His insomnia had started acting up again last night and he hadn't crashed until sometime after four. Not like he needed sleep anyways, he was a vampire. Immortal. He didn’t need sleep like how other humans did. He just slept just for the sake to dream. Surprisingly the immortal was rather relaxed for someone who could barely afford rent and food every month. That why he had Allegra. She provided him food, clothes and a roof over his head. Without her, he would be living in a worn down apartment, barely able to pay for the rent. Allegra told him that he should start doing something with his life now. He didn’t have to look for her anymore. He needed to find something else to do. Besides it gave him an excuse to look for a new job. He had been doing that for the past couple of days. He tried wooing the bosses but failed terribly. His natural charisma wasn’t working on the humans. But today, today he didn't feel like job hunting. He just didn’t. He was bored. He sat on the edge of his bed, his baggy pajamas shifting smoothly, his bare feet cold against the hardwood flooring. He looked around the room looking for the love of his life. Allegra was already gone now. She was not in the room anymore, but his scent still lingered there. She most likely had gone out to do something – whatever it was. She was a busy woman, always had something to do. About fifteen minutes later he was walking down the edge of the island, where the waters touched the land. The sky was clear, a smile appearing on Kingsley’s face as he looked at his surroundings. It was absolutely beautiful, the warm weather welcoming Kingsleys’s laziness. His bare toes filtered through the soft sand, a light chuckle erupting from his chest as the little granules tickled his feet. The light haired vampire found himself having even more fun than he thought he was going to have. After all have you ever heard of someone that had fun at a beach alone? It was pitiful that Kingsley didn’t have friends to go with, but he didn’t care. He had Allegra, his lover, but she was out doing whatever girly activities she usually did. The vampire didn’t like interacting with humans because he didn’t like feeling emotionally attached to them, knowing that they were just going to grow old and die. The sensitive being didn’t think he could take that loss over and over again as he stayed young and preserved in his vampiric state. Then again, he didn’t like humans either. He allied himself with the dark side, wanting the feeble humans to rot in hell and die off. They were just taking up space in this world. They weren’t needed here. They were weak and useless. Kingsley’s stomach rumbled and he looked down, a confused look on his face as he stared at his bare stomach. He had fed earlier today. There was no way in hell he could be hungry now. The adult was wearing just his swimming trunks and a t-shirt, the rest of his clothes tucked away safely in his bag which was laying on his towel. Thank goodness that the wind wasn’t acting up that day or his towel totally would have flown away. That wouldn’t be good, especially because that was his only towel at the moment. He grinned down at his towel, the thought crossing his thought process and making him place his bag on top of the towel just in case the wind decided to pick up. Sliding his flip flops off and next to his bag, Kingsley made sure that everything was in order before taking off towards the clear, beautiful water. Giving a loud whoop of pure joy, Kingsley threw himself into the waves, a grin on his face as he took a deep breath before going into a dive. It felt exhilarating to him. His t-shit became skin tight as it absorbed the salty liquid and Kingsley had to be careful to keep his back under the water. Though Kingsley being Kingsley hadn’t thought about what would happen when he wanted to get out of the water. He should have an extra shirt in his bag. Swiftly, he swam towards the surface and pushed himself out, getting back on to dry land. He pried the wet shirt off his back and threw it down next to his towel. Then his sensitive, enhanced hearing picked up the sound of footsteps nearing towards him. His head jerked up and he awaited for the stranger to reveal themselves. there can be only one mikey! of caution 2.0 |
