And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are Her eyes scanned over the park eagerly, lazy in a way as she then paused upon hearing Colt mention about the sunshine. Frowning, she mused quietly to herself. She got a dull ache in her eyes if she dared to widen her eyes too much, or look up. Were her eyes registering the sunlight? In a way they always had to an extent, but otherwise not to this extreme for what she was used to. The brunette laughed lightly at Colt's comment on the guys. She didn't know, nor did she care all that much. It was basketball, probably something once she got her full sight back she wouldn't care about much with it besides watching it. Football, well, soccer here was definitely her cup of tea. She sighed softly as she allowed her new-found sense to enjoy the sights of the movements she was able to see. "Well, I'm sure they're playing the game better than I would." she flashed a sheepish grin before adding, "No, seriously. Thank you." she emphasized, before she then raised up her hand that wasn't intertwined with Colt's and brushed it along his jaw for a brief moment, brushing along his longer hair, before her hand fell, a gentle look over her features, "You're wonderful." she commented gently, before her hand that was connected with his, suddenly moved. The hybrid wanted to be closer, sure they were in public, but it wasn't like she was about to sit on his lap or anything. No way. Moving her hand, she then had it so that his arm was over her shoulders, she could be much closer to him, and her hand was still connected with his that happened to be around her shoulders.
Smiling weakly, she nodded as he described the basketball, "Interesting. I wonder why it's orange?" She flashed a quick grin, her eyes falling on someone walking past them. A slight frown followed, she wanted to be able to see what she was looking at. But movement she figured couldn't be too worse. Movement was movement after all. That was definitely something besides darkness that she had grown accustomed to over the past decade. After all, she'd moved to the United States, well - ran from Sierra Leone to the United States. A gentle nod followed, "Yeah, I know." she smiled gently. He might be one of those see-to-believe types, she knew she definitely was. Well, at least cold, hard facts about things. Otherwise she didn't believe them. She'd think about them, but she wouldn't believe them. Not one bit. The hybrid's attention shifted as Colt then opened his mouth once more, catching that bit of excited movement. Hearing him speak, she grinned and squeezed his hand, "No? I do know...in Sierra Leone, they were called lovers or boyfriends. Would you prefer for me just to call you my friend?" she arched an eyebrow, as if daring him, "I trust you to take care of me, I mean after all, you've guided me enough it feels natural." she mused gently, her thumb tracing over his hand gently, as she rested her head on his shoulder, perfectly content. "I thought boyfriend would fit just fine." she teased gently, before the hybrid then squeezed his hand, "How about some ice cream? I'm in the mood for some." she grinned gently, before pointing, "Isn't there usually a truck with ice cream that stops by the park? Or had I been imagining that music all these months."

How in all the hells did he get so lucky? How many times had Colt thought that one thought just today? Not to mention yesterday or any other day that he might have with Lorelai.... Just today. In this one day, he had witnessed a miracle, been allowed in to see something akin to magic happen. Lorelai was regaining her sight and he was that much closer to having her fully. The thought thrilled him to the core and every second brought him that much closer to that goal. He had laughed at her comment about the guys playing basketball, but hadn't expected the touch because he'd been momentarily distracted by sports. The shock of her fingers brushing his skin made green eyes snap back into focus and Colt looked down. "Wonderful? Me? Oh, no. That's you. You're the wonderful. I'm just transportation."
That laugh rang out and Colt found himself shaking his head. Silly hybrid woman. They had agreed to take it slow and she'd spent almost all of today cuddled into his side. Sure, he didn't mind a single bit but the fact that they had made an agreement amused him. The teasing note in her voice when she spoke about the term 'boyfriend' made Colt smirk. Did she know how attractive that was, when she shot a comment right back? Her wit intrigued the werewolf, made him want to test her limits just to see how far she'd go. Perhaps he'd have to try that sometime. "Boyfriend, huh? I guess I'm okay with that. I do like the guiding part. I feel useful for once." She brought out the natural flirt in him, teasing all the time. " All of this, of course, goes with me assuming I can call you my girlfriend. These things usually work both ways."
Green eyes were bright, flirtatious as he arched an eyebrow in response. He only got to hold that position for a moment, though, before she mentioned ice cream. Immediately, his face shifted. Almost childish glee consumed his features. "Oh want ice cream? No, you're not crazy. There's an ice cream truck that comes around here. It should be...." THe werewolf shaded his eyes against the sun to scan the area. "There. Shall I escort you over there, m'lady?"

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are As she settled down with Colt's arm around her, and her hand entangled with his, her other hand lightly brushing along his side, as if mapping out his torso. She'd been right though, he was muscular, though it wasn't the obnoxious muscular that she still wasn't sure why girls seemed to love. Whatever the reason, she didn't care, all she knew was she thought and believed, and knew for a fact that Colt was perfect. At his comment, she cocked an eyebrow, "Oh, you wanna argue over that? Not so soon." she whined her last sentence, unable to keep the playfulness out of her voice. "I'm sweet, you're wonderful." she grinned, as if they were splitting it in half or something. As she remained like that, the hybrid allowed her eyes to shift away from the male beside her for a few brief moments, as she peered around the park. It was so weird, she could see shadows, like...she figured in a dark room, but now there was movement. The shadows. Was she a bit freaked? Somewhat, but the point was her eyesight was beginning to return and she couldn't stand the thought of not being able to see everything like normal in a few months. Though she knew most likely her eyes would be sensitive to light for awhile, as they already at least seemed to be sensing the sunshine that Colt had told her was shining, plus she could feel it.
"I'm sure you're more useful than you realize." she spoke gently, giving him a reassuring look. She couldn't help but laugh at his comment as he mentioned calling her his girlfriend. Pausing, Lorelai mused, "Well....I guess I'll be okay with that." she winked, "Sounds just wonderful to me, like you." she emphasized once more. Then the ice cream. Lorelai fell silent, listening in for the sound of the childish music, before she caught wind of it. Grinning as Colt spoke, she nodded, "Please, kind sir." she responded playfully, "If it was moving, I could find it, but then we wouldn't get any ice cream." She commented with a 'as-a-matter-of-fact' tone. Though it was true. Then that would be the truck would be leaving and they'd be stuck without ice cream unless they went somewhere else, like a cafe. But she remembered Bonnie, upon her moving to Manuka, the woman guiding Lorelai to a truck which she allowed the witch to feel with her hands, before getting her a chocolate and vanilla twist cone. The best in Lorelai's humble opinion.
Standing up, the hybrid turned, her hand still connected with Colt's, having taken his arm from around her shoulders so that he could walk comfortably. Though he was taller than her, she knew her 5'9' height could probably make his arm go numb with his arm over her shoulders. Lorelai's hand remained entangled in Colt's as they had stood up, she brushed back her hair, frowning slightly as her head tilted down, her ears tuning in to the sounds, before she pointed to their left, towards the inner parts of the park, "What's going on over there? Some kind of street thing?" she inquired. If it was right, there was an international street fair once in awhile here, where there were tents set up and everything from all over the world. Including Africa and Spain, where her father was from, and Africa, where she was from. Though she hated thinking about it, she did have some trinkets from Sierra Leone in her apartment, including a tribal vase her mother had owned, one of the three things Lorelai had had with her with she came to the States. "We could poke around there with our ice cream if you'd like. Maybe there's something from Sierra Leone." she mused gently, her hand squeezing Colt's lightly, "So boyfriend, what's your favorite ice cream?"

Colt couldn't help but laugh at the silly little tone she'd taken with him. Okay, they were going to have this argument? He was so totally gonna win. "If I'm gonna be wonderful, which I totally can be if you want, you're gonna have to be more than sweet. Those don't compare. You can be... beautifully sweet. That's closer." In an uncharacteristically cute move, he bopped Lorelai on the nose. God, what was up with him today? Sure, she could see him coming now with the whole being able to see movement thing but he was being so... so.... boyfriend-y. All cute and flirty and protective, but different than the protective he was over Tober. Of course, he hadn't had the chance to be in the boyfriend role for quite some time now, so maybe he was just out of practice. Hm... He'd have to work on that.
Oh boy. Did she realize the opening she'd left him with? He just couldn't resist. "Ohhhhh," He singsonged, nudging her lightly his shoulder. "You guess it would be okay to be my girlfriend? Maybe I should take it back then. Give the title to someone who would be more sure of it." His tone was all sarcasm, all joking. She'd left it wide open and he was never one to resist such things. "Oh, right. Ice cream." As he started to guide them in that general direction, Lorelai pointed out a sound that he hadn't quite noticed. "Oh, you're right. I guess that is a street fair. Sounds like I've got some good music over there! Yeah, I'd love to check it out."
So many things to do when it came to Lorelai. He'd gone boating, swimming in the ocean, watched her regain the ability to see, petted a whale for god's sake. Was there really no end to the charm of simply being around her? Maybe it was the magic, but he thought that maybe the world just seemed a bit brighter by her side. Sure, he was more than fond of her but could that really happen? Could the world really be a better place because of one single person?
He mused quietly about his favorite sort of ice cream before deciding. "Vanilla. Drizzle of caramel. So much goodness. I'd like chocolate but it makes me sick. Dog and all." Was his world now a whirlwind of laughter and hand holding and new experiences? Was this what it would be? 'What about you, hm? Oh. We're here." He had somehow managed not to notice. 'Since you made such a fuss about me getting coffee and lunch yesterday, do you want to get this? Would that make you happy?" Deep down, Colt knew that he would do whatever it took to make her happy. Be it ice cream buying, petting whales, or just being around for a while... He'd do anything to see her smile and that maybe scared him just a little but thrilled him just as much.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are The moment that she heard him begin to speak, she knew they would get into it. Nothing serious of course, after all they were arguing over compliments with each other. Adorable. She shook her head calmly, closing her eyes slightly for emphasis, "Don't think you can shove two adjectives at me and get away with it." The witch-mermaid wagged a finger of her free hand towards Colt, as if warning him. "How about this, I'll be pretty, and you're wonderful. That's my final offer." she waved her hand, as if dismissing it, she flashed a teasing grin, "I mean, I think you can be wonderfully handsome and I can have pretty sweet. Yes?" she grinned impishly. She jumped slightly when she caught something moving close to her face, suddenly realizing it was Colt's hand. God, she'd need to get used to that. Used to the fact that she could see things like that now. See things coming towards her, see people running across the street, cars darting down the road. Would she be able to see them coming towards her? Well she personally hoped she'd never need to worry about that, as she always had Colt or Troy with her. Though the woman fell silent and her mouth opened in mild horror when he spoke about taking the title back. A quick pout molded itself onto her lips, hoping she'd snag him in her snare with that. "Cooooolt," she whined playfully, then tugged on his shirt gently, like a child, unable to resist, "That's so not fair!" she grinned gently, going along with it.
How easy could it be? She didn't think anything could be this...simple to be with someone. How easy it was to get along with him. As he agreed about the street fair, Lorelai nodded lightly. She could smell stuff out most likely, especially some of the food she'd eaten back in Africa too, and her father's Spanish dishes. Tilting her head slightly as they were approaching the ice cream truck, Lorelai fell silent for a few moments, mulling things over before she then heard him mention something about his favorite ice cream. Ah, the chocolate. Made sense, and she understood. She took a quick mental note of that, never to get him chocolates. Like she would, she honestly was glad she wouldn't need to worry about that til his birthday. "When's your birthday?" she then inquired, wanting to get that, an innocent look falling over her features, "Mine's September 19th." She grinned lightly, then added, "Ah, caramel? I've been known to go for the, twist, I believe it's called? Vanilla and chocolate." she smiled lightly.
As she figured they were waiting in line, she did catch movement in front of her. The man in the truck serving out the food. Aha! They were in line. Tilting her head slightly so she could see clearer, the brunette grinned at his comment about getting this. She voiced her thoughts gently, "Thanks for keeping an eye out for my pride." she winked, squeezing his hand gently, "Yes, I'd very much like to pay for this." The brunette nodded gently as her fingers coiled lightly around Colt's before her other hand fished for money in her purse and scowled, "Why can't we make money different sizes like every other country?" she sighed before holding up a bill, and scowling, "Please tell me it's a ten." she glanced swiftly in Colt's direction. It was either a five or a ten, that much she knew, personally she hoped it was the latter, but it had gotten jumbled up enough to the point where she had to ask for it. Wrinkling her nose, Lorelai looked to Colt gently, "Speaking of for that title, I'm going to fight for it, just to give you a heads-up." she teased, holding onto the money for the ice cream as she stepped up, as they were next in line. This was absolutely perfect. Her eyesight wasn't only coming back meaning she could get a better job, she was with the most important person to her right now, Colt, and it was absolutely gorgeous out. She hated thinking this, but what could go wrong?

The grin was taking over and it was such a delightful feeling. "You're pretty and I'm wonderful? I like the sound of this plan. Let's keep this one." He winked playfully, which she could see now. "And pretty-sweet, wonderfully-handsome? I like those even better." Silly little argument about nothing serious. He liked the dynamic already. Somehow, the green eyed werewolf thought Tober would approve of this sort of silly banter. It was the sort of thing she thrived on and he made a mental note to tell her about it later on. "What's not fair?" He aid easily, never missing a beat. "I was perfectly serious. If you're not sure, maybe this isn't the best plan." Of course, it was meant to be a joke. Underneath the layers of teasing, there lay a single note of seriousness. It was buried deep down, but existed none the less. Some part of Colt was very, very serious about this joke. If he thought for any real moment that Lorelai wasn't taking this seriously, he'd have an issue and it would become readily apparent. He believed, however, that was she was taking this seriously so her efforts were appreciated and the statement was veiled. Useful.. His ears perked up slightly at a question. His birthday? "Oh, it's... July 15th. And yes, caramel. That thing you're describing can also be called a swirl, too." He chuckled under his breath when she said something about the money. "Yes, darling. I considered your pride. Yes, that's a ten. Tell the man what we want and then we can wander, hm?"Notes: Sorry this is so short. I got really sleepy halfway thru.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are Lorelai shook her head gently towards Colt as he commented about their respective adjectives. She found it endearing, and not to mention, adorable. Wrinkling her nose slightly, Lorelai shrugged, "Agreed, those two then." she smiled lightly. Her hand remained with his, and her free hand went to his arm that was connected to his hand with hers, and she spoke lightly, "Oh Colt, don't be mean." she whined gently, before giving him a gentle look, "I do tend to bite if I need to." she teased. Her hand brushed his arm gently, as if to reassure both of them. Lorelai then added, as her eyes caught movement to their right, only to realize it was a woman with a young child. The hybrid grinned fondly. Children. She loved them to death, always had and most likely always will. Though did she want her own? Sure, but she personally wasn't too sure about that at the same time. Would she be an okay mother? God she hoped so, but she certainly was going to wait a few years, she was barely twenty yet. Lorelai hadn't ever really thought much about kids, mostly because..before, she got here, the only thing she was worried about was to keep her mermaid half hidden from Chibuzo. The hybrid shuddered slightly, barely realizing she had. If he would have known that part, he probably would have loaned her out to people for their entertainment of a mermaid, the mythological creature in Sierra Leone. Her hands tightened around Colt's arm slightly, a silent panic rolling over her in massive waves.
"I'm completely serious about us." she murmured gently, knowing with Colt's hearing he'd be able to hear it over everything else. The woman nodded as he mused about his birthday. July 15th and September 19th. She could easily remember his birthday, it wasn't like she had very many birthdays to remember. Troy's birthday, though she had had him since he was a puppy, it was in February at some time, so therefore she generally celebrated it at the beginning of the month. Then as he confirmed her pride and the ten, Lorelai grinned and mused, "See? You're wonderfully polite." she winked and got her twist, before letting Colt order. As she handed him the bill, Lorelai kept her hand out quietly, waiting for her change, hoping the man in there would see her mannerisms and take to putting it in her hand for her. Plus usually her eyes helped as well, since she rarely moved them. Why would she? It wasn't like she had much to look at. Well, yesterday. Today, she could look at so many things that moved. The cars, Colt's hands, Colt in general. Blushing slightly as she tucked her money away, Lorelai then frowned, narrowing her eyes as she then accepted her cone, and shifted her gaze towards Colt silently. "Yes, wandering sounds just fine." she agreed, her ears picking up sounds of what seemed to probably be a concert with the street fair. "Oh, a concert? Maybe some hot-shot band decided to show." Lorelai grinned sheepishly, before offering her cone to Colt, "You can have some of the vanilla side if you want." she grinned gently, not wanting him to get sick on her because of the chocolate. Not after everything he'd done for her. How perfect, she thought quietly. How wonderful, how did she get so lucky? She just knew one thing, she never wanted to be too far from Colt if she could help it.

This really was a thing, wasn't it? This flirting, this teasing... It was leading to something. It was building a connection between himself and the hybrid woman who stood grasping his hand like a lifeline. That spark, that sting he felt (which had almost become deliciously pleasurable) meant there was a connection between them and that connection was gaining strength. He'd happened upon her in real life and it was like life had slowed to this hellish crawl but nothing mattered because Lorelai was there in that slowness. That was all that mattered, that was all that was important. She was standing next to him, wanting to be near him. They could handle this together.
The existential bent he'd gone on in his head probably wouldn't have made any sense out loud. It was completely gone now, anyway, and he was back to focusing on conversation. "Who's being mean? Meeee? Never." Eyebrows shot up in surprise, unable to keep his mind from going all kinds of places. "You bite when necessary. Duly noted. I'll file that away in my mental book of useful information to be pulled out later on. You might regret you told me that." There it was again, that easy flirty lilt. It was almost too easy to play along, to mess with Lorelai when he felt like it. Most people seemed threatened or annoyed by it, but she just continued along as if it were nothing. He appreciated that, was intrigued by it.
Ah, it seemed to be ice cream time. Green eyes watched Lorelai order her cone and turn over her money. He requested his own and got it in what seemed to be record time. He'd heard her comment about being equally serious, but decided to keep his comments to himself. His own mind was all a jumble as to what to make of the little world they were creating, so he kept his opinions to himself for the moment. There were much more interesting things to think about than his own fears.
Street fairs were always amusing places to spend time, or so he thought. Gatherings of ideas, people, and traditions. Though the werewolf wouldn't willingly admit it out loud, he found history rather interesting so things like this attracted his attention almost instantly."Lots of things for you to see around here, huh?" Colt said quietly, squeezing the hand he held gently. "Can I just say how glad I am to be a part of this whole experience?" A question that he had not voiced popped into the forefront of his mind and wouldn't be kept in. "Lorelai.. why did you want me there today at the doctor's?"

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are A playful scolding tone took hold of her voice before she could stop it, "You are! Big meanie." she pulled a quick pout moments before a playful smile landed on her lips. Licking her wonderful ice cream, she was glad she'd mentioned this. Ice cream was one of her few guilty pleasures. It was the thing that she remembered having in Sierra Leone too, before her family's murder. Before her life went downhill and she ended up in a powerful man's house - literally he ran half the country it seemed, and then escaped to the States, ending up in Manuka. Where she was now with a man she only ever imagined ever meeting. If she could go back and ask her 10-year-old self what she thought she'd be doing when she was 20, she definitely knew she wouldn't have answered being with the most wonderful man there was in the world. Lorelai paused when he then took her statement about biting. Wide-eyed, she opened her mouth in mild shock and commented, "No! Not..." she sighed in defeat, shaking her head, "Good. You'd better keep that in mind." she poked his chest with her hand with the cone in it, careful not to touch the cone to his shirt, as her finger brushed his t-shirt. "Or maybe I'll do it when you're least expecting it, hm?" she cocked an eyebrow playfully, before her attention was caught. She felt like a dog. Zero attention span, though she knew Colt would understand. She wasn't used to being able to see someone walk in front of her, or see someone offer their hand to her for a handshake. It was so weird, awkward and wonderful at the same time.
Realizing Colt had fallen silent for a moment, she inquired, "What are you thinking about?" Purely curious, her vocal tones not at all threatening. Not at all pushing him, pushing him to tell her what he was thinking about. If he wanted to tell her, he could. If he didn't, she was fine with that too. "Yes, there is. Though, I'm thinking I'll be okay with it all." She fell silent as they neared the place, as well as that Colt voiced some of his thoughts. Good, she liked listening to him talk. He was glad? Good! She was hoping she wasn't forcing him into anything, holding him here against his will with her. Personally Lorelai couldn't get enough of time with him, selfish? Probably, but she wasn't afraid to admit it. The hybrid worked on her cone as they approached it, as she could see people walking close to them, at least no one seemed to be paying too much attention to them. She liked that. Like no one was watching their little world they had formed, it was just her and Colt. That was it and no one else.
By the time she finished her cone, Lorelai paused upon hearing his question. Why? The hybrid tensed slightly. To be honest, she had just wanted him there to be there. Then it ended up being even more, and she realized how much she actually cared about Colt. So much it hurt it seemed. "Umm...originally...just for you to be there..you know?" she smiled shyly, her hand that was free, brushed along some blanket it felt like, "Then I knew...I wanted just to be with you, and..." she paused, "I sort of chickened out on telling you about how I was blind, so I thought that would be easier." she blushed slightly, "I realized how much I cared about you last night." she admitted, having had a dream about him. In her future. She certainly liked the future aspect of the whole thing. A deep blush colored her cheeks when she thought of the future she'd seen, she didn't know when it was, but it was definitely the future, for some major reasons. The hybrid looked to him, "Why did you think I invited you? Or were you just curious?" she grinned softly, before pausing, as her hands had brushed against some beads. Pausing, the hybrid ran them over the details, and she heard someone with a thick accent speak to her about their price. Nodding, she mused, "I'll swing back by for them." she flashed a short grin, and the woman nodded, before Lorelai stepped away, letting her and Colt get swept back into the crowd. "Oh, and if you see anything you like, we can go see it."

Colt couldn't help the laughter that bubbled easily from his chest when Lorelai realized what he was implying. Sure, he was a gentleman most of the time but that didn't mean his mind didn't go to places like that when presented with the perfect opportunity. Just the kiss from yesterday was enough to give him ideas. He was male, after all, so that wasn't all too difficult a connection to follow. He was amused at her wide eyed expression though, and chuckled again. "Oh boy. Not only are you going to bite me, but you're going to do it when I least expect it. This is snowballing here, dear. You might need to be careful where this is headed. I might take it in a direction you didn't intend." There was something new in his tone now, a darker sort of seductive sound. His imagination had been triggered and it was now tumbling all over itself to come up with images that he couldn't necessarily deal with at the moment.
Clearing his throat to try and clear his mind, Colt almost twitched when she asked what he was thinking. Can't you that... He mused to himself. That wold be about seven layers of inappropriate right now. I don't think it's right to kiss you freely yet. Let me take it slow so I don't scare you away. Of course, the thought only came out as "Nothing much really. Just admiring the scenery." That was so untrue! Sure, he was covering up the rabbit hole his thoughts had decided to bound down, but he was also trying to figure out what Lorelai had in mind for them. Sure, she liked him. That much was obvious. She'd called him her boyfriend and she was his girlfriend. That was the obvious part. Where was this wild ride headed? Did she think about a future? Was it even acceptable think about such things.
Colt did start when he realized that he was thinking way too hard in a place that required very little actual thought. Of course, as soon as he'd made the necessary adjustments to move his thoughts along Lorelai directed him right back to them. She had wanted him to be with her.... How much she liked him? Jesus. That was just too adorable. "That blush really compliments you, you know? I should figure out how to make you do that more often." Of course he was covering his tracks again and that was getting more and more difficult to do. When Lorelai outright asked him his opinion, he couldn't lie. "I guess I just... wanted to know why yu immediately trusted me that much. It's a very... intimate, personal thing. Not that I'm complaining of course."
Fingertips found her hair, brushed a piece back affectionately. "I just don't want you to have to think that you NEED to do anything with me. If you want to have some secrets, that's okay. But I will also be wherever you need me whenever you need me. I guess you've pretty much figured that out though, huh?" God, there was that urge to kiss her again. It was almost like a magnetic pull, willing him to move just enough to make contact happen. In moments like this, it seemed that the constant tingling that signaled their connection became more apparent, like that feeling of anticipation before lightning strikes. The thought of lightning brought him back to that kiss and it was hard to stay still. Damn it all. "Oh no," He tried to sound cool and collected, but figured it probably failed. "We;re here for you. I'm just happy watching you look."

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are His laugh. Good Lord it was wonderful. She loved it. Giggling like a school girl, Lorelai returned his giggle before she then tuned in to his words and cocked an eyebrow in his direction. Giving him a slightly devious look, the brunette mused, "Who's to say that I didn't know where it would be going?" she grinned. She'd been around guys - men before - she knew how they thought. Not all of them, she knew that, but the moment you gave them any reason to, most of them jumped right to that. A kink in their design she had figured, not like she minded that much, just as long as Colt didn't become too stupid with testosterone, she could handle him. Then again she wasn't worried, she trusted him and so far they had only done things such as hand holding, and that one kiss. She wanted another though. Would he kiss her again? God she hoped so. She had yet to find a feeling to compare to that kiss she had with Colt. It was unlike anything in the world she'd ever felt before. Incomparable. Goodness, his voice. If he didn't watch himself, Lorelai would pretty much melt into his arms, become putty for him to mold. Then her mermaid voice slipped, "I could always just calm you down, Colt." she purred his name, grinning gently as she had leaned over so her lips were closer to his ear than before. Straightening back up, her normal voice having returned, Lorelai mused, "Admiring the scenery, hm?" she grinned gently, her hand squeezing his for a moment, "What do you see?" she inquired, wanting to see what he saw, paint a picture for herself with his words.
Tucking some of her hair away from her face, she then reached into her pocket and produced a bobby pin, quickly swiping up her bangs, having gotten used to the action over the past few years, and therefore her side of her face was clear of hair so she could see better, as that was the side with more hair than the other. Pausing lightly, the young woman perked at his words, and she felt another blush coming up around her neck and cheeks. Damn him. "I'm sure you'll find a way." she mused, giving him a sheepish look, "That I don't doubt the slightest." She knew he'd get what he wanted. He'd get that blush whether she fought back about it or not. He was just too perfect, and adorable. She threw out a wave of magic, something that only she and other witches and warlocks would be able to feel. She then paused as she caught a little alley part between some of the tents where she and Colt could hang out for a few. Be closer - if at all possible, as with the crowd it was already to the point where Lorelai then took her hand from Colt's, and slipped it around him, holding herself closer, but it also kept them from getting bumped into as much. She got to hold onto her anchor a bit easier.
Listening to his words, Lorelai nodded calmly, "Of course, Colt." she reassured, "But I'm not very fond of secrets, not all that much." she winked lightly. "I just want you to know that I won't lie to you." Lorelai nodded as his rhetorical question. Of course. She loved the fact that she could count on Colt, that he'd be there for her if she ever needed him. It was so reassuring, she almost wanted to cry. In most of her life, she'd rarely had people there for her, especially after her family being killed, she didn't believe anyone would care about her after that. Colt did. It made her want to cry out of joy. Not sadness. She didn't think she could ever feel anything but pure bliss, enjoyment, and passion around Colt. She felt like she could be herself. Have someone there if she needed someone. As her magic looped back, it must have hit Colt slightly, causing her to get a few of his emotions. He wanted to kiss her? Adorable. She wanted to kiss him right back. Kiss those sweet, wonderful lips like yesterday. Hesitating, Lorelai's hand grabbed his arm, before swinging them back to that little space between the tents, and she threw up her hand towards the crowd, and a dull ebb of energy flowed like a wall, giving them privacy.
Her hand placed itself on his chest as she looked down for a brief moment, that same sensation as yesterday, being this close to Colt was addicting. If she wasn't careful she felt like she wouldn't ever be able to peel herself from his side. Lorelai's other hand reached up and ran a course through his hair gently, enjoying the feeling she got just from doing that. Tilting her head gently, as her hand traced itself along his jaw, Lorelai mused, "Do you trust me?" she asked quietly, feeling like a child asking their parent if they did. She was happy, so much happier than she'd been in the past decade. Placing her head on his chest in a mild hug, she heard his heart thud powerfully, strong in his rib cage. Just like him. Strong, powerful, passionate. Loyal. Even if it had been only a day, it felt like a year. Lifting her head then, Lorelai inquired, checking with Colt, "Can I kiss you?"

Oh boy. If Lorelai continued to encourage, to tease him like this.... Colt wasn't really sure how long he could last. Normally, it was his job to the untouchable. He could play his games and won most of the time. The girl he wanted ended up coming home with him and everything was great. This only worked, though, because usually the women he picked up didn't know how to play his games. Lorelai had picked up the rules and bent them to her own will. He wasn't quite sure what game they were playing anymore, but he rather liked the direction it was headed. Arching one eyebrow playfully, the werewolf turned to Lorelai. "Oh, so you know where my thoughts are leading me, then? And you're encouraging it? That's... a very dangerous thing to do, Lorelai." He had been planning on scolding her teasingly, but all of a sudden she was at his ear. The mermaid voice was turned on, his brain registered that much. He wanted to do so many things, but none of them were quite appropriate. The mermaid voice and the absolute innuendo of her statement definitely weren't helping the situation either.
Glad for the distraction, the werewolf cleared his throat. Scenery... Focus on the scenery. "There are a lot of colors around us. It's sort of hard to describe them all because they sort of just blend into one color scheme all over. There are people milling about, visiting the stalls. Old people, young people, men, women. Couples are holding hands and strolling down the street, just like us. There are just so many things to look at in a thing like this. I sometimes forget where I was looking in the first place and just transition over to something else. It's sort of interesting really, how many things there are to look at. I can't wait til you can actually start fully seeing and I can reintroduce you to things." That was a rather interesting thought... Introducing Lorelai to things in the world. He'd have fun with that job.
Lorelai blushed even deeper at his comment about the coloring and Colt couldn't resist a grin of satisfaction. "Just so pretty," he mused softly. "Of course, you're pretty even without the blush. It just compliments." Green eyes flickered to Lorelai when she spoke of the truth. "I would prefer you didn't lie to me, yes. I am rather big on honest. That's a thing of mine, remember?" He chuckled lightly, though his attention was completely drawn when she used magic. Somehow, he could tell. The air almost sizzled with the power and again, it tasted faintly of metal. So that was hat he'd tasted on her... The magic.
Colt almost lost his balance when Lorelai pulled him aside. Immediately, his heart started racing a mile a minute and he hoped that she couldn't hear it. It seemed to be the only thing he was able to hear.... the sound of his own blood whooshing through his veins. Ba-DUM, ba-DUM, ba-DUM... "Of course I trust you, Lorelai. I think that should be a silly question by now. Why do you ask?" His thought pattern was absolutely shattered by her touch. That same burning sensation sizzled his nerves and it was almost as if Lorelai's skin burned him. No pain singed, however, just a delicious warmth that he hadn't felt with anyone else. As she raked a hand through his hair, green eyes slipped closed enjoying the feeling thoroughly. No one ever played with a guy's hair. That seemed to be a girl thing. Still, he rather enjoyed it.
He felt hew draw very near and it was all Colt could do to control himself. That burning, that sensation was almost overwhelming and he wanted to scream! Did she feel it too? Was it driving her absolutely mad like it was driving him crazy? Was this all even in his head? Come on, you idiot. That voice whispered again. Don't you get it by now? You're falling for her. You're supposed to feel this way for her. The voice had a good point, but Colt couldn't accept it. Not just yet. Colt Wolfe didn't love. If he had anything, he had lust. He sort of wanted to believe that, for his own sake, this was just like all the other times. It was just so different, though, that he hadn't admit that something in him had changed. Because of her... "Lorelai..." The werewolf practically whispered her name, soft and almost pleading. "Please." There was a bit of a smirk, a bit of amusement in his permission. They were supposed to be taking things slow but neither one of them seemed capable of doing that.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are The hybrid was enjoying it. A bit too much? Perhaps, but she definitely enjoyed doing it, especially seeing that Colt just eagerly returned it. The brunette cocked an eyebrow towards the male as she then heard him attempt it seemed to almost playfully scold her, though from what her ears picked up, slightly not get to that tone. A deviant smile fell along her colored lips before she allowed him to finish, then she commented, "Call it what you will, but my confidence isn't allowing me to back off." she winked playfully, before the hybrid's attention landed on a spinning movement to her left. Frowning, she focused on it, and tuned in to the sounds it was making. It was a remote controlled little helicopter. How...cute. She listened to the little buzzing sound it made as it spun round and round, and the hybrid grinned upon hearing someone comment in Spanish about wanting to buy it. Over-priced she thought, but then again she wasn't sure what things like that went for over here in the States. Though when he explained some things, then added about reintroducing her to things, Lorelai nodded, "I look forward to it." she beamed enthusiastically. "Especially like, buildings in Sierra Leone I'm sure are much different than they are here." She was excited to see things like that too, things like the different shades and colors of plants here, clothes, and goodness! She would finally be able to dress herself! Well, pick out her outfit anyway, usually she had a friend over once or twice a week to help her pick out some clothes. "How is Tober's fashion sense?" she inquired, knowing it was random, but she was curious. Maybe she could ask his sister to help her out with the clothes, as she'd prefer not to dress herself in something horrible due to not seeing the colors.
Keeping her pace with him, Lorelai was vividly aware of not only how close they were, but the feeling that she got being around him. It was amazing, it was a tingling sensation unlike anything else she'd ever felt. A burning sensation remained on her skin after his skin left touching hers, like their hands. It was addictive, it was wonderful, and exciting all at the same time. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, listening to Colt's soothing, deeper voice. She should tell him how much she loved his voice. It was enticing to hear him say anything and everything, just so she could hear it. "Course I will never lie to you. And yes, I do certainly remember." Lorelai nodded gently, "In fact I do remember you said you couldn't be with someone who wouldn't be themselves, no?" she quirked an eyebrow gently, giving his hand a gentle squeeze, before responding, "I just...like hearing it. And I like hearing your voice." She confessed sheepishly.
Course the moment that they were closer than before, Lorelai felt like it would knock her to her knees if she wasn't careful. It was absolutely wonderful! The slightest touch, the barely even needing to get a glance from him and she felt the passion burning her blood. Good Lord, she loved it. Feeling like a school girl, Lorelai's eyes closed briefly, especially when she momentarily placed her head on his chest, enjoying the sound of his rhythmic breathing, and that heartbeat. Strong, and...faster? He had to be feeling the same thing she was. It was marvelous, addicting, perfect. Then, the permission. Oh, she caught the amusement. It was all right, she was mildly amused herself for asking, but they were supposed to be taking it slow. Were they? All she knew, she was...extremely comfortable with this. She wanted it. She wanted Colt, yes...she wanted him. She didn't want to think about going a day without being able to hear him, or see him, at least his movement. Be able to get this burst of energy it felt like, from him every time they were near. One hand placed itself on his strong chest, the other had cupped his jaw, also for a guide for herself as well.
Then, that glorious moment. It also knocked her to her hands and knees from the passion, their lips met and Lorelai swore it was the best thing ever. Hell, it was better than eating her favorite food it felt like. It was absolute perfection, and his lips - perfect, luscious she figured she could say. Lorelai didn't pull back immediately, too caught up in the moment, she felt like she couldn't get enough of him. Enough of Colt to ever satisfy the craving. Craving to be near him. It was so strong, it freaked her out. How could she feel this way about someone only after a day? Was this normal? In the back of her mind, a little voice told her, It's supposed to be like this, you've fallen for him Had she? She certainly believed so. Only after what felt like a wonderful eternity, Lorelai pulled back - or probably from lack of oxygen - and she gave a small smile up towards the taller werewolf. Did he feel that too? He had to, he had to, she repeated silently to herself. Lingering there for a moment, Lorelai's hand remained on his chest, the other then fell to his shoulder, as if to stabilize herself. It was so powerful, so wonderful. Biting her bottom lip briefly, Lorelai raised her eyes to meet his, where she knew they were at least close to anyway, "If I can kiss you anytime I want, you can too." she mused softly, her eyes falling down, not wanting Colt to see the blush he'd most likely attempt to get to appear again. But she loved kissing him, it was wonderful, and she didn't want to deprive either one of them that, as long as he wanted to as well. Which was why she offered that. They were so close though, Lorelai...was surprised. She didn't mind it. She felt safe, protected in his arms. One word she found, perfection.

Colt was glad for the continued distraction of talking about the scenery. That helped keep his mind straight and off of topics that he shouldn't be lingering in. Careful hearing tuned in on the sound that Lorelai picked up, a little helicopter. The werewolf almost wanted to go over and mess with one himself but he chose to stay by Lorelai's side and keep her company instead. "Architecture here is.... weird. We have no national sort of architecture, so everything is a weird mix of eras, depending on when the building was built and what country had control of the place at the time." It really was interesting how the country that he (and so many others) called home was really just a mixture of other countries and traditions. That seemed sort of like a cop-out when it came to identity, but then again... he was a mixture of human and wolf. Lorelai was a mixture of mermaid and witch. They were just like the country they both inhabited, so he supposed that worked.
"As far as Tober's fashion sense, I'd say she has pretty good taste. I'm sure she could help you with clothes, if you wanted."Colt watched Lorelai close her eyes as he spoke and he wondered vaguely what she was listening to. Did he say something funny? Was she listening to some other sound that wasn't even him at all? He chuckled when Lorelai confessed that she remembered what he had said about honesty, but he went rather quiet when she continued on to how she felt about his voice. So she had been listening to him. A proud grin worked its way onto his features and Colt sidled a bit closer than he had been before. "You like my voice, huh? Well, I think that I can handle that. I can talk about whatever, whenever you want." That was an easy thing to handle, especially if it made her happy.
As soon as the closeness registered again in his mind, Colt's green eyes went to Lorelai. She really was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, but she was so very shy about it. It was a funny sort of thing then, that he wanted to do everything in his power to remind her of how beautiful she was in his eyes. The werewolf was constantly reminded f how little time they had known each other, but it already felt like an eternity. Was it always like this or were they special? Secretly, Colt hoped that they were the exception to the rule so that they could continue to be this close forever.
.....and then she kissed him. Colt was hit almost all at once with the taste of metal and the heat of electricity. Someday, he would ask her about that... why she tasted like that. But for now? For now, he just enjoyed it at all. One of his arms looped against around her waist, which seemed to be their default position for this sort of thing. The other hand played with her long dark hair, reveling in its silky softness. It seemed almost too short a moment before Lorelai pulled away, and Colt had to resist a growl to convey his displeasure. Green eyes tracked immediately upward to meet her eyes again and he was spellbound. What had she said? Anytime? That growl from before resurfaced and met the air, though this time it was clearly playful. "Is that so? Anytime I want?" That was all the provocation he needed to kiss her again, quickly and softly. God, that was amazing.
Though their lips no longer connected, Colt was very reluctant release her from the close embrace. Her body felt amazing against his and he didn't really want to give that up. Of course, they'd have to move sometime, but for now... He just just continued to hold her, eyes traveling over her features as if to memorize them. "You're absolutely beautiful, do you know that?" The werewolf asked after a moment of silence. "what are you doing with a dog like me?" As before, the overtone was teasing. Underneath, a real and true question. He might have been just a bit nervous.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are Lorelai had to keep her attention locked on to Colt as when he then mentioned about the architecture here, she grinned softly. She could see that she supposed. What was it that America was called? The Melting Pot? She supposed she could see that. "Now I'm very curious to see these...hybrid buildings." she grinned softly, a little joke for them to get in on, though no one else most likely would. Unless of course there was an immortal around, those guys got annoying, she knew - she'd met an immortal before, he was her lawyer for getting her Visa and her citizenship and her testimony against two of the guys who had killed her family. Them and their thought reading. Annoying as hell. Thinking of the hybrid though, they were both hybrids in their own way. Not technically speaking, but Colt was a mix between a wolf and a human, and she, mermaid and a witch. Both hybrids. How interesting, she mused solemnly to herself, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "That'd be awesome if she would." she smiled lightly towards Colt, "I guess that's one thing we could bond over." God she hoped Tober liked her. The last thing she wanted to do was for Colt's younger sister to hate her. Then his voice, and he responded to her. Smiling gently, the brunette listened to him keenly, before she nodded, "Wonderful, well my ears are always open, for various reasons." she teased, one mainly because it was also her main sense before she could see movement. She'd listen in to people's footsteps, cars moving down the road, the shift people did when they moved in their chair or something.
All these different noises meant something to her, and she always aimed to paint herself a mental picture so that if she dared to stand up, she wouldn't stumble over something. That and Troy, her magic and the walking stick always helped. Colt now definitely helped so much. Just being with him was like a drug. She felt like if she didn't get to see him everyday, she would go into withdrawal and have a fit. She certainly hoped not. Lorelai wanted to be with him almost constantly - within reason of course. They both had work, and he was a big-shot mechanic getting the shop when the owner retired. She grinned fondly. Good for Colt, she thought to herself. Moving right along, wasn't he? Course all this stopped the moment their lips met, and it felt like he took her breath away. It couldn't be fair, could it? He had to know what he did to her when he just even looked her way. Made her feel like a million dollars, like she was untouchable, and it was only her and him in the world. Lorelai's mind restarted slowly as Colt repeated her offer, and she grinned shyly, almost coyly, before they kissed quickly once more, she spoke, feeling his arm around her waist, holding her close. She didn't mind. Instead, she loved it, and remained close, placing her feet closer to him, to make sure they weren't more than an inch apart anywhere. "Yes, well...within reason. I promise if you try to kiss me while I'm sleeping, not guarantees that I won't accidentally shock you."
One of her hands had fallen and now was coiled around his back, holding her just as close to him as he was holding her to him. It was wonderful, being this close to someone she felt and so completely trusted. Then a compliment, and Lorelai swore she felt a slight blush color her cheeks before she stopped it and gave Colt a gentle look before she traced her fingers gently along his jaw, then commented, "Thank you. Have I told you you're wonderfully handsome?" Then his other question. It was playful, but picking it apart carefully before she playfully answered, she caught the undertone. A real question. Why was she with him? He made her feel safe, he was a gentleman, he was playful, witty, handsome, protective, and a good guy. To be honest she was surprised he didn't have a girlfriend beforehand. One of her hands fell to his chest and placed it over where his heart was, she mused, "You...make me feel like no one else ever has." Technically it was her first...major love crush on someone, but she knew this was different. Her gut, her instinct and magic told her so, and she trusted herself a lot. "You're wonderful, protective, witty, smart, handsome." she smiled gently, fingers brushing over his lips lightly, "And you're not a dog." she poked his chest gently, "I...really care about you, Colt." she said, including his name, as she loved how it slid off her tongue when she said it. It was wonderful to say his name. Made her want to sing it as loud as she possibly could. "Are you sure I won't need to worry about a jealous girlfriend?" she winked, silently telling him that she found him absolutely perfect. How had he not been taken? Lorelai rested her head on his chest for a moment, before her eyes then lifted to meet his, "I can't wait till I can see your eyes."

The werewolf honestly couldn't think of a way that this could be more perfect. Well, except maybe if they had more ice cream but that was mostly a joke. He could honestly see Lorelai in his life forever, just wandering with him through town, going somewhere random on his motorcycle. Of course, that was probably going a bit too far but he was all too eager to find out what the future held for them. If they had already gotten this close in two days of being together, the werewolf was incredibly interested to see what the years held for them. "So let's see. I shouldn't kiss you while you're sleeping or you'll shock me, eh? Maybe I'll have to try that out. Of course, I'd have to be near you when you were sleeping for that to happen. Look who's accidentally suggesting things again." The smirk on his features was undeniably attractive, but Lorelai couldn't see things like that yet. God, he couldn't wait until she could.
He listened quietly while Lorelai explained why she was with him. God, did she think that much of him already? Some part of his mind instantly became nervous. How in the world could be live up to expectations if she already thought so highly of him in two days? Another part of his mind became instantly smug. Well, of course all those things were true. The parts blended together into the little voice that spoke to him in the silence. Just take it easy. It'll all work out if it's supposed to.
The hand that had been in her hair placed itself over her hand, holding it close to his body. "I think you've mentioned it once or twice. We're a good looking pair then, I guess." The jokes slowly trailed off as he became serious rather quickly. "I really care about you too, Lorelai. I'm not sure what we're meant to be yet, but I'm so ready to find out." His voice dipped down for just a moment as if sharing a well-guarded secret. "I am a dog, though. Don't tell anybody but I'm a werewolf. I turn into a wolf at least once a month. That sort of makes me a dog. Which reminds me-" he resumed normal volume, as fingertips traced her collarbone. "I have yet to show you my wolf form. That should happen sometime, I'd imagine."
What Lorelai probably didn't realize was that it took a lot for Colt to want to show his wolf form to someone. He had been incredibly uncomfortable with being a werewolf when he was younger and his parents had never made that any easier. The family pack relationship had been strained and almost painful, so he'd left. That meant that a lot of his first discoveries were made on his own and he sort of resented pack life for that. His wolf form represented the things he didn't really like about his life, which he was forced to remember at least once a month. It was difficult (not to mention painful), but Colt seemed willing to show that Lorelai if she wished it. He was startled out of his thoughts by her joke. "No, no. You don't have to worry about anyone else coming out of the woodworks to be jealous." There was a pause as Colt thought about what it would be like to have Lorelai looking back at him. He smiled then leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Can't wait either. I have so many things to show you."
