. Lauren has always known just what she was. Her mother, you see, is also a mermaid and therefore told her daughter about her gift when she was still a little girl. She has never been ashamed of her tail, in fact, she loves it and wouldn't change the fact that she isn't like every other girl she knows. And while she's learned to be careful when it comes to being around water when others are present she pretty much goes about life like any other normal citizen.

By chance she happened to come across another of her kind, a young man named Judas, and though he has made it quite clear he hates what he is she has made it her mission to help him see himself in a different light. Being the free spirited person she is to others and family to those she cares about Lauren and Judas are a good combination and are great friends despite his occasional rifts of the mere world.

Lauren has a past or mood usually of getting cranky, mood and just plain o' stubborn. This is usually when things don't have a chance of going her way or being near it anytime soon for that matter. Not so much that people bother or make her stubborn its the little things that happen; not enjoining the day out when its raining or being alone with no one to turn to.

Lauren was born in a small town in Florida Orlando, with her mother Emily and her small Shiz tzu Bella the only thing she knew about her so called father was that he was a Human and his name was James nothing more and nothing less. At a young age Lauren knew her mother was a Mermaid and the genes passed down to her becoming a Mermaid as well and loving every minute of it.

Her mother told her one thing and she never forget it to never show her tail to humans; Being at a young age then the newly found mermaid at around age 18 went against her mother's wishes and went out to lets just say have some fun alcohol to getting wasted in which led her to revealing her scaly dark blue midnight tail for the onlookers to see.

Nonetheless Lauren knew all too well what would happen; as well as her mother's strict rules beforehand. Things didn't settle right when she was being picked on, lashed out at and discriminated against what she was. Packing up to the last day Lauren's relationship had been a close knit bond with her mother who she promised to never go against or doubt again, to which her mother highly agreed on.

Sydney Rose hadn't slept the past night very well at all.The make-shift shelter she had made for herself has been ambushed when she had gone to hunt. Only on occasion would she leave the shelter but in this case she had to leave and quickly because she wasn't nearly ready to fight what or Whom would be coming her way anytime soon. However this was because of her lack of food,which had been scarce since it was the middle of winter. Sydney flinched at the thought of not eating and stared down at her now tattered white, scrawny belly which she could have been able her bones if she had looked hard enough. At least she had a desire to at least find another companion along the way but lately she hasn't seen anything or Anyone as of the matter, she had rarely seen any wolf's or shape shifters only a few bear cubs and their mothers, steering away from them as long as she could. As she began stretching her back legs and front paws she pondered where to go from here. As she lifted her head up and sniffed a long whiff of winter and woodland creatures. She had begun to see two paths one with a dark passage and the other with the sun casting on the silhouette on a tree. Sydney puffed out her chest ready for what ever would come her way next.
