Arabella stretched out on her blanket at the park. It was a warm sunny day and she was going to enjoy herself. Her sister was still out at her friends so there was peace and quiet. Not that she thought her sister was annoying, Arabella just needed a break from her once in a while. She loved anne, but man that girl could talk. Sometimes hours upon hours the girl would go on about random stuff. Now Arabella was a very bubbly person herself, but she wasn't a talk-a-holic. Her sister was to soft as well, she took pity to easily. While Arabella on the other hand was hard like a rock when needed. She had to, she grew up when she was nine years old. Even before her parents death she had a strong spirit. She knew when to fool around and when to get serious. Anne was just in a little daze all the time. Being bubbly and cute and all the junk. She always saw the good in people, no matter what they were. I mean Anne once took pity for a demon! A demon, can you believe it? After what they did to their parents, she was unbelievable. But again, that was Anne, the pure child.
Arabella had a bag of taco bell to her left which she had not eaten yet and at that moment her stomach gurgled. She sat up, crossing her legs so she wouldn't flash anyone. Her dress was dark blue and fit in all the right places on Arabella. She was a tiny thing for how much food she consumed on a daily basis. Anne was the same way, they were two really small people. Arabella was quick though, and a brilliant runner. She loved running when she was small and her quickness saved her from a lot of life threatening encounters. One time she was fighting a Faerie and they were dueling it out. She was about to be pegged with a foot long blade if she hadn't pushed her legs fast enough to get behind a wall. Arabella was quick in the mind to, able to make fast decisions on short notice. That's how her brain worked, even as a child. She came up with answers in seconds. If she didn't directly know the answer she would use context clues and find it out that way. She took pride her all of her abilities, she thanked the heavens every night for them.
Arabella, as hungry as she was, took her time eating her food. She would have ate them quickly but she was in public and she wanted to enjoy them with the nice weather. She took in every bite slowly, actually tasting the food. While she ate she looked at the setting around her. There were so many happy children running around with their parents and a young couple on a date. Life was so amazing, she wished she could go back in time and cherish all the time she had with her parents. If they were still alive she would have gotten a boyfriend by now. Her father would sit him down and have a long talk that would have included many threats if he didn't treat me right. She smiled at the thought, missing her parents very much. She was so grateful for her sister, the person she could count on for everything. When Arabella was finished eating, she laid back on her blanket and started to day dream. After a little while she grew bored despite the beautiful sky she was gazing at.
She sat up again and looked around, Arabella noticed that there were a thick settling of tree's. Curious and bored she stood up and made her way gracefully to it. She only had her blanket there and she was sure that no one would steal that. Coming closer to the forest she noticed there was a little dirt path. Smiling Arabrlla took the path and then the trail ended. Arabella frowned but continued anyways. As she got deeper into the forest the chatter of the park went away. All she could here was birds and the peaceful quietness of nature. Then just a few minutes later she heard a deafening boom straight a head. She was on alert instantly, crouched slightly. She put protective spells around her immediately. As soon as she did Arabella took off at full speed. She was running through branches and she would have destroyed her dress if she didn't have the spell around her. Finally she came to a clearing and smoke was about. Through it she tried spotting the person that caused it.

Whatever the reason he had come out here in the first place was lost on him now. He just...felt like he had to come out here, and having brought a backpack along with him, suited for hiking and carrying things, he had set himself down on a rock, allowing the sun to bathe him as his eyes browsed over a book his mother had sent him from Germany about three months ago. It was a book on their family history, her telling him he should start to learn about their history. Nevertheless, he was excited, and muttered in German, "Unsere Familiengeschichte ist nichts besonderes..." (our family history is nothing special..) Whatever the reason was, he would obey and scan through it. Pushing his sunglasses up on his nose a bit, he was also particularly glad that he also had the damn day off. Idiots, chasing them all down and figuring things out, keeping all the cops in line. He just didn't feel like it. Especially not on a day like today. Running a hand through his dark brown hair, he started at the beginning of course, and started off over 1200 years ago with what he figured would be the pair of what this book called them, "witches." Frowning, he pressed on, adjusting, muscles moving as he did so. Was he wearing a shirt? Hell no, not on a lovely day like this outside, let him get some actual color, even if he didn't tan all that well, like the Irish.
Scowling slightly, he then closed the book after awhile, lounging on the rock that was pretty well placed near a small creek. Stretching out, feeling like a cat, the male then rolled onto his stomach and rummaged into his bag, setting the book back in there and then grabbing an apple and munching on it. He reached into the pocket on his pants and then produced the gems he had found only a few days earlier when he'd run into that woman who claimed to be well into her fifties at least. Yeah right. It had taken a lot of his self-control to not cuff he and check her into a psych ward. Spinning the gems in his fingers as if it were dice in his hand, the male suddenly jumped and fell off the rock, when one of the gems shot off his hand and into the nearby water. What the hell? The energy and pushed him back and he fell backwards, grunting when he landed on his back. "Bloody hell." he cursed, standing up and brushing his jeans off, stalking over to the water, peering down to where the gem was. Tilting his head, he jumped when the gem jumped up and floated on the surface of the running water. Just...floating there. Wide-eyed, he reached down and picked it up, looking at it, testing for strings or something. Nothing just...the ruby.
Tucking them away, he shook his head, and inhaled slowly, someone was cooking at the park. Granted he was pretty far away, but still! The smell tasted delicious, though he had his own food here with him. Wiggling his fingers as he thought about it, he then allowed his thoughts to drift to the gems, why he had wanted them so badly. Made him think. Pondering silently, he then produced the pair of gems, the ruby and the emerald, looking down at them. Ticked, he swore. He wasn't even sure why he suddenly got pissed, but he did. Throwing the stones, the moment they hit, an echoing boom! erupted. Erik grunted and landed on his butt once more, wide-eyed, looking towards where the gems had landed. What the hell had that been? Standing up, he quickly slid on his button-down shirt, leaving it unbuttoned as he went to investigate, but not straying too far from where he had been camped. Suddenly, staying near the river, he looked down to notice a crater, about the width of a dinner plate and about two feet deep. Peering down, he was stunned. The emerald was at the bottom, gleaming up at him like it was innocent. Reaching in, he pulled it out and looked at it. What the hell were these things? Suddenly turning, hearing someone approach, Erik tucked the gem away and played the dumb card, smothering his sarcasm, "Hi." he greeted her, tucking it into his pocket, "Did you hear that?" Smooth, buddy, he told himself. Real smooth.

Arabella first took notice of the crater in the earth, still slightly smoking. Then her eyes fell upon a guy who looked like a boy who just did something and was trying to hide it from his parents. Just a moment before she saw him put something shiny and small into his pocket. She looked at him closely, blue eyes and pale skin. He seemed to look german, she had a keen eye for telling what people were. Arabella glanced down at the crater again, no human would have made such a thing. The guy was probably a warlock, and the thing he slipped into his pocket was a gem of some sort. Arabella had dozens of that at her house, more than any normal witch would have. Thats because her father had a lot of resources to get many of these since he was so important. The guy in front of her didn't even know she was in the family of the most powerful witch family in Germany. Not that she would gloat about it to him, she wasn't that kind of a person. But If she pissed him off she certainly would.
When he played the dumb card with her she just laughed. But however she would have done the same thing. If a human came across her path then what else could she do? Oh yeah she could put a spell on the to make them forget. She wasn't sure if he was an experienced warlock. He didn't even put up any camouflage spells. When she went out into the forest that's what she did so humans would not bother her and walk right past where she was. She also wouldn't be naive enough to not know what those gems were. She had trouble remembering which powers when to which stone. Arabella had a guide obviously, but she couldn't carry that around with her every where. Though it soon became easier for her, as everything usually did. She was just a natural at being a witch. She also inherited her mothers power to see the future. Just as she saw that a vision interrupted her field of vision. It was her and the guy before her, they were laughing and sitting in front of a fire. It was only brief, 5 seconds at most. Sometimes they were like that, brief, other times they were longer.
Her vision seemed to heighten when she was around others of her kind. When she was with her sister she got them all the time. So it was normal if she had a blank stare in the house. Right now though she was looking back at the guy with a smile. "Hey, and yeah I did hear that. Quite clearly actually that's why I came." Arabella said lowering her protective shields. Clearly this guy would do her No harm. Still she was ready to throw them back up if he was going to attack. Arabella was extremely cautious, always on alert. Right now she seemed to be very calm and casual. But that was all a show, not that she was going to trick him or anything. But since she didn't know him she couldn't trust him. With her vision though she knew he wasn't going to do her any harm, today at least. Arabella thought she looked so happy with this guy in the vision. She wasn't much of the dater, wasn't much meant that she never dated.
Not once in her entire life had Arabella had a boyfriend. Yes she did have one night stands but nothing serious. She wasn't good on the whole long term relationship thing. Not that she was a whore, but she didn't want to get close to anyone. She looked at the guy"Look you don't have to play dumb. I'm a witch, like you." She said smiling "I'm Arabella." She extended her hand out to him. She hope he was friendly, and not an ass. She really needed to start making friends. On the plus side he was a witch so she didn't have to hide her secret. And perhaps she could help him out with his magic. Teach him what stones where what, so he wouldn't cause a great scene like he just did. Some else could have found him, a vampire or demon perhaps. She flinched when she thought about demons and her blood became hot. Though she pushed the thought aside and focused on the warlock infront of her.

Dammit, he cursed at himself. Whatever the hell had caused those gems to do that, why was he putting one in his pocket? Imbecile, he told himself. Quickly plucking it out of his pocket and flicking it aside. Yes, he'd much prefer, the moment the gem hit the ground, obviously some of his magic still left on it - that he didn't know - the gem soon sunk into the ground, unknown to him. His eyes were locked onto this blonde's. He pushed away the vision that clawed at his mind. He hated those things. Granted they allowed him to solve cases and crimes better, but other times when he wasn't on duty, like now for example, he loathed them. Made him feel like he was a freak. Or just really good at what he did. His lips twitched in mild amusement, pulling the innocent look all too well as he then heard her speak about why she had come. Though when she did that, he felt the air change around her. Narrowing his eyes slightly, Erik cocked an eyebrow towards her. What had she done? It was another reason he'd been tempted to move away from this city, just...leave. People here ate something that made them believe things, and now he felt like it was affecting him. The gems for example he had just had, had made miniature craters in the earth. Oh good Lord, was it happening to him too? Horrified, Erik pushed that thought away and noticed her own eyes fall to the crater near him. Should have covered it up with something, or nudge dirt into the twelve-inch hole. Moron, he scolded himself.
Stuffing one hand into his pocket which the gem had previously resided, his own blue-purple-green eyes watched her carefully, noting her movements as she suddenly then had a blank stare for a moment, as if she was trying to decide what to do next. He had a suggestion, go away. Not to be mean, but he'd much rather attempt to figure out what was going on by himself. Unless of course she had the answers herself. Which he doubted...wait, what? A skeptical look fell on the male's features upon her mentioning she was a witch. Wait...like him? What the hell? He didn't shake her hand as his body had become rigid. He wasn't a witch, or whatever the guy version was, wizard? Who cared. Whatever she thought he was, he wasn't. Weren't parents supposed to tell their kids anyway? Giving her a look with slight pity, he wished he had his cuffs with him, or his badge at least, "I'm Derik, call me Erik." he spoke, and gave her a sheepish, toothy grin as he then shook her hand politely, "Okay, I must know what you guys eat around here!" He chuckled lightly, ruffling his hair slightly.
It was insane! People were believing they were over forty years old and looked his age. Then this girl introducing herself as a witch! Ha! He patted her shoulder, "I understand...I think." Erik scowled slightly. It was so weird...everyone believing one thing or another. Salene told him she was half-vampire, now this girl..the beautiful blonde in front of him, Arabella had called herself a witch. Crossing his arms slightly, Erik commented, "Then, if I'm a witch, or whatever like you are, show me." he spoke, eyes darkening, wanting proof. Now he happened to be one of those types that if he saw it, he would believe it. Erik wanted to see this. The gems, he'd just blame it on the earth, a little sinkhole or something. What he wanted to see was actual proof, with his own eyes. Scowling slightly, looking down, Erik commented, "Then..." his eyes glanced to where the emerald gem had gone. No, that was just coincidence...wasn't it? He was human for goodness sake! There was nothing such as vampires, and witches like his family used to claim to be, they were mad, they were stories to tell children.. Weren't they?

"Well Erik, there's nothing around here we eat. It's the simple truth of our world." Arabella said smiling. God she felt bad for this guy, he didn't even know what he was. That means he didn't know a damn thing about spells or potions or anything other than the sort. Seeing as a great person she was Arabella would have to train him. Unless his parents would? She couldn't even imagine her parents growing her up as a human. She had been brought up as a witch, people like Erik were the cause of over protective parents. They were stupid to do that to their child, idiots. He was already what, in his twenties and he didnt even know how to defend himself. What if a hunter came by him, a warlock who doesn't even know he's one. It would make him a very easy target. His parents should be ashamed of themselves, not bringing their son up as a warlock. Now it would be ten times harder for him to learn magic. That would be once he got over the initial shock of being what he was. Some witches went crazy and killed themselves because they just found out what they truly were.
Arabella noticed there was something different about him. She noticed his slight internal struggle, she knew that face. She had made a face like that when she was trying to block a vision out. He must have it to, very peculiar. Erik obviously didn't know how to control them, he needed a hell of a lot of help. If he was willing to let her teach him then she would. She taught herself and her own younger sister when she was only nine years old. She had a guideline book to help her, thank-god her mother was always prepared. But Arabella would trade that to have her parents with her everyday. If she had a choice she would rather be a regular human to have her parents back. she would give up everything that made her, to have even a couple days with them. But she could not let herself mourn, they were still with her in spirit. Arabella could still feel their presence every now and then. Which reassured her greatly, she didn't say this to her sister. However Arabella was sure her sister could feel them now and again as well.
"You think? Man I feel so bad for you, it's gonna be a bitch learning all the spells." Arabella said shaking her head. When Erik told her to prove it, she just stared at him. Was he serious? He was being so childish, then again he sort of was when it came to the supernatural world. Arabella never had an encounter like thus before where she had to prove why she was. It made her angry so she decided to do a little scary magic on him. "You would be called a warlock, and fine I'll prove it to you. Arabella's smile was dark and she closed her eyes. She loved to scare people, especially ignorant ones. Erik was not one of those people though, he was just a scared little warlock. She would scare him nevertheless. Fear Was a good way of convincing people of the truth. In this case Erik needed to see the proof of what he truly was. Arabella needed to be his mentor, and she would wether he liked it or not. She would teach him all he needed to know of the supernatural world.
With her eyes close she began to summon her powers within. Arabella could feel the magic flowing within her. When she opened her eyes the light darkened and her eyes were glowing neon purple. She smiled at Erik and then winked at him. She threw a spell at him so that he couldn't move. She walked closer to him, her eyes dancing with danger. Arabella was right in front of him and touched the side of his face lightly with her fingertips. Where se dragged her fingers a trail of frost took it's place. She then began to un hook her grip on him slowly, like untangling something from a net. Before he got full control of his body again, she kissed his cheek where the frost was and it immediately melted away. Her eyes became her regular blue violet color and the light came back. Arabella was still standing semi close to him and couldn't help but glance down at his bare chest. She smiled at him but stepped back a bit to give him space."You have much to learn, I will teach everything you need to know. But first you have to accept who and what you are first." Arabella said to the warlock.

The male cocked an eyebrow towards the blonde at her remark. Oh really? A devious grin fell on his face, but he quickly reminded himself to be a man here. Moron, he scolded himself. Remaining quiet, Erik paid careful attention to her mannerisms though, eyes following her every move, not trusting her one bit. There had been times though, besides the visions, Erik swore there was something wrong with him, like he might be going insane or something. Besides being able to find the suspects and culprits as fast as a dog who could sniff them out, Erik had always felt there was something more to him and his family's history. Besides the fact they'd been in Germany their whole heritage and supposedly were descended from powerful people in the noble families and all that jazz. Even a tie with Hitler, how-ever that was, but Erik doubted his family would even relate to that. Nevertheless, Erik's mind wandered briefly, as he mused over it. Magic. That word sounded so foreign to him, yet so....familiar, like deja vu or something. Yes, that could be a good way to describe it. Like he'd heard it before, or someone had told him about it before. The male's face darkened slightly, though he was cut off briefly when the blonde retorted once more. "I bet you I can learn them just as fast as anyone."
he surprised himself by saying that. Did he really believe her? His logical side didn't, but every other side was telling him yes, to believe her and stop being an idiot. There were bigger things out there, that he knew, but something like this he hadn't been expecting. All he knew was that if his parents had been lying to him all his life, he would make sure to give them hell the next time he saw them. Warlock. Erik grunted slightly when a vision slammed into him like a dump truck. He clutched the side of his head slightly, as it gnawed at his vision, giving him no way to avoid it, even ignore it. It was one of him and this blonde - of course - walking together along a beach, chatting, and casting spells like it was nobody's business. Even he was doing it, then they had to defend themselves against someone who had a gun pointed at them. The moment the gun raised, the vision faded and Erik started to shift, before suddenly he found himself unable to move. Wait, what the hell was this? His fingers didn't even move, nothing but his mouth it seemed like, and his facial features. Horror and panic flicked over his face like a light switch being turned off, only to reveal anger, and then beneath it curiosity. Erik swore slightly in German, realizing he'd only done it after he hoped Arabella hadn't understood it. The frost stung like none other! Growling softly, he then watched her eyes. Felt like he'd stepped into Harry Potter for god's sake, but she didn't have a wand, just her own hands and her eyes. Her eyes shined brilliant purple, like he'd noticed his would do sometimes. Erik's eyes warily watched her and then noticed her eyes flick down, allowing a slight smirk to coil along his lips before she then spoke, of accepting and whatnot. Really? Really now? Erik resisted the urge to throw something at her, whatever it happened to be, but he settled for just standing there, and his jaw then tightened. He had the sudden urge to prove her wrong, that he knew he could learn things faster than anyone, get them faster than before if this was really true. No, it was true, he reminded himself. Arabella, for goodness sake had not only just kissed his cheek, getting rid of the stinging frost there, but she had frozen him, not allowing him to move what-so-ever to defend himself. To tell the truth if he had been able to move, he would have pinned her to the ground as fast as a bullet, that is till she probably used some of her magic on her. Pausing, he spoke, "It....makes sense." he muttered, running a hand through his hair before he looked to Arabella and then uttered two words that caused him to feel...stronger all of a sudden like he had just taken a nap and was recharged, "Teach me." Two simple words he knew his life would never be the same again. She could tell him though how to control these visions perhaps, and not have these weird occurrences anymore, or at least....control when they would happen. He wanted to learn, he wanted to know everything. Arabella smiled at Erik's confidence when he said he could learn how to do spells fast. She didn't doubt him, he seemed just like herself, willing to learn everything and work hard."Confidence,I like that." Arabella laughed and winked at him. Erik must feel that he was a warlock to have that drive and confidence to learn. He would be like teaching herself, that was good she didn't want to go at a slow pace like when she taught her sister. Not that Anne wasn't a good witch, it just took her a longer time to learn things. But with Erik she could imagine him absorbing things like crazy. She could also help him to control his visions. She didn't have a hard time controlling hers anymore, her mother had taught her how to block them with easy. Instead of trying to push them up, she said to put up a shield so it could bounce off instead. This was very important, because in public she didn't want to go off in a blank stare especially in the middle of conversation. People would think something was wrong with her.
Arabella saw the fear on his face when he realized he couldn't move. He was angry to, and so very helpless. But once she let him go he seemed to calm down. Arabella hoped that he didn't mind her slight kiss, she did that to tease him. She watched him make up his mind and say it made sense. Arabella laughed loudly "Of course it does!" She snapped "You know it was a very stupid thing your parents did not telling you. It made you easy prey for a hunter." Arabella then wondered if Erik knew what a hunter was. Or how much he knew about the supernatural world as a whole. She would have to inform him of that first, getting all the basics out of the way. They were never fairytales for her, they were real sometimes scary beings. The supernatural being frequenting Arabella's nightmare the most were demons. They were not constant nightmares but sometimes when she sensed one getting close she got them.
When she heard the last two words out of his mouth Arabella grinned at him. "I'd be happy to, but you have to take it seriously." She warned "You would be with me almost every day almost all day. I've had 22 years to learn all this magic and to grow stronger. So you must have at least a little patience." Arabella would not put up with Erik If he was going to throw temper tantrums every five seconds if he didn't get a spell right. She would have to be with him almost everyday for most of the day for his lessons. If he truly wanted to learn the fastest that's what he was going to do. Arabella didn't mind it, she really wanted to get to know him. She thought it would be really fun to teach such an ambitious student. Since they both seemed to be really vocal people she could tell that they were both going to butt heads more often than not. But she would not give up on him as long as he didn't quit on her.
"Come and sit first an let me explain to you what our world holds." Arabella said and walked over to where he was camped. She then started to explain all the species to Erik, there basic information. She told him she would go more in depth in them tomorrow. When she got to the demons her face hardened and her voice got bitter. But once she got over them Arabella resumed her naturally happy self. She could see the information being processed in his mind, she couldn't tell if he was overwhelmed or just trying to sort it out."So that's a bout it on the species." Arabella said and yawned, she had been talk for hours now and evening was approaching. She scooted over to Erik until she was face to face with him. Her folded legs were brushed up against his and she held out her hands face up."Hold your hands out an inch above mine." Arabella said and closed her eyes. She then started to whisper her spell in her native language. A minute later memories of her learning early basic spells transcode into his head. Now he would be able to do the basic spells, she put about a couple dozen in his head."I transferred some of the basic spells to you. I can't do them with more complex ones, you'll figure those out on your own and believe me there are plenty." Arabella said with a laugh. She was still sitting close to him, she didn't move away though. Arabella wanted to see if Erik did it first.

The male watched the blonde and quirked an eyebrow when she smirked and then commented on his confidence. Grinning coyly back, unable to resist, Erik spoke, "But could it still be confidence if we know it's true?"
he chuckled lightly. He did though, find this rather amusing. But, he promised himself. If this...Arabella girl was what she said she was, and he turned out to be what she claimed he was, he knew first he would give his parents hell, and secondly, want to find a way to pay this pretty blonde back. Eyes darkened slightly as he knew he would never let his parents live this down, before then scowling, "My parents will have hell to pay for lying." His fingers twitched angrily before the male then paused having heard her mention a hunter. Really? There were hunters? No kidding...or wait, maybe she meant the actual hunters like...ones that hunted them down. Now he was involved. Wonderful. Just what he needed. Erik's internal panic spiked for a few brief moments, but he knew he would kill anyone who dared to hurt him, his family or a friend, which Arabella was now considered. Yes, definitely a friend, he wouldn't consider her a mentor mainly because his confidence and ego wouldn't let him, but definitely a friend - who just happened to be pretty and know more about this...odd world than he did. Sighing softly, he then listened in when she spoke about having to spend so much time with her. Didn't she know he probably had a job? He could take some time off, but that didn't mean two whole straight weeks unless he had a good reason why. Yeah, this could totally get him off for a few weeks, "Yeah, I'm taking a few weeks off. I'm learning my parents lied to me about being a supernatural so I'm learning all these spells.....yeah, like Harry Potter." No way, Erik would just deal with it and he could probably take up to a week and some days off, hopefully that would be good enough for Arabella. Stuffing one hand into his pants pocket and shrugged, "Oh...you see, I've been known to throw tantrums though. Is that okay?" he asked, a slightly whiny voice escaping his lips before he smirked deviously, "Fine with me, I'll take some vacation off then." Suddenly being painfully aware his shirt hadn't even been buttoned yet, Erik quickly buttoned some of the buttons on it, leaving the first few undone in his rush as he sat calmly down by Arabella, feeling like he was in elementary school again, where he actually loved the teachers. Don't get him wrong other levels of school were just fine, but elementary had been the time where he and pretty much every other kid worshiped the teachers. He felt like he'd entered a mad man's world. Well, maybe he was going mad. Maybe this was some kind of mental breakdown or something...personally he hoped not. That wouldn't be good and he personally didn't want to check himself into a mental ward for a few years, if not the rest of his life if he continued to believe this. He sure as hell wouldn't tell his buddies this, they would think he had been drinking too much - which he wouldn't do in the first place, but they'd urge him to get help, much like he'd urged Salene to do. Wow, now he felt like an ass. Sighing softly, he placed his palm on his cheek, elbow on his thigh as he listened to the blonde explain these... species. There weren't just witches, but apparently many other species out there. What the hell? Why the hell did his parents not tell him? There had to be a good reason, or else he would write them out of his life for awhile for doing this to him. Patiently looking to Arabella, he noted, "Now...if I may ask, does everyone just not like demons or is...it personal?" Having heard the change in her tone of voice when she'd explained those. His hands warily followed her instructions, putting them what it seemed to be an inch above hers, and one moment, he was fronted with a shock through his hands. Erik jumped and yanked his hands away, feeling the slight sting surge through his body it felt like before it quickly vanished as his brain suddenly realized there was new stuff in it. Weird as hell. Processing the information, Erik looked to the blonde, noticing just how close they had suddenly become. He wouldn't move. No way would he dare to move, or back down first, she would move first. He wouldn't, unless of course she made him. But he frowned slightly, as he processed through these...foreign feelings, these memories. Some basic defense spells, a shield, camouflage, disabling the other person, and offense spells, throwing things, explosions, some other things he felt like he could do in his sleep. Simple things he wanted to get started on. Right now. Why not? He felt...in his natural instincts in a sense. Like this all made sense to him. Erik's eyes locked onto Arabella's as he then muttered something along the lines of, 'at least if i'm going crazy i won't be alone' before he spoke, "Mind if I try a few out?" He arched an eyebrow, before then standing up, and offering Arabella a hand to help her get up, even if she didn't need it, but hey, he was a gentleman after all. Once they were standing up, he remained still, picking one of those 'spells' with a memory she'd given him. He picked the camouflage one, and soon began to mimic what she had done. Erik's concentration tightened and soon, he felt what felt like a slight coating in a sense paint over him. Arching an eyebrow, he shivered, feeling the dormant magic in him begin to be used, and therefore he felt himself, it felt like energy soaring through him. Suddenly, he glanced to Arabella if she could still see him, before he frowned, and 'pushed' the magic away, allowing him to be seen once more. "How horrible was it?" he teased lightly, though he was curious to know how it had gone. Arabella rolled her eyes at Erik, though he was beginning to grow on her."Oh, did I say confidence? I meant to say arrogance" Arabella said and give him a face. He was so much like herself, it was crazy. They would get along good and perhaps become close friends. Arabella wouldn't mind it, she needed some close friends since she really didn't have any. She felt that one less person in her heart would make the world quite easier for her. In case they died she wouldnt have to grieve for them and feel the same loss she did when her parents died. Arabella frowned when he mentioned is parents. "It was very stupid of them, but they probably did it to protect you in way." Arabella said gently not wanting him to go and destroy his relationship with his parents. The bond with your parents especially if you were a witch is very strong. They were your mentors and you could go to them to ask anything you wanted. That's what she did wither parents until they died.
Arabella rolled her eyes as he told her about his temper tantrums. "I can handle you." Arabella said with a smile "But so help me god if it becomes everyday I'll beat the living crap out of you." Arabella was serious, she wouldnt stand for behavior like that. Her sister was an angel to teach, following every instruction she was given. Arabella would also have to have some patience with Erik. She would give him a warning a first then she'd kick him out for a couple of days. "Good, I forgot that you act like a human so you have a job." Arabella said. She didn't have a job since her family was so rich. Besides witch's were usually hired by the supernatural . They were also hired by humans since some witches were 'psychics' and totally played humans. She didnt really bother with humans, not getting to really know any of them. Because then if they got close she would have to explain to them what she truly was.
Erik had picked up on her bitter tone when she mentioned demons. Who wouldn't have though, it was bluntly obvious she hated them. Arabella thought Erik was a nice guy but she didn't want to go into details of why she hated them. She would tell him the whole story later on. When he asked if it was personal she snorted."They killed my parents when I was nine." Arabella said icily "I'd say it's pretty personal." Arabella hate when demons came up in conversation, it angered her greatly. She felt like a pot boiling over, it was weird for her to feel such anger because Arabella was such a happy person. Arabella then took a deep breath and blew out all he anger."Besides id advise you to avoid them, there nothing but trouble and will kill just on whim." She said and flicked a piece of lint off her dress. She really didn't like talking about them and that was the last thing Arabella was going to say about them.
Arabella noticed he didn't move a way from her either. He was expecting her to back down, such the typical guy. She would have to break him down and tell him that she was the boss here and he wasn't. She didn't want to be rude about it but he was going to have to respect her. It would be a tough thing to do, especially with his arrogance and temper. She took his hand when he wanted to try out a few spells. He was an eager learner, she could see the light in his eyes. She got up and watches him concentrate on his magic. She watched him and suddenly Erik wasn't there. Though he could see his outline, it's like he was a chameleon. Arabella knew he wasn't concentrating enough."Not bad, you have to concentrate more, I can still see your outline." Arabella said sternly. She then put a camouflage spell on herself, these spells were like snapping her fingers. She knew she was invisible and then she walked quietly behind Erik and in did her spell."Like that." Arabella whispered in his ear.

The male wagged his finger towards the blonde at calling his confidence arrogance, and having been incorrect. "Oh no, dear, you can't take that back."
he teased, "It would..hurt me so much to hear you think that." he pouted, giving her a teasing look. Though Erik's face darkened when she spoke of them protecting him. Protecting him by not telling him something like that? That he wasn't even human? Idiots, he scolded them in his head. He would make them pay, but he wanted to know why he'd been lied to, that was what really bothered him. He knew he would need to ask them, maybe have Arabella be there with him, after all he had ha feeling he would be spending a lot of time with her in the upcoming future. Not that he minded that idea, in fact he was personally looking forward to it, she'd grown on him in this short period of time. A small part of him told him that she might be using a spell on him, but the bigger and main part told him not to be stupid, she wouldn't do that, she didn't seem the type. Plus he was cooperating, now if he wasn't he was sure this conversation would probably be going in a much different direction than it was now. At least now they were courteous and nice to each other. Tilting his head slightly, the male then cocked an eyebrow and grinned deviously, "Oh, is that a threat?" He lived for threats, he liked being able to show people not to underestimate him because he happened to be younger than most of the cops on the force. Too bad. He'd gotten over that worry by the first 6 months of the job. He placed a hand over his heart, even there happened to be slight sarcasm in his voice, he still was serious, "I promise to at least act my age ninety-nine percent of the time." Dropping his hand, Erik thought about his job. Yeah, he knew his Captain would most likely jump for joy when Erik told him he'd be taking a week off. "Ha, ha. I have a job because I don't like the idea of just using the money I've inherited." Personally he was all one for making his own money, granted he had that other money for just in case he went without a job or getting him through college, but otherwise it had pretty much remained untouched. He planned on using it for when he got older, had kids, use it to raise them properly and send them to a good school. Yes, most likely that, as well as an awesome college. Hearing her speak of the demons, Erik scowled towards the idea of that having happened, "I'm sorry to hear that." Sincerity in his voice before he could stop it. Erik did feel bad, he could only imagine losing his parents, fortunately that hadn't happened, but growing up without them? Damn, that had to suck. Eyes narrowed slightly towards Arabella, noticing she hadn't backed down either. Excellent, he liked it when he actually had to work at people, to get them to respond, or not back down. Most of the time they just submitted to it, the Type B Personalities if he remembered correctly, he'd been labeled a Type A for about 4 years now. The 25-year-old then smirked playfully, but it faded of course the moment she commented on his magic, "Of course, but for my first time, eh?" he grinned, obviously telling her he was fishing for a compliment on purpose. Course the moment Arabella vanished, Erik began to attempt to find a spell, or just think of something to help him find her or defend himself. Though the moment she whispered in his ear, Erik spun around and grabbed her arms, pinning her against the tree they had been by. Grinning lightly, he mused, "Sorry...habit." A teasing wink later, Erik rolled his shoulders slightly, and focusing once more, he didn't let his mind wander at all. Soon, he felt the magic pour through his veins, like he was waking up after a wonderful dream, and sweet relief from the worst pain imaginable. As he vanished, the male inquired, turning slightly, "Better?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] words --- enough tagged --- milly love! ^^ <33 outfit --- coming soon. <3 just say the button-down shirt is black, with a pair of jeans XD template --- PANIC! Arabella smiled at Erik as he pouted on her comment about him being arrogant. She had to admit he was quite adorable, his personality was so complimenting to hers. She could tell that they would become great friends, her affections for him were growing."Awh, I would never want to do that!." Arabella said with a playful wink of her own. He was a handful, thinking he was the alpha male and all that junk. Erik needed a good butt kicking and humiliation for him to realize that she was in charge here. Arabella simply could not wait to do that to him. She wouldn't do it in a cruel or mean way, she would honestly not want to. She would find out a way to make him realize he wouldnt be all top dog. Though he would learn quickly how she worked. They would make a great pair, she could tell they would work very well together since they were getting along so well now. Arabella had not gotten along with anyone like this in like ever. She was so excited they got along so smoothly.
When Erik asked if what she said was a threat she gave him a dangerous grin."Oh not at all." Arabella said lightly "It's a promise." Arabella loved to tease him, they seemed to be doing quite a lot of this to each other. Harmless flirting and getting to know eachother, she was having fun. To much fun she thought though, she had never really taking a liking to someone like this. She had just met her ghost stalker/soon-to-be boyfriend just a week ago. His name was Guzzy and she was totally head over heels for him. But here comes Mr. Arrogant who catches her attention. He caught her attention as a really good friend, spending time with him would no doubt be fun and entertaining. But she thought she could sense something underneath that. Maybe she was imagining it, mistaken some of her feelings. Arabella rarely did that however, she was sure of her feelings. She also tried not getting close to anyone, but now she had yet another person that she was bound to be close to.
Arabella crossed her arms at attempt to scold him,she couldnt hide her smile that seemed to be creeping up onto her face. "Only ninety-nine percent? She questioned "I expect one hundred and ten percent, or else I might have to punish you." She wasn't really going to punish him, maybe pick on him with a few advanced spells. She could also threaten him to stop teaching him, then he would agree to everything she said. Erik would sure do what she said because it's not like there were witch tutors looking for students. You were suppose to learn the spells and everything from your parents, it usually stayed in the family. However if you were a person like Erik, then you'd either learn from your parents which would do no good because you were already furious at them from keeping something from you. Or you would have to stumble upon a person like Arabella who was willing to teach, especially for free. Some witch's took advantages and charged a lot of money per lesson. Arabella didn't do that, she wouldn't mention it to him either for fear he might force money upon her.
"I really don't find a need to work at boring jobs." Arabella stated "I spend my time doing community service." She smiled proudly at that, she volunteered for many things. She liked to volunteer at the local animal shelter. She had never been to an actual school so she couldn't get a real job, however she could use her magic but she didn't want to use that. Her money that she had would last for the rest of her life time, besides if she needed more then she would just ask for some from her family in germany. When he apologized for her loss she smiled weakly at him. "It's fine, I've learned to deal with it." Arabella said giving him another weak smile. She was a very strong girl, she had to be. There was no picking wether or not she had to grow up. It was grow up or die in her case. She needed to teach herself on how to protect her and her sister. Not only did she teach her sister about spells but she also had to home school her sister so she wouldn't be out of place in the human world.
Arabella smiled at Erik, he was so eager to learn. She knew that he wanted a compliment from her."It was very impressive for your first time." Arabella said with a smile. It was, some people couldn't even disappear completely the first time they did it. The first time she did it Arabella did it nearly perfectly just how Erik just did. When she whispered in his ear his reaction surprised her. Erik had pinned her against a tree, she gasped because she wasn't expecting it. He didn't do it hard but where he touched her, her skinned burned. Arabella felt unsettled by that, and the fact that her heart was beating quite hard. She force herself to smile at Erik "It's fine." Arabella said. She pushed her thoughts about what just happened out of her head and her reaction to it. She focused on trying to see Erik but all she could see was empty space. "Perfect." Arabella said.

Psh, Erik gave Arabella a look he clearly doubted that she wouldn't do that, to be honest he could see her doing something like that in her sleep. Blue eyes painted over with sarcasm before he then heard her comment about it being a promise. Grinning coyly, Erik commented, "Good, because you'd get in trouble for threatening a cop."
he smirked coyly, dangling that over her head for a moment before the male then watched her as she seemed to then go into deep thought. He liked it when she did that, even if he barely knew her. It was a combined look of serenity, but yet ferocity, like she knew what she was going to get and she would make sure she was. He admired that about her, and about anyone really would had determination, and Arabella evidently did. It was painfully obvious, but Erik didn't mind, it just made it more enticing for him to continue to speak with her, interact with her and become better friends. The now, apparently warlock cocked an eyebrow as she folded her arms in a horrible attempt to try and scold him. He grinned boyishly, knowing he'd gotten away with that and he shrugged, "Your definition and mine might be a little different." Then his mind narrowed in on the punishment part and a mischievous grin melted over his features like butter on toast. He would need to make a joke out of that, he had to in order to retain his sanity. The warlock's lips twitched into a toying smirk. "Punish me?" he inquired, allowing his look to say it all to her without any words needed. "I'd like to see you do that." he teased, unable to resist. Personally he wasn't too worried, that's why he was good at his job, plus that he loved it, was that he absolutely loved being able to solve puzzles and work hard, consume the time he felt like he would have plenty of and therefore he hated the idea of wasting it. He hated the idea of doing something pointless with his time. Though upon Arabella mentioning she did volunteer work, that he would respect. Yes, definitely, what-ever she did, he knew he didn't mind volunteer work either. He'd helped build a school house in the Dominican Republic when he had been 21 and a junior in college. "What all do you with what that free time and community service?" he inquired, purely curious on getting to know her better, what made her tick and what made Arabella, simply Arabella. Course the second Erik had pinned her to the tree, he felt as his hands slipped away, a lingering burning sensation on his hands and wrists where their skin had touched. How odd. It hadn't been any magic, it didn't feel like it, no....it just felt...different, but not painful, if not enjoyable. Tilting his head slightly, he soon then released the spell on himself, allowing her to see him again, but this time he was much closer than before, having closed the space between them greatly. Grinning lightly, the male spoke, "Wonderful." he ran a hand through his hair before pointing to the gems, "So let me guess, do all supernaturals like gems, or just us?" Well, he pointed to the holes where the gems had made when he'd thrown them earlier, which had been the reason why Arabella and he had met. Damn, he if would have known that he would have done it forever ago. Oh well, too late now, she was already here as it was. Pausing, he then commented, "Are there any limits to what we can do?" he inquired, frowning slightly, it made him nervous to think there could be evil species out there, but it would only be as natural as there being horrible, greedy humans. Nonetheless, Erik wouldn't become one of those, sure he had his ego confidence, but he surely wouldn't use it for his own personal gain. Lifting his gaze to Arabella, he mused, "How could I ever repay you in the end?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] words --- enough tagged --- milly love! ^^ <33 outfit --- coming soon. <3 just say the button-down shirt is black, with a pair of jeans XD template --- PANIC! Arabella's eyebrows arched at she heard he was a cop, she let out a low whistle. No wonder he had such fast reflexes, and such a strong physique. "A cop, mhmm sounds fancy." Arabella said and looked him head to toe, thoughts started to form in her head but she threw up a barrier. No. She was not going to think about him like that, he was her friend. Besides she had just gained the love of her life. Arabella hated conflicting emotions, they messed her up more than she could handle. That's why, again, she did not go into the love business. This time she was thrust into it unwillingly, besides a good looking guy like him must have a girlfriend. At the mention of different definitions she made a face at him. "Only my definition counts." she said to him "And you better be well behaved." It felt odd for Arabella to be telling a grown man to behave. But then again she's been the mother type since she was nine so she really couldn't help it.
Arabella was a little offended when he didn't believe she would punish him. Did Erik realize how much more powerful she was than him? When Arabella wanted to be dangerous, she could snap in an instant. She was more ferocious than a lioness protecting her cubs. She had indeed killed people, no innocent ones, but people who have threatened and tried to kill her and anne. "What makes you think I can't?" Arabella questioned dangerously, her eyes where challenging him. The magic seemed to rush threw her as she looked at him. Neon purple sparks flashed off her hands by her side."Do I need to look more dangerous," She asked "Because I'm sure I can take you down." Arabella winked at him and laughed. But she sure could, she could take down his basic defense spells in an instant. It would be like swiping away cob webs for her. This might be the only time to do it since he'll be learning fast and it won't be so easy later on.
Arabella eased up when Erik asked about what she did in her free time. Arabella found out she did quite alot in her free time."Well I love to run, swim, and dance. I do that quite alot, but I also practice new spells and make potions." Arabella said smiling "I'll start teaching about potions soon as well." She thought about getting a job once, but she decided against it. Maybe one day she would get one, but she'd rather stick with community service. Arabella would rather be working to help the good of the community rather than working to make money for herself that she didnt need. When Erik released his grip she wondered if he had felt anything. Arabella didn't even know was it was, maybe his body temperature was warmer than normal. That didn't make sense though, it was to hot an made her heart race. Thank god he didn't notice her shift in mood when he did that.Erik was now a good friend of hers, she didn't want to mess that up. Though their flirting was increasing, it was all harmless though, right?
When Erik released the spell on himself she let out a small gasp at how close he was. Arabella hoped he didn't notice that, even if he did he'd probably mistake it that she had scared him. She watched him run his hand threw his hair, he did that quite often. Arabella thought it was cute, she also like his 'confidence' as well, it amused her. She followed to where Erik's hand pointed to, she laughed."Yes, we love our gems, there are hundreds of kinds of them." Arabella said "They are like cars, cars are useless without any gas and the gems are useless without any magic." Some people thought they had everlasting magic use, but in truth the witch's magic had to be put into it for it to work. So to a human the gem would be useless, most humans have gems like these and don't even know it. Only a witch or a warlock can distinguish which gem is enchanted or not. There's no specific way to do it, they can just feel it.
When Erik asked if there were any limits Arabella paused. That was a tricky question for her."Yes and no. Yes because there are so many spells we can learn that can be basic and extremely powerful. We can do anything we wanted to with magic." Arabella said "But our magic is like energy, we don't have an ever lasting supply. So if you perform a very advanced spell it's like you just ran a marathon. If you push yourself to much with your magic you could end up dying." Some witch's and warlocks didn't really grasp the concept. They just kept using their magic over and over without giving it time to recharge. Then they ended up dying because their energy was to low and they couldn't support themselves to live. Arabella nearly died once because of it. But she wasn't being dumb about it, she was trying to kill one of the demons that killed her parents. Luckily she succeeded with one of her angel friends.
Arabella cursed in her head as Erik brought up the subject of repaying her. She didn't want him to repay her, but of course he wouldn't listen to her."If you become as good of a warlock as I then consider me repaid." Arabella said smiling. It wouldn't take him to long to get up to her level, maybe in the next couple of years. Knowing Erik he would probably become an excellent warlock. Word would start traveling, especially in Germany that she was teaching Erik. He'll become famous without even knowing it. One day she'd tell him her power in Germany, but not know. She wouldn't want to rub it in his face, it wasn't the right moment. Suddenly she felt a vision coming on and she let it take her. It was her and Erik, yet again, it was a different day though. She was in a house she didn't recognize, most likely Erik's. It looked like she was teaching him how to camouflage other objects. Erik started teasing her and somehow she tripped onto the couch and brought him down with her. They looked at eachother a long moment and then the vision abruptly when away. Her face was burning red when she was able to have her real vision back. She needed to breath and think about what she had just seen. Glancing up at the sky she noticed it was getting late."We should have a fire, it's getting late." Arabella said, not meeting his gaze "I'll go get some wood." Arabella then brushed past him to go find some wood, hoping he wouldn't follow.

Seeing the recognition of him saying what he did for a job exactly, Erik grinned deviously as he then chuckled at her comment on it, "Technically my title is called Detective Supervisor, so I don't really ever give out tickets. I do have my handcuffs."
he winked, teasing. The male's attention snapped and he crossed his arms, acting like a young, stubborn 6-year-old child and he cocked an eyebrow towards her about only her own definition counting. Wrinkling his nose, Erik commented, "Hey, c'mon. What is it about me that makes you think I would misbehave at all?" he spoke, sounding offended. Eyes followed her carefully, keenly watching her. Personally he'd like to see what she would do if she were to go ahead and attack him. Though he would admit that she could easily - most likely kick his ass with magic, but give him a few days he knew and then he would make sure he'd at least be able to hold his own against this blonde witch. Keenly following her attention, he then felt her own magic surge, which felt odd, but it felt like he just...should expect that. Glancing down to her hands, with sparks of magic flying from her fingers, he then calmly brushed her fingers with his. Feeling the sparks, it sent shivers down his spine when they touched his skin and he felt his own defense magic kick in, and then some brilliant blue sparks from his own fingers jump, and mess with her own sparks. Pulling his hands back quickly, the warlock looked down between their hands, before his eyes then calmly lifted from Arabella's feet to her legs and her torso then to her face quietly. Hearing her comment on what she did, Erik nodded calmly, and mentioned, "What would you say if I started to test some spells and potions on my own as well?" He gave her a questioning look, as if to say that no matter what she said, he was going to do it anyway, even if she didn't say yes. Though as she spoke of the gems, the male listened intently. It made sense, but he then wondered about why the ones he had were so...explosive. Mainly because he was sure he hadn't done anything, had he? he highly doubted it, because up till less than an hour ago he had thought he was only human, and knew nothing of the supernatural, which he was now a part of. "How long does the...energy last? I suppose just till someone uses it?" So how long had that energy been on those gems he had gotten a few days ago and had just...kept. Eyeing them silently for a moment, as if he'd been betrayed by them, he scoffed slightly though brushed that off as he then returned his attention fully back to Arabella, knowing she only had something interesting to say. He loved listening to her, no matter what he noticed. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind." he mused, pensive thoughts running through his mind. He'd definitely need to make sure to pay attention to his own body when he started to use magic, that way he wouldn't end up having to sleep or anything for the rest of the day. That would suck. Running through possibilities in his head, before nodding, "Consider that to be repaid shortly then." he promised, perfectly ready to become as good of a warlock as he could within a small amount of time. He knew he would work relentlessly till he was sure he would be able to become as good as Arabella was. Suddenly, he noticed her blush, and Erik tilted his head slightly, wanting to be able to figure out why and know what had made her blush. Giving her a questioning look, Erik then heard her speak of a fire. What-ever. Watching her quietly, he then glanced around before nudging some twigs into a pile together, before he then glanced towards Arabella's direction she'd wandered off to, as he then snapped his fingers, sparks flying from his snaps, before one landed on the twigs, causing a small fire to start. Grinning eagerly, he focused before then looking back towards where Arabella had reappeared and he looked to her quietly, "Any luck finding any wood?" he grinned, gesturing to the small fire of the multiple twigs to get it started. When Erik told her what his specific job as a cop was she couldn't help be impressed. She wasn't surprised though he was really clever and determined."You must be very good at you job then." Arabella complimented sincerely. When she heard of the handcuff part she bit her lip, then giggled at his wink. Their relationship was so easy going, their personalities went so well with each others. He was basically the male version of her but with a bigger ego. Arabella looked at Erik, he was quite handsome, her ideal guy. He was strong, intelligent and his confidence ego just made him that more attractive. Erik wasn't an ass about it, it was in a funny way. Arabella knew that he was a gentlemen and a very caring guy. He might want to look all cool and confident but she knew he was a softy. Arabella was the exact same way, not that Erik made such a deep impression on her she would fight to protect him just as fiercely as her own sister.
When Erik asked her what gave him away to be misbehave, she laughed and shook her head. She looked him over, alot of things. Despite him being a cop he looked like a mischievous bad boy."I'm not sure, you have a certain look about you." Arabella said smiling "And your ego! My god! That's a huge plus to lead my to think you misbehave." Usually confident egotistical people cause trouble because they thought they could do anything they wanted. Obviously Arabella was only joking about his ego, she knew he wasn't that kind of guy. When Erik brushed his fingers with hers she felt like he dragged fire across them. So the first time was not just a random warm feeling, it was how her body reacted to his. It felt..nice, she also felt a bit of his magic which gave her a rush. Did he realize how good that felt to her, to feel his skin and his magic. Arabella tried forcing herself to breath again, it was hard because he was so damn close to her. She wondered if he was feeling any of the feelings she was.
Arabella was well aware of his eyes traveling up her figure. That made her face burn up but she acted normal. She wanted so badly just to give Erik a good wack in the head and tell him to stop doing stuff like that to her. Of course he didn't know what kind of effects he had on her. To his question she frowned, clearly concerned."I'd say that would be really risky, you would only want to do the basic spells." Arabella said "Because you've just found out these powers so you don't know how to handle them." Arabella was obviously worried that he would hurt himself. He could loose control of his powers and hurt himself, or someone around him. A ten year old boy who was raised to be a warlock would have a much easier time controlling his power since he's been in control of them for all his life. But Erik had just first used his powers today and he was already thinking of doing stuff on his own. Arabella was a very protective little thing, she couldn't help it though.
"Yes, the gems don't lose their magic unless they are used." Arabella said and giggled as he gave the gem a glare. She couldn't imagine being hidden from the real world, not the fake world where just humans existed. Her being a witch made her Arabella, without it she would be nobody. She wasn't saying Erik was a nobody, because he certainly wasn't. She was just saying without magic she wouldn't know who she would be. Because she had never liven a life where magic for her didn't exist like Erik had. He pulled her out of her thoughts when he said he'd keep in mind the spending to much magic thing she had said. Arabella's eyes narrowed dangerously, meaning she meant business. "You better, because so help me god if you don't.." Arabella trailed off not knowing how to finish it. Even at the thought of Erik being injured or killed made her extremely upset. The last week it seemed she was getting emotionally attached to everyone. She had always tried not to get to involved but things happen for a reason and meeting Erik was no exception.
Arabella grinned at him as he commented on his repayment. He was such the confident mr to shoes. But she liked it, it fueled their readings back and forth. She was relieved that he didn't ask any questions when she walked away about her blush if he had seen it. She liked that about Erik, he wasn't pushy and waited for her to tell him something instead of pestering. When she looked for would she used her magic to snap of thick branches. She thought of how much Erik affected her, she shouldn't even be feeling these emotions towards him. It's not like Arabella could help it either, it just happened. Soon she found she didnt want to think about it and she headed to where Erik was waiting with a big pile of wood levitating behind her. She didnt look as Erik when she walked in, she put the wood on the ground and put a couple of logs on top of Erik's little fire."I think i got a decent amount." Arabella said with a smile. She sat down on the ground and watched the fire grow. She didn't speak, she really didn't know what to say. Should she tell him about her feelings for him, no. That would be to bold of a move, that had just become good friends, she didn't want to destroy that. So Arabella kept her mouth closed and eyes locked on the flames.

Erik heard her compliment on his job and he shrugged slightly, though it was obvious he was just shrugging to act like he was accepting the compliment. He was of course, but he knew that, but it was definitely always nice to hear that as well. "Thanks. Though I think I knew that."
he teased, giving her a sheepish grin, "I enjoy my job, I actually don't mind going to it, I get to solve puzzles every day, and kick people's asses to keep them in line." Mostly just the street cops though, detectives weren't usually that bad, but he still had to deal with a lot of idiots everyday, both on and off the force. Fortunately he did love Arabellla's company, and though as they were close, Erik felt a shock of magic it felt like, sparks fly down his spine and into his stomach, a warming sensation travel through his arms lightly, like butterflies on his skin. It felt wonderful, like it was the worst pain imaginable, but then sweet relief came, the type of relief that when you got it, it brought someone to their knees. Erik chuckled lightly at her comment on his ego, he and pouted, "That hurts Arabella." He shook his head, "I'm the good cop." he teased. Though course the moments their fingers touched, Erik could feel not only his own magic counter against hers, but there was something else. Something like it felt stronger than before, and he believed it felt like fire along his fingers where theirs had brushed, and when their fingers weren't touching, his fingers felt chilled slightly, as if they had been deprived of said warmth suddenly. So he should play it safe, was what he got from when Arabella told him to stick with the spells she'd given him. So what happened if he had to actually fight someone, defend himself or keep himself alive, hm? He wanted to ask her those questions, but he had a feeling she'd most likely go ahead and kick his ass, if not a little bit. Narrowing his eyes, he then shrugged, "Fine, I'll do what you said..." his lips twitched into a boyish smirk, "Till I get better." he gave her a grin that clearly read it was to be expected. He would want to push himself to become better than anyone, and best his parents, show them that he discovered their lie, and he would make them pay. Show them they shouldn't have done what they did, but did they have a good reason? Who knew. Either way he would get to the bottom of it. Suddenly, he perked upon hearing yet another threat promise come from her about listening to her. Grinning impishly, Erik inquired, tilting his head slightly, his eyes locked onto hers, "What? You'll punish me?" both his brows jerked up slightly, as if suggesting something before he backed off, a successful look over his features. Following her movements as she returned with some wood, Erik side-stepped as the wood came down on the fire and he felt the fire he'd created start to then grow. Grinning in triumph, he noted the silence that settled over them, and with one of the spells she'd given him, he tossed the history book into his bag and drew his bag over, setting it by them before he sat down right next to the blonde and inquired, "Want anything to drink?" he offered, pulling out three different drinks, a soda, water and then wine. He quirked an eyebrow before drawing a up leg and setting his foot down on a slight ledge on the rock he was on, his eyes locked onto the fire, watching the flames dance before his gaze then shifted to Arabella quietly, as if seeing her for the first time. Following a few embers as they floated into the sky, then sank back down after a few moments, Erik looked to the blonde next to him quietly, "So then tell me this, Arabella, when did you come to Manuka?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] words --- enough tagged --- milly love! ^^ <33 outfit --- coming soon. <3 just say the button-down shirt is black, with a pair of jeans XD template --- PANIC!
