It was unusual for the cute faerie woman to have a plan with Tullia that didn’t somehow end in sex. Okay, that sounded really wrong, but they’d been sex friends ever since they’d met. Now that she was with Gideon though, she was determined not to lose such an excellent companion just because they couldn’t hop into bed afterward. Also… well, she felt like Tullia had some legitimately romantic shenanigans of her own going on that maybe they could talk about. It was something. As it stood at the moment though, they were going to dinner, and then a movie. A friend thing, Right. Jyli was faithful, but it would still be interesting to see how she felt around a woman she was so attracted to, now that her moral code- loose though it was- would heavily object to any kind of sexual interaction. But gosh, what were the limits?? They’d figure it out together, because Jy knew that Tulls wouldn’t want to lose their friendship either. So here she was, primping for their not-date. No reason to look like hell just because she wasn’t trying to lure the other woman into bed with her. Yep. So she smoothed some gloss onto her lips while she curled her hair into gloriously small ringlets. The dark curls framed her face, and she stuck a pretty pin into them, just for fun. Very nice. She looked good. Her watch beeped at her gently, reminding her that she had to go now if she was going to get there on time, since she was walking. With a quick spritz of hairspray, she turned out the lights and made her way downstairs, traipsing along the streets to her destination. A beautiful Italian place that had recently sprung up that she was actually interested in trying. Hopefully, they didn’t totally suck at their proclaimed ‘specialty.’ She saw Tullia’s familiar hair and grinned. Damn, she looked good, almost as spiffed up as Jyli. Wow. ’Oh my gawd Tulls, you look amazing,’ she said, giving her friend a hug. ’I’m starving, so let’s eat. And hopefully not let this get weird, huh? I heart you too much for weirdness, let me put that out there.’ Her friend seemed to agree as they made their way inside and were seated at a booth by the window. Jyli ordered herself a glass of wine- not like she was driving anywhere- a nice-sounding red while Tullia selected her own beverage. ’So, love, how are you? It feels like it’s been forever, and that’s just sad. I’ve missed you.’ Yes, they pretty much just hooked up whenever they randomly caught each other, but that had been sporadic of late, and the fae was glad that they had made an actual planned thing. It felt good, seeing her friend again. And she wasn’t yet feeling weird. Yay. Let’s see where this went.

A date or at least that was what Tullia was thinking but maybe it wasn't she knew that Jyli had something going on in her life, as well as herself. But both of them still had their flings when they met and it usually meant the other ended up in one of their beds and they had a night of bliss planned. Tonight was different though, they were actually going to go out and have a night to talk and just have conversation. They could do that right , just have a normal dinner, moving things that couples did. Even though they weren't a couple that didn't mean they couldn't enjoy a night out or something right. So they weren't going on a date but instead just enjoying a dinner, while Tullia enjoyed sex she wasn't a home wrecker or didn't take people who weren't there. Now her own love life was nothing to write home about she really didn't have much going on at all, she had just drinks and hook ups with people at clubs who knew how to dance which was enjoyable but that at times got boring as well. So this would something different with a woman she did find extremely and good for company so she knew it wouldn't end badly. They had something strong and even if it didn't end in a bed she knew that they would enjoy just each others company and presence. She would check the time and smile, going though her closet she would ponder what she wanted to wear, she knew she wanted to look stunning. At the same time not like she was expecting something. Now she normally didn't really wear dresses but this was something special and different so ever so often she would dress up and now it would be one of those times. Letting out a soft chuckle she would add the last bit of touches to her outfit. She heard that they would be eating Italian which Tullia loved , well as long as it was good Italian. With one last dash of body spray which would smell of black raspberry and vanilla she made her way out the door. Heels clicking on the ground she would smirk at the eyes that were watching her move. Tullia loved that she could still cause stares and have them follow her as she walked. Now even more so that she was meeting with a woman just as sexy or even more so then herself. Seeing the familiar fae in the distance a smile bore on her face as she steady her space and couldn't help but feel happy that she was doing this. Enveloping her arms in her own hug she would kiss her own cheek before stepping back and smirks." You know you look stunning as well. we are sexy bitches you know, anyone would be lucky to look at us or be with us." She would nod and step inside, the scents of everything covering her nose and would smile softly. " Everything smells so good, I can't wait to dig into the food. " Huh no we need no weirdness I love you to much for weird as well. Your one of my good friends as well and I don't want to ruin that either. " Sitting into the booth she would order her own glass of red wine and offer Jyli a smile they hadn't talked much lately so it would be good to be able to finally catch up with her friend again. " I know it has been way to long , well nothing much really I just am enjoying my life and all the jazz. Offering advice when I can and being helpful and such when need be. What about you , how is everything in your world something exciting has to be happening with you." Outfit

She remembered making the decision to actually call Tullia, and propose this little date night. It was fine, of course, but she’d actually been nervous about it. She like, never actually called the firetamer. They had each other’s numbers, of course, but they never used them, letting serendipity determine just when they would hook back up. So far, it’d worked marvelously, but with Jyli dating Gideon and Tullia so involved in her own affairs- romantic and familial alike- they had fallen out of touch. And the faerie missed her friend. So yeah, okay, she’d been a little trepidatious about making the call, but Tullia had responded incredibly well, agreeing to meet her for dinner and a movie with a happy tone. So the golden-eyed woman had still taken care with her appearance, still tried to look ravishing, before making her way to the restaurant. No reason to look frumpy just because she wasn’t going to end up in bed with one of her favorite blondes. After all, even after she ended up in bed with one of her favored blondes, she still didn’t look frumpy. And Tullia didn’t either, oh goodness.
Her firetaming friend had decided to wear a strapless wine-colored gown that showcased fabulous amounts of her skin, and hugged every curve, rolling in shimmering waves around her fantastic legs. Wow. So the brunette couldn’t resist complimenting her, starting out the evening on a high note, giving her a hug, which her companion returned with ease, making the faerie laugh, outright, before expressing her desire to stay friends, even if they couldn’t be lovers anymore. Which turned out to be exactly what Tullia wanted to, and suddenly, it was just that easy to be with her friend again. There was no odd tension, no weird vibes or looks, just good company. Jyli was pretty blunt- when she wanted to be- and always honest. It was a thing for her. Well… she never lied, at least. She could bend and twist all day, but she never actually lied. It made her an incredible asset, actually, as she’d been told several times. Also, well, she just had to agree with Tullia’s assessment of things. ’Heck yes we are. And they would. Are? Whatever. Come eat with me.’ She chuckled and pulled her friend along, letting her silly words go as they were seated at a very nice booth. Like… fabric-seats nice.
The waiter took their drink orders, and the two gorgeous women moved into the ‘catching up’ part of their date, and Jyli couldn’t help shaking her head and chuckling. ’to be honest, I’m starving. I waited all day, and got so busy at work that I didn’t eat anything… so yeah, I’m ready to eat too.’ The brunette quietly browsed her menu, looking at the various options the restaurant provided, making a few mental notes about what looked the most interesting, or appetizing. There were some standouts, and the faerie was thinking about it when her companion posed her question, making the brunette chuckle and lean back against the booth, shaking her head. ’Well, that’s wonderful to hear, honey. And I think we should make this a semi-regular thing, by the by.’ She took a sip of her wine and continued on, answering Tullia’s return volley. ’For me, things are happening. You know I got that new job at the hotel? It’s gotten rolling quite a bit farther than that. I’m… gosh, I’m intrinsic to the whole operation now. Second only to Gideon himself, it seems. And well… I’m dating him. I know that’s ambiguous on the morality scale, but it’s really not like that. He’s a good guy. We get along really well.’ Her dark head tilted with a small smile, and she observed the beauty across from her. ’So tell me what’s happening with your love life, gorgeous.’

Tullia couldn't help but Jyli was getting slightly tongue tied from her own statement about them. They were sexy woman , and had more power in their fingertips then most humans would ever have in their single life time. Although she normal didn't like being around humans she was going out with a friend so she could make an acceptation. It was hard finding a place where Jyli could eat so finding a non metal establishment and one that made delicious food , well who could pass it up. So she would smirk and nod at her words and just give her a hip bump. Eyes flicking to others around them holding back a grimace knowing that some of the company would be human's god what good they do for the world. Nothing at all , rolling her shoulder's making sure her dress wasn't ruined or displaced she would step inside and smile softly at Jyli. This was going to be fun not awkward , yeah normally their night ended in a bed with passionate sex but at the moment they weren't doing that. Not that she thought their relationship would be in danger from that. It was going to be step to a stronger friendship.
The booth they sat it formed to their bodies , a pleased sigh escaped her lips. Her finger idly running across the fabric seats , not many places did this unless they had money and well it looked like this place had that. Her fingers would gently run across the stem of her glass waiting for a waiter to approach and get their drink orders. Glancing over the menu as her drink was place din front of her. So many good choices to chose from. " Jesus Jyli you probably should have eatten sooner you could probably eat a whole cow now if you so chose to." Her tone teasing of course , maybe that was what she would have a good delicious steak. Yeah that would be good so when they waiter came back she ordered the rib eye with baked potato and a small side salad. Sipping her drink she waited for Jyli to order before they would continue their conversation making sure no unwanted ears were listening to them , not they could truly do anything but she did like her privacy. " Yes I agree I mean what would I do with I didn't get to spend time with my favorite fae." Winking at that , she knew Jyli enjoyed these type of compliments and she had no problem giving them/
Her eyebrow would raise ever so slightly hearing who she was working for , well it seemed like she was finding herself rather well in this town. Mr. Osbourne wasn't a man to trifle with so Tullia couldn't help but more pleased with her friend. " Well that's great I am glad things are going well for you. Oh dating your boss how scandalous Jyli oh well hope he knows what he is in for. " Yes she loved teasing and having fun with her friend , she was happy with Gideon and that was all that Tullia could wish for with her friend. Hearing the question about her own love life a laugh escaped her lips. " Oh yeah I don't have one so you know im just having flings when I can, Since my last hopeful relationship well just ended cause he just vanished. So I am just playing the field as they say."

Sitting across from Tullia like this was nice, comfortable, pleasant. Jyli had missed her, truth be told. It’d been… well, a very long time since they’d seen each other. Months, likely. Heck, the last time she could recall seeing the beautiful firetamer had been their happenstance on the beach. And that, as most of their encounters generally did, had become an adventure in the delights of their flesh. Now, to go from that to this… it was only mildly awkward, but Jyli was determined to not let it remain that way. No. She had no wish to lose a friend like Tullia just because she was actually, legitimately seeing somebody now. A rather powerful somebody who just happened to be her boss. Ha. That was likely to come out this evening, during the course of their conversation, spending time together. Certainly, the faerie woman could avoid it if she so wished, but there was no reason to hide such information from her blonde friend. The firetamer wouldn’t judge. She might tease, but she wouldn’t actually judge the fae for such an interaction.
Just like she wasn’t actually judging Jyli for the fact that she hadn’t eaten all day. What? She’d been distracted, and was trying to save room her dinner with her friend. And even though she wasn’t judging, Jyli knew that her friend was still apt to tease her about it, and did. So the golden-eyed woman took the comment in stride with a small chuckle, and shook her head gently. ’A whole cow? Probably not… even on a particularly hungry day, I can’t manage such a feat. Now, a whole chicken, maybe.’ Her wink was quick and teased Tullia right back, browsing the menu and deciding that chicken actually sounded delicious. The waiter arrived, taking her companion’s order of steak and potatoes- at which Jyli was actually unsurprised, having shared meals with the blonde before. Jyli settled on a chicken dish. ’And I would like the garlic rotisserie chicken with… the pasta as the side. And I’ll have a Caesar salad with that, thank you.’ They sent the charming young man on his way, and returned to their own conversation, sharing smiles and words. It was a good start. As was the sweet little compliment Tullia gave her. ’Now darling, much as I appreciate that, I know you have warm fuzzies for a few other faeries in town. Are you sure I’m your favorite?’ A tiny wink accompanied the light inquiry, and Jyli really didn’t have a preference as to how she answered. They were friends, and the brunette knew she had other friends, and was bound to have better ones than her lurking somewhere.
But, as she was a good friend, she asked about Jyli’s work and lovelife, and the faerie could be nothing but honest with her. So, just like that, she was explaining about her new job with Gideon, and her new relationship with the same man. Yeah. It was like that. But Tullia wished her well with the career, and of course, teased her about the relationship. The fae could only grin. ’If you’d met him Tulls, you’d understand. And we both know, he likely has no earthly idea.’ She was a firecracker, in the best way, and they both knew it. So was Tullia, though, so the fae woman had to ask about her friend’s lovelife. That was only polite… and she was terribly nosy. Which had actually served her better than one might have originally expected. In this case, however, the brunette was mildly disappointed with the answer. She didn’t like hearing that her friend was a bit on the lonely side. ’That’s sucky, honey. You really don’t know what happened to him? Certainly nothing bad, I hope…’ Jyli took another sip of her drink, and tilted her head curiously. ’But, disappearance notwithstanding, any flings worthy of note?’

Jyli and her always did get along it was something that Tullia just felt at ease with, even though they weren't sleeping with each other anymore. She knew that she could still trust and find a friend in that woman. Which made it all alright knowing that at the end of the day she would still have a friend in her, that was what truly mattered right. Now if they were screwing or not, but knowing that , they still were friends at the end of the day. While they hadn't seen each other in awhile , the beach was a fun memory was were all the others they had gathered over the years. Memories that would be always cherished. Her fingers would play against the glass at the place they were sitting, Tullia wasn't sure how things were going to go from here, but she had faith that they wouldn't change too much. They were too good of friends to have anything change at least that is what Tullia hoped for in the mind.
A small chuckle would escape her lips at her friend talking about eating a whole cow, how she never could accomplish such a thing. So a chicken would be much better suited well anyone could eat a whole chicken. Tullia had managed to do it maybe once or twice, not that it was very lady like, but sometimes you just didn't care. No everything was about appearances , while she understood and respected them. Sometimes it just was fun to cut lose and not care about how others saw you, or what you lived your life. No judgment from anyone, that was something Tullia enjoyed, and she knew her friend felt the same way. To just be able to be themselves knowing that the other wasn't going to comment or call them out on something. “ Oh im sure something would give you a reason to eat a whole cow, maybe not today but I think one day you would get a work out that makes you feel ravenous. It would happen even if it never did, it was just fun to tease her dear friend about it. ” but chicken is good too, I love chicken but I am feeling more cow tonight.” What Jyli ordered sounded delicious too she would need to come back here and try that one day.
With her comment about warm fuzzies about other Faeries a hand would go over her heart in a mock gasp. “ I would never betray you like that, you know you stole my heart “ A wink would shortly follow that. Jyli was her dear , dear friend and she knew nothing would replace that, but she wasn't fully wrong either. Jayne Astor was a dear friend to her as well even though they hadn't talked lately she knew that if she ever truly needed him and she hoped if he ever needed her, that they would reach out to one another and be able to help. “ Well then it seems like I will just need to meet this mystery man one day. I promise to give a good impression, beside from what you said he sounds like he leaves an impression.” If Jyli didn't want her to meet him then Tullia would respect that as well it was truly all up to what her friend wanted. A shrug would follow Jyli's question about her own love life, it was slim to tone. “ Not a clue so I hope he is happy with whatever he is doing, he could be dead in a ditch for all I know, but anyways fling naw not really. I am hopefully going to go out soon though and maybe have some fun.” After another sip of water passed her lips a soft sigh would pass before relaxing into the booth. “ So anything exciting and new going on in your life I feel like it has been forever since we have caught up.”

It was unusual for them to make a plan together, but Jyli was finding that she actually liked it quite a bit. The getting dressed up was always fun, of course, and the picking a location had been something she’d enjoyed… The faerie woman did have a penchant for flying by the seat of her pants- they both did- but it was nice to do more work than the Fates, in a manner of speaking. Besides, she had missed her sparky little friend. And sure, she hadn’t needed to get all dolled up to impress Tullia- the woman had seen her fresh out of the shower with nothing on but water droplets- but she had always appreciated taking the time- and having the time taken by others- to get dressed up and present a lovely appearance. So, while Tullia needn’t have tried to impress Jyli either, the fact that she had warmed the brunette’s heart. Especially when they both knew that nothing of a romantic nature would occur that evening. Nope, just food.
Cow for one, and chicken for the other. They teased each other back and forth about their potential menu selections for a few minutes, the firetamer earning herself more than a few chuckles from her companion. ’Some rough and vigorous exercise, perhaps? A good romp of a-‘ She stopped herself with a giggle, and shook her head. ’Well, you know. Since you’re also very familiar with the fact that I don’t actually enjoy legitimate exercise. Unnecessary exertion. Ick.’ Her pretty nose crinkled with distaste, before she stuck her tongue out, playful. ’It’s a good thing I lead a fairly active life, just by course… and that I’ve got a quick metabolism, or else I’d be reduced to eating fish and greens every night. That might make me a touch grumpy.’ But tonight, she’d be having chicken, and when they finally sent the little waiter on his way, they got back to a more avid interest in each other. Jyli had always been curious about Tullia’s life, and vice versa, not only because she was incredibly nosy, but because it helped her to better understand her blonde friend. Her life also lent her words and advice a certain accuracy and weight that Jyli may not have otherwise appreciated. It was the easy communication between the two- as well as the great sex- that had allowed them to become such good friends in such a short amount of time. Jyli hadn’t been in Manuka- in regular civilization, even- that long, after all. So yes, she had to tease the firetamer about her ‘favorite fae,’ comment, because the odds shouldn’t have been waited in her favor, given how long Tullia had been in Manuka, and exposed to the rest of the supernatural community.
’It wouldn’t be a betrayal if they were there first, silly. Like Jayne or… um…’ Her voice trailed as she hesitated, for the briefest moments, torn between whether or not she should tell Tullia about her fairly random encounter with the eldest Astor. She hadn’t seen the woman in so long, she hadn’t yet had the opportunity. How would Tulls take the knowledge that Jyli had slept with him? Let him make her breakfast…? After she had thought she hated his guts, by proxy. So much for that. But she hadn’t seen him since, so was it really a big deal, or even worth mentioning? She nibbled her lip and breezed past it, determined to leave it to fate. If it was meant to be addressed, Tullia would ask her about it. As it was, they could discuss her more relevant love life with Gideon. Whom the blonde was actually interested in meeting. What do you know about that? ’Of course I’d love to introduce you, sweetheart, but I’m gonna see where it goes, first… for now, it’s just fun, and maybe when it’s a little more serious I’ll introduce him to my treasured people.’ She said the words with a small shrug, and took a sip of her wine, all smiles. The evening was going so well! ’As for impressions, you can leave whatever impression you want. If he can’t handle you and appreciate you for being yourself like I do, then he will just have to deal with it, quietly.’ A quick little nod emphasized her standpoint on that subject. Tullia was her friend, and any lover she had would just have to accept that. And she knew the reverse was true, as well. Jyli would be interested to meet any of Tullia’s prospective love interests, but at the moment, it appeared she didn’t have any. ’At least you’re not confined, free to do whatever you want. That’s something. Although having some dummy disappear is inconvenient,’ she huffed with a slight shrug, and contemplated her companion’s question. ’Not really, no, to be perfectly honest. Working and playing. You know me. Nothing special. How about you, sparkplug?’ The little nickname just popped out of her mouth, tickling Jyli. She wondered how her friend would feel about it...
