take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: luka/faded <3 WORDS: 1401 OUTFIT: here Keeping secrets from Attina Adrastos was a pain in the ass. Antala had always known this, since she wasn't a good liar in the first place, but discovered it more and more now that she as pretending to date Weston Patton. Ever since Hermes found out, she had been flighty and anxious, waiting for her mother to call her to her studies for an interrogation until she cracked and spilled it all. Very much unlike her cousin Augustus and her sister Jamie, who were known by the younger generation as the partygoers, she could not pretend to have spent the entire evening reading and studying while in fact she had partied the night away. The mermaid was dropdead scared that Attina or Aquana would find out and there would be severe punishments. she did find it hard to keep secrets from her mother, she was terrified to piss Attina off if she found out, very unlike Jamila, who tried to persuade her younger sister time on time again to sneak out into the night with her. To have fun and party for a change, live a little. But Tala always refused, anxious and scared. Jamie was her best friend, but they were very different. Antala did not want to disappoint her parents and above all did not want to do anything she'd regret later, like making out with a stranger or being sexually assaulted by some horny teenage boy. Plus, she didn't want Jamie to get into trouble too for "corrupting" Antala, just because the younger mermaid could not lie. She was alla bout honesty, sure, but sometimes the brunette wished she could at least make up decent white lies every now and then, but unfortunately that was not the case. Especially not when looking into Attina's dark, observing eyes that clearly analysed every word you said, weighing it on lies. It made the girl stutter, feel anxious and confess anyways. And the punishments were always harsh for dishonesty.
But tonight Antala felt adventurous. Her parents were out of town for at least a week and a half and Aquana would be gone for at least 5 days too, so basically there would be no one around to check up on them, since they were expected to check up on each other, Hermes and her. The inner rebel in Antala had roared victoriously when she had agreed to go out with her cousin Myrinne. Myrinne had been flabbergaster really, because Antala never went out with her. Myrinne, the artist of the family, knew how to party. She wasn't known for her responsibility or long attention span, but made up for that with her extravagant and enthusiastic personality. But her brain capacity was like that of a goldfish. The mermaid wasn't the brightest crayon in the box and Attina was really hard on her because of that. In fact, if you came to think of it, Attina Adrastos had ruined all their lives separately, except for Jamila's. Antala envied her sister for the freedom she had, but at the same time knew she would never be able to live that way. So instead she had chosen to go for the only other possible option: act according to her parents wishes, give in and be the perfect daughter. That's how her mother had ruined her life, by making her try to please her mom forever, giving up her own will, unable to ever meet the expectations. She knew Akakios hated her for her behavior, he who would always feel unworthy and would always distrust women, but he didn't know how hard it was. Aquana was always just as vicious as Attina, trying to find mistakes to turn her siblings in. There was no doubt that the oldest sibling would become just like their mother. In fact Antala felt really bad for her sister, that she probably had no other option than to be this way. That she'd become cold and lonely in a marriage that seemed to be loveless and probably was.
But tonight Antala wouldn't think of any of those things. She'd party and enjoy herself with Myrinne. Breaking free. Right now she as in her cousin's house, getting ready for a hell of a night, as the other mermaid joyfully called it. Myrinne was always so energetic, so high on life (and probably other stuff), it immediately got the party buzz going. Though Antala, now that she was still sober, was slightly worried too. Myrinne used to get rather reckless and she didn't want to be dragged along into illegal activities. However she told herself not to be a wuss and go for it anyways. And now Antala was gawping at herself in the mirror, after her cousin was done dressing her, staring at the unknown creature that gazed right back at her. With the way she was dressed, the mermaid looked at least two (if not three) years older than she was. The tight leather pants, the oversized grey t-shirt that continuously slipped off one shoulder and the black heels with studs were obviously not Antala's property, they were Myrinne's. The black hat on her head was hers, but furthermore the babe that was being her reflection was all Myrinne's work. The daring smokey eyes, the seductive red lips, it wasn't like Antala at all, but it looked hot, she couldn't deny that. They were sitting in her cousin's room, just putting finishing touches to each other's hair: Myrinne's in a sturdy, casual braid and Antala's loose and wavy, when Myrinne's phone bleeped. her cousin looke at the screen, a smile crawling upon her lips and answered it, passing a lit Malboro Light to Antala, who hopelessly gazed at the burning cigarette between her fingers. Luckily Myrinne was too busy talking in her phone (obviously to a boy) to notice how her cousin burst into a fit of coughs as she her first, careful drag of the cancer stick.
Soon however they were on their way to a club the guy Myrinne had been talked to had asked them to go to, Lan enterprise, if Antala had remembered correctly. She was used now to the feeling of smoke in her lungs, but still didn't get why people liked it so much. It was a mystery to her and yet she did not throw the cigarette away. Probably because she felt like such a rebel tonight. She was going out, she looked hot and now she was smoking. The brunette couldn't say she wasn't smug when the bouncer just let them pass without asking for their IDs. The first thing Myrinne did, was throne her cousin along to the bar, where a friend of her happened to be the bartender and was willing to provide them free booze. Now I must tell you that Antala Adrastos cannot hold her liquor. Since she never drank, it took two drinks to get her tipsy, let alone a huge row of shots (four, in Antala's perspective) and three glasses of wine. So yes, the girl was in a rather bubbly place, with pretty lava lights. It was about 2am, when Antala crawled on the bar and started swaying her hips seductively to the cheers of the crowd. Yup, she was far gone by then and unstoppable. A couple of minutes later it dawned to her drunk mind that Myrinne was nowhere to be found. She staggered through the club, trying to find her cousin, but Myrinne had vanished. The girl had just downed another drink (encouraged by a couple of guys, read to take advantage of the drunk naive girl) when a man in about his mid-thirties slipped his hand around her shoulder, guiding her away from the mass, claiming to have seen her friend outside. Little did Antala know that Myrinne had been arrested earlier for having sex in a public place. Sure, sober Antala had definitely noticed the high level of creepiness with this perv, but drunk Antala just followed him like a lost puppy onto the streets, waving enthusiastically at Luka Lahey as she passed him, a big and above all geniune smile vibrating on her red lips. She did not even think of the fact that a dark, deserted alley was a rather odd place to go find her cousin, nope, Antala was all rainbows and ponies. Now this was the cue for someone to save miss happy-go-lucky before things went seriously wrong.

Seated in one of the semi-circle booths that were scattered here and there at random intervals across the floor of the club. It was a lavish place, decorated in a modern style and very much showed off the wealth of those who owned it. No expense had been spared it would seem which made the experience of being here all the more enjoyable. Granted not just anyone could walk in off the street and woe to the person who tried to bribe or force their way past the broad shouldered bouncers standing guard at all the entrances. The fallen angel didn't have that to worry about though seeing as he knew enough people in fairly high places to get in practically wherever he wished in this city. Payed to be a charming, good looking man who knew the value of making a good first impression. Not to mention the fact that he'd saved one or more of their pets over the last three years which likely did more than anything else combined.
Seated on either side of him were two beautiful young women, dressed in the typical club attire of short dresses that hugged their curves in all the right places and exposing just enough skin to attract attention. They were at the slightly giggly stage at this point, having drank enough to loosen up but really not all that drunk yet. The way they were going though Luka was sure they would be soon enough. For his part getting drunk really wasn't all that easy seeing as his body tended to remove the alcohol as quickly as he could get it into his system. There were plenty of perks when it came to being an angel, fallen or no, and healing quickly was one of them, most of the time at least. It was the little things like that though which could be something of a downer. Still it didn't bother him all that much seeing as he knew how to have just as much fun without any liquid courage.
Not that he wasn't downing his fair share of what was being served. He still enjoyed the raw, burning feeling of it going down his throat even if he couldn't feel the after affects of it. Besides who came to a club and didn't drink? It was just another part of the atmosphere and he was more than happy to participate. The red-head and blonde currently snuggled up against him were clearly just as happy about it too, alternating between taking sips of their drinks and making sure they had their hands on this man between them. His arms, chest, face, hair wherever their next giggle fit at something he'd said left those fingers to rest. Harmless flirting to the angel. It was what he excelled at really, where he shined. A sad fact maybe but if he was going to be stuck here on earth for the rest of eternity he might as well enjoy it right? Or at least that was his approach to life since falling from heaven.
Of course he had his moments, mostly when he found himself pacing his apartment alone at night, where he wished there could be someone more permanent in his life. Someone to hold at night and wake up to in the morning, go on long walks with and basically be all sorts of that adorable cute crap that he normally rolled his eyes at. Maybe that's why he didn't spend many nights alone in his apartment. He did spend quite a few nights alone though, mostly out in the city seeing as he didn't need to sleep more than a few hours a week. It wasn't always here or any club really. Sometimes he wandered through Wailman's Park or the train yard, enjoying the quiet while everyone else was asleep. For some reason his thoughts didn't turn quite so meloncholy when he was in those places. Still most often he preferred to be where the people were.
So far this place had fulfilled that desire but then again it always did. It was one of the bigger clubs in the city even though it was harder to get into than say the Club of Daggers. Made it all the more worth it though Luka felt. Still there was your typical club goers here. The pretty boys, the girls practically begging to give it away, the ones here to flirt and maybe make it to third base in the bathrooms and then of course the major lushes. Some simply were too drunk to move and basically flopped onto whatever floor or table was nearest to them. Others, however, grew a little too bold for their own good and most often in a less than classy manner. One man in particular had been making the rounds after having clearly drank his weight in whatever beverage had been the choice of the night. Coping feels and basically making a perveted nusiance of himself. Luka had ignored him after that until about twenty minutes later he walked past their booth again, this time with a surprisingly familiar face beside him.
Antala Adrastos. Who in the hell would have thought to find that girl here of all places? Did she even know how to get drunk? His eyebrows quirked upward in surprised amusement as she grinned in a happy manner at him. Yep, she was most definitely drunk. Following the pair with his eyse as they headed for a secluded exit that he knew led to an alley out back, Luka forced himself to focus back on the women next to him. No, he wasn't getting involved. It wasn't his problem if she decided to go off with some asshole who was hoping to get some. Or so he was trying to convince himself and failing quite miserably thanks to that annoying conscience now rearing its head. Gnawing his bottom lip for a second he let out a heavy sigh. Damn it. Pulling himself away from his two companions, he slid out of the booth. "Been fun, ladies, but I just saw someone I need to go chat with for a moment," They protested loudly but he kept going heading for the door he'd seen little Miss Innocent go out of with Romeo.
Stepping out into the alley, he glanced around quickly. Ah, yep exactly as he suspected. The creep had her pinned up against the wall, giving her what would have been unwanted attention if she'd been sober. A mock look of offense crossed his features then that infamous smirk already tugging at his lips. "Really, Antala, I'm a little hurt right now. You'll go out with this ugly bastard but turn me down?" Granted he hadn't even asked her out although he'd flirted heavily enough he might as well have. The important point was that it was going to get the man's attention and hopefully piss him off long enough to get Antala away from him.

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: luka/faded <3 WORDS: 1198 OUTFIT: here There was a reason miss Adrastos hardly ever went out really. And most of it was indeed the fact that she couldn't hold her liquor like shit, and also that she didn't like how guys continued to grind against her like she was some sort of nasty-looking stripper or something. I mean, sure, she was wearing leather pants, but those were just details. She thought she looked pretty nice in them, even if it felt like her legs had been wrapped around by plastic one too many times so it was difficult to walk, but she managed. The heels were not the problem, Antala knew how to walk on heels from various balls and social events her mother organized to find her a suitable husband. Yuck. She was glad that now she had Weston, her friend who was so sweet to help with all of this, and pretend to be her boyfriend even with all the risks it had for when/if they would get caught. It gnawed away at her because secretly she felt guilty she made him do this, but on the other hand, the freedom felt so good. It felt amazing to not be pestered about handsome princes from other underwater communities, or friends of her sister's fiancée, it felt so much better. They had been leaving her alone for a bit and now that both her parents and Aquana were out of time, she was going to take risks and enjoy her freedom for as long as she could. Though Myrinne might not have been the smartest choice for her to go with, knowing Myrinne, Jamie at least knew how to take care of her innocent sister, while Myrinne was such a scatterbrain that she just went to party and forgot somewhere along the road, but Antala would make sure she didn't lose her cousin. Or so she thought.
She had spotted Luka somewhere earlier during the night, but had decided to just ignore his existence, and downed a couple more shots to fend his appearance out of her mind, because this really was no fun anymore. She never had such a hard time banning anyone from her thoughts, especially not rude and aggravating bad boys like that guy. Plus it was of no use since he would never go for a girl like her and she'd never let him either. So she'd just have to woman up and get him out. And see, the more alcohol she indulged, the better it went. She was dancing with Myrinne, dancing with guys which she didn't even seem to notice until they grabbed her somewhere and then she didn't know how fast to step aside. She hadn't been that drunk yet back then and touching was a no no. The brunette was still a princess of Atlantica, and not every horny little teenager got to put his filthy paws on her. She really didn't want any filthy paws on her, but the more she drank, the more she forgot about any of her restraints and her defenses. Which was not good at all. See, Antala without her defenses showed her naive side, and that was dangerous with guys all around trying to take advantage of her. But Tala didn't notice, Tala was dancing, on the bar, off the bar, swaying with her hips like she did it every day, and surprisingly not even failing that bad, even though she never danced nor wore leather pants. She was on top of the world, she had fun. How she managed to dodge the lips of boys trying to kiss her or feel her up, it was a miracle, but somehow she managed to do that without having to say no because I'm fairly sure Antala didn't even know what she was saying no to or what was happening in the first place.
And then Myrinne was suddenly missing. Which wasn't something new, since Myrinne always did that, but Tala had promised herself to not lose her. Usually she went with Jamie and Myrinne when she went out sporadically, and they could find their cousin together, but now it was just alone Antala. And she was a drunk mermaid, a naive and virgin mermaid, so this was not good. Not good at all. The girl felt all giddy still and of course couldn't see how serious her situation was, since if she did, there wouldn't be a serious and dangerous situation, at least not as bad. But now she was skipping through the club, trying to find her sister she couldn't find, not in the bathrooms, at the bar, at any of the stories in the club, Myrinne was nowhere to be found. And then there he was, Prince Charming (in a way more ugly form), saving the damsel in distress, telling her he knew where her sister was. Sure, sober Antala would have looked at him suspiciously and told him to go get her for her, but drunk Antala did not think about any of it, she just followed him into the cool midnight sky, which felt fresh on her skin and made her shiver a bit. She gazed around to see her sister, but didn't see her at all. "Myrinneeee, Myrinne where are youuuuu?!" The mermaid called out in her singsong voice, before letting out a squeak as she was pressed against the wall, a voice hissing stuff in her ear she couldn't comprehend, nor did she really know how to react to any of it. Her mind was all blurry and the alarm bells were numbed or silenced by whatever fog there was in her head. She just kept gazing around to see her cousin, because he promised he would take her to her cousin.
And then suddenly there was another voice that made the guy look up, disturbed or something, but Antala chuckled, pointing at the new person. "Hi, Luka, hi! I lost my cousin, and he said he had found her, but I see no cousin, so yeah, I think she's hiding. Myrinneeeeeee!" Obviously Antala Adrastos was beyond drunk, chuckling as if this was all the biggest joke in the universe. Suddenly the guy had found his voice again as Antala slipped away from his grip, addressing Luka. "Hey dude, go find your own girl and leave us alone. We were just having some fun. I didn't force her to do anything, so just fuck off." The mermaid herself was deaf for his words, observing Luka's face with upmost interest. "Did you get a new face? You look way more handsome like this." She said with a bright grin, momentarily forgetting the fact that she thought he was an annoying asshole, before turning back to the guy who was supposed to find her cousin. She just wanted to find her cousin. The guy grabbed her in a steel grip again to tug her away from Luka, further down the alley, but halfway Tala turned her head, calling back at him. "Luka, will you help me find her? Hey, mister, stop! I need to ask my friend to-" but her sentence got cut off as her "prince" just kept on tugging her along, further into the darkness.

[style=width: 400px; height: 3px; background-color: #2d2030; margin-bottom: 5px] [/style] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- y o u r e i n t h e d a n g e r z o n e b a b y [/style][style=font-family: 'Verdana';background-color: #d3ccc6; width: 400px; font-size: 9px; color: #515453; text-align: left;] This was ridiculous really. He should be back inside that club sitting between two gorgeous women who were obviously very much into him and not shy about showing it. That was what he'd gone there for after all, let loose and enjoy himself. Not play the knight in shining armour. It wasn't as if he hadn't sat and watched this sort of thing happen before after all. Pretty girl wandering off with a less than stellar looking character out the back exit you knew what was going to happen. Did he approve of it? Not necessarily but neither was he going to get involved either. That was how you got yourself in sticky situations and he had no desire to find himself in anything of that sort. You just turned a blind eye and pretended like you hadn't seen it like everyone else. It was easier that way ya know?
So why he couldn't just do that this time and carry on with his enjoyable evening like usual he really had no idea. Maybe it was because he actually knew this girl, not overly well mind you, but well enough to know she was not the kind of girl who went out often enough to realize what was happening just then. Not to mention drunk off her ass to the point that even if she had gone out often she wouldn't likely realize what was going on anyway. And if he was going to be really honest with himself there was the fact that despite what he might have told himself since then he actually had found himself really liking the girl after their little conversation in the park. It was rare that a girl remained in his head so long after he had met them with little chance of seeing them again and honestly he wasn't sure whether that annoyed him or intrigued him.
She wasn't like most of the girls he gravitated too you see. Wasn't like the girls back in the club who were very free and open about what they wanted from him. No Miss Antala was rather the opposite it would seem and therefore not usually someone who would have kept his attention for very long at all. Somehow though she had managed to stay tucked away in his head and every so often would float around to the front of his thoughts. Seeing her here at the bar of all places had been a bit of surprise as well as the outfit she was wearing although he wasn't necessarily complaining about that latter bit. So deep down there was really no way he would have been able to actually stay there while knowing what was likely happening outside in the alley.
Now that he was there though he wasn't quite sure what plan of action to follow. His smart mouth was already working well though and honestly he was rather good at improvising in most situations. This one wasn't likely to be any exception. Her reaction to his appearance was a bit amusing and he had to credit the fact she was drunk to her sudden friendliness towards him. At least she knew who he was, even remembered his name despite her inebriated state. Aiming an amused smile at her he sauntered a little closer. "Oh did he now? How nice of him," Smirking at the nasty looking thug next to her, Luka could practically see the smoke starting to come out of the man's ears. "Hmm, yeah see I'd like to let you two have your fun I really would but see my dog kind of called dibs on her and he doesn't like to share you see," Shrugging a bit in a 'what ya gonna do about it?' manner, he chuckled a bit at Tala's comment about him looking more handsome this time around. "Amazing stuff alcohol," He returned with a knowing look.
By this point the man holding onto her was very much done with this interruption and was starting to drag her away again. Small as she was next to him Tala could do very little to stop it even if she had been completely sober and tried to fight back. She did manage to turn back a bit and ask Luka if he'd help her find her cousin or at least she tried to do so before the man jerked her further along into the alley with him. Giving a deep sigh, Luka rolled his eyes. He was going to regret this he knew it. Following the pair he caught up with them quickly enough and grabbing the man's shoulder he grimaced a bit before the man turned his head around in irritation and without a word slugged him as hard as he could. It was enough to knock the guy back a couple of steps and he let go of his grip on Antala too which gave Luka time to grab her by the waist and spin her around to face the way they had just come from. "Time to go, sweetheart!" He urged, pushing her ahead of him in an attempt to get away from her 'friend' before he could really gather himself together and retaliate.

take me back to your bed I love you so much that it hurts my head. Say, I don't mind you under my skin. I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in. TAGGED: luka/faded <3 WORDS: 1043 OUTFIT: here Maybe this was Antala finally being able to live and let die, to just not give a damn about anything for a night and let go, even if it totally wasn't who she was and how she operated. Antala was that girl who stayed walking in line, who was obedient and a follower, who was afraid to leave her secure bubble that her parents had made up for her. She never had to decide anything for herself, was never in danger because her parents protected her and with that, standing on her own feet had become a very frightening subject, even if it would mean she'd get more time to be who she wanted to be, to love who she wanted to love, hell to even allow herself to fall in love the way she knew she wanted to. But that wasn't in her future, she was meant to be arranged to be married to a suitable match that she didn't love. That was what life had in store for her, and she also knew that she'd never be kissed before that happened, that she'd never have sex with someone she loved, and she was dreading it. The brunette was dreading it so much that she had convinced one of her best friends to pretend to date her in front of her family, because that way they'd hopefully get off her back about everything, getting married, finding a decent suitor, all of that. She didn't want it, she didn't need it, it wasn't part of who she was and who she wanted to be. But Antala didn't interfere, much like she never did. She just followed her parents rules and tried to be a good daughter, to just do what they told her to do and nothing more, nothing less. To be more like Aquana, who seemed perfectly fit within their family, unlike Jamie and Akakios and her.
But tonight Antala didn't want to fit in, tonight was the night in which she'd let go completely, in which she'd find fun and though she didn't strive to get drunk, here she was, drunk off her ass anyways. And she was having the time of her life, just dancing and goofing off, having fun with Myrinne like she had never had any fun before, because Tala didn't do this sort of fun. Even seeing that obnoxious Luka Lahey didn't bother her, because he looked insanely handsome tonight, and she was too far gone to correct herself for those inappropriate thoughts. She didn't like Luka, he was an asshole and a bad boy and nothing but trouble. And she hadn't liked their little banter back and forth and she hadn't thought about him ever since they met that day. Not once, none at all. Only the girl wasn't even able to fool herself with those thoughts, because she knew he had been there in the back of her head, whispering things in her ear and making her argue with herself as she told herself that he shouldn't even be there at all. He wasn't for her, and she didn't want him either, and this was not happening to her. He just confused her, that was all. Normally her defenses of snarky sass pushed the guys that she had an attraction to away, it always worked (the only exception was Damon, but Antala had learned to not even take Damon seriously anymore), but with this boy it just hadn't and it drove her crazy because now she was thinking about him all the time, and resisting against it just as much and with that the battles inside her head often turned into bloodbaths.
But not now as she was outside with a man she'd find disgustingly indecent when she'd be sober, but right now drunk Tala merely wanted to find her missing cousin (who had been arrested which Antala didn't know), and he was going to help her. Why he was pressing her against the wall was beyond her, because they weren't going to find her cousin that way, but just as she was about to comment on all of that, Luka had appeared and she had wriggled herself from the man's grip to go to Luka, her eyes sparkling like giant ass stars as she was just so bubbly and excited her own grandma wouldn't even have recognized her. "Ooooooh, Captain! How is he doing? I love that dog." Antala chimed as Luka mentioned his dog, her last phrase about loving the dog aimed at the nasty-looking tramp who had his eyes on her, something which Antala was still oblivious for. Luka's next comment about alcohol completely flew over her head and the next moment she was being tugged along by a very annoyed man who was ready to move on from all this bullshit, making her call out at the other boy about finding her cousin. What happened next was too fast for the mermaid to comprehend in her inebriated state, but suddenly her captivator let her go and Luka was pushing her into the other direction, away from the party. "Waaaait, I'm not done partying yet, I want to find my cousin! Myrinneeeee?!" Tala called out, resisting against Luka as he continued to get her away from the shabby man, not that she knew that. He still had to push her forward as they got onto the main road again. "Let me gooo, I wanna go back and party! Hey. Hey sir! Sir help me, this man is kidnapping me! He doesn't want to let me party!" She cried out at some poor innocent old man who passed by them and could only shake his head at drunk teens who had no control over themselves. Finally the girl gave up, letting out a sigh, muttering under her breath about how Luka was a partypooper, and that she was having so much fun. Honestly she was being a brat, but it seemed as if while being drunk, she had more charm than she had while being sober, so that was something. "Oh, look, my house! We found it, Luka, we did!" The girl squealed as they arrived in her street, pointing excitedly at the house as if it would suddenly get wings and fly away.
