I don't give a damn bout my bad reputation. Honestly, the phrase 'don't talk to strangers' did not occur to her at all when she switched on her laptop.
It was too late to back out now. Backing out would mean surrendering, and that was the last thing Rissa wanted to do. Surrendering was something that her race and family did not have much patience with, and they can hardly stand it if their opponent or if they themselves did so. It was no fun, raising the white flag so quickly. Where's the adrenaline rush? It wasn't exciting to see your opponent raising their hands in the dreaded gesture, demanding a quick death. And now Rissa was already wondering whether she had made a huge mistake, unconsciously setting up a...meeting with someone over the internet because the person on the other side seemed bored out of his mind and she had offered him entertainment because admittedly, she too had been bored. With no clients bugging her for blood, the internet was the way out.
Rissa entered the pool area, her green eyes flickering around out of habit, analyzing the area around her. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun that looked as though it had been done in a hurry which in truth, it was. The faerie then proceeded to flip-flop towards the seats, beach looking chairs waiting to be used, making as little noise as possible. The brunette was actually that Mr.Mystery wouldn't show up, that it was all a scam. It wasn't as though she actually believed it in the first place; the girl did want a swim. She did steer clear of the metal railings though, that were also used as stairs from the water. Rissa shuddered a little at the thought of touching metal, she may have very well been thinking of signing her own death warrant.
Dropping a towel and her personal belongings on a chair, Rissa proceeded to sit at the edge of the pool, allowing her long legs to dangle into the water. It was something she liked to do before diving into the water, although she did know full well that she was at risk of being pushed in. The faerie frowned, and her eyes flickered around again, as though someone was going to come over and knock her into the water. Upon finding no one in range, she forced herself to relax, her shoulders slumping down reluctantly. Even if she was in a public area with the risk of something happening to her pretty low, she still couldn't help but be alert at all times.
The pool area was noisy, with people chattering away to each other and the delighted screams of children piercing the air as they leaped into the water. Rissa allowed her eyes to slowly close, as they always did when she had her ears perked to focus on the voices even more. Already she had the thought that the internet guy wasn't coming; it was all a joke after all. Perhaps now she was allowed to sit here in peace, with nothing to kill and with nothing but the water at her legs.

How was that for spontaneous? Evan had gone from what would’ve previously been a boring afternoon to meeting up with a complete stranger at the pool. Fun? Yes. Smart? Most likely not. When it came to Evan’s decisions however, that was normally how they played out. He decided to do things based on how interesting it’d be, never making a logical decision once in his life. Emotions completely drove this kid. He honestly needed someone else to act as his brain if it ever came to a logical decision. Maybe that was why his life was such was a wreck.
Either way, Evan didn’t stop to think. He had half raced out of the house, only pausing to change into his swim trunks. He didn’t even think to grab a towel. All Evan knew was that he was out of the house faster than he had ever moved before, excited by the prospect of actually doing something today when he had previously thought it’d just be a wasted day of boring. There was a nagging part of his mind that kept wondering just how long his interest would be kept on this little swimming adventure.
That made Evan sound like a jerk, but it was true. The attention thing, not being a jerk. The young man was pretty sure he had some form of ADD, seeing as how he was unable to ever keep himself entertained for very long. He was constantly jumping from activity to activity, never settling down on one thing. Hell, he barely even sat still, always twitching or moving or something. And he got bored very easily, no matter just how interesting things were sometimes. Evan honestly couldn’t help it and if he could, he would honestly try. But the kid had given up on trying to change who he was a long time ago.
And sure, there were people who found him annoying and obnoxious and generally avoided him. He actually wouldn’t be surprised if that happened today, with this mystery girl. Most people Evan met ended up not liking him, even though he was very much a sweetheart when he was actually friends with people. And those people were the ones who accepted Evan just the way he was, quirks and all. Maybe that was why he ended up getting along with those people so well. He had to think of this whole swimming thing as an experiment of sorts, figure out how a stranger would react to him.
After what seemed like forever but could’ve only been a few minutes, Evan showed up at the pool. He looked around, spotting kids playing with their families, groups of girls sunning themselves, teenaged guys horsing around in the pool. That was the moment Evan realized how foolish this adventure had been. He knew next to nothing about the girl he was supposedly meeting here. Didn’t really know what she looked like, what her name was, if she’d even show. Though that was what tended to happen when you just jumped into things.
Evan raked a hand through his curly hair – it was much more unruly today than it normally was – and his big brown eyes scanned the pool area. Finally, he spotted a girl who was just sitting at the edge of the pool. He was going to take a chance and assume that that was her. The kid headed that direction, kicking his sandals off and losing them somewhere among the chairs filled with other peoples’ belongings. “Hey there,” he said, lowering himself to the edge of the pool and dangling his feet in the water as well, hoping he wasn’t making a mistake and completely creeping some random chick out.

I don't give a damn bout my bad reputation. 'He's not coming.' Rissa couldn't help but grin a little as her feet splashed a little in the water, already jumping to a conclusion. The dude wasn't coming. Although the faerie knew inwardly that the tables were due to turn anytime, she still couldn't help but think of that conclusion. She wasn't sure why herself; perhaps a mystery date with someone random over the internet wasn't exactly on her favorites list. To put it in the simplest way possible, Rissa's social life was crap. She has not dated, not kissed and the most she could do on a date is put a bullet through the guy's heart and as well as scare the living crap out of him at the same time. Countless of times that her siblings had tried to play cupid, but almost always most dates ended up with the boy running off. And she couldn't give two hoots about finding love anyway since she was a machine trained and programmed to kill.
Well...not really. At least not in most people's opinion.
Rissa snorted and tapped the back of her feet that was submerged in the water against the wall. She was giving random guy another five minutes before she was diving into the water for a swim. Heck, she had no idea how the hell did he even looked like anyway. He could be dressed up as one of the girls around here for all she knew. He could even be some pedophile or stalker or whatever. Even so, whatever he was, she knew that she could handle him. Hence the reason why the ring on her hand could be twisted to reveal a poison spike. There was also a little knife that was hidden cleverly at the back of her bikini top. You can't go parading around without at least one weapon on you at least in her opinion. Perhaps the main reason was that she was always alert, always watching out for signs of aggression from her enemies who could be hiding around here watching her right now.
So it really was no surprise to anyone who knew Rissa to leap to her feet immediately the moment a guy with curly hair decided to have the guts to plunk himself down next to her, giving her a casual greeting one might give to any other ordinary human. And as if on impulse, her foot lashed out onto the guy's back, sending him pummeling into the water, her face a mask of aggression. She stood at the edge of the pool, her fists raised and her green eyes flashing with the sign of battle. A thought clicked into her that she was overreacting just because an unknown stranger talked to her in a pool area, but that thought quickly disappeared as soon as it came.
"Are you the one I met over the internet?" she growled and raised an eyebrow. "Or were you sent?" Rissa's voice sounded hoarse even to her as she did not speak regularly, but the message was clear enough. [/blockquote]

It was fair to say that that definitely wasn’t the reaction Evan was expecting. Maybe a slap across the face – something he was no stranger to – from a girl who thought he was trying to pick her up. But being pushed into the pool? Certainly something new. And, since Evan didn’t have the quickest reflexes, he went into the pool face first at the same time he was taking a breath and his mouth and nose were instantly flooded with water, the chlorine causing the uncomfortable burning sensation it was known to do. No, this was definitely a first for the young man.
Yet, while other people might’ve been pissed off or just shocked into silence, Evan came up laughing. He wiped a hand over his face first, trying to get the water out of his eyes and then ran a hand through his curly hair. “That was certainly different,” he commented, a good natured smile still on his lips. He was still chuckling slightly as he waded back towards the edge of the pool where the girl was standing. Evan was in such a good mood, in fact, that he hadn’t entirely picked up on the girl’s mood. Not until he actually stopped long enough to notice it.
Despite her obvious anger, Evan couldn’t help but to continue laughing. He had thought that this whole thing was stupid – remember all those horror stories of talking to someone over the internet and then meeting them in person? – but it was quickly sliding into ridiculous and Evan loved it. He lived for the crazy, random, too-weird-to-be-true moments like this. Because that was what this was becoming. Had he been sent? Was this girl for real? Evan felt like they were playing some sort of game almost, though what it would be, he couldn’t tell you.
“Internet,” Evan said, answering her question. He was slightly distracted by the fact that she could raise her eyebrow – a talent Evan had always wanted but failed at. “From what I remember, you did invite me to come.” If said by anyone else, this comment would hold rudeness and attitude, but coming from Evan, it lacked both. Instead, there was still a light, crooked smile on his lips and a clearly entertained tone in his voice. It certainly didn’t match the mood radiating from the girl, but Evan didn’t much care. Not because he was purposely ignoring it but because Evan didn’t really know how to deal with anything in a way other than laughing.
She just needed to relax. That was all. At least that was what Evan though. She seemed way too tense, like she was constantly on the lookout, waiting for something and always prepared. Much too tense for a day at the pool. Evan was going to fix that. A slightly mischievous light suddenly shown in his honest brown eyes – an indicator that Evan was about to do something stupid. He didn’t stop to think because Evan never thought and if he ever did, it was much too late.
The young man placed his hands on the lip of the pool, pulling himself up out of the water. After he was out and next to the girl, he went to push her into the water without consideration of whether or not she’d actually appreciate it.
NOTE Sorry this took so long! I completely forgot we had this thread going.

I don't give a damn bout my bad reputation. The fairy watched apathetically as the human splashed into the water head first, her arms crossed over her chest. The mask of blankness soon switched into a glare; he sure had a lot of nerve coming onto her like that. This curly haired brunette could very well be a bloody assassin sent to hunt her down. No matter how innocent looking her was, Rissa was sure that he had other intentions at heart; no one actually accepted an invitation from a stranger over the internet right? She continued watching, her mouth pressed into a thin line. To be honest, one had to admire how she stared and glared, if her eyes could change into daggers at the moment, they would have shot out and stabbed the first target it saw.
It came as a shock to her, really, when the human burst out laughing. Taken aback, she took a step back, clearly startled. Who in their right minds would come up laughingafter somewhat just kicked you into the water? Certainly not her, she hardly laughed in the first place. Her face taking on a look of incredulity, she simply stared as he continued laughing, clearly speechless. My goodness, what the hell was she dealing here? Why was this particular human so complex? Snapping her mouth shut, she took no notice as he reminded her that she invited him, something that she was already marking as a mistake. Why, oh why did she have to end up with this particular idiot thing? Suddenly, she was wishing that something would attack her, something to distract her and get her away from this human. He was most certainly different from the others she associated with, and that was not a good change for her. She suddenly wanted to kill this boy for making her confused, this was not what she was supposed to feel after all. As the fairy's mind flew into her whirl, her fingers twitched to pull out the hidden blade in her top when the human got up and swiftly pushed her into the water.
Oh wow. Karma. She knew that she should have seen this coming.
Completely unprepared, she fell into the water face first , feeling the water smack into her. She plunged into the bottom, her eyes widening, trying to take in what the hell just happened. A human had pushed her into the water. A human had the nerve to actually touch her. Shaking with indignation, Rissa kicked out with her legs and pushed herself to the surface, her face switching back to its usual blankness, but her eyes glinted with rage. The female pushed herself out of the water, avoiding the metal railings at all costs and stood in front of the male. "Of all the rotten luck." she remarked dryly with a hint of rage, folding her arms. "To be pushed into the water by a human."
"Who...the hell are you?" she finally added.
