The door opens to one of the inside swimming pool and gym combo places. Walking inside Zane holds a black and blue gym bag. Today would be a good day to train and relax seeing how this is one of his days off. Well that's what he thought to himself. Heading straight for the gym area of the building Zane set his gym bag down beside the heavy bag. Putting on a set of MMA gloves he prepared himself to start training what was an attempt to stay in shape.
Throwing a quick right hook the bag swung backwards, as it came back towards him he landed a fury of strikes including left jabs, right jabs, left low kicks, right low kicks, right high kicks, and a bunch of elbows. It's apparent that Zane must know some type of martial arts. Continuing on with his training he pounded away on the heavy bag adding more and more force behind his blows. Most people would think that after throwing continuous heavy strikes that one would get tired, but it didn't like that was the case for him.
After a good half an hour had passed Zane believed that he had done enough damage to the heavy bag. Stepping away he took of his sweat drenched tank top and shoved it into his gym bag. Picking it up he walked over to the pool area of the building and jumped in. Doing laps back in forth in the pool was cool and refreshing to him. Also it kept him busy making him less liable to go out and do something completely stupid. Getting out of the pool he sat on the edge of the pool with his feet dangled in the water zoned out.

Rowan narrowed her eyes, her eyebrows ruffling out of annoyance. Today was supposed to be a training day, a chance to build up her fire taming skills. Not that she needed it, but you could never be quite good enough. But instead, she had gotten kicked out of the house while her mom decided to go through a massive spring-cleaning instead. Her family knew how shy and withdrawn she was. They knew that she'd rather spend time with a good math equation or some romance novel than be around actual people. Too bad her older sister was busy today.. because she was royally screwed and had no where else to go.
Rowan's plan had been to go to the park for a nice long walk. Maybe watch some squirrels run around, or feed the pigeons some bread. But as soon as she stepped foot outside her door and the immense heat made contact with her body, she had to run inside and put her bathing suit on. She was going swimming. As she neared the pool, she hoped no one else would be there, yet was slightly disappointed when she found out just the opposite. Going to the other side of the pool from the male, she stripped off her shorts and tank top and slipped off her sandals, revealing her bikini.
Sitting on the edge of the pool, she looked down, deep to the bottom. The water was clear, and the smell of chlorine filled her nostrils. She loved it. Rowan kicked her feet in the water, the cold liquid splashing up her legs and giving her goose bumps on her thighs. After a second, she lowered herself into the pool, kicking to keep her head above the water. Every now and then she gave the other guy a glance, hoping that she wouldn't have to suffer through the awkwardness of a conversation. Thought it was pointless. She knew a conversation would happen sooner or later, even as much as she willed it not to.

Finally snapping out of his zoned state Zane noticed a girl on the other side of the pool. She started to take off some of her clothes then got in. He couldn't help but notice that each time she looked in her direction she was bothered by his presence. What the hell did he do wrong to her was the question running through is mind. A bit baffled by this he shook his head and minded his own business.
Suddenly out of nowhere it hit him like a ton of bricks. He was completely sober, which meant one of two things he would either be a really nice person or a complete ass hole. Too bad for this girl he had a short fuse and she lit it. Licking the inside of his lower gum line he slowly got fully out of the pool. A puddle of water formed at his feet as it dripped off his body.
Now looking across the pool directly at her he fumbled words in his mind. Wondering just how to approach her or just how to talk about her without blowing the whole situation way out of proportion. So Zane did the most plausible action, ask a question. Cuffing his hands togeather to make a small megaphone like thing he yelled across the pool.
Got a problem!!??

Rowan had spaced out for a minute, splashing in the water, her back towards the guy. She smiled softly to herself as she looked at her hand, which was under the water. The rippling surface gave her hand a fun house mirror-like effect. She giggled slightly, until she heard the man yell. Her smile instantly dropped and her eyes got wide. Her pulse instantly picked up as nervousness sparked inside her. Turning around slowly, she looked at him. Her blue eyes were wide and doe-like. Like a deer caught in the head lights. "M-me?" She asked, her nervous stutter arriving in her words. Fuck. She hated when that happened.. but she couldn't help it. Honestly. She tried so many times, but it never worked. "N-no.." Rowan shook her head, her expression unable to be summed up by anything less than terror. She suddenly looked behind her, realizing that the water had caused her to float towards the stranger. This made her panic. Gasping slightly, she swam back towards the other side. Her back faced him as she leaned against the side of the pool, resting her chin on her arms which were folded and resting on the cement surrounding the pool.
Rowan squeezed her eyes shut and sighed deeply. She hated strangers. And she hated confrontation. Two things combined into one for maximum awkwardness. She felt so stupid for looking at him before, and even more so because of her stuttering. She wasn't even sure if he heard her answer, because her voice was so small and meek. She hoped he did.. she didn't want to look like a rude person and him get the impression that she was ignoring him. Rowan grumbled to herself quietly about her stupid mother telling her to leave the house just to clean. She hadn't even been here for two minutes and she was already dreading one more minute of it.

The girl he had just asked a question too expression changed quickly.. “M-me?” he heard he say. Shaking his head he watched as she swam back over to the other side of the pool. She turned his back to him resting it seemed. One thing he hated more than getting rude looks for no reason was being ignored. Sighing to himself Zane walked started to walk around the pool.
Taking his sweet old time getting over there he tossed up in his head either to be nice now or to become an even bigger ass. Once he got to her side of the pool he stared at her for a second. Looking down at her he smile. Yea who, there's no one else here so who the hell else would I be talking to? I just wanted to know if there was a problem because as soon as you came here you acted as if there you had a beef with me. So do you?
He asked this question calmly in hopes that she wouldn't get all defensive. The last thing he wanted was to get into an argument. That's the last thing Zane needed on his day off. Hopefully they could just talk it out and get past any wrong doing that was done.

Rowan's eyes snapped open as she heard his voice, and she gave a small gasp. "Uh.. w-well.. I.." She stuttered and fumbled for words to answer him, her small girly voice full of nervousness. She looked up at him with her big blue eyes, her light brown hair cascading down behind her. "N-no.." She mumbled quietly. After a second she looked down at her arms. The awkward feeling that she always got when she talked to new people returned. It made her feel so odd and weird. As if she was purely just incapable of holding a normal human conversation. "I didn't m-mean to c-cause any trouble, sir." She glanced up at him before looking back down. Rowan sighed slightly and thought about her older sister. She was tall, blonde, and certainly outgoing. She wouldnt've even looked at the guy weird if she was here. She probably would have went over and introduced herself, then charmed him into giving her his number. Oh how she wished she was Aphrodite..
On a whim, Rowan decided to step out of her little box and make an effort at not being so awkward. "I'm Rowan." She said, surprising herself because she didn't stutter. But then, she wondered what the man's reaction would be. He probably didn't care what her name was, and wasn't interested in any conversation. Letting go of the side of the pool, she let her body sink under the water more. Finally she just held her breath and dunked under quickly, before coming back up. She looked at him, patiently waiting for his reply to her feeble attempt at being some what social.

Zane stood there looking at her as she talked to him. Now of course he was a little zone out seeing how he smoked a special cigarette before he started swimming, so It wasn't really all that long ago. Coming back into the real world he stared at her and she stared back up at him underwater holding her breath. Thinking in his head and starting to smile he held his cool and didn't. Looking down at her he leaned over a little bit to get a better view of her bodies, natural curves. Staring pretty hard he got a slight smirk on his face before he snapped out of it and stood straight again.
Leaning down so he was sitting on his leg muscles. Zane poked his finger into the pool just a few inches. The ripples formed in a circle and shot out as they normally should. Wiggling the finger around a tiny bit he began to have some fun. It's okay, you can come out. I promise I won't bite you.....Hard. Finishing up his sentence he had a slight smirk and added a flirting wink in the same direction. Standing back up straight he would only wonder if she would now talk to him. Or if she would continue to try and be antisocal and be a damper on his day. Well he'd be damned if that happened. In his head he knew if this didn't work he was going in after her and then what would happen. No one really knows but it wouldn't be any thing bad, that is something everyone should know.

Rowan had been slightly warming up to the idea of being conversational with the man. It wasn't hard, she realized, once she said hi. She couldn't gaurantee no stuttering, but as long as that didn't bother him, she could possibly manage to have a conversation with this dude. After all, he seemed nice enough now.
It's okay, you can come out. I promise I won't bite you.....Hard.
Her eye brows both raised out of surprise, and even a little amusement. She might not be the smartest-- oh wait, she was a fucking genius. But still, she knew when some one was trying to hit on her. Even jokingly. And as shy and meek as she was, her attitude flared up inside her; no pun intended. Hell, she could always just send his ass flying to Timbuktu on a fireball if she so chose. "Uhm, no thanks. I'll just hang out in here." Rowan replied, a little bit of her hidden attitude poking it's head out. Turning around, she started to swim until she was in the middle of the pool. As much as she wanted to set him on fire for even speaking to her in that tone, she couldn't help but feel a bit intrigued by what he'd said. It gave her a little hint of excitement that she could feel in her gut.
What did he actually mean? She glanced behind her real quick but as soon as her eyes met his she scoffed and turned back around. No. She shouldn't be wondering about anything. She should stick to what she said and just ignore him until he went away. But something told her that if he did someting else, she wouldn't be able to resist temptation to find out any true meaning behind his words.

God dammit went through Zane's head as she started to swim towards the middle of the pool. He watched as she turned around. As he eyes met his she quickly turned back around. A little chuckle came from his mouth. Shaking his head he took a deep breath then let out a slight sigh. Stretching his arms then his legs really good he jumped up and down a few times. Grabbing his neck he twisted it on both sides. Both times several cracks rang out from being popped. Looking back at her again he sighed again the took a few steps back. Figuring this would be a good time to show off, Zane thought it would be good to take advantage of the situation. Running forward with a bit of a jog he jumped forward and started to spin backwards.
Zane landed feet first in the pool. Water splashed out around him as his body broke the water. Waves went flying in every which direction. It was clear for a little person he sure did make a large splash. Feeling the cool water on his skin again felt good. Now that he had shown off it was time for him to do what he intended to do. Swimming over to where Rowan was. Floating right behind her he said in a very relaxed and well naughty tone, So are we gonna talk like adults, am I going to have to bit you to get your attention, or are am I going to have to carry you out of the pool. Pick one your choice. He didn't know which one she would choose if she would even choose one that is. Still floating there he gave the charming little smile now mixed with one a little sexier, or so he thought, Zane waited for her to respond.

Rowan had wondered why it had gotten so quiet. It was like he just simply left. But then, it all came into perspective when she heard the splash then felt the ripple effects of the water just a second later. She wasn't exactly the tallest girl around so a few of the little waves managed to hit her in the face and wet her chestnut colored hair, turning it a darker brown. She huffed and crossed her arms across her chest, making it a point of ignoring him. And for another second, she thought maybe he'd just make this easy and stop trying to talk.. er, flirt?.. whatever he was doing. But she was wrong. Again.
Hearing his voice break the silence make her shiver slightly, the chills running down her spine, and causing her self to roll her eyes at her own childishness. There was something in his voice that just made you want to agree and go along with whatever he asked you to. Feeling suddenly vulnerable, she rolled her eyes and turned around, and started to swim towards the shallow end until she could walk. Then she just made her way to the edge and swiftly pulled herself up, then sat down on the concrete.
Crossing her arms over her chest again, she looked at him and raised one of her eye brows. "There. Now we can talk, you have my attention, and I'm out of the pool." She said, naming all of the things he said and rolling her eyes, the smallest traces of a grin on her lips that she was trying to hold back. If she was being completely honest, he was pretty damn attractive. But there was no way she'd ever tell him that. Row kicked her feet in the water, and after a second she let her arms fall to her sides as she straightened them to lean forward slightly so that she could look down into the clear liquid.
She glanced back up at him, her eyes moving over his toned body, but then like before, when her eyes actually met his, she looked back down in the water as if nothing happened. "Well?" She asked, looking up and raising her eye brows a bit in anticipation of what he was going to say.

Zane smiled as he watched her shiver just a tiny bit. He could tell something was up but he just couldn't put his finger on it. He decided not to push it knowing sooner rather than later he'd find out what was going on. Rowan swam to the other side of the pool and slowly pulled herself up. The water just fell right off her back into the pool, but some of it went onto the concrete siding. Noticing her raise her eyebrow and crossing her arms he heard her speak again.
“There. Now we can talk, you have my attention, and I'm out of the pool.” She tried saying it with the most serious look on her face. Yet since he was good at reading people Zane noticed the sly little smile trying to emerge that was locked away inside of her. Shortly after Rowan hung her head down again. When she looked back up he could tell she was checking him out, for when their eyes met she quickly lowered her head again. Catching her looking back up at him for like what the fourth or fifth time now he gave that little charming smile of his.
Swimming over to where she was sitting was the easy part. Now figuring out what to say was the hard part. Once it came to him Zane knew exactly what he wanted to say. “ Well, my name is Zane. Zane Jaxson and I’m happy to meet you ms. Rowan. He said reaching for her hand in a gesture trying to kiss the top of her hand. Was it a sign of respect, or was it him just trying to charm his way into her head. Only he knew the answer to that, and it was time to find out how she would react

Catching his little smile out of the corner of her eye, her lips twitched with her own smile. It had been five.. maybe even ten minutes? And his charm was already making her melt. Well, not really. Since Rowan hadn't ever really melted for anyone. But his cute little smile was deffinateley getting to her. Looking up as he neared her, she wondered what the hell he was doing. She just watched as he came closer, her muscles ready just in case she had to kick some ass.
Well, my name is Zane. Zane Jaxson and I’m happy to meet you ms. Rowan.
But she was surprised when she saw his intentions, that he was just going to introduce himself. And she was even more surprised when she found herself giving him her hand. "Nice to meet you too, Zane." She answered, the smile that had been threatening to come out before flashed. Her pearly white smile looking cute with the dimples on her cheeks. After taking her hand back she put both of them on her lap as she just sat on the edge of the pool. She was so damn awkward, since she really didn't know what to say. "So. Um. Why'd you wanna talk?" She asked curiously.
The water that had been dripping down her body was now drying and the air around them, despite being warm, was still giving her a chill. Goose bumps showed up on her bare tummy and her arms. Rowan sighed slightly. "It's friggen cold. I'm getting back in." She said with a small grin before sliding back in. Since they were on the shallow end, she stood up and the water line was only to about her elbows. Everything from her elbows down was warm once again, and it was a nice feeling. Letting herself float, she kicked up and floated on her back, keeping her eyes locked on him, wondering what he was going to do next. He obviously wasn't your typical guy. Because if he was, then she wouldn't be here talking to him. She just would've blew him off like every other person who tried to talk to her.

Finally it worked. It seemed like it took forever, but he did it. What did he do exactly? Simple made her smile. Not just a small smile but a large smile and a very beautiful smile at that. She talked once more, asked what he wanted to talk about. Not in a simple way but in a awkward way. She was either anti social or just didn't talk to strangers very often.
Either way Zane didn't care because he wanted to talk and her asking meant she was interested. In his mind interested is very, very good. Zane watched as Rowan hopped back into the pool, she complained of being cold so that's where she decided to go.
Well since I finally got you too I have to say, you have a very pretty smile. And well since I have no idea what to talk about, lets talk about you. What is it exactly that makes you tick?”
Zane said in a whisper as he ran his finger tips gently over her body. Mind you that none of the spots he touched were inappropriate. Floating back a little bit he prepared for anything she could throw at him. Crossing his arms he started at her and smiled that little charming smile again, only this time he added a very special wink to it.

Rowan eyed him, her arms crossing over her chest as her body stopped the shivering as she warmed up to the water once more. Her eye brows rose slightly as she listened to him talk to her. She kind of spaced out as she just watched his toned body move through the water.. the little droplets running down his abs like a mini waterfall. Until she looked away, just looking down into the water.
Well since I finally got you too I have to say, you have a very pretty smile. And well since I have no idea what to talk about, lets talk about you. What is it exactly that makes you tick?”
She felt a bit of terror as he wanted to know about her. She hated talking about herself, and plus, everything that she loved would probably bore him to death. "Mathematics, reading, writing. Fire." The last word kind of slipped out. She hadn't meant to make herself sound like a pyro maniac, but well, she didn't really care once the word left her lips. A small sparkle was in her eyes as she flashed him a quick smirk. Oh yes, fire was something she definitely enjoyed very much. Her eyes widened, though, when he touched her. She hadn't been expecting any physical contact, and it sent her emotions into a tail spin. No one had ever touched her- sexually or not. She was little miss virgin good-girl. The image of innocence in the romance department. Rowan swallowed slightly, feeling her heart beat quicken again.
As soon as she started feeling some what comfortable, he had to go and do that. Now she was back at square one. She locked her eyes on the spot he'd touched and it almost felt as if the spot was on fire. But she was determined not to look like it bothered her, so she looked back up and shrugged. "Nothing big. I'm not really that interesting, soo.. you'll probably have better luck some where else." Her statement held the hint of another bigger subject. She wasn't willing to give in to any more of his charms.. and she wasn't sure if she'd be able to fight back against her own will if anything.. happened. Shrugging, she waded over to the deeper water until she couldn't touch the bottom. Rowan kicked her feet gently, keeping afloat as she just watched Zane curious as to what he'd do.

Zane listened intently as she spoke a very short sentence about things she liked. One of them rung a bell in his head. Fire both something he loved and hated. Loved because he was a pyromaniac, hated because he once best friend turned into one of those fire handlers and knew he had to kill him one day if they were to ever meet again. Kind of zoning out, shaking his head Zane came back into focus just in time to see her smile. As a few moments passed she spoke again.
Nothing big. I'm not really that interesting, soo.. you'll probably have better luck some where else
Not interesting, that was a total lie. So far he liked what she had said, well all apart from the beginning of the conversation. Thinking in his head on what to do, or say it came to him. He hand an idea and he thought it would work, if it didn't well then looks like he was out of luck. Watching as she swam to the deeper part of the pool he stood there thinking. As the idea popped into his head he acted accordingly. Swimming over to where Rowan now floated he looked her in the eyes then spoke.
Well I think your very interesting, I'd like to get to know you some more but I'm getting all pruned soaking up all this water. So I'm about to hop out and hit the sauna. You can join me if you'd like. Giving the smile once again. Was it over used, probably but he didn't care if it worked. Swimming behind her, slowly lifting up his hands he gave her a gentle shoulder massage. Leaning his head forward he whispered in her ear in a sexual tone. I'd like it if you joined.
With that being said Zane lightly kissed Rowan on the side of her neck. Withdrawing his hands he slowly start to swim to the side of the pool where he started to make his way out. He didn't know what he answer would be. Yet he held onto that little shred of hope shed take him up on the offer.

Rowan's hazel eyes got wide as he got closer. She froze as her heart beat picked up in speed with the closer he got. His tone gave her butterflies in her stomach, not even from the face that is was him. Yeah, she was attracted to him. But, she was innocent and pure. She had never done so much as kiss anyone before, yet here she was with this guy who was probably much older than her doing things that her mother would not approve of. Her breaths got shallower at his touch, though as much as her mind rejected it, her body welcomed it. She involuntarily tilted her head to the side as his lips made contact with her neck. She even found herself closing her eyes.
But once he moved away she snapped back into reality and got a hold of herself. "Um excuse me! Who do you think you are just going up to random girls like that!" Rowan furiously argued. Her shock, anger, and excitement overcame her meekness and her attitude burst through. Following him out of the pool, she stormed after him, as much pissed off as she was turned on. "It's bad enough that you touched me without permission--" She growled. When he finally stopped walking, so did she. But only inches from his body. "Then you have the balls to just kiss me!?" Glaring up at him, her eye brows furrowed with annoyance, she got right up in front of him. She was so close to him that the wet fabric of her bikini top brushed against his chest slightly.
She noticed the distance- or lack thereof- but didn't want to back away. And as much as she told herself that the reason for that was because she was too pissed off to move, she knew fairly well that it was because she liked being this close to him. "What do you have to say for yourself?!" Rowan hissed bitchily, her face only inches from his own. Her eyes were a darker shade of brown now, since they were out of the bright lights that were directly above the water, and now under slightly dimmer ones.
