There had been a laugh that came from her at his defensive mode of thought, just having been more playful than anything with the glare. Then, she caught his thoughts dripping through the inner workings of his mind like running water over your fingers. Everything was true that she had built so many connections with people, but she only kept onto the ones that would last her a lifetime no matter how they changed. Memory was not quite a difficult task for an immortal simply because what would you do with the rest of your time and how would you avoid falling into the same mistakes? She just laughed as he called this whole topic ‘impressive’. That was certainly one way to interpret everything, and far much more positive than she had taken it. Before he had fell into kissing her, his words made her smile even more, even when they had kissed.
Mystique just relaxed as she continued to float in the water next to him, hearing the crashing of the waterfall into the water around her as she held onto his hand as he slowly relaxed. His thoughts made her smirk and then blush slightly as he seemed to be musing over everything that had just happened. His comments made her giggle softly, liking the feeling as he ran fingers through her hair. She just looked up at him, grinning back at him and just straightening up so she could look at him and she just pressed a soft kiss to his lips. “Well, you are quite good for someone who has not done that in a while,” she said, her face hovering about an inch from his.
She just gazed at him, running her fingers slowly through his wet and mangled hair. “Want to come back to my place? I need to walk back home and I’d like the company over if it is not inconvenient,” she said, looking up into his eyes, waiting a moment for his answer, slightly unnerved that he would say no, but she just slipped away from him, pulling herself up onto the shore. She slipped slowly into her clothes, just feeling the moon attacking her pale skin with streams of light. There was no changing tonight and she knew she had made a friend, possibly more than that, but she was unsure.
Part of her was worried that he thought of it that way, but she just wanted to be friends for now, simply to keep things simplistic until she worked out her feelings for Christian. Her mind was already throwing everything into one tight complicated box that she was not sure would ever be opened again. There was a relaxation that came with her tonight as she just wanted to stop thinking about all the complicated, “Besides, I have something to show you there, something you will adore,” she said, a smile widening across her expression as she was now fully dressed once again.

SOMETHINGS TELLIN ME TO LEAVE but i won't Chandler thought that perhaps the entire time she had been reading his thougths. It was an odd thing to think about, but she had known what he wanted when he wanted it. Damn, it was strange. Still, he couldn't help but find some sort of satisfaction from the entire situations. What started out as an accidently walk in surely did turn to a beautiful thing with a beautiful woman. An elegant one that had been living for about two thousand years. He was certain that she was just living life at this point. Chandler felt as if he should have been living life the way he should be, but at the same time, most of his laziness prevented it from happening. He thought that living life to the fullest could be just relaxing on his couch and silently watching whatever strange telivision show was on at that time. Even as he thought about it, he realized how bad it sounded. How pathetic he was.
Now it was Chandler's turn to turn even more pink and he exclaimed, "Quit it. You're making me blush." Though he didn't see it in an anger. More in a very teasing sort of manner. It was in a teasing manner, but he was half serious, as he felt rather silly blushing. After the thigns they did, the talking part was the part that had him blushing? It was a little bit sad, and he wasn't sure if he liked it. Another thought came in his mind but he pushed it out as quickly as it appeared. The small glimpse of a thoguht had been thinking that perhaps with all the years, she had experience. Which made him a little insecure as he got nervous arounds chicks who knew what they were doing. At the same time, he knew he shouldn't be assuming such things. For all he knew, this could have been a rare case for her as it had been for him. Who knew what was wandering in her thoughts.
She broke away and offered to go to her place, which he thought was a little ironic. That sentence usually occured before... but of course, she didn't mean it that way by the tone of her voice. Not to mention she made it clear she wanted someone to go home with. Which was wise. A young woman walking alone at night, especially with supernaturals on the loose, was a very bad and danergous idea. Chandler would gladly help, "Of course. Have to make sure you get home safely, hm?" He asked with a small laughed toward the end. He watched her get out, now not feeling obligated to duck now as he had been all over it previously. He still did out of respect though, turning around searching to see that he had swam a little bit away from where his pile of clothes lay. He swam a little bit and found the pile and took his pants and put those on.
He carried his shirt though, wanting to put it on when he was dried off a little more, keeping the shirt dry as well. No one was going to yell at him for keeping his shirt off at night. Cops had better things to catch than that. He found Mysitque and let her lead the way, noting to take smaller steps as his tall figure gave him a very powerful stride against people. She said there was something interesting there and that just sparked his curiousity. Normally Chandler was cautious when it came to his curiousity, but he trusted her. "What is it?" He asked, not sure if he was going to get the answer from her or not. BECAUSE I'M DAMNED IF I DO YA damned if i don't

Mystique never failed to be interested by his thoughts, blushing softly at the fact that he continued to think of her in positive terms. Then, she laughed as he told her to stop making him blush, just smirking a bit, saying, “You know that only makes me want to tease you more, right?” She asked him teasingly as she caught his next set of his thoughts, knowing she would simply say something. She just hesitated as her lips parted to say something, “This was a rare case. I have only slept with one other person at this point and he at the time was someone who I felt was my soul mate until we recently separated.” She said, hoping he would not look into it anymore than that. She was not sure if this was going to continue being a rare thing for her. “I’m just trying to figure things out right now,” she said, suddenly looking much more fragile and exhausted.
Mystique just shook her head and laughed, teasing back, “Well thank you for your help, but I would be good on my own, just simply would like to have you along.” She truly usually was able to get home safely by herself, but that was because she knew when to disappear from a situation. She had never been attacked due to the fact that she kept an eye on the thoughts around her along with their auras. She knew it was possible though simply because she was not invincible. She smiled as he just turned away from her as she stepped out of the water, completely exposed to him but he just respected her. She returned his respect by not watching him get dressed as she just waited patiently for him. Still, he was not wearing a shirt as she just gazed at him, still admiring his body in a sense.
Mystique had begun walking when they both seemed to be all set and she just linked arms with him, playfully at first, but then just eased into it. Then when he asked, she just simply responded, “You’ll have to wait and see.” She only smirked, loving the curiosity that came with his question as they continued to walk forward for about ten minutes. They finally arrived at her house as she slipped her arms from him and ventured forward, unlocking the door. She walked through, allowing him in before closing the door behind them as she walked down the hall, flicking on lights before she turned the corner into a room that resembled nothing other than a library itself. Each wall was lined with books and in the center was a desk. “This is often where I study. When there is nothing to do and you have forever, well, this gives me some options and I figured you might like it,” she said, stepping aside so he could come in.

SOMETHINGS TELLIN ME TO LEAVE but i won't Yes, Chandler really should have known that. It was hard to say because he didn't have a lot of teasing friends. Especially the friends that could read what was going on in his head. If they did, they didn't say anything. Not to mention most of his friends were just plan friends. He actually didn't have a lot of close friends. Though he was glad to have so many in his phones and could call to hang out, he missed being close with someone. There really hadn't been anyone in his past life. Perhaps one or two people, but they all moved away to college. More than once, Chandler thought about going to college, but it sounded like a lot of hard work. He wasn't the biggest fan of hard work at the least bit. The only way he could get himself to do it is if he had the right motivation for it. If he didn't find the right purpose for it, there was no way he was going to move.
Chandler shook his head at her, "No, you're suppose to saw 'aww poor Chandler. Okay I'll stop just for you'" He quoted, batting his eyes a little bit when he was using Mystique's line she was suppose to tell him. Sadly enough, tha'ts almost what he had been expecting, but now it made sense why she would do it more. When she bit her lip in hesitation, he felt at once awful for thinking such a thing. He shouldn't have thought that at the least! It made her sound as if she would have done it with anyone, which Chandler had figured wasn't true. There was a little bit of relief seeing that she didn't have too much experience so his bar wasn't set with all this experience. He still felt guilt lingering over him as she spoke, staying silent and frowning at the thoguht of a recont breakup. Since Chandler hadn't dated before, it was hard for him to imagine the heartbreak of a loved one ending it once and for all. He had seen the emotional effect from his brother's past ex girlfriends. For her to say soulmate, he couldn't even imagine.
For some reason, a little bit of rage filled his stomach, like he should kick this guys ass or something. Normally, Chandler was the complete opposite from a violent person. He was the type to help a little ladybug if he saw it was upside down on the ground and flipped it back over. Now he was thinking about beating up a random stranger. It was a bizzare feeling and he wasn't sure if he liked it. "If you don't mind me asking..." He said in a very soft tone, not at all going to be offended if she chose not to say anything, "Why did was there seperation?" He felt a little more better that she could probably hear that she didn't have to tell him. People felt obligated to tell Chandler when he asked questions, even if he said they have to. They felt as if he was just saying that. Hopefully it would just be him showing concern.
Chandler would be worried if he was someone alone. It was bad enough for the fear of hunters. He could easily run away from the problem, but he wasn't sure what special abilities immortals had besides being able to focus into minds. He supposed if he heard random voices he could assume that someone was nearby and could hear the next moves. Still, five versus one would be quite a problem for her. Chandler would be able to run from all five of them without troubles. He walked with her all the way to her house and walked in to be dazzled at once. It was having a private library. He circled around it, feeling as if he was beauty off of beauty and the beast. Of course, as far as looks and personalities went, he woudl defintally be the beast and she would for sure be the beauty. Chandler thought he was a pretty handsome man, especially since she was in her house without his shirt, but there was no way she could be relitive to beast.
Giving her a permanate nickname, he gave her a sideways smile, "Well beauty, I'd say I do love it... all this to yourself?" Of course she would have had a long time to read them. He wished he had that much time. It took him forever to get through one book. Sometimes he'd read it for a day straight and then put it away for a month. There was times he wanted to read, but for some reason his mind would refuse to comprehend any of the information that was being read. It was quite annoying and he wished that his mind would just focus sometimes on the black words on a page. "It really is impressive Mystique. I'd kill to have this." An exageration, of course, but he really did admire it. Just to be in there and not be reading anything gave him a calm sensation, as if he were at a peaceful place away from everything in the world. If he ever had enough money, the first thing he wanted in a house was a large room for a library, even if he didn't read any of the books in his lifetime. Just the soul enviornment made him smile. As if in a dream. He wrote every once in a while too. Just to jot things down. This would be perfect to do it in. BECAUSE I'M DAMNED IF I DO YA damned if i don't

Mystique just laughed as he teasingly corrected her on what she should have said. She saw his aura change to something guilty and she felt bad for leading him to feel this way. “Don’t feel bad, love,” she said, her voice calm as she just continued to walk with him. Then as the conversation moved to focus on her relationship with Christian, he seemed to go into a sort of protective mode which made her feel comforted in a sense. He honestly did not have to care, but she could tell that it pricked him. She just slipped her hand into his after that moment, just keeping his fingers intertwined with hers snuggly. Part of her did not want him to worry over her and her past because there was no taking the actions and results back. She just brushed her thumb over his hand gently, smiling softly. His question which seemed gentle and ready for any reaction, knowing that he was just worried for her.
She sighed softly and just breathed in, “We had been fighting in a war between the supernaturals. We had two different alliances and were literally torn from each other otherwise, well, some of the members of my alliance would have killed me seeing as I would have been a traitor. We finally met each other once again about a month and a half ago. He was in love with someone else, but because of the fact that the girl he was with saw him having a better life with me, she let him go. He came to me and we dated for a month, but he loved the other woman too much so we both knew that he had found a different soul mate,” she said, knowing it had happened only a few days ago and she was still suffering from the ache that stayed in her chest. It was more like a gigantic hole that could never be filled.
Mystique smiled wide and laughed softly as he called her beauty and compared this moment to one in the beauty and the beast. “Yes, sometimes I wish I had more people to share it with, but I figured you might,” she said as he continued, “Well, you are welcome to come over and just sit in here with me as long as you want and read away. It’d be nice to share this with someone,” she said smiling as she just listened to his thoughts, her eyes brightening at the fact that he was a writer. “Well, you could write as well, as long as I could read it. I simply would adore reading anything you wrote,” she said, smiling wide as she continued to think about how quick they were moving, even if just in friendship itself.
Mystique just gestured to another comfy chair in the room and said, “Go ahead, find a book now and have a seat. Would you like some wine or a beer or anything?” She asked, knowing it was rather late, but she honestly was wide awake with everything that had happened tonight. She walked into the kitchen, just listening for him to say if he would like anything as she grabbed a wine glass that dangled above the counter, setting it down and unscrewing the cork from a bottle of wine. She poured herself a glass as she took a drink, the bittersweet liquid running over her tongue, only satisfying her palette.
She just stared into that room, wondering if she went in there if everything would change, but she knew that she would be in this current rut and that doing this stuff would not really help. When she slept with him, it had merely been just that, but she wanted it to be something more, or was she just searching for some type of replacement. This puzzled her as she just looked down into the rich red alcohol, her fingers brushing over the glass gently.

SOMETHINGS TELLIN ME TO LEAVE but i won't Chandler listened carefully to each word about her 'lover's story' almost confused at one part of it, but connected it and contiuned to stay listening. Sounded like a rough deal. Obviously from the impression, he got that he was an immortal as well. He thought that the thing that might have happened as that she didn't age and he did. That would seem the biggest problem for an immortal and regular human relationship. It sounded that he too could live a long time. He wasn't sure if that meant he was a fallen angel or demon, but Chandler couldn't picture Mystique going with someone like that. It just didn't make any sense to him. He tried to picture it in his head. A reunion with a loved one after so many years of different sides, finally being able to come together again. Only to find that he had moved on with someone else. Someone else he loved deeper than he ever loved one. The thought made his sides drop a little bit. Well how sad.
Once he was sure that she was done, he went over and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. He ducked his head into a little bit, not saying a word because he was sure that she might have heard I'm sorry a lot of times. Not to mention that Chandler believed when someone said sorry they should really mean in a way saying that it was the persons fault. People just tossed the word sorry right and left without even emotion or meaning into it anymore. It was as easy as throwing around the word love. He tried not to use it unless it was his fault. Though he did feel bad for her. After all that time. He couldn't imagine what that must have been like. With frustration, he figured that his stupid awful thoughts probably wern't helping the situation, so he pulled away and gave a wide reassuring smile at her, still not saying a word.
Share it with? Was she really going to allow him to use this beautiful place? He stared at her in amazment, thinking about the book he was on now. Count of Monte Cristo. It was great but it was so incredibly long. Chandler couldn't get through it for his life. The place where he got the most progress was the the coffee shop over there. "Wow Mystique... thank you. Thank you a lot." He mused, still looking around feeling defintally now like beauty and the beast. Except she was way more intelligant and much more of a reader than Chandler. The rest of the movie wasn't all that accurate. Just this scene. Of course, he figured he shouldn't be judging on a cartoon. Then she commented on his writing and he couldn't help but feel a little hot with embarassment. Almost everyone knew that he read just by looking but his writing was more of a private thing. She wanted to read them? That was the most shocking part of all. "No, no... no one reads those. They're really just to jot down things."
He did have a seat, seeing and pulling a book out he already read. Ah yes, white fang. Considered a classic. She was alive when it came out. He started opening and re-reading, just for the hell of it, looking up at her and shaking his at the offer of a drink. Chandler didn't drink often, and if he was going to read a little bit, he didnt' need burning alcohol. Though as elegant as wine sounded at the moment. She disappeared for a moment and he read the very first small passages of the book. "How many do you have?" He asked out loud, whispering and looking arond and trying to estimate, but found it impossible. BECAUSE I'M DAMNED IF I DO YA damned if i don't

Mystique heard him sympathizing with her in his thoughts, but then he surprised her with a hug, wrapping her arms snuggly around him, burying her face in his neck. His thoughts only made tears come to her eyes, hearing the care for her. She just kissed his neck gently as to say thank you for comforting her because it was helping whether he knew it or not. She just looked at him with teary eyes, her hands sliding to his, just wondering where he came from because it was like an angel in her presence. “Thank you. You have given me support that I really do need right now. It’s hard, but I’m getting through it,” she said softly, for once weak in front of him, the fragile being that she was deep down. It was rare for an immortal to truly feel about something that happened in the past, even if in the recent past, but she trusted him already because he had not run away after they slept together.
Mystique smiled as he seemed completely thrilled to have this opportunity to be stuck in here reading away, buried in books. It was true that she read quite a bit, but she always liked to study and to decipher what books meant, especially those that were considered classics. She blinked, evidently having been wrong about his writings, giving him the look like ‘oh, I didn’t mean to intrude’. “Oh alright,” she said as she just had gone into the kitchen and after she returned with a glass of wine, looking for a book as he asked her that question, smirking a bit as she did not even know. “I’m actually not sure. I never really counted. At least 1000 books,” she said as her eyes wandered over the walls of books that lined the fairly large room. “Some of these books are older than I am which is a bit ancient if I might add,” she said, taking out Wuthering Heights, smiling as she ought to reread it once more.
The binding of the book was fairly worn, a show of a well used book as she sat down in the very large chair, just curling up next to him, but turning so she leaned against him slightly, finishing her small glass of wine as she propped the book open and her eyes began scanning the pages. The night grew long and she just ended up with the book slumping in her hands onto her chest as she fell into a deep slumber, her legs dangling over the arm of the large comfy chair, her head propped up on his shoulder, her back gently against him.

SOMETHINGS TELLIN ME TO LEAVE but i won't Chandler couldn't see her, but since she was right by his ears, she could hear her breathing become a little lighter and the usual sniffs as the nose started to be clogged of tears. That only made him want to squeeze harder, but sometimes he wasn't aware of how much strength he was using, so he kept the very same squeezing hug to make sure that he didnt' break anything. He may not have been as strong as his brother or father-or any other werewolf for that matter- but he still carried the gene of supernatural strength. Just not as heavy as one. Instead of being as strong as ten men, he was more like carrying the one of five. Out loud, which he was greatful for considering he couldn't read her thoughts, she said that she was greatful for the comfort and she needed it. That made Chandler's heart squeeze a little bit. Poor Mystique. She had to be hurting. She looked so fragile in his arms, lightly kissing her forehead as he let go, still feeling as if he shouldn't say anything, but nod slowly.
It was a little embarassing to find himself reading already. He wasn't a giant reader. Chandler knew some of the classics, but other than that, it was hard to determine what to read. Some books were fantastic but they were such an easy read that he tended to finish a book a day in the series. Then the ones that were challenging took him a lot longer since Chandler wasn't a big fan of challenges. With his lazy attitude, he usually got things done that were easy. As for paying off later, he hadn't had yet any real karma to come at him because he hadn't worked hard enough. Perhaps the signs of college were doing that, since Chandler was spending his days at a hardware place. His job was to fix things, and he usually did it well. The major problem was that when he had no motivation for the job that he needed to do, he often ran into timing problems.
Mystique came back in and answered his question. His head turned around once more in amazment. God, over one thousand? She literally could open a library with this. The book he was working on was probably hidden between some two other books. If he had the time and energy, he might have gotten it instead of White Fang, picking up where he left off. She came and picked up another one. One he had heard of many times, but haven't gotten around to reading yet. She had a popular one. He half smiled at her when she said she still had books from her realm. It was indeed ages ago, before a lot of people could read and write. Before women were allowed to get an education, he might add. Chandler would be afraid to pick up a 2000 year old book. As if it would turn to ash as soon as he picked it up.
He felt him being leaned on, in which he turned his head to look and gave a small half smile at her. She was cute, he did admit that. Personality, cute, of course. He had already established many times over the reality. He took his shirt that he placed on the table and used one arm to put it over her as she fell asleep, focusing on a few pages of the book. Once the book read 'chapter three' at the top of the page, Chandler's face was on the opposite page, asleeping on the book as Mystique contiuned to lay on him, feeling the sleep that he had needed for a good long time.
