as crappy on the inside as it was on the outside. Heading inside he made his way without hesitation to door of the apartment he wanted and pulled out the spare key it's occupant had oh so foolishly given him a while back for 'emergencies'. Hahahahahahahaha. Seeing as the whole of the place was basically one large room it was fairly easy to come in guns blazing. "Congratulations, Harlynnie Rae Hope! You've just won a trip around Manuka with one of its most handsome citizens!" The fact that the rest of the building could probably hear him just as clearly bothered him absolutely not at all. In fact not a single bother was even given.
