Yes. Hi. Who exactly is this beautiful man? Well, Natalie Hawthorne's soulmate, of course! Before we get too far into this (because I know JGL is one hell of a man and quite tempting), let's cover some of the basics:
- SPECIES: Must be a mortal species (human, hunter, shapeshifter, werewolf, warlock, faerie, merman, firetamer, or a hybrid of any of these)
- AGE: 26-30 though I'd really prefer him to be on the older side
- PLAYBY: Must, must MUST be Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Sorry, but I'm a tad obsessed so yeah.
- PERSONALITY: BOY should be someone who is rather pessimistic and sort of disenchanted with the world. You know those kind of people. Skeptic, bitter towards life, yeah. Doesn't mean he's mean or anything; just a little bit more grounded and not so head-in-the-cloud type. Also, BOY should be calm, cool, collected and generally hard to upset. He tends to keep people at an arm's length and can kind of come off as self absorbed/self centered because of it. I know I'm being rather picky about this, but it's important that he's Nat's opposite. Feel free to expand as long as it's along these lines.
- HISTORY: History wise, I really don't care. Anything that lands him in Manuka as the owner of a bookshop (more explanation in a bit), it can really be whatever. Though I must say, I'd love if he had some sort of heartbreak in his past, which is why he thinks Natalie is silly for believing in what she does.
So there's a ton of information, but here's what I'm thinking goes on between the two. BOY is the owner of a bookshop, as I stated earlier. I don't know why, but I just find the idea of him owning a bookstore very adorable. I don't care if it's brand new books or second hand or if it has a little cafe. Whatever. Up to you. Regardless, Natalie walks in looking for an entirely sappy, gooey, lovey dovey story (they're her absolute favorite). While BOY isn't typically one to criticize his customers - since they are paying and keep him in business - he couldn't let this one slide. Natalie was much too optimistic for BOY and he always believe that being so naive was dangerous.
Basically, BOY and Nat get into an argument over living life entirely realisticly and having a little belief in good and magic and whatnot. Basically yeah, won't get along. BOY will think Natalie is foolish and will only be disappointed in life whereas Natalie thinks BOY is a big sour meany and won't ever be happy as long as he keeps living as he has been. But of course the whole opposite attracts thing, so Natalie would keep finding excuses to come into the bookshop so they could talk and eventually they'd both start to fall for each other. However, Nat has some plottage coming up that's going to end up starting to poke holes in her so very optimistic filer in life and she's going to want to go back to BOY to tell him that he was right. Meanwhile, BOY has been thinking maybe he's been wrong since he met Natale. Since he's started to fall in love with Nat's happy self, he tries to help her back to that. AND I DON'T KNOW I JUST REALLY LIKE CUTE, DRAMA FILLED STUFF OKAY? My brain will defdef come up with some more plottage depending on other details, but that'll come once BOY is made.
Now here's the kicker. If you're interested in this plot, post here or PM. However, I'd like to just put it out there that this is not first come, first serve. Let's be honest. I can lose interest really quickly if our writing styles don't mesh because then it becomes more of a chore to write instead of something fun. So basically, I need to make sure we can work together. There's a lot of you who I know could fill this, but if you're concerned, PM me and we can take a look.
