It was late by the time Vivienne reached home, the Petrus mansion seeming to loom ominously over her and Vivi peeked over the wall to check whether her family had raised the alarms. Upon seeing that the house was quiet, her eyebrows rose in puzzlement. Normally when she returned late, her parents would already have started searching for her and ringing her up, demanding that she return home immediately. She suspected that it must be Pilar's doing- he did have a way with his words and must have somehow managed to convince Mama and Papa Petrus that she was alright- she was already an adult after all and as an adult she knew how to take care of herself and also had the rights to stay out late. At least that's what she thought he had said to them.
Vivi glanced behind her to look at Owen and gave him a small, tiny smile. He had offered to walk her home and throughout the whole trip, she had kept her mouth shut, not wanting to say anything. No, scratch that, she couldn't say anything at all. What, ask him questions like "so you're a dog", "so, werewolves are real?", "when were you going to tell me that you weren't human?" No, scratch that too, maybe what happened in the woods was a mere coincidence. Maybe Owen had scooted off somewhere, and then this random huge black wolf saved her from the cat and then it so happened that her favorite brother had been passing by the area. Now come to think of it, why the hell was Pilar in the forest in the first place? Yet, despite all that had happened, she felt strangely content. It was as though weird things happened all the time, and Owen turning into a wolf was no big deal.
Bull. Shit. She had a lot of questions to ask him.
"I think they're asleep." she said softly, nodding towards the house. "Probably wondering where I am. And I forgot to fed Maxie guinea piggy." Her voice dripped with worry at the last sentence. One was because she really did forget to feed the little critter and another one was because she immediately realized that she made a mistake in her English. Choosing to ignore it this time, she softly continued "I think we can sneaking...non, sneak in." She tapped the gray stone wall that surrounded the mansion with a finger. "Careful of the dogs." She felt as though she didn't need to say that- Owen could probably take on a bear and walk away alive. A few Rottweilers probably wouldn't be able to lay a paw on him. To be honest, Vivienne was extremely worried about their current situation. She wasn't worried about getting caught by her parents for being with a boy outside their house, but her and the boy's friendship. She was nervous that what she had seen tonight would disrupt the bond that the two of them seemed to have forged at the waterfall today evening. The blonde was afraid that he'll leave her, as he was the only friend that she seemed to have made since she moved here. Vivi did not want him to go, but who was she to stop him if he made the decision to do so? She most certainly wouldn't be unable to stop him anyway, seeing as to what he can do.She was sure that if she ever tried laying a finger on him, she would be half-dead within minutes. "Owen." she said, her tone quiet now. "Are you alright?" notes: THIS IS LONG OVERDUE. I IS SORRY. D8 [/blockquote]

*I'll watch the night turn light-blue But it's not the same without you~ Pour me a heavy dose of A T M O S P H E R E* He had been moderately quiet on the walk home with Vivi, mainly because his mind was running over itself multiple times and so many times it was becoming painful. Blue eyes looked towards the lighter blonde hair of the human in front of him, his senses on full alert as he had told her he'd walk her home. He'd be more than happy to. He figured he owed it to her plus he wasn't about to let her walk home alone, not after what had happened. Plus, he found out he was repeating himself, he didn't want to be too far from the gorgeous blonde either. As they approached what he figured was her house as he could smell her familiar scent around it as well as what he guessed was her family's scent, he watched her peek over the wall, and he casually poked his head over it as well, not needing to stretch as much as Vivi did, but nonetheless he noticed off to the side what looked like to be doghouses and the werewolf snorted. Let a dog come after him, most of the time once they got close enough to him they acted like little puppies. Personally Owen found it useful, that meant he never had to worry about having one of those junk yard chases with dogs like in the movies. Either way, he then perked when Vivi mentioned on about how she figured they were asleep. The wolf lifted his eyes lazily, running a hand over his black hair for a brief moment before he then shrugged and mused, grinning at her little fumble in English. Cute. "Okay, I think so too." he agreed quietly, his heart beating steadily in his chest for now, though it thudded heavily against his rib cage, threatening to break out it felt like.
Watching Vivi intently, Owen then frowned when he heard a dog or dogs stirring just beyond the gate to her mansion. Pausing, he frowned slightly, then growled quietly. Just a little warning to the Rotteweilers or what-ever the hell they were. Suddenly hearing Vivi speak once more, Owen tuned in to every word she had to say - no matter what. "I...will be." he grinned weakly back towards the beautiful blonde in front of him as she warned him to be careful of the dogs. Well, all he had to say was that he'd much rather them go after him than her, after all ons scratch wouldn't take too long for him to heal it up. Wrinkling his nose slightly, the wolf then drew Vivi to his side silently, without touching her, though he drew himself closer to her, mainly as if to protect her from something. Allowing a breeze to rustle over his back and not hit Vivi to keep her from getting chilled, blue eyes keenly watched her, as if seeing her for the first time. Running a hand through his hair anxiously, she looked towards him and then he heard her say his name. God he liked it when she said his name, he didn't expect any pain out of it just - relaxation, serenity and joy. Passion. Owen paused at her inquiry. Was he? Surely he really wasn't, but he didn't want to bother her with his worries, after all he was such a worry-wart.
Grinning weakly, shyly for a few brief moments, the black-haired male then responded after a few moments, "I...I guess." More or less he was concerned about her, and silently redirected the question back at her before he added, "W-what about you?" Simply meaning he figured she probably had questions, though as she seemed to open the gate, Owen didn't take a step to follow her. He then realized why she had warned him, was that an invitation to go inside? She invited him in? For some reason all his instincts were telling him not to follow her, it could be a trap. After all, he was walking into a house of hunters, people who made a living and breathed to kill supernaturals such as himself. Grimacing slightly, Owen looked to Vivi, knowing he wouldn't be able to say no to her no matter what. He'd do anything for her, absolutely anything. Plus her brother had told him, she wasn't a hunter, as obvious as it had been when Vivi hadn't done anything when that lion came, fortunately she hadn't, and therefore didn't get hurt and Owen didn't need to kill the bloody animal. "I...I'm just worried...was...worried....about you."

"Okie then."
Vivienne chirped those two words towards him before turning back towards the gates again, distracted by the sudden sounds of dogs barking. Hearing from his own mouth that he was alright was already enough for the blonde. As usual, she was slow on the uptake and never questioned him properly, having being brought up not to recognize the slightest bit of threat or feel any doubt. Should it be any other person, they were sure to immediately inquire again on whether Owen was really alright or not, but Vivienne had been brought up to never question anyone, let alone her family in an effort to protect her. Thoughts of Owen actually not being a proper human was a little too much to bear for Vivienne at the moment, but she definitely had questions for him later. Which was why it was no surprise that she was quite thankful for something to distract her; which was the barking of her family's guard dogs. Even A.D.D had its uses sometimes.
The blonde rummaged through the pocket in her dress and finally pulled out a tiny, black remote. She was about to press the buttons when a sudden loud bark opposite her startled her and nearly causing her to drop the device. There they were, three huge black rottweilers barking their heads off while standing on their hind legs, front paws on the railing of the gates. "Shush!" she hissed loudly, pressing a finger to her lips in an attempt to quiet the dogs down. When the attempt failed, she was about to pull off the beret on her head and throw it over the gate to distract them, but as though luck was on her side, the neighbor's Persian cat suddenly leaped over the wall on the other side, causing the dogs to give chase to the cat instead, immediately losing interest of the two. Vivi looked over her shoulder to shoot Owen a sheepish grin before pressing the button and allowing the gate to open with a loud creak. "You dunt need to worry about me you know." she smiled. "The dogs won't bite me." Of course the stupid dogs won't bite her, but Owen just seemed to insecure, it seemed right to remind him. Gesturing for him to go inside and when he didn't seem to move, she tilted her head to one side inquiringly and took his wrist in her hand, pulling him inside with her into the mansion's compound and soon they were in the courtyard where a large elegant marble fountain of numerous mystical creatures perched, each spouting water out of its mouth. "Look here, Owen." she said softly, using her other hand to point at the creatures each in turn. "This is the vampir. The blonde pointed at the statue of a woman with what looked like fangs coming out of her mouth with the water gushing out in the middle of them. "Mermaid, faerie, werewolf." The last one she pointed to showed a wolf standing on its two hind legs. "It looks just like you in a way." She lightly poked the nose of the dog with a slender finger before leading Owen away from the fountain and towards the mansion. Vivi stood in front of the double doors before pulling out a chain around her neck. Hung on the chain was a single golden key, which she quickly unhooked and unlocked the door. Pushing Owen in after her, she quickly closed the door and disabled the alarm with a few pushes of the button on the wall. She let go of Owen then and stumbled around the dark, searching for the switch that would light up the area. With each bump she took from the objects lying around the room, she let out a soft squeak. "Where's the stupid on button..." she muttered, disgruntled. notes: DERP. -firetruck'd- [/blockquote]

*I'll watch the night turn light-blue But it's not the same without you~ Pour me a heavy dose of A T M O S P H E R E* The wolf carefully watched Vivi as she fished around for something in her clothes, and he growled towards the three Rotteweilers that were barking their heads off. It probably didn't help he never had been that good with dogs, and they didn't know him. That was a lie, he was very good with dogs, but not if they didn't know him, therefore he was expecting them to bark towards him, another strong dog on their turf, hell no he knew they were thinking. Baring his teeth at them, the wolf snarled at their direction a few moments before they took off to chase a cat. Good. Thank God he didn't get those instincts, only things like rabbits and such, things that were actually fun to chase, since they just didn't climb up in a tree and chatter down at him like cats or squirrels. Wrinkling his nose, the wolf then heard Vivienne speak as she then hit a little black remote. What kind of security systems did they have? Or more appropriate, how much? Hell all he had was a lock and such, then himself. He certainly didn't worry about anyone breaking into his apartment - well, he did somewhat, but he knew the moment his door opened he would be out of bed and attacking them. Which was why he and his brother Aidan always tended to joke with each other about trying to get into each other's place, to try and get to them before they woke up with their werewolf senses. "I wasn't worry about you...I was...more worried about them." he commented, meaning that if they did to something to her, he wouldn't hesitate to lunge and either maim the dogs or kill them. Which ever one came first to the dogs. Bright eyes landed on a fountain when Vivi gripped his hand and dragged her behind him. He let her, but by now he knew she was bringing him inside. For what-ever reason, not that Owen minded it, but he wasn't that big of a fan of entering a house he knew was filled with Hunters. Ones that wouldn't hesitate to lay a round of silver bullets in him when they first set sights on him. Tense, Owen then noticed a fountain with mythical creatures as decoration.
Interesting enough, weren't they hunters? Frowning slightly, he stood eagerly by Vivi's side, staying near her, mainly because he didn't like to be too far from her as she pointed them out, then gestured to the wolf that was on his two back legs. Looked like him in a way? Grinning uneasily, Owen nodded, "Yeah...sort of." he grinned lightly, unable to help it. He was glad he didn't look like a furry human with a massive jaw, but an actual wolf. It made things easier. As Owen went with Vivi, her unlocking the doors and such, he grinned into the darkness which he could see in as Vivi went to stumble around. Quickly catching her, an arm coiling around her waist, the wolf then took her hand gently, and placed it where he felt the switch was. "There...you go." he spoke shyly, shortly releasing her after a moment, though he didn't move from where he was - right next to her, so close. Owen liked being close to Vivi, made him feel...like a king in a sense. He wanted to say he was with the most beautiful girl in the world to everyone and anyone. He was, that was the best part. Blinking mildly around her house, well, more like a mansion, his mathematics-consumed mind began to measure things and look around, before looking to Vivi, "You have a beautiful home." Aha, good. Thinking of math helped. Good, no - excellent. His fingers coiled lightly around Vivi's and he mused, "Is...anyone home?" The main reason - as his eyes scanned around, listening to the noises of the house, his voice low, he didn't want to bother any Hunters if he could help it.

Dammit, this was not working at all.
Vivienne muttered to herself in Ukrainian, cursing inwardly as she stumbled around the damn place. She hated having to wait to adjust her eyes to the dark, which took nearly more than ten minutes and the blonde's condition absolutely refused to sit still for more than three seconds. She always had to be on the go, and to actually wait for her eyes to adjust and be a little bit sensible was completely out of the question. A soft squawk similar to a duck's escaped from her when her hip crashed into something, making a cluttering sound and she almost yelled when she almost knocked over a vase. It was also another part of her nature: that is being clumsy. She couldn't walk out the door without banging her forehead into it, nor could she walk out onto the streets without tripping over a rock. No wonder she had so many bruises on her arms and knees.
She squawked again when a protective arm coiled around her, completely unexpected for this kind of thing. A familiar hand touched hers and led her towards the switch, which she flicked on immediately. The house instantly bathed with light, and Vivi looked at the amount of objects she managed to nearly knock over. They were all out of place. Her parents would have a few words to say about that! "Thank you." she chirped, tightening her fingers around his. Casting Owen a light smile, she answered his question. "Of course they are! They came home late last night, and they've been the sleeping the day away. Ma and Pa went clubbing, and they party boomed so hard that they came home with so many wounds!" Of course what her parents did was completely not what she just said, but Vivi didn't know that. "And Aneta and Dimitry went jungle trekking. And ...oh let's go upstairs. It's warm here." Breezily, she switched off the lights with a click and scooted off towards the elegant staircase, her mind resuming it's initial clutter. Upstairs. she tiptoed across the hall, pass the rooms of her sleeping family. What she was oblivious to was that no matter how much noise she made, they weren't going to wake up unless they were under attack.
They finally came to a pair of white double doors which Vivi, beaming, pushed open. She flicked on the switch on the wall with a finger and flowery wallpaper as well as a floor filled with adorable stuff animals greeted her. The room was cluttered with dolls on the floor and pictures that the girl had sketched, of castles in the sky and nature itself. If one looked closely, through the sea of dolls, they could see a fluffy cashmere rug set in the middle of the floor. The four poster bed at the far end of the room was filled with books, which she had forgotten to put back when she went out in the evening. "Sorry for the...mess." she said sheepishly, gesturing towards the room. "I keep forgetting to clean it up..." Vivi chuckled nervously, as though she had been caught doing something wrong. She looked at Owen sheepishly before letting go of his hand and wandering into the messy room.
Almost immediately, she tripped over a blue elephant doll and was soon sprawling halfway across the room, creating her own path between the drawings and the animals. She picked herself up immediately, apparently used to herself falling over before picking up the books she had left on the bed and placing them on the floor next to her. Feeling a fresh scrape on her knee, Vivi ignored the sting and continued picking up the reading material. Heck, she wondered at herself how she managed to be so oblivious to the mess. She kept getting distracted though, due to the mess and would occasionally look at a random doll breezily before going back to work. When she was done clearing the bed, she waved at Owen cheerily across the room. "Don't trip over!"

*I'll watch the night turn light-blue But it's not the same without you~ Pour me a heavy dose of A T M O S P H E R E* Smiling weakly at Vivi saying thank you, the wolf mused quietly, "No problem." What kind of person would he be if he just continued to let Vivienne stumble around in her house? Certainly not that good of a boyfriend friend. Or what-ever Vivi classified him as. Nerves got the better of him and he fell silent. He liked listening to the cute blonde talk. It was adorable. Hell, everything she did or said was downright adorable. Grinning shyly, blue eyes landed on the various things in the room he was currently located in. It was interesting, he remembered his parents being the simplistic modern type of people. They had modern kitchen sets and such, but there wasn't much in there, just what they, he and Aidan needed to get by with. Owen grinned weakly at the fond memories as he then heard her suggest they move upstairs. Wait, to - her room? Okay, Owen had never had much luck with the girls, mainly because most of the type they for some reason got that "I can be your gay best friend" vibe from him, which Cade had told him was just because he was too quiet. Or something like that. Now here he was, with the most wonderful young woman, and she was taking him upstairs. To make matters worse, this was a house that was owned by hunters, people that lived and breathed to kill supernaturals like him. He wanted to follow, god did he want to, but his instinct kept telling him to run, he could see Vivi away from her house. But he was already inside now, he was too late to back out of it now.
It wasn't that he didn't want to spend time with Vivi, he was afraid of what would happen if her parents - god forbid - found out about this. Realizing his fingers were still intertwined with Vivi's, Owen then followed. He was too loyal to just leave now. Maybe it was his wolf side taking over. Or just because he was like that. Most likely the latter, he'd been told that multiple times, including even by his brother, Aidan. Blue eyes followed Vivi's as she grinned and he couldn't help but smile either, especially when she approached doors. Owen could just sense them. The hunters, on the other sides of these doors. Right nearby. He tended to distance himself, yet here he was, willingly entering a house filled with them. Except Vivienne. That's what Pilar had told him. "Lay a paw on her..." his threat still echoed in his head. It wasn't that Pilar scared Owen, he could take the hunter easily, it was if there was more than one of them he was scared of. Smothering this, his eyes widened slightly when they entered her room, seeing a - fun wallpaper, as well as...were those stuffed animals? He couldn't help but smile. It was so innocent, it was adorable.
Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he curiously watched Vivi, though jumped slightly when she fell, and he was about to be by her side, though she had gotten right back up in an instant. Obviously she must do that a lot. Pausing, he noticed the slight scratch on her knee, and he then poked around, looking for the bathroom, she must had Neosporin or something. Grabbing the small tube, his long legs came in handy to cross the room to get to Vivi, grinning sheepishly as he did so. "I didn't fall. You okay?" he offered her the anti-bacterial stuff, before shrugging, "My place can get...worse, especially when I'm working on a project." Aha, he seemed to be getting better. Wonderful. Picking up some of the books off her bed, looking at their titles, he nodded gently, then looked to Vivi, "So, did you get to pick this room?" he chuckled gently, before sitting down on a free spot on her bed, hoping she didn't mind. Enjoying this time, Owen sighed softly, running a hand down his dark hair before looking to the adorable blonde next to him, "Will...we need to worry about your parents then?" he inquired, saying we instead of "I" knowing that they'd both get punished if they were caught by her parents. Shifting gently, Owen looked to Vivi quietly, as if silently telling her something, "You have questions...don't you?"

Vivienne continued to beam cheerily, watching Owen as he disappeared into the bathroom. He needed a potty break, she was sure, who never needed a potty break? Grinning, the blonde cast another glance around the room, suddenly noticing how really really messy it was. Raising both eyebrows, she wondered how was she going to survive cleaning everything up. Oh, blame her stupid attention disorder, she never had time to notice anything! Stifling a whine, Vivienne bit her lip and picked up a brown bear from the floor and clutched it to her, feeling safe having its softness pressed into her. She adored the feel of anything soft and cuddly, it also made her feel like a child again. The bear was a present from Pilar on her thirteenth birthday; her dear brother always knowing what she truly wanted.
Oh, Owen was back! She watched as the black haired male crossed the room towards her, those long legs of his easily reaching her. He had been too quick going to the toilet; what on earth had he been doing there in the first place? Her head tilted to one side as he offered her her tube of Neosporin and her grin couldn't help but widen. She hardly used the medicine anymore, but took it from him nonetheless and rubbed its contents onto her wound, so as not to worry him. "Oh dun worry, it happens all the time." she said cheerily, chucking the tube onto her bedside table. "You know what~" Vivienne added, tweaking the ears of the bear with long, piano fingers. "Now that you are here in my place, maybe I should come over to yours!" It sounded like a wonderful idea. She felt delighted, maybe his place was better than hers!
She watched as the male found a free spot on her bed to sit on and the blonde couldn't help but feel her cheeks turn a little pink. The duvet on her bed consisted of adorable animal patterns, and the curtains, my goodness, had an assorted array of sunflowers sewn within them. With Owen here, she suddenly felt how immature she actually was; which college girl still slept with teddy bears and animal designs? Turning away, her face burning, she stared out the window, her face a mask of embarrassment. She really should start changing everything, starting with the room, make it into something much more...mature looking yes? "Of course I could pick this room! I lurve it." The way she said it...it was as though the damn window was talking to her! "Ma and Pa sleep like the dead." she continued, in answer to his question and walked away from the window to the small cage perched on the shelf next to the toilet. There the sable guinea pig was; curled up, asleep. Picking up the small, raw carrot next to the cage, she wondered how Maxie must have felt smelling food out of his reach. Popping the orange vegetable into the cage, she went back to her bed, extremely careful not to trip over anything.
It took Vivienne a long time to reply Owen as she took a seat next to him on her bed, her mind resuming its usual clutter and she had to stop herself from talking about guinea pigs by biting her tongue and focusing on the current topic. Clutching the furry bear to her chest, she slowly nodded and softly said "Ja." She didn't want to know the truth or whatever; she wanted to be where she was now, her current state of harmony. However, Vivi knew that she couldn't run away forever, the truth had to come out eventually anyway...
"That was really you just now?" she blurted out. "T...that..." Dammit, she couldn't say it. "...T...T-The...dog?"

*I'll watch the night turn light-blue But it's not the same without you~ Pour me a heavy dose of A T M O S P H E R E* Hearing Vivi's explanation on her getting injured all the time, Owen realized he knew he could protect Vivi from a lot of things, though he wasn't so sure how he could protect her from herself. Maybe with practice he could figure something out. As she plucked the tube of the medicine from his fingers, blue eyes watched keenly and then he couldn't help but grin when she spoke about it happening all the time. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind for future reference." he chuckled softly, careful not to raise his voice too much, just in case he may happen to wake up another Hunter. His voice was low, yes, but he certainly didn't want like an odd noise from Vivi's room to wake them up, that being him talking loud at all. Yeah, because he was just a loud person to begin with, he told himself, smothering his fear. Muscles grew tense for a moment, as if he was afraid the hitting of the tube would wake someone else up. Thankful it didn't, an eyebrow arched slightly at her suggestion. To his place? Oh god, he'd need to clean up a little bit first he'd think, especially...it was a bachelor pad. Not like Owen did anything, and even if he dared to call it that, he knew like Cade would give him crap for calling it that. It was just his apartment, that was it. Grinning sheepishly, Owen nodded, "Of course. I do apologize now for the....research going on there." A sheepish smile pulled on his lips. He was proud of what he was doing though, messing with physics and astro-psychics, despite when he explained things to his parents, they were different majors than him and his brother, therefore, he usually left the physics speak to only himself, his professor and his older brother.
"I think you'd like my older brother." he commented, eyes looking to Vivi's own light blue ones, "He's....more...outgoing than I." Owen shrugged, running a hand through the thick, dark hair he'd inherited from his mother's side of the family. Suddenly she turned her head away, and worry settled over him. Had he done something? He couldn't have, then what was going through Vivi's mind? Immortals were lucky sometimes, they could understand someone's worry or thoughts without having to voice their own worry over someone else's worry. He only just got the senses, speed and strength, and the rage once a month. Wrinkling his nose, Owen opened his mouth to reassure Vivi and ask if everything was okay when she then spoke. Following her movements, he watched her head towards a cage, which he suddenly realized there was a guinea pig in there. Cute little animals, just not for him. It suited Vivi though, sweet, so sweet and innocent, adorable. Quite adorable, Owen thought quietly, fondly watching Vivi when she fed the carrot to the beige animal. Yes, they were cute animals, though they got quite skittish around him, as one could only imagine why. Therefore, usually dogs and bigger animals were his thing, unless he managed to raise the guinea pig or something from a baby. "Maxie's cute." he offered up, eying the animal, "How long have...you had her?"
Running his hands down his thighs nervously, as if wiping them off, Owen watched Vivi as she then returned to the bed, the bear still clutched in her hands. Wide-eyed at her little, "ja" Owen opened his mouth to say something, though the blonde began to speak then. He quickly silenced himself, shutting his mouth and listening to what she had to say. He could feel his entire body go stiff when she asked the question he preferred not to answer. Granted he knew she'd ask it, he was just hoping it wouldn't be the very first one she asked. Pausing, he scratched the back of his neck nervously, looking away from her, ashamed, "It..." his voice failed. He had to tell her though, she had asked, and he never wanted to lie to her if he could help it. "I was...the wolf." he admitted then, preparing himself to get out of there if Vivi got someone to come in here. Holding up his hands, Owen spoke, resting his arms on his legs, then looked to Vivi quietly, "I...didn't get a choice in the matter...I was born as I am."

Oh my, Vivienne couldn't believe herself that she just asked that dreaded question. Once again, it was horribly difficult to believe; now how could Owen turn into a big bad wolf? Doubt washed through her like a tidal wave, threatening to overwhelm her and not believe what her eyes saw back in the forest. While her mind tried vainly to persuade her that what she saw was merely an apparition, an illusion, something not real, her heart told her otherwise. Owen was the wolf, he had saved her from that nasty lion and he was supernatural. He was part of the world, the world of legends and myths that her siblings and her mother and father had talked about. But...it was a myth. A fairytale, a story, that was what Pilar had said! A scary story, but a story nonetheless. It. Was. Not. Real. How many times had they repeated those four words to her?
Everything was confirmed when the dreaded words fell out of Owen's mouth himself and Vivi's head dropped to stare at the top of the bear's head, gray eyes down. He was the wolf. The big, black bearlike thing that had appeared and bit that lion. How many times was she going to repeat that just to convince herself? Vivi felt her normally bouncing mind go blank on the spot and her mouth felt dry when he added that he was born this way. So, he didn't get bitten in a tragedy or anything, he was born as he was. How...horrifying. To be born as a...as a...monster. She knew about the legends of werewolves perfectly well. How they lost control every time the moon turned full was horrifying. And what about those deaths the other day? Someone had got mauled by a wild animal, had that been Owen? All she had remembered was her father throwing down the newspaper and going out immediately. He had carried a nasty looking gun too, but Pilar had reassured her that their father was going for target shooting. The bottles were waiting for his gun it seemed.
Perhaps it was safe to say that Pilar had been lying.
Silence stretched out from her, her not saying anything but instead tweaking the ears of the fluffy brown thing in her hands. What was she supposed to say? Oh you were a wolf, my heart was right after all! It was in this rare moment that Vivi actually thought rationally, most of the time her thoughts were in a huge clutter and she could hardly sit still. But tonight was different; her mind was still. She had to think! She knew that if she didn't speak soon, Owen might just go away and...leave her. No, Vivi didn't want that. Okay, he was a wolf, so what? Her head lifted up, curls of blonde hair falling from her face and stormy gray eyes locked with Owen's bright blue ones. He was no monster, at least not to Vivi. He was Owen, just the way she saw him this evening. There was no sign of a hungry beast in there, all Vivi saw was a quiet being whom she had taken quite a fondness to. There was still human in this wolf, and happy with this, Vivi's mind decided to fly into overdrive again.
"So you're a dog." she chirped, all signs of seriousness vanishing. Putting the teddy bear to one side, she shifted closer to the male next to her and raising a longer finger, poked him on the nose playfully. "You're no dog now, you're Owen! My friend Owen, yes? I don't care whether you're dog or monster, but you my friend. And..." She paused for a while to smile at him. "You're still human."
notes: sorry for the lateness. :3

*I'll watch the night turn light-blue But it's not the same without you~ Pour me a heavy dose of A T M O S P H E R E* It stung to think that he had to admit it - once more but not only to himself, but to Vivienne. To tell her that he had been a monster all his life. That this was what he was meant to be the moment he had been born. He could see the panic, the thoughts running through her mind. It was all right, Owen understood, he had seen it before too. When he told one of their cousins, after she had had a thought about it and then put the pieces together. Somehow their cousin hadn't gotten the gene, especially since it was in their father's bloodline, their mother was only half werewolf, but still, that just made him and his brother full-blooded werewolves. Wrinkling his nose slightly, Owen's nose told him to make sure to keep an extra sense out of the room, away from Vivi and focus on her sleeping family of Hunters. Hunters that would be more than happy to lay a few bullets into him, only to realize the regular bullets wouldn't hurt him and start with the silvers. Shivering at that thought, Owen's attention fell back to Vivi, curious about what was going through her head right now. What was she thinking? Panic streaked through him. He was worried, worried about what was going on in her pretty blonde head. What was she thinking dammit? Was he a monster? Hell no, he controlled himself. The instincts sucked half the time, but after living with them for most of his years on this earth, he had learned to control them. The turned ones though, were the unlucky ones, if they didn't have anyone there to help them, then they had to deal with the instincts themselves, figure out what exactly to do the first time they shifted if it happened to be on a full moon. That was Owen's goal, to first never hurt someone in either form and secondly, to never turn anyone. He refused to give someone else the same curse he suffered from. The other part was he could probably rip a door off its hinges without a second thought, made him wonder what could happen with bones.
Pushing that thought aside, Owen refocused all his attention on the curled-blonde haired girl next to him, noticing she had suddenly closed the already minute space between them. Carefully, as if he was messing with a bomb, or something fragile, he never wanted to hurt Vivi, Owen inquired, brushing, toying with a lock of her curled hair, "What...are you thinking?" he inquired. Lucky Immortals. It would be nice to be able to know what she was thinking, therefore he had to divert to the old way of just plain asking. Maybe she heard about the random killings once in awhile, most of the time they just happened to be regular crimes, other times, once in awhile on a full moon, it was a hunter or a hiker mauled by a large animal. Owen didn't do that, he knew it tended to be the turned wolves, the ones that just went after anything where most of the time the born ones like him, his father and brother, went after animals, like deer, rabbits, even bears sometimes. Owen knew he preferred to stay away from bears, mountain lions, the sorts, for example the one he had to fight earlier for Vivi, and he'd do it again in an instant to protect her. Suddenly, the young woman moved, startling him slightly as she seemed to have...figured out what to say, or whatever caused her to suddenly react. Wide-eyed slightly in surprise, he grimaced slightly when she first spoke, then frowned, then surprise pulled itself over his features.
She moved swiftly closer, calling him a dog. The wolf tensed slightly. Technically he wasn't a dog, but he'd go with it, she was technically right. His body tensed the moment she moved closer, her body close to his. Owen's eyes widened slightly, though he didn't say anything as she spoke, then poked his nose. His sensitive spot, the wolf then wrinkled his nose slightly, it had almost caused him to sneeze. Still human? He figured she meant now. Hesitating, Owen opened his mouth, though remained poised, his muscles tensed, though soon immediately relaxed before he then mused, "I...still am." he mused, unsure of how to respond to that. Glancing around swiftly, nervously, he then looked to Vivi gently, never wanting to leave her side, he was perfectly content with her where-ever, and having noticed she had placed the bear aside, Owen's hand suddenly found her fingers, and toyed with the finger and the hand gently that had poked his nose. Looking down to his fingers toying with hers gently, he mused, "I will never hurt you, Vivi, I want you to know that. It's just..." he sighed, "I suppose I am human...with a little extra...kick." he mused, grinning weakly, before frowning slightly as he heard her dogs bark slightly outside, before realizing they were just messing with each other. Wonderful. Ignoring them as they soon quieted, Owen mused, "I...I will stay with you Vivi, till you ask me to leave."

Content and happy that they finally got it over with, Vivienne allowed her head to loll onto Owen's shoulder, her eyes slowly closing. A smile curled her lips on her porcelain face as she made herself comfortable on his shoulder. He made her feel safe just by being here and Vivi was quite happy with anything to be honest. It was easy to make her happy, even the smallest, insignificant gift could make her smile. Being around with family and friends was also enough for Vivienne. Owen was like dear Pilar in a way, just minus the bad tendencies of being a dick and getting drunk just to let go. She wasn't sure whether the wolf drank, as Pilar drank like a fish whenever he was pressure, but she didn't mind as long as he was here with here. He could be a serial killer, but Vivienne would die smiling because he was with her in the end. It wasn't always good to be happy over the simplest things in life, but that was Vivi for you. She was like a kitten in a way, and if the girl could purr, she would.
"If you hurt me, I'll send Maxie on you." Vivi giggled a little, her eyes still closed. "It's okay whether you have this...kick or not but as long as you're my Owen, you're fine. She rubbed her head against his shoulder, something a cat would do when they were being affectionate. "I don't want you to leave just yet~" Gray eyes watched as the boy's fingers played with hers, and her own fingers curled around his, stopping them and locking them together. Her blonde head raised up then and she leaned forward to touch her lips gently to Owen's cheek affectionately. It was quite common practice for Europeans like her to kiss others in greeting, but Vivi felt as though if she wanted to give Owen something to remember her by when he left for the night. Hey, at least he would remember her for something if they never saw each other again. Immediately flushing a bright pink when she was done, Vivi's eyes dropped to the littered floor of books and toys and with her free hand, twirled a lock of her curly hair. She was quite tongue-tied at that very moment, unable to think of anything to say.
A loud bang at her room door made the already nervous blonde jump and squeak in fright. There in the doorway stood a clearly drunk Pilar Petrus, her dearest brother. Before she could wave merrily and ask him to join them on her bed, she immediately noticed the metal object in her brother's hand that was pointing at Owen. There was also a bottle of vodka clutched in Pilar's other hand. "Pilar Vladimir Petrus!" she squawked, getting up and noticing his red face. Had he been drinking again? "This is not the time for...shooting practice!" As if on impulse, Pilar's arm with the gun moved and he pulled the trigger, shooting the mirror over her dressing table, causing Vivi to jump and let out another squeak. She heard her brother mutter a foul curse in Ukrainian before aiming it at Owen again. "What the shell is HE doing here?" Pilar slurred angrily, glaring at the both of them. He was about to pull the trigger again when an angry, deep voice erupted from the hallway. The house was soon alive, the hunters waking up to the sound of Pilar's bullet and soon enough, the loud pitter-patter of footsteps could be heard. "Shit." Pilar swore. "I think it's time to say goodnight." Vivi chirped breezily, hurrying over and shoving her bedroom window open. "Everyone's awake!" Taking Owen's arm, she half-dragged him towards the window and after placing another kiss on his cheek, ignoring Pilar's agitated look at the both of them, waved Owen goodbye. "Sleep tight!" The window slammed shut behind her just as her family of hunters burst in, demanding to know what the noise was. notes: exit. <3[/blockquote]
