Being bored was something Salene hated, she needed to be doing something all the time, living for so long can become very annoying especially when you have nothing to do. She was lying on her bed staring at the ceiling, she could feel herself growing more and more frustrated with the situation, she needed to do something and she needed to do it now. Sighing loudly she threw herself up and jumped off the bed. Her semi naked body glistening in the candle light, she has a thing for candles. She walked over to the closest and looked at her wardrobe and sighed again as she couldn’t decide what to wear, why did everything have to be a struggle. Finally after a few minutes of staring absentmindedly into her clothing she grabbed a black pleated singlet shirt and a pair of plain black pants. She pulled then on over her miss-matched underwear and grabbed her knee length black high heeled boots out from under her bed. She plonked herself down on the bed and pulled them on.
She then jumped up and grabbed her silver cuff and slipped it on over her hand and settled it comfortably on her wrist and flew down the stairs of her three story home and grabbed her coat as left through the front door. She had no idea what she was going to do or who she was going to run into. It not like she had many friends anyway. No wonder she was always bored out of her mind. She walked down the street her heels clicking the pavement as she went. She walked and walked and finally she left the suburbs and entered the thick forest terrain. She wasn’t sure why but she always ended up here, it was like it called to her in some way. She wondered around for a little while just taking in everything that she passed, she had been here so many times and every time she came everything looked different. So it was always something different to look at. She soon came across a clearing in the middle of the tree and she looked up at the stars and smiled.
She was just at home staring at the ceiling and now she was here staring at the stars, some life she lived. She sat down on the soft grass and looked up at the different patterns and symbols of the stars. She ended up laying down on her back and she didn’t even noticed the storm clouds rolling in around the stars. It was rather warm out to night so the chances of a springtime story was likely. Soon large drops of water started to fall and splashed against her skin and soaked her clothes. She got to her feet and walked over to the cluster of tree nearby and settled under the branches. They were that thick the water didn’t even come through the leaves. In front of her in the clearing was like a thick misty wall, which was rain. Sighing she folded her arms over her chest and watched as the rain came bucketing down around her. A part of her wished she hadn’t left her home now. She didn’t really want to get soaking wet so she decided to wait were she was until it stopped.

Thunder rumbled in the distance as droplets of rain poured from the murky night sky, beating down on his warm body, stinging the exposed skin of his face and arms as he leisurely jogged through the forest; just as content as if it were a sizzling summer day. His enthusiasm for fitness was more than enough to keep him running for hours, let alone the desire to push himself further, refining his stamina and strength. He wanted to see how long he could go, but inconveniently, thirst was becoming a major distraction. Thirst for blood. Only about a half an hour ago, he began to experience a tingling sensation in his veins, a rather agitating one at that, and now his muscles lightly ached as if they were slowly being sucked dry of their life-force.
Something inside him was changing. Deep down he knew it, but he still wanted to deny it so badly. All those people he slaughtered because of his hunger; their deaths were all because of his lack of self-control. Those memories still haunted his conscience, and the murders he unknowingly committed while in his stages of frenzy, filled his sleep in the form of violent nightmares. If only he knew how to accept this part of himself, he would be complete. He would then truly be stronger, for who he was, .. what he was.
He stumbled while running, rolling into a tall field of grass closely shrouded by towering, dark pines. Landing on his backside, he closed his eyes, exhaling heavily as the rain continued to dump onto his limp, yet burning, body. Normally he had a better chance of morphing into a woman than tripping accidentally, but considering the fact that his scheduled feeding was off by several hours, his system was depressing. In a way, it was intensely addicting exposing himself to such a state, which actually made him feel rather human again; something that was taken from him unwillingly without warning. He was losing hope of ever being able to regain control of himself fully. Maybe he was doomed all along to be a bloodsucking leech like the devious wench nurse that attacked him to begin with. Would he ever be able to sate his desires?
For a moment, he pitied himself. It wasn't long before he shut it down only a few seconds later, knowing nothing good would come of it. It was weak and foolish. Lightning struck and thunder exploded from the menacing clouds, distracting him from his thought process. It was then, that he caught a scent in the air, of a woman not too far away. The scent itself was different than what he was acclimated to; a unique blend he hadn't sensed before, which immediately intrigued him. Sitting up slowly to lean on his muddied palms, he peered over the top of the thick, shifting grass, his searching brown irises now delicately laced with shards of yellow and orange around the pupils.

Lightning flashed overhead and thunder boomed straight after, she smiled at its sound. She loved thunder storms. She wished that she was at home though; she hated being stuck out in the rain. She definitely had a love at relationship with thunder storms. She looked down and found a nice tree root that was sticking out of the ground; it was dry so she could only think of one thing to do with it. She parked her backside down on the root and continued to watch the thick veil of water that was pelting down in front of her. She couldn’t even see the other side of the clearing. It was a down fall of her ‘condition’. Her human side was always a bitch, she had super speed and strength and all the other awesome vampire traits but she was doomed with poor eye sight. Her eyes might be big and bright but it was just for show. At this moment she didn’t really care what was going on, on the other side of the clearing, just watching the rain come down was good enough.
More lightning and more thunder, the seemed to be coming down harder. It didn’t look like she was going to be going home anytime soon. It didn’t really matter though she was enjoying herself here just relaxing. Suddenly through the rain veil something caught her eyes, she wasn’t sure if it something was actually there because of her stupid eyes, but she couldn’t help but look in that direction she was sure there was something there. There didn’t seem to be any more movement in that direction, sighing she looked away again. Then the wind changed and something reached her senses. It was a vampire, a pure vampire. This made her smile but she was also worried, what it he or she was dangerous; she was in just to go a mood to be in a brawl tonight. She looked over to the place she thought she saw something and was surprised to see something. It was a person, a male. It was the vampire she could smell, perhaps she should pretend like he wasn’t there
No she couldn’t do that and she slowly stood up her back against the tree trunk. She didn’t make any sudden movements or make and loud noises. Thought of what her next move would be were running rough her head. Should she just duck backwards into the tree, face the rain and go home or should she wait, wait to see what this vampire would do. Well she decided almost straight away that she wasn’t going to run, that would be just cowardly and she would be angry with herself forever if she did. She just waited watching the blur in the rain. It felt like forever just standing there waiting for him to make a move. She was growing impatient and a little bored, she had to do something. Sighing at the thought of stepping out into the rain she rolled her eyes and stepped out into the warm rain, her hair and her clothes instantly becoming drenched. She stepped out into the middle of the clearing and focused her eyes on the vampire. “Nice weather were having aint we” she said not know what to say. She felt like a fool but it was a good enough ice breaker as any.

Those peculiar, striking eyes settled on the form of a dark haired woman approaching. As he stood to his feet, he could see her more clearly in the humid air as the distance between them lessened, realizing she wasn't an average human, or maybe not human at all. Typically, humans weren't wandering around at night in the middle of a forest, especially alone. It was dangerous... and for good reason.
If she was actually something other than human like his instinct was so adamantly screaming at him to acknowledge, it would be his first close and personal meeting with a supernatural since his violent incident. Inside he secretly recoiled from her, every layer of sinuous muscle of his core and arms tightened to a very slight degree, tingling with anticipation of contracting, ready for anything. However, despite his hidden tension, he stood restraining himself, motionless, watching with interest... though in a subtle, predatory way. "They say.. the most stunningly beautiful things in this world.. are the things that are the most dangerous.." His voice was deep, but firm enough to be discerned over the rhythmic splashing of the rain. With narrowed eyes, a devilish grin crossed his face, nonchalantly exposing his prominent, elongated canines, which peeked out from beneath his lips.
"What are you doing out here.. all by yourself?" He stepped closer until he was mere feet from her, his eyes tracing the outline of her form in a slow, yet hungry manner. It was uncertain what he would do next, even if she attempted to read his thoughts, she wouldn't hear much. "No.. don't answer. I don't care. What I want to really know is.. what are you?" Was she some sort of mesmerizer that could alter his thoughts and senses enough to influence him to believe he was going a little crazy? Or was he dead on? He had to know. He didn't care that they were complete strangers, or if he made her uncomfortable. The vibes he readily devoured like a drug through his senses were alarmingly intoxicating, especially her fear. It was all too much.
Suddenly, without warning, he whipped his body away from her with a sort of whimpering groan, clutching his abdomen with both arms as he bent over in a coughing frenzy. The episode only lasted a few seconds, but he knew something was wrong. He propped his palms on his knees, still hunched over. Thin strands of saliva mixed with rain dripped from his parted mouth, only to be spat away onto the ground. His mind was slipping away, he could feel his body revolting against himself, craving substance. It wasn't long before he would lose control.

The rain was pelting down against her skin and it was refreshing. So much for not wanting to get wet, oh well bit late now. There was a brief pause in words after she spoke the only sound was the rain and the low rumbling of the thunder overhead, the occasional flash of lightning lit up the clearing, allowing her stupid human eyes to see the vampire in front of her. He was young looking but hey so was she, she hid the fact that she was over a century old quite well. She could sense that he was young in appearance and young in the mind, she could tell that he hadn’t been a vampire long. Poor thing, he was probably just minding his own business one night and BAM he was thrown into a world of blood and chaos. It was okay for her because she was born with half her genes being vampiric. She hasn’t really known anything different. She was lucky though she still had some human emotions and thoughts about her. You could say it was easier for her.
After what felt like forever he spoke, his words made her smile as she believed the same thing. Beauty was dangerous and that’s the good thing about it, it was deceiving and you just can’t tell sometimes. “Yes very true” she responded feeling herself relax, it was a stupid thing to do when your around a complete stranger but he didn’t worry her anymore. He was young and probably crazed with the thirst but that was okay it wasn’t anything she couldn’t handle. Even though if anything did happen then it would ruin her night completely and she would be kinds of pissed off, but hey that’s what comes with wandering around the woods in the late hours of the night in the flogging down rain. She should have expected nothing less. She just wished she could see him better, stupid poor eyesight and stupid blanket of thick water that was the rain. She couldn’t help but smirk a little bit at his words, he clearly didn’t realise what she was, otherwise he wouldn’t show concern.
He stepped closer to her now, which was good she could see him a little better, she could make out his obvious canines and she smirked, this fellow didn’t even care who saw his extra bits. That was a mistake a lot of young vampires made, you just don’t know who is watching, it why a lot of young vampire get killed, hunters are cunning and deceiving, they use vampire pheromones to confuse the young, for all he knew she could have been a hunter pretending to be a vampire. Anyway getting back to his question so was just about to answer him with a smart ass reply but she was cut off by his next statement. This made her smirk even now, he had finally clicked that she wasn’t exactly normal. “Hmm, look closely and you will see that I’m not that different from yourself” he said her eyes flashing a jade green and her canine extending down to her bottom lip. She wasn’t exactly like him but she was close enough to what he was; besides he was asking after all.
Suddenly he just whipped around away from her, making her cock an eyebrow. What was he doing? The rain had lightened in their conversation so she could see him a little better now. He coughed and splattered for a few seconds and then it stopped and he was hunched over his hands on his knees. She knew what was wrong with him, he was hungry and he had been starving himself, it was clear that he wasn’t hid of all his humanity yet, it wouldn’t take long till he had none left at all. But as she watched him she felt a little bad for him and felt as though she needed to help him, which was weird as she didn’t feel anything towards anyone else ever, this was a strange feeling for her. She then stepped a little closer to him her guard was up again. She didn’t touch him she just spoke. “Your hungry aren’t you” was all she said, she needed to keep him think, she didn’t want the thirst to take him over completely it was just so much harder calming down a thirst crazed vampire.

Gripping his knees tighter, he closed his eyes and sighed, frozen; arguing internally with himself. Her scent was more potent now that she was soaking wet in the rain and inches from him. He felt like a piece of juicy steak was being dangled in front of him, much like when he met Darby earlier this same day. Somehow he managed to get himself under control after that occurrence, but he was losing hope in himself now.. the desire to feed was more intense than he had experienced in a long time.. years even. Was he going to turn into a psycho blood draining machine? His mind wandered towards an experience in his past..
Late one night, a few minutes before midnight, someone entered his hospital room, slipping past the parted doorway with a sound that resembled dull nails dragging along its surface. He could of swore he made out the sounds of the door being shut and locked as well. The unusual noises were enough to wake him from his light state of sleep; for it never came to him easily in unfamiliar places anyway. His eyes paced suspiciously through the dimly lit room, but found nothing. Minutes passed. Still nothing. But just as he was starting to relax and slip back into sleep, something heavy landed on top of his torso and lap, restraining his arms under its weight. It was the nurse that had been trying to seduce him, or at least resembled that nurse. She had fangs, black irises and blood smeared over the lower half of her face, chest, and staining her tight, blue scrubs. He yelled at her to get off him and struggled against her furiously, but it was futile, she was too powerful, even for his size and strength. Aaron had never been so frightened and so turned on all at once, but his devious state of excitement swiftly fleeted as her face flew down to his shoulder, drilling those canines into his exposed flesh.
Wincing, he forced those images out of his head. The time he spent after his initial feeding craze after turning was actually rather peaceful and systematic, but now things were rocky and unstable, even his thought processes were being altered. Sure, he was somewhat vulnerable to hunters, but he welcomed the action. Why hide what he was? What was he living for anyway? His business? It was more of just.. well.. existing. His family was dead to him and he was on his own. He couldn't go back to them and have witness what he is now. It would disturb them. Sometimes he just wanted to give up.
Considering he had been fighting himself, his body began to calm, allowing his mind to relax enough to think logically. He listened to her and reasoned in his head. The image of the woman standing beside him with fangs and unnaturally green eyes flashed into his mind. Erecting and turning himself to look upon her, he knew. No.. she wasn't that different from him. She wasn't starving mad or attacking him, it was obvious enough that she was, as much as he didn't want to admit it to his ego, better at controlling herself despite being vampiric in nature. His lips pursed together as he briefly clenched his teeth, listening to her words pointing out his weakened state. "You.. have.. no idea." he said uneasily. "I need to.. leave.. " He glanced away from her, suddenly feeling a little light headed and short of breath. "Now.." Although he was being honest, something kept him chained in place. It was near impossible for any human to make out his face in this weather and darkness, but for her, there was a chance she could pick up the faint outline of his fangs, which had noticeably lengthened from their earlier appearance, one of many definite warning signs he was about to do something drastic.
Hitting his breaking point, he finally gave in, silently lurching forward with unnatural speed to grab and tightly pull her against him. However, would he go through with it despite remembering minutes ago, how he felt when he had been forcibly taken?

Salene feared the worse as she spoke, he didn’t respond he didn’t even show any sign that he had heard her at all. Was it too late? Was he already past breaking point? It was just her luck, stumbling across a thirst crazed vampire in the middle of a thunder storm. She was here now there was no turning back now. In her day she has come across a few fresh vamps and a lot of them don’t want to give in to the thirst. Which in reality does more harm than good, if you learn to control yourself when you feed you can feed without killing, but if you let yourself starve you turn into a monster that if in the wrong place at the wrong time can kill more people than necessary. It was just lucky for him that he was in the middle of the woods and in the presence of a vampire with some decent experience. He was still hunched over clutching his knees. She didn’t know what to do with him. She needed to know if he was going to get hostile or not. Hopefully not but she was ready for anything.
Finally he spoke; he as right she really didn’t have any idea what it was like to have the thirst take over. Her human side let her go weeks without having to drink blood. She really would never know what it’s like to be pushed to the edge of breaking point. She didn’t say anything she didn’t really know what to say. She wasn’t going to stop him from leaving, there was a piece of her that didn’t want him to leave and by the looks of it there was something in him that didn’t want to leave either, as he stayed glued in the same spot. She watched closely and her eyes narrowed as his fangs started to grow longer, she knew why they were doing that he had lost it almost all of his self-control had left his body, it was just a waiting game now, it could take only seconds of him to completely lose it and either attack her or take off and attack someone else or it could take longer. She hoped it would take longer as she needed to think how she was going to deal with the situation at hand.
It was like time stood still after that moment, the rain still poured down and the lightning still cracked over the clearing making it look like it was day time for a brief moment and the thunder still rolled through the air like a wave. But nothing seemed to happen with him. It was like he was frozen in time and Salene was left standing there alone in the clearing. Instantly she took advantage of the situation, turning thoughts over and over in her head, would see reason with him, with words or would she just have to beat it out of him? The last thought made her smirk to hers, all the while her eyes were still trained on him, he was closer to her now and she could better make him out now. It felt like hours just standing there with nothing happened when in reality it had only been a minute or two. For Salene time always seems to stand still for her, being around for so long that tends to happen to you. A flash of lighting overhead flashed, causing her to take her eyes off him.
Before she even got the chance to look back to him he had reached out at break neck speed and took a hold of her and pulled her into him. The sudden outburst had taken the wind straight out of her; a small gasp left her lips. What was he planning on doing, giving her a hug or was he going to try and take a bite out of her, a small growl sounded in her throat. He was strong for a youngling but all in all she was stronger and he might be crazy with the thirst didn’t really match up to her as she had only just feed not long ago, it was still strong in her veins. Perhaps she should just let him drink from her she was strong enough to stop him if he went too far and then he would be able to hold out a normal conversation with her. She lent in closer to him, she was already pressed up against him but there was no harm in getting a little closer. “Hmm, how did you know I liked it rough” she said the teasing bitch coming out in her now; she was actually enjoying herself, for once. “Go on, you know you want to” she said inviting him to do his worst.

Fortunately for her, she chose not to struggle, otherwise Aaron might have made a mess of her in his zeal. She was after all part human. He could sense it, tasting it in the air; he could smell the intoxicating perfume of her skin, and hear and feel the throb of her heart. His strong arms had pulled her tight and close against him, but not in a death grip like some overgrown snake constricting its prey, it was more of a grip of someone holding onto something valuable and precious, like the security of his very life force was hinging on this woman in his arms and if he let her go he would be pining for something he desperately needed. He wasn't in his right mind, his mind wasn't clear at all, but Aaron did enjoy fits of indulgence now and again. Sure, she was probably much older than him and experienced, but did she have an equal amount of crazed determination to control him if he went too far?
A devilish grin grew as his lips neared her flesh, his irises gradually firing up to a deep tangelo orange hue with flecks of brighter orange scattered around near the pupils and a very thin line of black bordering the irises themselves, which was their typical intense state to become right before feeding, stimulated by his hunger. He closed his eyes and drew closer to her, his mouth watering as the tip of his nose lightly grazed her neck, lips following suit. Time seemed to slow dramatically as he savoring the moment, primarily focusing on her, especially reveling in her smell. How he had wanted for so long to taste the blood of another supernatural. He was pleased enough with meeting one, but now, she was presenting her body to him to feed, what a treat. One of his arms pulled away from her to allow him to gently move her hair or clothing out of the way, exposing the bare flesh of his intended feeding place. Normally, Aaron wouldn't have allowed himself to feed on another so carelessly, but he was alone and heavily tempted.
A few seconds later his mouth delicately cradled the flesh of her shoulder between his teeth, sharp fangs lightly gripping her, piercing the skin of her trapezius muscle, pulling her slightly tighter against him, as if subconsciously reassuring himself she wasn't going to escape. A low growl rumbled softly in his throat against her, which was almost inaudible amongst the pouring rain as he suddenly and firmly sank his teeth deeper, tasting the hybrid blood as it trickled into his awaiting mouth.
At first he drank heavily, but then eased back as he felt his body lose its edge of tension from receiving a fresh ration, which relieved his nerves. It wasn't going to be enough to satisfy him, but he could at least go home without attacking someone on the way to get the rest of the blood he needed. She tasted wonderful, like an exotic fruit mixed with spices. Now he definitely was going to follow through with starting his business and tasting other types, it was too irresistible not to. After getting just enough, he felt his mind snap back into clarity and he eased away from her, his fangs and body slowly retracting away from her. He wiped the excess blood off with his arm and grinned, watching her, grateful for her offering. "..Thanks." He said coolly. "Tell me.. would you like anything in return for what you have given me?" It was the least he could do for meeting a stranger, which was kind enough to empathize with him and even feed him. Granted, he was a little suspicious, but it was still one of the nicest things someone had done for him in a long time. He was willing to do just about anything she requested in order to express his appreciation.
By now the rain had ceased its downpour, taming to a mild mist. The sky was still dominantly murky and black, but with holes in the clouds for the faint stars to shed their light.

Salene felt like she was being naughty here, all pressed up against this very sexy vampire, if only her father could see her now, Ha! He had a hold of her tightly but not tight enough to crush her. She might have under estimated his power; now that he had hold of her she could feel the strength in his arms. She wasn’t frightened of him though, if he wanted to hurt her he would have done it by now, especially in his state. There must still be some small enough of his sanity still lingering. She took hold of his sides as really she didn’t have a choice she was flattened against him, she couldn’t help but smirk a little bit, it was rather nice. Her eyes racked across his face and his devilish grin made her want to laugh out loud. He was rather alluring; it seemed that she would let him do whatever he wanted to her without complaint. There must be something going on in her mind as she wouldn’t have stood for this, ten years ago. She had spent so long hiding herself from the world, curled up in a little ball not caring about anything or anyone, but now she was returning to the surface, poking her head out for some fresh air, just because she was half vampire didn’t mean she had to be evil.
She could feel him getting closer and closer to her skin and she succumbed to him, she even tilted her head to the side so head could get a better grip on her flesh. She could feel his breath upon her skin and it made her shiver with delight, it wasn’t often she was touched like this and it was surprisingly pleasant, she didn’t want him to let go of her, after all she was a woman after all, a woman that still possessed some human traits. The touch from a strong sexy male wasn’t something she was going to say no to, even if he was a vampire and on the verge of losing all self-control. After a moment he let one arm loosen and she was about to move again, but she didn’t. If she wanted to get away from him she could have easily done it but she didn’t move, she stayed put moving her arms around him a little more freely. It felt like forever, them standing there in the rain wrapped up in each other’s embrace, she was happy there she didn’t want to move at all. She had to keep telling herself over and over not to get attached to this one; he was a freshling he was going to leave as soon as he got what he wanted from her. They all did that.
Finally the pleasurable pain of his bite made her knees go weak; a small gasp let her lips. It had been a long time since she let another feed from her, but it’s a feeling you never forget but can never prepare yourself for. She held onto him as he drank from her, she felt as though she would have collapsed with pain and pleasure if she didn’t hold onto him, even though he had a mighty hold of her it didn’t matter. She could feel her blood leaving her blood and she closed her eyes. She couldn’t give as much blood as a full vampire but she would be able to give him enough for him to not kill everything he comes across on his way home. After a short while he stopped sucked and slowly pulled away from her. She grinned as he wiped her precious essence from his lips. She licked her finger a rubbed it over the bite marks on her skin. The puncture holes closed up but the marks still shone red on her skin. It took her a little longer to heal, stupid human blood. She dropped her arms from around him and took a step backwards. She pushed a few strands of her black wet hair out of her face and cleared her throat. The silence was awkward, but it wasn’t long until he spoke.
“Very welcome” she said cracking her neck. The rain had almost stopped and the slight drizzle coated her skin. She was already saturated it didn’t matter anymore. Although she did want to be dry again. She thought about his question for a moment and smirked to herself. There were several things that she would want from him but the more she thought about it the more she was turned away from the situation. “Well I would like company, to walk me home” she said smirking. There was something about him that made her feel that she was talking to her brother. It was very interesting.

So what, Aaron indulged a little… on a complete stranger. He had to admit to himself that he definitely didn't trust himself while such a strong state of hunger was rearing its ugly head. He was weak minded and aggressive, and ate or drank anything on a whim when he let things spiral out of control. Having his wits about him again, he chuckled softly, realizing what had just happened, his striking citrus hued eyes trailing along the tops of the trees and dark clouds in the distance. It felt rather awkward feeding off a stranger that wasn't dead afterwards or running away beforehand, although, it did make him feel like less of a monster and it was clear that he was starting to like this woman.
He paid close attention to her, watching her expressions closely as he listened attentively. Company? Walk her home? It was unwise for him to spend too much time away, although an hour or two at most couldn't hurt. He could stand being in his sopped clothes for that long and he wouldn't yet feel edgy until after that amount of time. He would have plenty of time to get home and finish his feeding. But, before he spoke, he chewed on her answer for a moment. A woman leading a stranger back to her home, without an ounce of caution? What a strange one. "Company it is then. Lets go.." he spoke softly, glancing back at her with a grin.
It had been a long while since he let himself "follow" someone, especially a woman. He felt the need to protect them, to be the one caught in the fire if he was so needed, not the other way around. He wasn't fond of the feeling of not being the lead, it wasn't in his nature to do things without question, but he was in the mood to be adventurous. Being in the warm, soaking rain in the late hours of night had a way of changing his mind. He didn't put up any resistance, seeing as he just wanted to please this mysterious woman; return the favor and go home. His plans hardly ever followed through the way he intended them to though.

Salene was delighted that he was willing to walk her home. She was delighted? What the hell? First she let a complete stranger feed from her and now she was delighted that he was walking her home. There was defiantly something strange going on here. Was she just becoming soft again? There wasn’t anything wrong with that, not really anyway. She hadn’t been friendly or soft towards anyone since Frankie was killed and that was for good reason. She didn’t want to get close to anyone from fear that they would be taken away from her again. First her father abandoned her, then her lover Frankie was killed and she was betrayed by someone she thought was her best friend, jealously was defiantly a big killer these days. Was there something about this freshling that was reminding her of Frankie, making her open her heart again? She really was good a first impressions. Even though she had only known this vampire for less than an hour she truly believed that he was the one to bring her out of this protective shell she was in. She trusted him for some reason. It was freaking her out.
She looked around the clearing searching for the path she had used to get there in the first place. She finally spotted it off to her left and turned back to the vampire. She linked her arm in with his and started to walk towards the hidden path. It was strange as it felt kind of right holding his arm the way she was. It was like she had known him for years and it was just a friendly stroll through the woods with an old buddy. It was strange how those feeling worked. Since Frankie she had never allowed herself to have friends but now it just seemed right, besides it was about time she had a friend life was lonely these days. “So, my name is Salene” she said giving him a sideways glance and a little smirk. “And if you ever want to feed from me again feel free” she said looking out at the path before her. She knew that it was hard to control oneself when feeding when you had such little experience, if he feed from her till he got the hang of it then there wouldn’t be numerous dead humans turning up all over town. “It’s a struggle at first but it gets easier, trust me” she finished.

Company like this was nice for a change. Even though their meeting was awkward initially, it melted away into some minor, unforeseen level of closeness. It was obvious that she was taking to him faster than he was to her, but he was more than willing to get to know her, and being quite receptive to her advances of friendship. Somehow, Aaron had managed to find a semi-nonaggressive vampire like himself. It was slightly unnerving, due to his mind telling him it was a trap, but she didn't seem the slightest bit tense to him, just the opposite. Despite this evidence, he still kept his guard up partially.
As she wrapped her arm around his, he contently pushed his hand into his pocket, inevitably pulling her a little closer to his side without meaning to. "Pleasure to meet you Salene. I'm Aaron." he said, not glancing back at her, but a wide grin remained on his face, as he was partially lost in thought, considering what she had said about feeding him again. It was nice to have options like that. "I'll have to take you up on that offer sometime." She tasted delicious, and he knew for sure he would be coming back for another round, but he wasn't going to outright say that just yet, he was enjoying her company and didn't want to scare her off unintentionally. She seemed to know quite a lot about controlling the hunger urges, something he respected because he didn't quite have it down. Aaron wasn't much of a talker, more of the strong, silent type that mulls things over and speaks only when needed, or if it's necessary to meet a goal.
He walked with her quietly, enjoying her presence, but paused abruptly for a moment, hearing a twig snap in the far distance under the weight of something heavy. It was an unusual sound, but very quiet, one that Salene may or may not have picked up on. The volume of his voice had dropped to a very quiet tone as he spoke, "We need to leave.. I was followed." His expression was hard and serious as his face turned to her, though not looking directly upon her, moreso into the darkness behind her.

Salene smiled to herself not really paying attention to that around her, she listened to Aaron’s voice next to her and that was about it. She really felt safe with him next to her. Usually she wouldn’t have ever let her guard down never ever. She was content just strolling along with nothing to worry about. She was glad to know that he was pleased to have met her as she did him. She could in his voice that he meant it. He then told her that he would have to take her up on her offer to let him feed from her again and she smiled again. She was glad that he was at least willing to give feeding from her a try while he learnt to control his urges to kill whilst feeding. “I’m glad” she said smiling, “It’s important to be on familiar ground when learning all there is to know about feeding without being a monster” she finished wiping some rain water of her face. It had stopped now and she could feel herself drying slowly. By the time she got home she would probably be completely dry. After that they walked in silence but it wasn’t an awkward silence well she didn’t think so as well. She let the memory of his hold on her and his teeth piercing her skin wash over her, before pushing it away.
She was that relaxed and content with herself and with Aaron that the distant twig snap entered her ears but didn’t even register as anything out of the ordinary. She thought absolutely nothing of it. Really if you weren’t paranoid of being followed or anything of such you really wouldn’t have thought anything of it, it could have just been an animal or something. So when he suddenly paused and she was pulled back by their entwined arms she was confused and a little shock. She looked back to Aaron and opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by him. She frowned a little at his words, who would have followed him? She saw his serious and deadly expression on his face and knew that he wasn’t messing around and that they could very well be in some danger. She followed his gaze into the darkness, but she was no good to him for spotting something in the darkness her human eyes where just plain useless. She really shouldn’t hunt on her own at night. She let all her guards come back up and her listeners scanned around for any noises. “What should we do?” she asked, not sure whether or not he intended to run or fight, from his words running was the go.

Aaron's face took on a paler tone, as if the blood from his very skin had drained from his face, stealing the warm tones from his flesh. He didn't look alarmed or startled, but rather vexed instead, as if he had been expecting this event to occur. He didn't like cutting her off, but it was of utter importance to alert her. With a heavy, silent sigh, he calmed his composure, not wanting to cause unease to his newly made acquaintance, even though there were good reasons for it. He knew they had some time, just enough time to escape the area, but would it be enough to lose it again?
He paused, debating with himself for a brief moment before making several solid decisions, which he was going to enforce, if she liked it or not. He hesitated telling her what exactly was going on, but finally after a minute or so it came out, his voice again very soft. "Werewolf. We'll go to my place. It's safe there." He turned slowly to her, looking straight into her eyes, almost giving her a sad, pleading look. It was unlikely she was going to just drop everything and follow him into his territory, but then again she seemed like the type to go along with things, so it was possible. He didn't want to fight the thing chasing them, for it was stronger than him on this night and he knew it. "We don't have much time." If she did stay, he knew that they would encounter it, and they could possibly defeat it together, but it was highly unlikely considering its fighting experience.
Turning, he glanced into the darkness again, searching for signs of movement, but there were none. A good sign. They could make it to his place scott free if they left now. Pulling his hand out of his pocket, he reached for her hand to pull her along into a run, and just then another twig snapped, this time quieter, along with a faint, yet low toned growl in the far distance from somewhere in the trees. If she resisted, he would pick her up and force her to go along, she really had no choice, if she was aware of it or not. He would explain later when they arrived at his place in one piece what was going on.

Random sounds entered her ears; there were birds in the trees the trickling of water from leaves on the trees, the breeze dancing between the trees. There was just so much to listen to it was confusing, her eyes darted all over the place trying to catch a glimpse at what was making the sounds around her but nothing seemed to be there, damn her useless eyes. She looked back to Aaron and she could tell by the expression on his face that he was thinking of what to do next, she trusted his instincts as he knew of what it was that was hunting them. It felt like hours just standing there not saying anything, or nothing happening. She just wanted to keep moving, not that she was scared or anything she just hated not knowing what was after her. It wasn’t very often she was in this kind of situation. She usually stayed close to home or hunted in a more populated area like a club. Finally he spoke again his voice was soft but she was able to hear him clearly. He made it known that he had a werewolf after him, well it was now after both of them. She swallowed the lump in her throat. “Oh crap that’s not very good now is it” she said softly.
Thinking for only a moment whether or not she should go back to his house with him, but then again she had just invited him back to her house and trusted he trusted her enough to agree why shouldn’t return that favour. She nodded to his question and looked at him as he looked at her. It was a strange look on his face. It was genuinely concerned for her wellbeing, if he said it was safe at his place then she believed him. “Okay I’ll go with you” she said looking into the darkness again but not being able to see much she grew frustrated and looked back at Aaron, at least she could see him. He pulled his hand out of his pocket causing her to drop her arm from around his but it wasn’t long till her skin was touching his again he reached over and took hold of her hand. His hand was so much bigger than his and if she was fragile in that sense he probably would have crushed it. Suddenly he was running pulling her along, at first she stumbled over her own feet from the shock of the sudden pulling movements but it didn’t take long to get it together. A faint growl entered her ears but she didn’t look back to trusted him to lead the way.
