OVERALL
Overall Lacey is a very simple kind of person. She knows what she likes and doesn't like, and she doesn't really express herself much. She likes to keep to herself and she's always distracted with some kind of thoughts. She likes to spend her time locked up in the library with a book or writing down something. She always carries this notebook around and she's often seen scribbling into it. She can often seem like a cold, heartless bitch, but she's really not. She's one of the sweetest girls you've ever met. She doesn't let many people in, however, so not many get to see that side.
Lacey is very protective and caring of those she loves. She's a little naive and she is very trusting, which could be good or bad. She doesn't like being judged, so she does her best to blend in to her surroundings. It's a little hard for her to make friends, but she's as loyal as a Golden Retriever. She would do anything for someone she loved. But she has her bad days. She struggles with depression, so she's not always so happy and bubbly. She's found herself staring blankly at a wall for long periods of time, but she won't admit she has any problems.

OVERALL
Lacey was born on the 28th of November to Mary and Robert Rivers. She had an older brother named Kyle, and he was always looking out for her. Lacey had a pretty average childhood. She had a couple friends that she did everything with, her parents loved her and gave her all they could, and she was happy. Until Lacey turned twelve.
It was a couple of weeks after her birthday when her mom recieved the news that she had breast cancer. There was nothing the doctors could do because it had spread throughout most of her body. The family was devastated. The last few days of Mary's life was spent around her family. She died peacefully on February 19. After that, things got really bad around home. Robert started drinking. Not much at first, but it steadily got worse. After a couple of months, Robert Rivers had become an alcoholic. At first it was just the drinking. It wasn't until a year after Mary's death that he started getting worse. Again, at first it was nothing. But after a few weeks it started getting even worse. Robert would come home drunk and he would take out his anger on Lacey and Kyle. As the weeks went on, they got more and more bruises on their bodies, but they were so scared to tell that they just dealt with it. Lacey lost the couple of friends she had, and she tried to be with her brother as much as possible.
Once Kyle turned 18, he moved out, promising Lacey she could stay with him. But it didn't work out that way. Robert knew enough to know that his children were going to try to run away, and so he made Lacey stay with him. They were still too scared to call anyone to report him. It was around the time Lacey turned 17 that she started cutting herself. The first time was a total accident, but after she realized the kind of release it gave her, she started doing it more and more frequently. On her 18th birthday, she tried to move in with Kyle, but Robert beat her until she agreed to stay. She developed insomnia, and she chose the night hours to go out and explore. To this day she sneaks out when her father is asleep to go venture about the town, keeping to herself as much as possible.

RP SAMPLEBeing a teacher was never as easy as it appeared. Kids were disrespectful, rude, and thought they were all that and a bag of chips, and it bugged the hell out of Will. The rest of the students had just filed out of the room after the bell, and the choir teacher was finally able to take a break while he waited for the next class. Was it his fault these kids didn't know a good song when they heard one? No. Did he want to be here in the first place? Not at all. Unfortunately he had to be.
Will walked to the back of the large choir room and into his office, pausing to glance into the mirror by the door. He still looked perfect. Except for the slight wrinkle in his light blue dress shirt. He walked up to the mirror and smoothed it down, his eyebrows pulled together in intense concentration. He missed his old life terribly, but there was no getting it back. And he had no other choice but to be a teacher and this damned school, so he might as well make the most of it.
Turning from the mirror, he glanced around his office, looking at the stack of music lying on the corner of his desk. It was an old spiritual he found exciting, but the kids apparently hated it. Which bugged Will. If the song wasn't good, he wouldn't have chosen it. He could hear a few students walking in, their laughter carrying all the way to his office. He might as well get out there and make sure they wouldn't do anything stupid. He glanced in the mirror again on the way out, a faint smile on his lips. He looked flawless. Even if he couldn't still be an actor, didn't mean he couldn't look like one.
The group of kids who had walked in glanced at him and headed towards their seats, still talking about whatever it was kids their age talked about. There was a piano in the middle of the room, facing the chairs where the students would sit, and Will walked towards it, sitting down on the bench. Kids started filing in one by one, all talking about different things. Will did not miss high school at all. And it sucked that he had to be a damn teacher here. No, he couldn't get over it.
The bell rang and Will stood, facing his class. They were all sitting in their seats on the risers, watching him. "Good morning class. I'm Mr. Sanders, your new choir teacher." He got a bunch of returned "good morning Mr. Sanders" back and a small smile played on his lips. He grabbed a pile of music off of the piano and started passing it out. "I figured we'd just start off by singing a song I'm sure you all know. Just so I can hear how you all sound so I can find something that suits this class." The students nodded, taking the music and passing it down the rows.
Will walked over to the piano, sitting down and placing his hands on the keys, waiting for everyone to get a copy. When he saw everyone was opened to the first page, his fingers started the song, the beginning of Jar of Hearts sounding as perfect as when the professionals played it in a concert. The class started singing along, and Will listened as closely as he could over the piano. He liked the sound of them, and he knew then that this class had great potential. Just then, the choir room door opened and Will turned, his fingers still flying over the keys.
