show them what you do with me
when everyone around here knows better
Kenna was a in a vile mood. Not that she usually wasn't was, but this one of those days that she was beyond pissed. She wasn't exactly her usual raging self, that would have been too easy, and it was usually the solution to everything anyway. No, this level of anger was out of her control, torn between outrage and despair, that all she could do was constantly curse herself and fume in silence. The anger was there, but there was no proper outlet to channel it to. She was so pissed that she was actually trembling a little as she strolled down the highstreet, hands shoved in pockets while her mind worked furiously on what to do. Torn between finding an outlet to channel her rage to, or find something to relieve her stress. It was tiring being pissed, and Kenna honestly was feeling it, even if she was in a bad mood pretty much most of the time. Bitchiness did not leave her tired, but this wasn't bitchiness, this was just cold, raw anger that the mermaid could feel eating away inside her.
The fallout with Spencer had left her feeling terrible, and the brunette had kicked herself multiple times for it. She could not say that she really regretted indulging herself on coke again, but what she did regret was burning a hole in the relationship she had with her brother. See, Kenna did not really have many close friends, and her family was also one of the few things that she really held dear to her, even if she barely showed it. To put such a mark on the relationship she had with Spencer was almost sacrilegious on her part, and Kenna hated herself for it. She didn't like disappointing him, but being the sucker she was for drugs and alcohol, she had given in to temptation as usual. It was a shame though, she had been sober for months. But like hell was she going back to rehabilitation, that shit was over for her. Her choice had been made, and she had Ryland to back her up. Which was a damn good thing because she had no idea what to do without her best friend.
Feeling that Spencer could wait, and that she could do nothing about it since that schmuck decided to up and vanish after revealing his extra vampire shit, Kenna wondered if she should now go for a burger. Her brother's hybridness had freaked the fuck out of her, but after that, she was pissed at him for vanishing. When he got back, provided that he did, he was going to have a hell lot of explaining to do along with some Kenna rage to endure. If he didn't, well, she was going to hunt his ass down. That is, if she did not get killed in the process, the brunette thought wryly. Grimacing at the thought of being ripped apart by her own sibling, she pushed the thought out of her mind and analyzed her surroundings, hoping to find something that would distract her and pass the time.
And then she saw it, a familiar, dark blocky head. Kenna frowned, her brows furrowing, all thoughts of the other Zimmerman sibling flying from her head. She had not seen that head in ages. In fact, she could not even remember the last time she did, and even took a minute to remember his name. A small grin popping up on her features when she finally did, she stomped over so that she was only mere inches from his back. There was no way that she was going to forget someone with such an Indian-ish name, and who also had the kindness to help her when she fell that day. "Hey!" she barked in his ear, punching his back, not enough to break his spine, but hard enough for him to cringe. "If it isn't ah, oh, Hux Huxley!" said Kenna mockingly, but her tone was friendly, or as close to friendliness the mermaid could actually get.
