[style=width:400px; height:200px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/zHbDtFg.png);] THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE GHOST YOU DON'T
Victoria liked the whole process of the setting up. Not many people paid attention to her, so she was able to work in peace. She laid down her guitar case on the ground, opening it up a little bit since this was where the money would go. The guitar that the girl had had been with her since she was thirteen, and her first foster family gave it to her as something to take her mind off the horrible things that happened when she was younger. Even though Vicky didn't appreciate much of her foster homes, she appreciated the gift. She had learned how to play it on her own, through books, and eventually through the internet. She supposed that it was easier, because Harmony didn't seem to mind that. And the girl minded a lot. She shook her head as her long fingers moved to pick up her guitar, Harmony being in the corner of her eyesight, a constant thing. The doctors told her that she wasn't real. That when Victoria spoke to her, and Harmony spoke back that it was in her imagination. They were right, but it didn't seem like they were. Not to Victoria, not when she was standing on the pavement of a busy street and she could see the grinning girl sitting beside her on the curb. She has learned to be careful about when they spoke, she had to show the world that she was okay. Which was why she did the whole street singing thing. It made her feel a ton better, it took her mind to different places. The dark haired girl stood up then, casting her violet eyes down to the strings of the guitar, testing them tentatively, as if the touch was more a caress than anything else. The violet eyes has been something she's seen around Manuka, but she had never asked if they mean anything. A lot of times, Victoria had thought about maybe getting brown contacts, as no other colour would look as well with her complexion, but she liked the violet. When she looked in the mirror, and saw a stray bruise from a grip too hard, she would glance up to the violet colour of her eyes and think that ... there's something better for her. That it means something. Of course, girls like her hold onto hope a lot. But you had to hope. She didn't really want to go back to being the robotic Vicky when she was twelve, she was alive now, controlling what was the reality everyone else assumed and what was real to her. There was a smile on her full lips as she tuned the instrument that she loved so much. She didn't have speakers, but she didn't think she needed them. She wasn't really doing this for anyone, she wasn't really doing this for money either, it was because she loved it really, and if there's money in doing something she loved, no matter how small, she would embrace it. Vicky cast a look to the side, upon Harmony, the girl with the golden hair who was as clear as day as anyone else around her. She quirked her a smile before strumming out a melody. Slow at first, before actually becoming chords that could create a song. Victoria barely writes music, but sometimes she can concentrate enough to, and this was one of her own creations. It was light hearted really, no dark lyrics, nothing to suggest that there was something off about her, and that is the illusion that she dreamed of giving off all the time. A few moments later, Victoria added her voice, singing the words which she had put on a page not so long ago. She was a good singer, she could captivate an audience, and when a little boy skipped in front of her and started to dance, she grinned wider, making sure her attention was onto him. It was common to have street performers like her, so there wasn't really a crowd, just busy people passing by and sometimes putting money in her guitar case. The little boy was laughing, and the musical sound of Victoria singing was only highlighted by her wide smile, someone who looked like they loved life. She seemed normal, and that is what anyone ever had told her to be. It was still cold out, so she had decided to wear her jacket, and warm boots. There were a few rays of sunshine, but there was a bit of a harsh wind that blew her almost black hair in all directions, but she didn't mind it so much. She didn't need to see to be able to play and sing, she knew all this off by heart. It was a part of her life as much as Harmony was. The music, it was in her veins, it made her happier, and it went along well with her medication. She didn't know if she ever hoped to play on a big stage. Maybe. It would be nice, to have the crowd cheering her on, but Victoria also knew that she couldn't handle the pressure, and pressure was the biggest trigger for her episodes. She figured that was why it has been happening more and more at home, because Marco would get drunk and shit would go down, frighting and arguing, and she'd wake up having a nightmare or fantasy leaking into reality and she'd have a panic attack. Vicky refused to think about that, not when she was having such a good time with her guitar. She winked at the little boy when he put some money into her guitar case, and when she dong was done, she went straight into another. She didn't mind some of the pitying looks that were given to her, she has learned to be very oblivious to the world around her. But then, after a few songs, she had to stop, as a couple of this droplets of rain fell onto her dark complexion, and she closed her eyes, a smile on her lips as she upturned her face up to the sky, inviting the cool drops to land on her skin. Everything about today felt regular. The way he got out of his bad without a hangover, the way Grace was already up but Jett and Lewis would not be showing their faces till the end of mankind, there was nothing that suggested today would be anything out of the ordinary. Though on the other hand, when was Teddy's life ever out of the ordinary? It had been quite a lot of times, in his past, yeah, but in the present? He was glad his life was finally smooth now, that he wasn't into as much drama as he used to be. The vampire loved the quiet life, without the drama, just living, breathing, making music. It was all that mattered, all that was important. Well that, and Grace ofcourse. so he glid out of his bed and brushed a hand through his thick brown locks, stumbling to the kitchent to get some coffee, lighting a cigarette on the way. he needed to wake up with his morning caffeine and and nicotine, or he would be cranky all day. not that you'd notice, teddy was pretty good in hiding whatever was bothering him, he'd just be a little off. strolling through the apartment with the giant ass mug filled with his favorite black fluid, the vampire slowly felt himself waking up from his drowsiness and actually open his eyes to the world again, instead of the misty blur it had been after he had just woken up.
things had been pretty normal since he slept with grace, his heart had been tamed again and he had realized that he had been chasing a fantasy, that had never been able to come true. he was that guy who fell head over heels in love at first sight, but at first sight you never knew how someone really was. he had become grace's best friend and he had always hoped and prayed and wasted his time on hoping there would be more, ever would be more, ignoring the feeling that something about it just wasn't right. until they had given it a shot, tried to make each other happy in that way, and had failed utterly. sure, he loved her, he did, but the moment the kiss went down, something felt wrong. off. there weren't as much feelings as he had thought there would be and though the sex had been good, especially for someone who hadn't had sex in such a long time as teddy had (he wasn't the guy to sleep around, which led to serious withdrawals in that departement), it hadn't felt right. for neither of them. teddy had discovered that the girl he had thought he loved more than anything in life, had just been him trying to fool himself that he could love again, even after what tiana had done. he had tried t put one girl on a pedestal so high that he'd never be able to reach her, that he'd never get her and thus would forever be fawning over a girl that was unreachable and therefore not able to open up to those who were within his reach.
it was what tiana had done to him when she had betrayed him, like so many people did. As he got dressed into his casual attire of a black pair of jeans, a v-neck sweater and his grey beanie, strapping his rather colorful guitar over his shoulder, teddy made his way out of his house, his mind clouded with visions of the past. vision of a girl with dark features, black hair and a dark skin, darkbrown eyes and darkred lips. with a smile that seemed to light up like a thousand suns. tiana, his perfect little queen of blues, who taught him so much about everything he had needed to know in life. How to feel music, how to turn it into colours, shapes, touches, how to make it real. Like you were not just playing some random chords and singing lyrics on it. No, like it actually meant something. Like it touched you and therefore it touched the audience. before tiana he had been good, he had been talented especially for a white guy who did not belong in the culture of blues back then. he had been right there to witness the beginnings of it all and he had wanted to learn so badly. and techniquewise he had always been sublime. extraordinary. but something was always missing. until he met tiana. his black princess had showed him how to be formidable, how to excel people and what it was that made certain musicians stand out and be better than others. And he had loved her, damn how he had loved her and the music they made. it was love, passion, it was everything all combined. again for theo it had been love at first sight from the moment he saw her playing, from the moment he heard her smokey, seductive voice. and once again that first sight had deceived him, fooled him and lead him to something that wasn't real. tiana had deceived him, betrayed him and made him seem like the monster he had never been.
he felt his hands clench into fists and immediately unclenched them again, tucking a cigarette between his lips to get a grip on himself again. tiana had ripped a hole in his heart that somehow had never been truly repaired and made teddy's trust in people less and less. because for someone who had been around for 150 years, mostly what people had done was abuse him, take advantage of him or claim he was a monster, when all he wanted was to be free of drama and just live his life. he was a vegetarian vampire for god's sake and a fucking pacifist, how much more innocent could one get? but for some reason people did not quite agree with that, so he'd just stay silent about what he was, and since his best friends and those he was closest too knew he was a vampire or were vegetarian vampires themselves, like his best friends, there wasn't anybody to confess it to really. hunters were annoying, and he was glad that elizabeth jeggard had finally decided to leave him alone, since he was pretty damn harmless. He was just dragging his cigarette, stuck in his thoughts when suddenly he stopped in his tracks, staring at a woman right in from of him, who was making music. like with tiana it was her voice that drew him in, and he felt himself being hit with the familiar force he always felt. he had to get to know her. he noticed one of her chords was off, or well, a power chord would make it sound better. he just was looking for a reason to talk to her. "Y'know, if you play a C7 chord on that last syllable, it will sound better." he said with a geniune, open smile on his friendly face as he slowly approached the girl. she was fascinating really, there was something about her that intruiged him. it really did. "Oh, i'm sorry. My name is Teddy. Who are you?" OUTFIT: HERE WORDS: 1214 NOTES HEART DON'T FAIL ME NOW [/style]

[style=width:400px; height:200px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/zHbDtFg.png);] THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE GHOST YOU DON'T
The rain fell softly, it clung to her hair and to her skin, to her guitar which she had to hide now because she didn't want it to get damaged. She loved her guitar, it was the only thing that kept her even a little sane. She watched, the girl in her her mind dance and twirl in the rain, and Victoria had to smile. She wanted to tell her to stop being so silly, but by now she knew that if she spoke to Harmony, that she'd be looked at strangely, whereas now Victoria just looked really happy. Most of the time she wasn't. In this moment there was a radiance about her, Harmony dancing and messing about, and she had just been singing like she loved to do so much, but this was a snapshot. One out of millions. This morning she had been covering a bruise on her hip, concealer the same shade as the rest of her skin, hidden under flowery skinny jeans and a top that covered her stomach. Marco would approve of this attire. Not too revealing so that other men couldn't eye her inappropriately. The suppression she faced was only when she was with him. She had some freedom, and therefore her smile never faltered as someone approached her, a male voice following it. Her violet eyes blinked at his words, and Harmony was looking at them curiously. Victoria could feel the corners of her mind flickering, trying to determine whether this was someone that could see Harmony or if she needed to be careful. All of this thought process was in her mind, and she licked her full lower lip as he commented about what she was doing wrong in her singing. That caused a short laugh out of her lips as she looked at the man. Beautiful, shaggy, sandy brown hair, stubble on his cheeks, blue eyes that were as deep as the oceans, and Harmony giggled at that because she knew exactly what Vicky was thinking. "C7 you say ... not sure my voice is capable of that, but I'll keep it in mind, stranger." He pursed her lips, amusement flickering over her features as she cocked her head. "Though it seems rather peculiar to me that if you want to get into a musician's good graces, you're pointing out their faults. A girl might get offended." Vicky chuckled lightly, clearly teasing because there was no offence taken in advice from someone who knew their music. The drizzle of rain was sticking her fringe to her forehead, and he moved a slender hand to make sure she was able to see as the 'stranger' introduced himself. "Teddy. You look like a Teddy. Very cuddly." She mused and grinned as Harmony laughed at her words, completely agreeing with her as her the figment of her imagination was eyeing this boy so blatantly. He couldn't see her. She now knew that she couldn't mention that there was someone hanging about her. "Though, a piece of advice right back at you, handsome, that you could show your gentlemanliness and help a girl with her guitar." She teased a little as she shut the case, knowing that it would start raining harder at any moment and they would get drenched, completely. The thought didn't bother Victoria too much, it was more so that she didn't want any damage to her instrument because she knew she'd get stick from Marco. Without thinking, Victoria simply grabbed Teddy by the hand. She knew she hadn't introduced herself yet, but it didn't matter because she was tugging him along with her as she headed for the nearest shelter, a cafe just across the road and she was giggling because it was raining and she was getting drenched, and so was he, and it was just so funny. Her almost black hair stuck to her face and neck, and she let go of his fingers once inside the warm, pleasantly smelling room, a little breathless from running in her boots. Goodness, she chose a good day to wear a white top. Her smile was bright as she looked back up to the tall stranger now that she didn't need to worry about the rain, though she could feel it dripping under clothes and down her neck. "Victoria. But you can call me Vicky or anything you like." She introduced herself so freely. No one would be able to tell that her home life wasn't much good, that her boyfriend got drunk and blamed her for the post traumatic illness the acquired. Right now, she was laughing. "Come on, let me buy you a coffee. Or tea. Or whatever pretty men like you drink. Then we can talk music." She said, the compliments coming easy, but they were just sweet little teases that slipped out with almost anyone she spoke with. He wasn't some sort of toy people could fool around with whenever they wanted to, and then leave him behind like he was in Toy Story without a happy ending. That was what he felt like sometimes, an old used toy that people didn't want anymore. Sometimes he just wondered whether he really was that naive and stupid to always believe the good in people or whether he just had a heart that was too kind for this world to survive in because people always took advantage of it. He always wanted to believe that everybody was good and even if he knew they weren't, who was he to not give them a chance right? It was stupid, that was what he had learned. He had to be more careful with people and not trust them anymore. Teddy wasn't going to trust anybody anymore, unless they proved to him they were trustworthy, like the friends he did have had. Dorian, Grace, even Lewis though he was quite an obnoxious bastard, he was still Teddy's best friend and alter ego, and maybe in that way they complemented each other more than anything. Theo kept Lewis grounded and out of severe trouble while Lewis brought Theo more out there and kept him away from treacherous bastards as much as he could, which Lewis knew quite much about because he was one himself to everybody but his housemates.
When Teddy thought of Grace, he had a bit of mixed feelings about it, but also peace. With Grace he had tried to make things work, but it hadn't worked, and it made him question every feeling he had ever had for her. Had it all been real, had he been chasing a fairy tale because he knew it would never come true? The surprise of Grace actually sleeping with him or even kissing him was something he had never expected to happen, never at all, and maybe that was why he had always thought he loved her, because he knew he could never get her. He kept thinking that maybe his soulmate was lost, that he had ruined it for himself by telling her he was a vampire, or by not trying hard enough to convince her he wasn't a bad guy. Because Teddy really wasn't a bad guy, it only took about a second to realize that. sometimes he just felt lost and eternity felt too long to him, pressing too hard on him. the vampire had never even wanted to be like this, his own sister had made him be what he is now, and though he was a vegetarian now, it still didn't please him at all. but the rain on his skin pulled his thoughts from those things as teddy swiftly hoisted his guitar back into the cover so it wouldn't get damaged, because his guitar was the most precious thing to him in the world. it was old, very old, people would be astonished to see how old it really was, but it had been restored time on time again and for some reason had never truly died. the girl in front of him was dancing and smiling, and somehow it made his heavy heart feel a little lighter. teddy wasn't used to the cloudy, stormy thoughts he had these days, he was always the optimist, the happy one, but lately it felt like existence was pressing way too hard on him. teddy was just tired.
he smiled amusedly as the girl commented on whether or not she could sing that, while c7 was a chord for on her guitar. it was actually a power chord, one of the main blues things that made his skin crawl in pleasure just by the sound of it. power chords were amazing to create an atmosphere, and it was truly enchanting. likewise she was enchanting, which was why he had suggested the chord to her. her joy and bright smile made him feel a little lighter himself and brought a smile upon his face like only grace and tiana had truly managed to do when he was in his sulking moods like today. teddy was one to believe in love at first sight, even if he knew how horribly unrequited and one-sided it could be at times, but he definitely believed in it, and looking at this girl he felt some strange sort of feeling he had always felt when he had been around grace, though now he knew how to be careful about that. but maybe it was good to just love someone you couldn't get, maybe it was better than being in an actual relationship, where people could betray and hurt you the way teddy always got betrayed and hurt. "you didn't peg me as the type to get insulted, so i thought if i could improve your song, why not do you the favor?" teddy said with a wink, an amused smile now evident on his handsome face, even if most people did not even notice that his face was rather attractive anymore because he was such a sweet teddy bear and that feature alone immediately kicked him into the friendzone. girls, he would never get them.
her joy was infectious and teddy found his own smile widening as she just smiled at him, wondering why her own laughs were all it took for him to feel a little happier. the rain was dripping on his head down and he was glad for his guitar cover, eyeing the girl's guitar because she didn't have one and soon her guitar would be ruined. "oh, i always help damsels in music distress, if they give me the chance." he said with a teasing grin, brushing a hand through his wet hair and looking down on the beautiful stranger, who immediately pointed out his problem. he already looked like a teddy. girls wanted to cuddle with him and tell him their secrets, because they thought of him as a teddy bear, not as a guy you could love. damn, there went the sulky thought again, get them out. he was just going to enjoy the company of this refreshingly joyful and beautiful stranger, even if he sensed there was something off about her, there was something off about him too, there was something off about everybody here, so he wasn't going to pay attention to it, not now, not today. his heart made some sort of skip when she took his hand and tugged him along, her giggling again causing the smile to widen on his face. how could one be so joyful, smiling so much? as if life had never done anything wrong to her, but teddy knew better than to believe that. those with the biggest smiles often have the crappiest lives, he had learned. he was part of that stigma. he noticed the drench white top for a moment, but immediately shot his eyes back up to her face, because even though he was a guy and couldn't help but notice, theodore was not a pervert, in fact, he was a gentleman and found her pretty face far more interesting than her boobs. maybe another reason why people tended to think he was gay. "nice to meet you, vicky, but i wouldn't be a gentleman, if i allowed you to get me a drink. so what do pretty girls like you drink?" he asked, placing his guitar on the empty chair at the table he was standing besides, looking down on her while awaiting her answer. "and then i promise i'll show you what i mean with the c7." he added with a wink, waiting for her to sit down so he could get her a drink. after all, he insisted on being a gentleman at all times.

[style=width:400px; height:200px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/zHbDtFg.png);] THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE GHOST YOU DON'T
Sometimes it was hard for Victoria to look on the bright side of life. Only when she saw golden curls and sunshine did she really ever feel optimistic, and then she thought about Marco. Wasn’t going home to him supposed to feel safe? Wasn’t it supposed to feel like the best thing in the world? To come home to such a beautiful man who loved her, and that made her heart sink, because Victoria for a long time, had realised that he fell out of love with her when she told him about her schizophrenia. But she didn’t understand why, when her violet eyes were encased in a glassy sheath of tears as blue marked her skin, why he didn’t let her go. He knew how bad life had been for her, yet there was no escape for her. Maybe Marco wanted to feel powerful, but all Victoria wanted was to go home and be greeted by a smile and kisses, and then maybe she wouldn’t need to rely on her insanity to keep her sane. Ironic, yes, but that was the truth. Therefore, optimism was rarely on the cards for Vicky, and only on days when the sun shone and it rained at the same time did she feel like the world would be okay. Days like today, with the handsome stranger standing before her, a smile on his face, teasing her about her song. At times like these, she could forget her worries. “Improve my song, hm?” She asked, amusement in her own tone to mirror his and she glanced down at the ground, tongue flicking out to lick her lower lip subconsciously. “What if I thought it was perfect already, eh, mister?” She laughed, showing that she was only joking, hands on hips as she shook her head. “Don’t even listen to me, my attempts at humour are downright terrible.” Her violet eyes shone with mirth, but she was sure that unhappiness was hidden in their depths. “But tell me, what makes you the expert?” She tilts her head, curious to see how he knew music, because music was a passion that she had and she wanted to know how people found the same passion as hers. The fact that she said it in an amused manner, didn’t change the meaning in the question. But the rain was soaking them, and there was no way that she wanted her guitar ruined. She’d had it for years, in a lot of ways it was her anchor and she wouldn’t be the same if she ever lost it. But his words brought out another musical laughter, and Victoria was surprised at how easily he did that. She looked at him for a moment too long, trying to figure out how that was possible because she didn’t usually laugh this much. “Aw, only in music distress? I mean, at least that’s something, but other distress should be acknowledged too.” She nodded, scolding him in a joking manner, because the banter just came so easily to them it was kind of scary. But then she was grabbing his hand, and they were running, her wet fingers gripping his and almost slipping from his grip, but the stranger was holding back and that was a wonder all on its own because many people would think she was weird, or crazy, and tell her to get away from them. But when they got inside, he was smiling as much as she was, her cheeks flushed and dark hair clinging to the nape of her neck as they just stood there for a moment, in their wet glory, and God, this was just so funny. Victoria snorted at his words, and cocked her head to the side in a ‘seriously’ manner. “In the modern age, you rarely find a gentleman.” She noted, because a lot of the time the male didn’t offer to buy a drink of the ‘pretty lady’ and that comment made her cheeks redden a bit further, because it was nice. It was nice to hear that, and you’d think that living with someone who was your lover you’d hear those kinds of words a lot, but they were just untrue in her case, and it was so nice to hear them. From a complete stranger too. “Alright then, Mr Gentleman, a coffee is just fine for me. It’s definitely worth sticking around for the musical education.” She chuckles, her words a little sarcastic, indicating that that so wasn’t the reason why she’d stick around, but she would hear him out with his knowledge anyway. Sitting down, she kept her jacket on so she wouldn’t get cold with her wet top. She wrung her hair around her hand, letting the water slide out of the strands as she waited for Teddy to get back, though she was facing the counter and she could see him really well. Her grin had lessened to a smile as she spied Harmony with the corner of her eye, and Vicky was surprised to see her so out of focus. That usually happened when she was pulled back to reality, Harmony just a voice that was now whispering in her ear, telling her Marco was once this nice to her. When they met at the festival, he’d also insisted on being a gentleman, and Victoria felt like she was being betrayed by her unreal best friend for reminding her of what it used to be like with Marco. She clamped her eyes shut, the smile from her face gone as she slammed herself back into reality, she didn’t want to hear it. She didn’t. When Teddy was finally back, she didn’t know if it was the sound of his voice or the sound of the cups hitting the table brought her out her reverie, but she jumped anyway, before visibly relaxing at the sight of him. It was okay. She would just enjoy his company. Victoria offered him a smile. “Tell me, Mr. Gentleman – about you. Music aside for a moment, tell me about you.” TAGGED: dino with teddy WORDS: 1009 OUTFIT: clickNOTES: bbies <333333333 [/style] [/div][/center]

They always thought he didn't have it in him, that he was the sweet (and probably gay) best friend, and that they could find that sort of happiness out of him, while in fact he could be so much more. Not many guys loved their girls the way Teddy had loved Tiana, the way he had thought he loved Grace, though that one seemed to not pan out that way, he still cared a lot about her. The vampire would go off the deep end just to make the ones he loved happy, and guys like him were a rare breed these days. If only girls saw that and wouldn't waste their time on the asshole types, the world would be a much happier place and girls wouldn't be so distrusting about guys. You see, it wasn't the fact that guys were assholes that made their name, sure there were guys who were like that, but girls also dug their own grave. They did not want the sweet ones, they wanted those for on the side, to comfort them and wonder why they never fell for guys like them. And trust me, Teddy knew that guys like him wondered the exact same thing. They would always be there on a friends basis, even if it meant they'd never leave the friendzone, but girls should realize they created their own demons. Everybody creates their own demons.
But this girl brought something out of Teddy that he did not know was still hidden inside of him. She made him smile with her enthusiasm and the way she teased him, the way it felt as easy as breathing. "Then you'd be fooling yourself, cause songs are never perfect." The vampire replied with a wink, his eyes not being able to let go off her figure, and of how beautiful she was. In a strange way she reminded him of Tiana, The big smile and the teasing, and also the love of music that had gotten them to talk to each other. He felt his heart lurch a little, and for Teddy the instant connection was the most important thing, he believed in that. And though he did not know who this girl was, he also believed that there as something present that he couldn't explain, that she couldn't explain, but there was a connection between them that immediately got him hooked. He knew her for like three seconds and he liked her. He liked her smile and the way she seemed like a ray of sunshine. He needed some light in his life, with the sullen and gloomy way he had been feeling lately. His smile towards the girl was genuine, not something he could say a lot these days. Theo was always nice and friendly to people, maybe a little too friendly for his own good, but even he had times when he had to fake a smile and pretend to be fine. "You humour me just fine, sweetheart, don't stop." The southern boy said, a grin showing on his boy-like face, which made people think he was even younger than he was, and very few suggested he was an immortal. His face just did not scream 'old and wise', and granted, he was only about 150 years old. He was just a toddler compared to most immortal beings and honestly he didn't mind that much. People should just stick to their own business.
"I've just been in the right places at the right time." Teddy said with a grin to explain what made him the expert. He had noticed her violet eyes, he knew she was a witch, but not all witches knew what they were and ever since Tiana, Teddy was careful to give his species away, because he knew how wrong things could go with that, so he could not tell her how he had been in the cities were blues and jazz started, and how he had seen it's development from the beginning and had been making music over 100 years. Nopes, that didn't seem like a smart plan to him, so he stuck to his previous statement. Which wasn't lying, I mean, he had been at the right places at the right time, he just did not say those times were quite long ago. The rain was pouring down on him now, and Teddy was glad he had his guitar cover with him like always, closing his eyes to feel the sensation of the cold dripping on his skin. Sometimes he was afraid that one day he would lose his humanity, just because he hadn't been in touch with it for so long, and that he would turn into a psycho, blood-sucking monster too. Theo hated what he was, he despised it, even if he had found his alternative to not be an atrocious serial killer, every animal he had to kill because he could not stretch not feeding out anymore was a drag to him. He felt horrible about it, and hated it. But his thoughts were pulled away from the darkness again as Victoria laughed, and Teddy noticed how just the sound of that made his heart grow a little lighter, and wondered how she did that and why she had such effect on him. He loved to see her smile, it made him feel a little better about himself, and that was the moment he decided he wanted to know this girl better. A lot better. "I would save you from any distress, I promise." The boy said with a smile, nodding seriously, but part of him also meant it. Nobody should be able to get the smile off this girl's face, and he wanted to make sure that didn't happen, but he hardly knew her, so it wasn't his place.
Then they were inside, and the girl noted that in modern times you rarely found a gentleman. "No miss, girls just hardly notice them." He replied with a shake of his head, his tone teasing while in fact he was pretty serious. It was true that girls never kept their eyes on the right guys, and always on the ones that were gonna hurt them. It was frustrating, but nothing Teddy could do about it. "A coffee it is." He continued with a wink, the smile on his face widening a little as he saw the red on her cheeks. Things never went this smoothly for him, he was always the one girls wanted to tell stories to or ask him for guy advice. But now he was actually flirting with this girl, and she seemed to like him too, which made his heart swell up in his chest. And then he told himself to not get ahead of himself, and take it slowly, and just focus on having fun with this insanely fun girl. His blue eyes searched for her until he reached the table she was at, handing her her coffee and sipping his own, since Teddy hardly survived without coffee. She asked him about himself, and the vampire bit his lip in thought, considering what he would tell her and what parts of his life he would leave out. "About myself? Hmm. Well I'm Theodore, but people call me Teddy, which I already told you, I am 24 years old and I love music, especially the blues. I love blues. I live in an apartment with my best friend Grace and other resident crazies Jett and Lewis. I am addicted to coffee and cigarettes, and my guilty pleasure is Bambi." It all just rolled out like that, as he had no care in the world. And none of it were lies, even his age wasn't, because he had been 24 for the last 126 years. His eyes observed her beautiful, wet face as a curious smile now curved his lips, taking a sip from his coffee. "And how about you, my damsel in distress? Aren't you supposed to give me a handkerchief or something now, so I can find you back when I lose you?"

[style=width:400px; height:200px; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/zHbDtFg.png);] THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE GHOST YOU DON'T
Vicky felt herself beaming at him and the ‘songs are never perfect’ comment, and she realised that she liked this boy. “You, Mister, I like you.” She waved a finger at him, a wide smile on her full lips as she nodded. Really, it was rather promising, because she never met people she could get on with so easily, and this was just really refreshing for her. The wink, she also liked the wink, it made her stomach flip a little, and she only remembered feeling that way when she had first met Marco at the festival. She missed the feeling, and she was glad someone was able to return it. “You’re very right. Songs can always be improved, so I suppose I should be thanking you rather than scolding you. I really hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me.” She found herself smirking at the last part, simply because it was more teasing than actually asking for forgiveness, it was a flirtation that she didn’t quite realise she was making as this was the way that she usually spoke anyhow. Victoria realised that she liked this stranger’s smile. It was real; she could see it behind his eyes. Though there was some darkness behind them, the smile was like a ray of sunshine and she liked that he could smile like that in front of her. He looked so young, youthful, but his eyes. His eyes were the giveaway of something older, something more. “I wasn’t planning to.” She replied to the ‘humour me’ comment, and pursed her lips a little. The answer he gave at her question about what made him an expert, made her eyebrow quirk up a little bit, violet eyes filled with genuine curiosity. “Right places at the right time? I can’t really imagine how that could be ...” She said, hoping that he could elaborate on the answer a little bit, she wanted him to. Vicky also realised that he had a nice tone of voice, the kind that you could listen to without getting tired, and the laughter made it sound even better. Victoria felt herself grin brightly when he promised to save her from any distress! This was just wonderful, and she could see Harmony out of the corner of her eyes, giving her a knowing look, and she just shook her head to get the girl away. Not now. She didn’t want Harmony now, she didn’t want her because reality, for once, was being better than fantasy and she didn’t need the voice of her in her head. Though she was saying something, Harmony was merely a murmur while Teddy was loud and clear before her, his smile something real, though she felt like it was something that she would dream up in a dream while she was in bed with Marco. She was glad that it wasn’t a dream, the cold sensation on her skin proved it. If she was in a dream she wouldn’t shiver ever so slightly when the breeze blew past. “I’ll be counting on that, Teddy. Now that you promised, there’s no going back!” She nodded, determined that he would save her if there was a need, and for some reason, that made her feel better. It didn’t seem to matter that she didn’t know him almost at all. Theodore was nothing if not a gentleman, but his words made her sad. Why would girls not noticed the gentlemen? It was almost not understandable to her, because those men were the ones that treated you right, and she knew that. God, she found out the hard way, but Marco had been a gentleman too before he became the way he was now. And then she became lonelier, because there was just so few people in her life, she had driven them all away and now, she wasn’t sure she should be building bonds. But Teddy, Teddy seemed worth being friends with. He was just so nice, his laugh was beautiful, she didn’t know how anyone could not notice that. “Then girls need educating on which men will treat them better.” She shrugged, truth falling from her lips. “I notice a gentleman, and there are so few.” She told him softly, holding his gaze, the smile on her lips reassuring that he shoudn’t want to be like all the other boys. All the other boys were not Teddy, and Teddy was not them so she couldn’t imagine why someone like him would be sad about such a thing. “Besides, it just shows which girls are worth it, no? The ones that notice are the ones you need in your life, and the ones that don’t, you’re better off without them.” She , the insane girl making more sense than a lot of the people on this earth. She sat at the table, looking out of the window and the rain for a few moments, thinking about how the weather did not match the mood today. Vicky was feeling happy, her heart was light and it was something she enjoyed greatly, this feeling. She wanted it to last, and her stomach almost fell at the thought that it would end the moment she got home, but none the less, she wouldn’t let that ruin her mood. She would deal with that when it came to it, like she always did. She would take any chance to feel happy and laugh without restriction. When Teddy came back, she smiled. “Thank you!” She said gratefully, taking the cup and sipping at the hot beverage, the hear running pleasantly don’t her chilled skin. Then she was telling her about himself and she listened attentively and with interest, laughing a little at the last part. “Why is it a guilty pleasure? No shame in liking something. Besides, that movie was very emotional.” She nodded, she could barely handle it when she had watched it. She had lost her parents by the hand of another too. It hit close to home. “I’m glad that music is something you like. I do like the blues, but I’m more of a contemporary kind of girl. The music and the lyrics have to work well together.” She smiled and let her painted fingers drum against the side of her cup. However, Victoria had to look away for a moment when he asked about how he was going to find her. She found that the comment made her heart lurch, the look in her eyes was smouldering, though she didn’t even realise it, oblivious to whatever flirtation she was giving back. She shouldn’t have been, having a boyfriend and all, but that was a thing she wanted to forget. “I’m afraid I’m no lady, I carry no handkerchiefs.” She giggled, playing along; cocking her head to the side she eyed him. “A gentleman would have to settle for a peasant woman, this time, and let her write on his hand.” She reached out across the table, taking his hand between both of hers. Truthfully, a lot of the time, Vicky wasn’t aware that people might not want to be touched so freely, she had no concept of personal space. She picked up the pen that was on their table, and she was sure he was expecting her to write down her phone number, but Victoria wasn’t like all the girls. You can find me where the waves hit the shore. She smiled as she gave him back his hand. “Though I don’t know why you’d want to find me, when you can’t really lose me.” She wasn’t his to lose. Post by THEODORE NICHOLAS BLACKWOOD on Sept 18, 2013 13:06:10 GMT
[style=width: 450px; height: 400px; background-image: url(http://data.whicdn.com/images/11608322/28966_382981031609_177077531609_4419324_1594847_n_large.jpg);] WHERE THERE IS DESIRE t h e r e i s g o n n a b e a f l a m e as teddy looked down at this girl, this overly excited, truly happy girl, it made his heart feel a little lighter again. she had a way about her that made him smile, a type of innocence that he hadn't seen in a long long time, and he knew that she would never con him, that she couldn't do that, not with the way she was now, unless this was all an act, but for a moment he allowed himself to believe that that was not true. for a moment he allowed himself to forget all that had happened for him and just be happy, and smile. "that's good, because i like you too, my lady." the guy said with a grin, his heart swelling a little, because theodore blackwood was the guy who always felt the immediate attraction, who believed in love at first sight, and who know felt the immediate connection he had with this girl. with vicky. vicky and her radiant smile and her love for music, who didn't seem to get offended when he pointed her on things that could improve her music. most people didn't like to be corrected, but teddy had always found hints and tips useful, because they could teach you things, and therefore they shouldn't be taken too lightly. he never did, he always was serious and tried stuff out, to see if it truly worked that way for him. music was a feeling, which most people didn't truly get, they did not see the possibilities of getting the view of someone else, even if it might not work, or might not feel right, but you could at least try, right? "how could i not forgive you, miss, which such a smile." the vampire replied, being pretty pleased with his flirting skills today, but honestly he also truly meant it. if there was anything he loved about this girl the most so far, it was that smile.
he knew he had said too much when she asked him about his expertise and saw the expression on her face after he gave her his answer. theo didn't know whether victoria knew about the supernatural world at all, so how could he tell her that he was 150 years old and that is why he had been at the right places during the right time? he couldn't do that, he did not want another person to hate him based on what he was. because yes, he was a vampire, but teddy was also a vegetarian. he wasn't a bloodthirsty monster, he was actually one of the harmless ones. he wouldn't want to drink human blood even if he had to and had never even done it before. "i mean that sometimes exceptional things in music happen, and you can experience them the best when you're there when it happens. i've had that quite some times. and that's where i base my expertise on." the man explained, praying to the god above that that would be enough of an explanation for her because that was all he got without telling her he wasn't truly 20-something. or well, that he had been 20-something for quite a while already. He noted the grin on her face as he told her that he'd protect her from any distress, and honestly, he meant it. teddy truly was that guy who would protect you from any harm, or at least try. it was mainly because he didn't want other people to suffer the same faith he had, being beaten up by his father and nobody around who would do anything for him, and that while teddy hadn't done anything wrong but not being the way his father wanted him to be. just because his dad thought he was gay, even when it wasn't the case. "trust me, i'm not going back after i gave my word to pretty damsels." the man said with a chuckle, winking again at her. she was cute and bright, and somehow he wanted to spend more time with her, find out more about her. maybe she had a boyfriend for all he knew, that would be just his luck, but for now teddy was just going to go with the attraction he had for her and the connection he felt, and think about the rest later.
teddy was always the typical example of people who got overlooked because they weren't shouting as loud as other people. the vampire truly didn't think he was ugly or had any other self-esteem problems, but he was just not that kind of guy who would ruffle his feathers everywhere and be so loud that he made sure everybody saw him. no teddy was too sweet for that, he wanted to make sure that others got noticed and in the process, he pushed himself away from being noticed and people just saw him the way they saw santa's helpers. santa was the main attraction, and they were just there to assist him. likewise teddy was always the one there to help and to do anything for a person, and they just deemed that normal. just deemed at it as something he always did. A smile formed on his lips though as she spoke those words, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "in the end it is their own choice, and also their own loss. sometimes it seems like girls just like to get their hearts broken. apparently the bad boys have something, i just have yet to discover what it is." he replied truthfully too, his eyes meeting her as she spoke again, not letting go off that intense gaze, that made his heart actually stop before pounding very loudly in his chest. the vampire could actually feel the electricity in the air, the way he had only felt with tiana before. what was it about this girl that was so incredibly intriguing? "You've got a beautiful point there, vicky. you're absolutely right." theodore said sincerely, because he could also admit when other people were right. he had never had the ego problems of having difficulties with admitting he was wrong. in fact, teddy was wrong all the time, and he didn't give a damn about it. mistakes happened, they were human. "in fact i guess i am just like most girls, falling for the wrong type that won't make us happy." he said, wondering how he got so open and sincere with a stranger.
he went to get the drinks, because a true gentleman never ever let woman pay for them, or even pay for themselves in some occasions and teddy was really one of the old ways, in which you had to treat women as if they were precious, not as if they were dogs or slaves and some sort of possession. many men these days didn't get the true concept of loving women anymore, they didn't know how much a woman could enrich their lives in a way they had never imagined possible. if they only learned how to treat them right. and call theo old-fashioned, but he truly believed in that. as he came back with their drinks, he smiled as she thanked him. "no problem, really." he said, sitting down opposing her and taking a sip from his beverage, he didn't know why it came so easily to him to tell her all about himself, or well a start of it. he didn't tell her everything, he couldn't tell her everything, because that would mean she'd probably get scared and ran away. he had noticed she had violet eyes, but that didn't have to mean anything. a lot of witches didn't know that they were witches. he knew several of them who hadn't had a clue before the witch trials came and took them away. "men aren't supposed to like movies like that, but i do. so that's why it's a guilty pleasure. but you're right, no shame in liking such movies." he replied, because secretly he was a fan of most disney movies. they had that something that made him like them, like much of the world's community did so he guessed, but well. hell, he had been around when the walt disney company was founded. "music and lyrics always have to work well together. it's the best way to get the feelings across. and ain't that the most important part?" teddy said, his hand moving to take her fingers in his, stopping her with drumming against the cup. "what else do you like, vicky?" he asked her, truly curious about this fascinating woman, someone who was so different than anybody he had ever seen. and teddy had seen a lot of people in his days.
the vampire was never this bold with his flirting, but there was something about her that got him courage, confidence, that made it appear as if she liked him too, as if she felt it too, the connection that was between them and the electricity occupying the air between them. he watched her as she looked away after his comment, wondering whether he might have been too bold with his statements, and asking himself whether he had ruined it now, carefully taking another sip from his coffee, as the cup was slowly growing empty. suddenly she looked at him again, and theodore was lost in those mesmerizing violet eyes, smiling as she giggled and claimed to be no lady. "even if you have no handkerchiefs, i can't believe you ain't no lady, victoria. to me you are." he said, a tingle shooting through his arm as she grabbed his hand, chuckling at her words. "i'd settle for you no matter who or what you are." he said sincerely, and wondered whether that was a bridge he shouldn't have crossed. after all, how well did he knew this girl, he hardly knew her at all. "You can find me where the waves hit the shore.. is this a game we're playing?" he said with a curved eyebrow as he read what she said on his hand, his eyes meeting hers once again with a somewhat challenging grin. he felt so alive when he was around her, it was strange. "because i don't want to take the risk, vicky." the man said, brushing his free hand through his brown hair as his thumb caressed over her palm. he didn't know what had truly gotten into him, but somehow the idea of never seeing her again made his soul ache. and it was ridiculous.
