MADELYN GRACE BAILEY !?

'there's a fire in my heart, reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark'
hey there! so, tell us all about you... let's start off with the basics. what do we need to know?
"Um, hi, I suppose. I'm not sure how to go about doing this but...well, I'm Madelyn Grace Bailey, yeah, I'm perfectly aware that I have technically..three first names. I'm known by some stuff, daughter, Angel, Mad, Maddie, Grace even sometimes too. He...he. Anyway, I'm 17 going on 18 this end of summer beginning of fall, and I'm quite excited to be able to live on my own completely. I am human, but I've been digging around and I did notice that I have a witch grandmother....
Oh yeah, I'm a girl, if you couldn't tell. I'm a neutral, as I'm just going with the flow, I don't like to pick sides if I can in anything, it just causes conflict. So I do like boys, I'm not one of those swingers I call them, or bi who like either sex. I like my boys, though I just don't have a lot of luck with them, as I'm...quite shy, and I've really only had one good guy friend throughout my life - not including my brother or father."
so, a little birdy told me that you're pretty gorgeous... describe yourself.
"Why do you need to know that? I mean, isn't it kind of...obvious? -grins shyly- I'm uh...well, I'm a little above the average at 5'6.5", and I'm not sure what I weigh. It's not that I freak out about my weight, it's just that I'm not too worried about it, as I haven't seem to have changed in the size of clothes I wear...last I checked it was around I think like 130 something, I don't know. Some say I look a lot like this Jennifer Lawrence girl, though I'm not entirely sure how, yeah we have brunette hair, but so does most of the population of this planet. Umm..-looks around nervously- I have some bangs...somewhat that are longer, and I have light blue eyes people one time compared to an ocean during an interview about my book. That's really the only thing I guess we could say "distinguishes" me, besides the fact I have my own book....otherwise it's just....me. -smiles-
What about what you like to wear?
Umm...well I like to wear more...conservative clothing I guess you could call it. I'll have my random times in my room where...I'll feel daring, otherwise I stick with knee-length skirts, blouses, and longer shorts. It's not that I'm ashamed of my body it's just...what I prefer to wear. My mom says to leave some stuff to the imagination of the boys, it's just that I don't get any to look at me, so I guess it's all okay. -grins sheepishly-"
i'm sure that your personality is something else completely, tell me all about your self, can't wait to hear it!
"Umm...can I possibly give you a list of some stuff for this?
Whatever floats your boat, kid.
Oh, okay. -hands over a list-
likes
- bonfires, silk, hanging out, reading, writing, sleeping, daydreaming, pets, animals in general, music - playing the piano, dancing, learning, my golden retriever Lady and my Saluki, Prancer (I didn't name him)
dislikes
- liars, hatred, violence, arrogance, people who think they're better than everyone else, people recognizing me on the street as that "young girl author," getting shunned, sharks
Yeah ummm...I'm shy...if you can't tell. I don't know why, it's just, I don't talk all that much all the time. I'll speak when I have something to say, that's what I think, really. It's just, people get lost in translation, I like writing, it lets me freely express myself and if I want to, I don't need to show it to anyone. Even though I'm artsy, I can't draw to save my life, but I love photography and dance. Photography especially of just...stuff, every day little things, and people too. I tend to daydream a lot, since I'm alone a lot, but that usually means I'm getting into my imagination, or now as it's been labeled, I'm getting a precognitive sight or something. I don't really care. I just want to get out of college in one piece if possible, you know? I mean c'mon people, it was just a book, I didn't like...predict anything...did I?
Yeah, my mom likes to call me the "silent brave" girl, which I used to laugh at, but then I realized how stubborn I could be if someone pushed me to do something I felt was wrong. You know? I though...am not one to back down if it comes to someone hurting I cherish. This of course I realized could possibly change due to supernaturals being able to throw me around like a rag doll, but nonetheless, I like...being who I am I suppose, I like to be able to help people in my own little way.
Even with helping people in my own little way, since I've begun tapping into my...witch blood, it's gotten weird. I don't tell my mom, but now I'm seeing things. Things that you don't see. It's like not only premonitions but...who is that, Holmes? He sees everything and can tell someone their life story just by looking at them really. I've always been quite observant, though I'm finally learning how to apply it. - slowly-"
i would love to hear about your past, i'm sure it's oh so interesting...
"I suppose I can try and describe my mom, she's a business woman, works full-time, and always has since I was young. Her name's Jamie Bailey and she is turning 49 this year. Don't tell her I said that. I live with her and my dad, Gregory Bailey is an artist. Literally. He taught my photography and writing when I was young, and he's made a decent part of his living off paintings he's sold. My younger brother, who is deaf, named Lucas is adorable. I learned Sign Language so I know I can always speak with my adorable little brother.
I was born on August 2nd to Jamie and Gregory Bailey, who at that time were thrilled about having their first born, and having a daughter. I luckily came out just fine, and I soon was being raised in a nurturing environment - by my dad. As an infant up till I was about six months old, my mom doted on my constantly, though after that when she returned to work, my dad, who stayed at home with his work, took care of me, which equaled, just keeping an eye on me while I did what I pleased and he painted. He said he took me out a lot when I was a child - I believe him, out to fields and such in Michigan where we were for quite awhile. He did sculptures and such and helped to teach me right. It was odd though, as my dad was a left-handed person, I ended up being one too, despite my mom realizing this and getting....panicked for awhile, but she let it slide. When I was in first grade, my little brother was brought into the world. I adored him and still adore Lucas, my baby brother. When he was about two weeks old we realized he rarely reacted to us, only when he saw us. Taking him to the doctor, my mom and dad told me Lucas wasn't like me, that he couldn't hear. When that happened, my mom did what I'm not too sure was the best thing - she took me out of public school and home-schooled me with my own tutor named Naomi. Naomi was cool, and she even started to teach my little brother how to communicate through sign language.
Turns out, my brother can hear with hearing aids, and he can talk just fine mostly, but definitely prefers to sign. We remained in Lansing, Michigan till I turned 12. This was when first, I kept teaching my 6-year-old brother Sign Language, but also my parents began to realize how I would much prefer to spend time at home, photography, reading and writing rather than hanging with the few, good friends I actually had. Jamie attempted to get me into a sport, like swimming - failed. I was a little too awkward. Nevertheless, we moved and upon me entering high school with a 3.8 GPA, that was when I was introduced to an Ellis. His name's Asher, and to be honest - I couldn't believe I actually sat near him, due to our last names being moderately close. Course as I turned 16, I kept writing and then spoke to Lucas about publishing this book I had thought up, about vampires, demons, angels and such, with firetamers and this, and he agreed, eager. Gregory gave me a number to someone, and I got it published when I was 16. How's that for a sweet 16 birthday? Needless to say, it flew off the shelves, despite me thinking no one would buy it. I got recognized in the hall, since I hadn't bothered to use a pen name - oops, and Asher, a guy I randomly sat next to in math and such, still treated me just the same - I liked that.
Course now, I'm here, and my parents have since, split. I live with my mom, who's rarely home, and my brother Lucas lives with my dad and step-mom. Fun right? I skype my brother weekly to sign to him, and I even work as an interpreter on the side to help me pay for college, even though my mother has stashed my book money from all the...however much I got from my book till I turn 18 for college this fall.
talk to us about your character's past. their mother and father, and siblings they have. other people that they have in their life that carry any significance, include pets and wealth status. be reasonable about that one. and include a detailed overall history, aim for at least two long paragraphs not including the information about their specific family. make it interesting. "
