Jessamine was walking through the streets of town, not really paying any attention to anything. She was being haunted by her thoughts, to say the least. She had been getting major waves of nostalgia lately and it was starting to wear on her. It had started when she was talking with Damon about London. It had made her miss England oh so much and then ever since that night she had been in a daze of sorts. She hadn't been this affected since Thomas left her. Just thinking about him gave her a dull ache in her gut.
She thought about him sometimes, but never this much. She wouldn't admit this, but she missed him so much it hurt. Even after all of these years, she missed him. Yes, she was angry and hurt that he had left her for that other girl, but she still ached for him. She often thought about what had become of him. He had probably married that girl, had beautiful children that looked just like him, lived a long and happy life and died peacefully. Half of her wished that for him, the other half wished he had been miserable without her, and that he had died alone and miserable. But it didn't matter anyway, he was long dead and gone. That was the one thing with being a vampire that she despised. While everyone she knew lived to be old and eventually died, she had to keep going. Keep going and moving on. Which is why she hated starting relationships, even friendships. She preferred to be alone, simply because she didn't have to worry about losing those she loved. She wasn't as cold and heartless as she appeared to be. She had her reasons.
Jessamine noticed with a start that there were no more lights surrounding her. She glanced around her and nearly laughed at herself. She had ended up in the deserted alleyways of town, where only the hobos and supernatural creatures roamed. Oh well, she could find herself a little snack for the evening. She looked down at herself and made a face. She wasn't wearing her usual kinky outfits, this night she had on regular skinny jeans with tennis shoes and a black cami. Her hair was pretty plain, just down and straight. She hadn't put much thought into her wardrobe, mainly because she just wasn't in the mood. She was feeling a little depressed to say the least.
She stopped in the middle of one of the alleyways, just to gather her surroundings. She heard some rustling near a old dumpster down the alley so she started towards it. As she rounded the large dumpster, she saw a hobo slumped against the wall and she smiled. This was easy, too easy almost. She knelt down in front of him and watched as he looked her up and down. She wasn't feeling the best looking tonight, so when she saw his sly smile she frowned in confusion. Oh well. She didn't want to deal with the usual foreplay tonight so she just grabbed him by the shoulders and dragged him towards her, her fangs locking onto his neck. She drained him dry before she carelessly threw him off of her and stood. Without looking down at him she spun on her heel and walked away. She walked to the end of that particular alleyway and into a different one, where it was blessedly free of people. There she walked over to the wall and leaned against it, sliding slowly to the ground where she pulled her knees up to her chest and buried her face in her arms. Now Thomas has been searching and he has been searching for a long time. He has wandered all over the world, alone and lonely. It serves him right, if he hadn’t been a coward and given in to the simplest of threats he wouldn’t have been alone and he wouldn’t have had to roam all over the planet alone. He came across this city they call Manuka and he felt compelled to stay. He had been here a month now and he had finally found a place to live, the rent was pretty steep but it was worth it. So far he hadn’t come across what he has been searching for but he knew, he just knew that she was here. Jessamine was here and he was going to find her whether she wanted to be found or not. He needed to see her, he needed to explain everything. He hoped that she would listen, even if she didn’t believe him, which he figured she wouldn’t, he would still feel better knowing that he had a chance to explain himself. He will love her forever, even if she couldn’t love him anymore. He understood if she couldn’t bring herself to trust or love him again.
He stepped out his front door and pulled his black coat on over his shoulders. He had no idea where he was going to go tonight. For the past month he had been wandering around the entire city searching for her. She had been turned into a vampire many years ago, but he didn’t know her scent anymore, her entire aura had been shifted once she was turned so he was just going on by sight. He had to do it all the hard way and trust his eyes to point him in the right direction. He walked and walked, past a small park, along the edge of a deep dense forest, past some pretty swanky looking houses and then a small mall and a few clubs. He walked and walked his thoughts were completely gone now, he wasn’t even really thinking at all. The only thing in his mind was her face; he could never forget how she looked. He thought of her perfect bone structure, her intimate eyes and perfect dark hair. You know people carried photos of loved ones they have lost, not him there was no need, all he had to do was close his eyes and there she was, looking as beautiful as ever.
After a little while he left suburbia and entered the desolate part of town, abandoned shops and dense alleyways were only a few bums lived. There was no movement, why he continued to keep walking into the darkness he didn’t know; he followed his gut on this one. He stopped under a broken street light and looked around the place. Not a single soul was there, no one he could see, he assumed there were some homeless down the alleys but hey everyone to their own. Suddenly there was movement and his eyes snapped to the figure walking in the darkness. He squinted through the darkness and could make out that it was a female. It was only when she looked his way but didn’t see him did the moon light bounce of her face in the perfect way showing of an amazing bone structure and intimate set of orbs that he would never forget for the rest of eternity. It was Jessamine. A massive lump sprung up in his throat and his heart stopped beating, his breath being forced to stop in its tracks in his chest. He had found her, at long last he as looking at the real deal.
He watched her, his eyes unblinking, she entered the darkness of an alleyway and his legs were moving him across the darkened street, before he knew it. He stopped at the mouth of the alley and peered into the darkness. From the light of the moon that streamed in from the entrance of the alley he could see her standing there next to a dumpster. What was she doing down there just standing there not moving. It wasn’t long till his unspoken question was answered, as he watched her lean down and she disappeared behind the dumpster. Only moments later did the smell of fresh blood entered his nostrils. She was feeding, the thought of her having to do such a thing made his stomach turn. If it wasn’t for his selfishness she wouldn’t have been turned into a vampire and she wouldn’t have to feed of filthy bum’s to survive. He backed away from the mouth of the alley and hid just inside of another nearby. He listened intently and the sound of her footsteps entered his ears and soon she exited the alley he peered around just in time to see her enter another one.
He forced the lump in his throat down and silently left the alleyway he was hiding in and quickly and quietly made his way over to the alley she had just entered. He stopped and peered down into the semi darkness. At first he couldn’t find her but soon his eyes locked onto her, she had placed herself into a sitting position against the dirty wall, her knees where brought up and her face buried in her arms. He instantly felt a twang of guilt in his stomach. Even thought she had probably forgotten about him a long time ago, he couldn’t help but feeling like he cause her pain all the time. She had been giving the gift of eternity just like he had but it didn’t make up for the fact that he had broken her heart. He couldn’t just stand there anymore he had to say something to her. He took a deep breath and stepped out into the mouth of the alley but didn’t approach her; he didn’t want to scare her. “Still as beautiful as always, Jessie” he said calling her something only he had ever called her. He slipped his hands into his pockets and looked to the ground, the silence killed him.

She really should have been paying attention. It was so unlike Jessamine to let her guard down, especially when she was alone. She was still sitting with her head buried in her arms when she heard someone nearby. It was a little too close for comfort. It was then she heard the voice, the voice she hadn't heard in years, but still sounded exactly as she remembered it. "Still beautiful as always, Jessie." That nickname... that voice... it couldn't be. Jessamine looked up, her eyes locking on the figure standing near the mouth of the alleyway. He had his hands in his pockets, and his eyes were on the ground. But she knew that man. Her breath caught in her throat and she started trembling. It had been years, hundreds of years, but he looked exactly the same as the last day she saw him. Her mouth was opened slightly, not sure what to say. It was definitely him, Thomas.
She was going crazy. All of her years trying to get away from his painful memory was starting to affect her, she was hallucinating. He couldn't be standing there, it was impossible. It had been three hundred years, this couldn't be real. He had to have died so many years ago, with his wife and children and grandchildren gathered around him, a normal human death. Her eyes were probably as big as saucers as she looked at him. She slowly pushed herself to her feet, her eyes never leaving him. She was scared that if she looked away for even a second, he would be gone. "Tommy?" She whispered, her hand flying to her mouth.
She didn't want this hallucination to end, it was too perfect. Whenever Jessamine thought of heaven, she always pictured his beautiful face waiting for her so they could spend the rest of eternity together. But she would never die. She was cursed to stay on this world until it ended, possibly even beyond that. She couldn't have gotten this lucky. No, because it was impossible that he was even here. He wasn't a vampire, she could tell that a mile away. What was wrong with her?
She stepped forward, very slowly. What if this was some kind of trick? Some witch tricking her with some spell? Well, the only way she was going to find out was to check it out for herself. She kept walking, her hand still over her mouth. When she was standing right in front of him, she reached out, so very carefully, and stroked his cheek with the back of her hand so light she was hardly touching him. She had experienced hallucinations before, and she had never been able to touch them. She trailed her hand down, gently brushing over his arm and chest before pausing with her hand right in the middle of his chest. She looked up into his eyes, hope blossoming in her chest. "You're alive..." she whispered as a hint of a smile touched her lips.
Her mind flew back hundreds of years to the last time she had seen him. He had been telling her about this other woman, how he wasn't going to run away with her because he had met someone else. She remembered the pain she had felt in that moment, the way her heart felt like it had shattered into a million pieces. And just like that, all the hope that had filled her was replaced with anger and hatred. What was he doing here? After all of this time, he had come to her now. Why? Why was he even here? What was he, that he was still alive after all this time? So many questions...
Her eyes narrowed and her eyebrows pulled together as she backed away, pulling her hand back to her side. "How are you here, alive? Why are you here? I thought we settled this oh so long ago, why are you here now? What about that little bitch you left me for?!" She was downright pissed now, and he was about to completely regret coming to find her. She felt a sob rising and she didn't even think before she punched him, right square in the jaw. But that wasn't enough for her; she kept going at it. She punched him in the stomach, the arms, just about anywhere she could. She didn't even realize she was crying until her vision had been completely blurred by her tears. After a moment, she couldn't go anymore. Her arms fell limp at her sides, and she just stood there, sobbing with tears rolling down her face. Even though she was furious with him, no matter how much he had hurt her, no matter how much she wanted him to suffer for what he did to her, Jessamine still loved him with all of her heart. Standing there he felt sick, his stomach was turning and he felt as though he was going to vomit. Standing there now waiting for her to realise who he was, was just like the day he told her that he was leaving her. He didn’t blame her if she hated him; he hoped with all his immortal being that she didn’t hate him and that she would let him explain. Then once he was able to explain, he hoped she believed him. Everything thing he had done back then he had done for her. Even though he didn’t really think things through and he could have gone about fixing the situation a little better, what was done was done and he as standing here prepared to spend eternity making it up to her, if she will let him. His eyes were on the ground but he could see in the corner of his eyes that she had moved, she had looked up at his figure standing there at the mouth of the alley, his hands in his pockets. She then whispered his name in her perfect voice, a voice he hadn’t heard in more than 300 years.
His heart started to race slamming itself against his ribcage. He looked up at her, her hand was over her mouth and the look on her face told him that she didn’t quite believe he was really there. He knew how that felt, over the year he thought he had seen her so many times but it was never her, not until now. She was really standing there looking gobsmacked. It would be confusing for her as she had gone the last 300 years believing that he would have died a normal human dead about 250 years ago. Seeing him standing there now would have just blown her vampiric mind. He didn’t move a muscle he didn’t even blink, his breath was normal but his heart was erratic in his chest. She watched her as she started to approach him, ever so slowly, he swallowed the lump in his throat as she stopped in front of him and she reached up and touched his face, at her touch his heart instantly slowed to normal and his eyes closed as her touch left his face and came to rest on his chest.
Her voice entered his ears again and he opened his eyes to look at her. He didn’t really know if her question was rhetorical or she required an answer. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to make the words even if he wanted to. There was a silence between then for a moment; he just looked down at her gorgeous face. She hadn’t changed one bit, she was still how he remembered her. The last day he saw her he witnessed her crying, her face scrunched up in pain as he told her he was leaving her. Now he looked down at her, her face was confused and beautiful. He could only imagine what was running through her head right now. He had to say something, he didn’t know if he could handle the silence between them, even though he was enjoying the time just looking at her beautiful face he really needed to explain himself; try and convince her that his leaving her wasn’t by choice. If he knew back then that he could have gone about it a different say he would have done it.
Then her face turned from confusion to anger she frowned and she stepped back her hand leaving his chest and dropping down to her side again. She looked at him and the question started to pour out of her mouth like verbal pollution, but he didn’t expect any less from her at all. It was her last question that pained his heart. The “little bitch” he left with all those years ago was an extremely powerful witch and he didn’t have a choice, in leaving with her. His face washed over with pain and sadness as he opened his mouth to give her answers to her questions but he was stopped by her fist coming towards his face and it connected with his jaw, he felt it crack on impact, lucky for him his immortal blood minimized almost all pain and allowed him to heal pretty much instantly. He straightened his head again but he didn’t make eye contact with her, his eyes full of tears. Instantly more angered blows connected with his body and all make him stumble back.
He was still looking away from her when the abuse stopped and the sound of her sobbing made him look up, tears rolling down his face with the movement. His heart felt as though someone had punched straight through his chest and was squeezing his heart, as he watched her crying. He had only ever seen her cry like this once before, the day he left her. Now he was being reunited with her and again he had caused her so much brief and pain. He felt as though he didn’t deserve to live anymore. “Jessie, it’s not what you think”
he finally said his voice a little croaky. “Please will you let me explain?” he asked moving a little closer to her but not to close just in case she decided to take another swing at him. He needed to explain the to her the truth about why he left her, he needed to explain to her whether she believed him or not saying it to her will make him feel better, sort of. This was such a surreal moment that it was hard to believe it was actually happening. Jessamine was still having a bit of a problem wrapping her mind around the reality of this all. As she stood there crying, she couldn't help but think she was dying. She was shaking so badly she couldn't possibly still be on her feet and she was gasping for breath now. She hated being this weak and vulnerable. The last time she had cried... She couldn't even remember the last time it had happened. The only time she could think of was when he told her he was leaving her. This was such against her personality, but at the same time he had always made her contradict herself.
She really needed to get herself together. She closed her eyes, taking a couple of deep breaths. When her breathing had returned to normal, she wiped her hand across her face, trying to get rid of the damned tears. She was still shaking though. She had no idea how to stop that. His voiced reached her ears just then, his beautiful velvet voice she had missed so much. "Jessie it's not what you think. Please will you let me explain?" Her eyes snapped open, locking onto him. Seeing his beautiful face streaked with tears gave her an ache in her gut. She had never seen him cry before, and it kind of scared her. He had always been her protector, always the one to tell her it was going to be okay. And seeing him like this was a little hard for her. She was mad, yes, but all she wanted to do right in that moment was wrap her arms around him and kiss his tears away.
Explain? Explain what? What was there to explain? He had wanted to leave her; he had found someone else. What else could there be to this? She was having a major inner conflict going on right now. She wanted to hear what he had to say, wanted to believe him with all of her heart. But at the same time, he had lied to her once. How did she know he was even telling the truth? She was so mad, angry, hurt, and confused. "How am I supposed to believe you? You lied to me once, how do I know you're telling the truth?" But... There was something. She stopped talking, just froze and looked at him.
It was hard to fake emotion like that. His beautiful face looked so crushed, and he had tears slowly sliding down his cheeks. He was alive, and he had been looking for her. That had to mean something, right? She felt her own eyes fill with tears again and when she blinked they spilled over and slid slowly down her face. And she realized in that moment she wanted to hear what he had to say. She wanted to know what had happened all those years ago that made him leave. She believed in second chances, and isn't what this was? A second chance? She stepped closer to him, her eyes locking onto his. "Okay, explain then." She wanted to trust him, and she thought that maybe she could. She was still a little doubtful, but she would give it a shot. Only because she loved him, and maybe fate had been kind to her. Given her a second chance with him. It was possible, right? Thomas glanced up at her through his tear soaked eyes and he could see in her face that she was thinking over what he had said to her. He prepared himself for her to turn around and say no, for her to say that she didn’t want anything to do with him and she never wanted to see him again. If she did say this he would try again and again, he needed to explain himself, he had to explain himself, if he was going to live forever then he had to get this massive weight of his shoulders, he didn’t think he could go on feeling this dark cloud hanging over his head. She then spoke and the words she spoke was what he was expecting, how was she going to believe him, why should she believe him? He wanted nothing more and he hoped with everything that he was that she did believe him but if she chose to not believe him then so be it, he couldn’t force her to believe he couldn’t make her even more mad at him. He just wanted to hold her again in his arms and never let her go.
She looked at him and the tear stains on her cheeks and her red blood shot eyes from crying shattered his heart. He hated himself for making her so upset all over again. He just wanted to grab hold of her hands in his and clutch them to his body so they wouldn’t shake uncontrollably, but he didn’t he didn’t want to touch her, just in-case he repulsed her and she became more upset and enraged, he didn’t want to cause her more pain. He just wanted her to be happy and never sad again for the rest of her days. She then stepped a little closer to him and her familiar scent entered his nose and it made him go weak in the knees. It was the smell he remember smelling everyday they were together before he left, before she was changed into a vampire and before he sold his soul so he could spend the rest of his life trying to find her. He just wanted to wrap his arms around her small body in his strong arms and never let her go again. He ached to touch her again.
A wave of relief washed over him when she told him she would listen to him explain, he wanted to jump for joy because he would have the chance to redeem himself with her. He held his excitement in as it was only a chance to explain, it might not make much difference, if she didn’t believe him or forgive him if she did believe him. “I didn’t want to leave you”
he said a sob catching in his throat. He looked up at her another tear rolling down his face. “A powerful witch named Havana picked me as her mate and she forced me to leave you or she would kill you” he said swallowing the lump in his throat as he remembered the day Havana walked into his life, he had been out buying some flowers for Jessamine when she told him that he had to go away with her or she would kill the lady he was buying the flowers for. He believed her with everything that he was she proved to be a witch, with a smile spell, one that was child’s play then a big one that changed everything in his life. “I didn’t think about it all I knew was that I had to leave to stop you from being killed, I had full intentions on coming back to you once I was free of her” he said stepping a closer to Jess. “I figured out how to live for ever” he said pausing for a moment. “I gave up being human and became an immortal, I killed Havana and returned back to your home, but you were gone” he looked right into her eyes and sighed. “The last 300 years have been on big search for you” he said frowning a little bit to stop more tears from falling down his soulless cheeks. “I don’t expect you to believe me let alone forgive me for lying to you but I just needed you to know the truth” he said pushing his hands into his pockets, his eyes dropping to the ground. He stayed in silence to give her all the time she needed to process everything he had just said to her.[/blockquote][/blockquote] What's on your mind, boy? NoneWho is this baby for? As she listened to him explain himself, Jessamine couldn't help but buy into it. It hadn't made sense for him to leave her. They had been together for just under a year when they made plans to run away together. And then all of a sudden he just changed his mind, met someone else. It hadn't made any sense at the time. But as he was explaining now, the pieces seemed to fall into place a bit. Over the years the idea had occurred to her that something like this had happened. But more like his parents found out what was going on and then set him up with some girl and made them marry. A few scenarios like that had occurred to her, but she hadn't thought of any kind of supernatural interference.
"I don’t expect you to believe me let alone forgive me for lying to you but I just needed you to know the truth” Did she believe him? It made sense, seeing as he was here now, 300 years since they had been born. And besides, he had just told her he had spent 300 years looking for her. And he had done it all to protect her, to make sure she didn't get killed. Well, in a sense she did. She was a vampire now after all. He looked down, his eyes leaving hers. She was just aching to reach out and touch him, wipe his tears away and assure him she still loved him and now they had the rest of eternity to be together. She realized with a start that that's what she wanted. She wanted him, more than ever before.
Seeing how hurt he looked made her tremble more. As he first started talking she heard the sob rising and she flinched, wanting to hold him until all of their problems were fixed. As she watched him, she could see how hard this must have been for him. She wanted to hear what he had to say, but more than anything she wanted to just touch him. Her emotions were all over the place and it was even confusing her. She was dying to hold him, and then the next second she wanted to punch him for what had happened. Apparently love did this to a person. But one thing remained the same, she loved him. She always had, and she always would.
She was practically jumping up in down inside as she finally was hit with the realization that they would both live forever, and they could be together until the world ended. That's what she wanted more than anything. Even if she lived to be a million years old she would never grow tired of him. When he left her, her life had practically ended. The rest of these 300 years had just been one big blur of nothing, and now that he was here with her, her life could start up right where they left off. They wouldn't be able to have children, but that was just fine. As long as she was with him nothing else mattered.
He had stepped closer, and now only a foot or so remained between them. She stepped forward again, but not too close. She reached up and lifted his chin so she was looking into his eyes. "I... I believe you. I don't know why, but I do" She whispered. And with that she moved her hand to his cheek where she gently wiped his tears away. Her hands were still shaking, but she was able to successfully rid his cheeks of tears. Her eyes filled with her own tears again, just because she was here with Thomas after all of these years. She tried to blink them away but it wasn't working, they just fell over and slid down her face. Thomas was dying inside just waiting for her to let what he had just explained work its way over her. Every word he spoke was the truth; he wasn’t going to lie to her ever again. If she forgave him and they could be together for the rest of eternity, that is how long he would spend making up for what he had done. She had spent the last 300 years believing that he didn’t love her and that he had run away from her because he wanted to be rid of her. That would have been harder than anything she had to go through, knowing this in his heart crushed it. He just wanted to turn back time and run away with her when he had the chance, if he hadn’t have told her that he needed to take care of some things before they left then they would have been able to be together, grow old together, have children and die at the right old age together. He had fucked up and now she has heart broken and probably wouldn’t forgive him. He felt in his gut that she was going to tell him to leave her alone and never try and contact her again. He would do whatever she wanted. He got to tell her the truth and he got the see her and that would be enough for him, it kill him to walk away but he would.
He stepped forward just wanting to be as close to her as possible. When she finally looked up at him and stepped forward he prepared himself for another round of punches but looking into her eyes before she spoke told him that she was all punched out and it would be verbal hurt he would receive. He was pleasantly surprised that, that didn’t come either. When she spoke her voice was soft but full of hurt, but it was the words she spoke that made his heart pound like a jack hammer. She believed him and she didn’t know why, he didn’t care about her uncertainties she believed him and that was best thing he had heard in a very long time. He watched her hand as she lifted it to touch his cheek. She wiped away the tears on his skin and the touch of hers made his tingle. He reached up and placed his hand on hers and placed her hand on his chest, his hand covering hers. The beating of his rapid heart against his ribcage could be felt. A smile spread slowly as he looked into her tear filled eyes. He watched as they spilled over onto her cheeks. He reached down placed his lips on her tears and kissed them away. He then pulled her into his chest and hugged her tight.
“I love you Jessamine” he whispered and closed his eyes. Her familiar scent entered his nose and it brought back memories of them meeting in secret, making love by campfire, walking in the rain and laughing together holding hands. The memories made his heart pound again; they had the rest of eternity to spend with each other and that was okay with him. They would never be able to have children or grow old together and die together in each other’s arms, but he didn’t care now none of that mattered. After 300 hundred years of being alone just searching for her, everything was all better now. Yeah, well he didn’t believe that completely but he like the idea that it could be one day soon. “I am so sorry” he whispered and pulled back out of their hug and he looked into her eyes. “I will never leave you again, I promise” he said placing his forehead on hers and closed his eyes. A clap of thunder sounded above them and a fresh blanket of rain started to fall down on them, Thomas didn’t even noticed that it was raining, just being in her embrace was enough to let everything else just melt away, nothing else mattered to him right now.

From his expression, Jessamine had to give it a second before what she said registered in his mind. She could see in his eyes that he was preparing for rejection, and it made her feel wonderful to be able to give him the opposite of his expectations. She nearly danced for joy when he placed his hand on hers. Her breath caught in her throat when he placed her hand over his chest so she could feel his heart. So warm, so comforting. His heart was beating faster than a hummingbird, and for the first time in 300 years, she got butterflies in her stomach. When his mouth turned up in a smile, she couldn't help but smile back at him. She hadn't been this happy in a very long time.
He leaned in and brushed his lips softly over her cheeks to clear her tears away, and she couldn't remember a time when she felt more alive. Her skin was tingling at his touch, and she longed for those lips to be on her own. All in due time, though. And then finally, finally! after 300 years, she was in his arms again. Safe, sound, right where she belonged. She nuzzled into his neck, his familiar smell lingering in her nose. A smell she had missed so much. She wrapped her arms around his waist, clinging to him with everything she had. She wasn't going to lose him again, not after all of this.
"I love you Jessamine" Just those four whispered words were enough to make her stomach flip a few times and she swore she could feel her heart beating rapidly after all these years of silence. Her arms tightened around him and she lifted her lips to his ear, smiling. "I love you, Thomas," she whispered back. Her mind was flying, recounting all of the memories she had of him. When they first bumped into each other, and then every secret meeting since. Her favorite had been the night they snuck out of town and started a bonfire, whispering promises of love and a future while making love well into the morning. That was the night they agreed to run away together.
And now they could do whatever they wanted to. Their families didn't matter, social status didn't matter. It hadn't back then, but now it was even more guaranteed for them. They were free to do whatever they wanted. Flashes of them living together, married, with a baby flashed through her mind and made her smile. Of course some of that was impossible for them now, but the idea was still there. But she couldn't kid herself, things wouldn't just fall right back to where they left off. There would be some work to do first. First being she had to swap out some of her clothing for normal attire, and she had to delete some numbers in her phone. But at the moment she really didn't care about any of that. She just wanted this moment to last forever.
He pulled away a bit, looking into her eyes and apologizing again, promising he would never leave her. And it made her smile. She brought her hand up to his face again and stroked his cheek softly. "Shhh, love. I know. Let's not worry about that anymore. We're here together and that's all that matters. That's all I ever wanted. I love you." Her voice broke at that last sentence, those three words sounding strange on her lips. She hadn't said that in a very long time, but she could say that to him all day long and never get tired of it. Hell, she would proclaim it to the world that she loved Thomas Stone with all of her heart. She moved her hand around to the back of his neck and pressed her lips to his, softy at first, and then with a passion that had been building after all these years. The feel of his lips against hers was so familiar it was almost as if it had been 3 days rather than 300 years since the last time they kissed. tags: thomas words: 688 notes: no problems honey, i haven't had internet for the past few days >.< muse: the news xD

Thomas felt like a little he did that day in the market when they had first met all those long years ago. He was so nervous that day but he was excited as well. It wasn’t every day a beautiful girl with a well-known and powerful family, talks to you and shows some interest in a poor commoner. Now he was wrapped up in her arms and his were around her tightly. He had told her that he loved her still after all those years apart. He felt her grip on his tighten when his words entered her listeners. All he wanted to do was kiss her and hold onto her forever and never let her go. She then reached up and whispered in his ear that he she loved him, she still loved him after all that had happened, all time she thought that he had left her for another woman and that he had died a happy man a long time ago. He was so grateful that she didn’t despise him for doing that. He had explained that he didn’t do what she thought he had done and he was convinced that she was going to call him a liar and punch him so more. He was like a kid in a candy store when she didn’t.
Things were different now, times had changed and there were no more families to look down upon their union, he were free to love and adore each other and to be with each other and publicly display that they were in love, without anyone seeing them and telling their parents. He was sad that his mother and father had died and he was still living but it was something he had gotten over a long time ago. Jessamine was all he thought about these days and by the looks of how things were going now, she was the only going to be on his mind for the rest of eternity. After a few moments of wrapped in each other’s embrace he pulled back and once again like a dick he apologised again. But was soon cut off by her telling him that not to worry and that everything was going to be okay now that they were together again. She then told him that she loved him again and it was like his heart wanted to bust out of his chest and flop around on the ground, it was beating that hard. He wanted to say that he loved her as well but he was scared he wouldn’t be able to talk properly.
She then reached up and placed her lips to his and fireworks went off all over his body. He didn’t know what was going on; he was a little stunned at first and stood there like a stupid boy. It didn’t take him long till he gathered himself and kissed her back, he parted her lips and slipped his tongue into her mouth and massaged it gently. He kissed her the way he always used to kiss her back in the day. Not once over the years had he kissed another woman, yeah sure other things were done but he never kissed them. He kissed only one person and one person only. Soon he broke the kiss and looked down to Jessamine. “Let’s get out of here, this alley is no place to show loving affection” he said giving her that trademark Thomas smirk. He took her hand and led her out of the alley and walked along the side walk slowly, there was no rush, he just wanted to be with her.

The one thing she loved about this century was even though they were fully clothed, it felt like they could be even closer. Back then, her dress had always been in the way. It had been such a hassle to get around that large hoop skirt. Now they could embrace and feel as close as if they were naked. Her mind flashed again to the first time they had made love and she could feel goosebumps creep up on her skin. She couldn't blush anymore, but she could still get goosebumps. It had been such a perfect night. She had been nervous as heck, but it was perfect nonetheless.
Her stomach was still doing flip-flops as she clung to him. It still didn't feel real. This was a dream. It had to be. There was no way the fates could have been so kind to her. Since Thomas had left her, she had done some things that did definitely not get her any brownie points to go anywhere good. And yet, here he was. as perfect as he had been 300 years ago. She clung to him tighter, wanting to be as close as she could to him.
When he kissed her back, she felt a little zolt in her gut and she pressed against him. He slid his tongue into her mouth and kissed her the way he used to. She had kissed plenty of guys since him, but no one could kiss her like this. She would never be able to find someone who could kiss like this anywhere else. Compared to him, she couldn't even remember any other of the guys she had been involved with. After a few minutes, he broke the kiss and looked down at her and she could only smile. "Let's get out of here, this alley is no place to show loving affection" he said and she couldn't agree more. She looked around her quickly, took in the dingy walls and abandoned dumpsters and cringed. What had she been thinking in coming here?
She slid her hand down his arm and took his hand, interlacing her fingers with his. "Where are you staying? You don't have a house yet, do you?" She asked, thinking of her mansion down on Evergreen Street. Last time she had seen him, Thomas hadn't had much. She had never been to his house, but he had told her a lot about it. And from what he said it wasn't nearly close to anything she had. She could only wonder if he had accumulated money over the years. It didn't matter. She had more than enough for the both of them. Money didn't matter much to her anymore. It was more a force of habit that she kept thinking about it.
She started walking out of the alleyway, pulling him along by the hand. She didn't even remember which way she had come from. Once on the street, she took a right, seeing lights off in the distance that could only be the city. As they walked, she turned to look at him and smiled a little. "I missed you," she said quietly. Those three words didn't exactly describe just how much she had missed him, but she couldn't exactly explain how she had felt anyway. It was like a whole had been punched through her gut and there was no replacing it. Now, however, it was like that hole had never existed. With a smile she brought his hand up and kissed his knuckles softly, just as he had done the first time they met all those years ago.

Thomas watched her as she examined thier surrounding and a smile sprung to his face when her hand became one with his. She then asked him where he was staying. He had been here a month now and he had found a place to stay, it wasn't something she would remember him as because of the dingy farm house he used to live in with his parents way back in the day but things were different now and being an immortal has giving him enough time to make a little money. Yeah so what not all of it was aquired the legal way but putting on a world wide search for someone one did have its price tag, he did what he had to do to make sure his search for Jessamine when unfaltered. "Yeah I got a place, its a small one bedroom apartment" he said smiling down at her. "It's nice i like it" he said and started to exit the alleyway. It was still night time and thomas felt like he was on top of the world, he felt as thought nothing could touch him, nothing could bring him down and take what he finally had back. He would kill anyone who tried to take her away from him. He smirked a little and his heart started to pound in his chest again as she spoke those three little words that he hoped she would say. She had missed him as he had missed her too.
She then pulled his hand up and kissed it gently just like the time when he first met her that sunny day in the market place. He would never forget that day he brought her a pink tulip and told her all about his mother's extraordinary flowers. he was nervous that day just like now he wa nervous again. He always felt like he wasn't good enough for her because of her social status but even though that didn't mean anything today he still felt like she could do better. But She clearly felt differently as she was interested in him then and still she is interested in him after all these years. He must be doing something right. "I missed you more" he said looking out into the darkness a small smile on his face. He still couldn't believe that he had found her, and she didn't want to kill him with her bare hands. Where were they going to go? His place or hers. He thought about it for a moment and asked, "Would you like to see my place?". It was a question he had wanted to ask her back in 1669, but he didn't as he was a little ashamed of his place and he didn't want her to think of him any differently if she had of seen his home. Now when he thought about it, it was so silly. She wouldn't have shown any different emotions towards him just because of his dwellings. Besides his mother would have been so excited to meet her.
