And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are
Her alarm clock wasn't her cell phone this morning. It had been Troy. Stubborn dog. Her hand reached out and he then nuzzled his nose up to her hand, eagerly greeting her. Eyes opened lazily and she grinned, "Hey boy." Though she didn't flinch as some would when they witnessed their clothes on the floor from last night. To be honest she had gotten home and just jumped into bed, that was it, after her later shift yesterday, ugh. She ran a hand through her matted hair and patted Troy, before getting to the end of her bed, grasping the edge of her bed, and sat down, before patting her thigh, "Come here, Troy." She had to wake up still, and her fingers ran through her hair as she stumbled into her bathroom and brushed her fingers gently along the counter-top, before she then grabbed a quick shower and ran her hands over her clothing in her closet, before she then grabbed a dress. From what her "mom" Bonnie told her, it was a light blue. Tightening the belt that came with her, she patted Troy's soft head before she finished up what she was doing and then headed out of her room, her fingers brushing the walls and counting her steps to her kitchen. She fumbled around slightly, mainly because she wasn't sure what she wanted, though she did feed Troy, hitting the button that did so. Made things easier on her and him.
After eating, she finished getting ready before approaching the entrance of her two-story house, the stairs having a sensor at the top and therefore when she got to the edge, it beeped twice for her to let her know she'd gotten to the edge. Running a hand along Troy's fur coat, she grinned weakly, and spoke to him softly in Krio, the language she had grown up learning with English, and she had taught Troy commands in Krio, so no one else could really have him. Hooking up her dog with his special guide dog harness, this let him in anywhere and she meant that, anywhere. Most people were always so forgiving about it too, which was nice, or they'd ask to pet Troy, which she'd let them only if she and Troy happened to be relaxing or something. Locking her door, she was particularly glad today didn't seem too hot out, she had - perhaps whipped something up last night to make sure the heat wouldn't be bad today, as well as the humidity since she had wanted to take herself and Troy around Manuka and look around.
Entering what she had been told was the city highstreet or something. Wonderful. She felt Troy shift his pace slightly, slowing down, and she became aware of the others around her. She nudged her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose more, before turning slightly, causing Troy to whine, and she bumped into someone, placing her hand on their arm, she apologized, "I'm sorry." she smiled gently, and had Troy guide her away from that sudden mass. The one thing of her losing her sight, everything else got enhanced, including her smell, touch and hearing. She could hear so much more than most, and as she sighed, she turned her head, when she felt Troy move his head towards a store that had people screaming outside of it. What was going on? She knew a store was there, due to her counting her steps. Stopping in the middle of the highstreet, the brunette frowned, the noises overloading her for a moment, before she then felt someone nudge her along, telling her to get out of people's way, in a gentle tone to make sure she didn't get run over. "Sorry I just...wasn't thinking."
