Today was a good day. Things were going well. Lucky hadn’t awaken her early like he usually did and she was able to sleep in. So then Ember took him out and she was able to play with him. Ember always loved to play with her little dog, Lucky because sometimes she felt like she just didn’t spend enough time with him once she moved to Manuka which was quite a nice place. She loved it there, but the people often confused her. There were things called…hunters? Yes, that was what they were called and they wanted to kill people like her. Why though? She didn’t really get it. Why couldn’t people like her or supernaturals as someone told her they were called and hunter could just get along? They were all just people and the only reason Ember was neutral was because she had no idea what the statuses meant. Ember was incredibly naïve when it came to the sides. She really didn’t know what they meant so she just always said that she was natural because she didn’t want to offend anyone because she had no idea about any of this. She had only become a supernatural a few years ago because she would have died if she hadn’t. It was during the hurricane and she was about to slip into the flooding water, which would have been fatal for her. The water was so strong and she wouldn’t be able to get out once she got in. Ember still wasn’t sure if she had made the right choice in selling her soul. After Ember played with her dog Lucky she had taken him to the doggy day care because she always feared leaving him alone and that he wasn’t socializing enough. Also since he was a small dog his bladder didn’t always last and Ember wasn’t too fond of having to clean up after him, but she would if she had to. She loved the little dog. He was just so cute with his big brown eyes and his white blonde hair that stuck out some days while others his hair laid flat. Ember had had Lucky since she was twenty. Her grandmother had bought it for her for her birthday. After her grandmother had told her that Lucky was the runt in the litter and everyone thought that he wouldn’t last more than a few weeks she knew that she had to name him Lucky because the little runt wasn’t a runt any more. He was strong and healthy. He was going to live for awhile; he already had lived for more than five years. Ember adored Lucky and if anyone hurt her then they were be getting to see Ember’s bad side. She didn’t have much of one, but what she had of one was not always the best thing to see. She would just say her mind, nothing more. She wasn’t into bringing people down. She didn’t like that at all. Her grandmother always told her that if she had nothing nice to say that she shouldn’t say anything at all. Then a cute little coffee shop caught her eye and she gasped in joy a little bit. She had never been in there. Ember almost tripped over herself as she rushed into the store. She smiled and looked around excitedly. It was the cutest like coffee shop! Walking to the counter she smiled and asked her southern accent sprinkling her words, “ May I have…umm… a red velvet cupcake with a chocolate latte…with extra whip cream?” Ember laughed a little and her eyes became the size of saucers when she received her order. It looked so good! “Thank you very much!” Ember said happily her accent molding with her words. Walking over to an empty seat she set down her food and began nibbling on her wonderful red velvet cupcake. there can be only one mikey! of caution 2.0 |
