Your heaven's trying to bring me down. "Ooh, ow! Ow! Dammit! It's hot! My feet are on fire! Holy-" The obscenities that soon followed continued as Sebastian hopped across the sand, letting out a rather nasty word each time he stepped on a shell or whatever it was that he had unintentionally stomped on. The shifter had made sure that no one was around the beach before he started going towards the ocean because he was pretty sure that the sand would be roasting and he would be yelling throughout the way. And yell he did, words that a manners expert might take serious offense at. Yes, he knew that bad words would not do well with the ladies, but since the beach was pretty much empty, he was free to do whatever he pleased, which included swearing in every step that he took. Anyone watching would have thought Sebastian stupid for not shifting and clearing the hot sand in a few seconds, but for some reason, he had something against shifting randomly unless he really really wanted and needed to. And to him, the situation didn't really call for it so...he was going through the hard way. When he finally made it to the water, Sebastian whooped and clearly acted as though he would never see water again. He leaped into the blue, at the last minute remembering to remove his clothing until he has nothing but a pair of surfing shorts on (which he had thoughtfully remembered to wear before scooting off to the beach) He fell into the water and allowed himself to sink under, his brown head disappearing beneath the waves. Soon he was surrounded by nothing but a shade of blue-green water, seeing nothing but the color. He felt peaceful beneath the waves, unable to hear anything nor being able to speak not without getting a mouthful of salt water. To be honest, he wouldn't mind dying here actually, in such a peaceful place. Unlike most felines who hated water, Sebastian adored it. "It gives me a place to think." he noticed. When his lungs were beginning to cry out for air, with reluctance, he pushed himself up and soon found himself on the surface again. Lying down on his stomach, he allowed the waves to push him towards the shore, not liking the thought of fighting against nature itself. He soon washed up on the shore and rolled over onto his back, starring up into the azure sky. The island was a perfect getaway from reality, but with unhappiness, he knew that he was going to return to it sometime later. The cheetah's current light eyes that rivaled the sky slowly closed and Sebastian laid there, preparing to doze off. It was a nice day today, and no doubt perfect for a nap. notes: blaargh intros. -.- [/blockquote]

It honestly had been a pretty darn good morning for him to wake up to. He had finished his physics project in order to graduate, and the full moon was about two weeks away. Usually the were didn't plan till last minute, as he already knew what all he had to do. Sighing softly, the black-haired male had stumbled out of bed, having been out late last night exploring the wilderness. Grumbling slightly, he then prepared himself - rather reluctantly - for the day. Glancing outside, bright blue eyes narrowed slightly, though he went with his own initial thought. The beach or something. He then grabbed something rather quick to eat to hold himself over for awhile, and then proceeded to mess with his hair. Ridiculous. At least it tended to obey what he made it to. The 6'4" male then approached his cell phone, checking for something from Vivienne, ever since she'd discovered what he was, by him trying to protect her, he wasn't sure what was going to happen, he knew he would do absolutely anything to be able to still see her as much as possible. Clutching his phone, keys and wallet, he then headed out of his apartment, allowing his mind to wander and to wake up, having gotten into bed around 2 or so in the morning. He'd need to make sure to try and not to do that again. Except for the nights of the full moon, otherwise he always made sure that he got "sick" that night and couldn't make it to class the next day if he felt absolutely horrible.
The next thing Owen knew, he was on the Island, meant mainly for supernaturals. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, the black-haired male looked around him quietly, inhaling slowly, memorizing the scents and getting a bit of a lay-out of the area just by looking around and smell. Sometimes it did pay to be able to smell things from a mile away, though other time it absolutely sucked, like if someone had horrible odor, then he usually tried to just breathe through his nose. Another reason why he loved spending time with the blonde, was that she smelled like a mixture of baby powder and some flower scents. He wasn't entirely sure what the flowers were, but he knew either way they smelled heavenly. He got that goofy grin guys got when they thought of that girl that they liked, and he paused when he reached the border of the shade of the trees and the sun-bathed beach. Pausing, bright eyes took in the scene as he adjusted his glasses, before looking towards something quite unusual.
A cheetah. It had to be a shifter. Unless it escaped from the zoo and somehow got here, he wasn't sure. Glancing down to the sand he knew all too well that was hotter than hell, he debated on whether or not to approach the shifter as a huge wolf or as himself. Scowling at the dilemma, he then shed his clothes down to the swimming trunks and headed calmly out onto the sand. Good, the heat didn't burn his feet, only bothered them slightly, probably due to him walking around in the woods most of the nights. Running a hand over his black hair smoothly, he cautiously approached the cheetah and mused, "How's the water?" he eyed it curiously, before grinning shyly, then stepping away and heading out to where his feet would be encased by the water. Crossing his arms for a moment, the male then turned back to the cheetah and then headed back towards the brush, where he had his towel and his clothing in the shade. Upon arriving there, he then shifted easily out of his form and a massive black wolf appeared, about the size of a smaller horse. Stepping into the sunshine, the wolf then bounded towards the water and stopped when it came up to his long legs, letting it get his fur wet. Probably wasn't the best idea, but it kept him from getting too cold from the water, and plus, he felt better in this form. Turning back towards the shifter, Owen then gestured for him to join him.
all I need is just a little emotion

Your heaven's trying to bring me down. A warm, gentle breeze ruffled the cat's fur as he snoozed, lifting it up and scattering a few loose hairs away. His tail twitched and he sneezed, his nose tickled by the breeze. The sand was extremely hot, but in his kitty form, he was pretty much alright with it. Even though he was asleep, he still had one ear perked up in case anything should happen, which means he could also hear everything that went on around him. He heard the sounds of the water sloshing onto the shore, the loud thunk of a coconut as it fell out of its tree, the sound that the wind made when it blew, a loud whoosh. Even though he could hear everything around him, it didn't stop his mind from processing a dream. It was something that he would rather forget, something that his mind constantly played over and over again at random times like this and it was also something that he would rather not reminisce. If Sebastian had a choice of removing a memory from his head, this one would have been his first choice.
He felt his feline muscles stiffen and his claws unsheathe automatically, digging into the sand. The burning sand that he had been feeling underneath him disappeared only to be replaced by a plane chair, with him sitting in it in his human form, his arms resting on the arm rests comfortably. Next to him was a petite blonde girl with green guys, reading the safety rules over and over again. Marie, who immediately noticed her soon to be husband watching her, smiled and asked "What're you thinking Sebby?" Those were her last words and the next thing he knew, everything was in chaos. The pilot's voice blarring out all of a sudden, ordering his passengers to return to their seats immediately. Knowing immediately what was about to happen next, death had been imminent for many people on board that time. The scene shifted and he was outside, watching the fire consume the last of the once proud flying vehicle. Sebastian struggled mentally to break free of the nightmare, not wanting to witness the horror happening again when a voice, a soft, bashful one spoke.
"How's the water?"
It was male, and Sebastian was immediately thankful that it wasn't female. He didn't want some random chick seeing him locked in a nightmare. He opened one eye and was just in time to see a lanky figure head towards the shade of the beach. From the boy's lingering scent, Sebastian knew immediately that he was some dog or something. His nose out of habit, wrinkled. Dogs. Oh, how he disliked them. They were bad for cats, and he had never liked them coming after him and his tail as most mutts had a bad habit for snapping at it. With a soft growl in reply, he closed his eye and shifted back into his original form. No, he most certainly did not want a dog biting at him at the moment. He stared, mouth slightly agape as the now black wolf walked out to sea, stopping at a spot where the water nearly reached up to his belly fur. Sebastian scooted to his feet when the wolf made some weird indication to come over and he splashed into the waves, soon coming face to face with the wolf. In a friendly personal way of his in greeting, he flicked the wolf's nose with his finger. He wasn't exactly sure whether he could understand the language wolves used when the mutt replied, but he tried anyway.
"Bonjour, chien!" he chirped cheerily, randomly switching to French before bouncing back to normal, putting the nightmare away for the moment. He didn't want to go all depressed on this person or werewolf. "What are ya doin' here on this here pretty island? Careful though, there are monsters around here." His face broke into a huge grin at the last line. [/blockquote]
