Beau was having a little problem. Well, he didn’t really see it as a problem, but the dog that had made its way back into his home was a slight problem. The mutt had been around for about three days now, so Beau could ignore it no longer. He knew of a pet store in town where he could get the animal some food. He couldn’t leave the animal without something to eat or drink. It would die if it didn’t have something, and Beau couldn’t let that happen. It was just too awful a thing for him to even think about. So instead of thinking about the awful thing called death, he crawled out of the tree he called home, and whistled for the dog. He would have to think of a name for it if he was going to be feeding it. He heard trotting coming from his left, so he began walking. Soon the huge dirty thing came to his side. It looked like a vanilla colored lab and something else, but he was definitely a cute animal. He just needed to find the perfect name for his new companion.
Today Beau had put on a pair of old red vans since he was going to the pet store. It brought him ideas for names. “Vans.” He said. The dog kept its head straight forward as they walked, without paying any attention to Beau. “Laces.” Nothing again. “Dog.” That one he just said to be funny, but the lab jerked his head towards Beau. “Oh no, your name can’t be dog.” He said laughing. It started panting like it was really thirsty, so Beau picked up his pace to get to the store faster. “Okay, since you can’t be dog, you need another name. How do you like Pickles?” Nope. He didn’t even know what gender the dog was. He stopped, dropped to his hands and knees and looked under the dog’s belly. Sure enough it was actually a she. Beau returned to his feet and brushed off his hands and the leaves that stuck to his knees. “So you’re a girl, huh? Well, that would’ve been better to know before I tried to name you Dog.” He smiled and scratched her behind her right ear.
There were too many names. Maybe she would like to be named something like a flower? His favorites were daisies. Beau looked down at the dog. “Daisy.” He said. The dog looked up at him and barked. Good. Now that that was out of the way, he smiled warmly. “Alright Daisy, time for the two of us to get you some food!” he almost skipped his way out of the forest and into the city. When he arrived at the pet store, he opened the door and smiled with bright innocent eyes to the young girl behind the counter. She looked at him like he was a crazy person, but Beau didn’t notice.
First he went to where the dog food was. He got a giant bag that he was barely able to carry before going back to the front of the store to get a cart. Next he followed after the dog, who made her way to the toys and treats. Beau picked up everything she began to sniff and by the time he reached the leashes, he already had most of his cart full. It was good that Beau wasn’t the type of person to waste his money on useless things, because he now had enough to buy all of these things for his new friend Daisy. As he made his way to the front of the store, Beau looked behind him for his dog. Daisy wasn’t there. He quickly got this weird feeling in his stomach, and deserted his cart in the middle of the aisle. “Daisy!” he called out for her. When he turned the corner, he nearly bumped into someone. He skidded to a sop. “Sorry! Have you seen a yellow lab? Kind dirty? She just ran off.” He said with worry clearly in his voice.

The darker eyes squinted slightly, and he pointed accusingly at the camera in his laptop, "Aha! No squinting!" The guy on Skype groaned and rolled his eyes towards the darker-haired male, who was grinning triumphantly like a child. "Boom, I win Lukas." he spun in his chair that was at the bar in his apartment's kitchen. Laughing, he then looked to the pair of Amazon Parrots who were neatly settled on top of their cage together. He looked back to his older brother on Skype, "The ladies say hi, by the way." he grinned impishly, and approached the slightly smaller one named Anaea and the other Andromeda - sisters in fact. Stroking Anaea, he mused, "How are my leading ladies, hm?" he inquired, stroking her on the back of her neck, causing the bird to react by lowering its head slightly. He then had both of them on each of his hands and set them into their cage, closing it. Food time, he needed to go get them some. Tilting his head slightly, the black-haired male turned to his brother as he asked about visiting. Shrugging, "Why not broseph? Though I need to run and get some food for them." he approached his laptop and turned off Skype after a quick bye and then closed his computer. Getting out of his apartment, he debated on driving, but decided against it. Made everything easier.
At least if they were out of the food today, he had a few days left, so he could always return after the weekend. Stuffing his hands into the pockets on his pants, he was particularly glad he'd changed his shirt before heading out, mainly because it was cooler than he thought. Winter was edging in through fall now, with fall settled in nice and neat in Manuka. He knew he'd need to go south this winter if he wanted to be able to shift without freezing to death pretty much. Twitching, he jumped slightly with lightning fast reflexes. At least he had those, giving him time to react to a bullet or something. Nevertheless he was nothing like an immortal or vampires. They had to be difficult to kill off, same thing with werewolves. Whatever, he had more important things to do, like his photography, his music, and his acting and classes of course. Then just college in general. Wrinkling his nose slightly he ignored his phone vibrating in his back pocket. Not that important, he just wanted to get this bird food if they had gotten it shipped or not. Entering the pet store, the shifter paused slightly. He always got carried away by all the strong smells in here. So strong, so...potent in some ways. Wrinkling his nose, the dark-haired male stumbled slightly when a large dog bumped into him and headed around the corner to another part of the store, since the door had been closed.
What the hell? Who brought a dog here without a leash? Whatever, he shrugged and picked an aisle, heading down it, only one hand in his pocket now. Blue eyes scanned the shelves before he then grunted when someone ran into him. Or close to it. Stopping in mid-step, his eyes widened slightly at the male in front of him who asked him if he'd seen a lab. The male then noted the guy's hands. Filled with dog stuff. A new dog it looked like. Arching an eyebrow, he gestured over his shoulder, "Yeah, totally. Larger than life dog, right?" he grinned, "Just bumped into her, literally, I think she's taking a loop right around the store." Finn then straightened his frame, "I'll let you know if I happen to run into her again." He grinned reassuringly towards the other guy, then paused, enhanced eyesight noticing something in the back of the store shifting slightly. Was she getting into dog food? Most likely. Chuckling, he headed over to the dog then who had been behind the guy, and gripped the back of her neck gently, where the extra skin was as to not hurt the animal. "I'm guessing this is your dog, no leash and the lab." he voiced, patting the dog and letting it sniff his hand, "Need any help with that? I'm no dog master, but I can keep an eye on her."

Beau looked at the dark haired boy with wide frightened eyes. He had said that he saw the large dog and that he would tell him if he did again. Beau smiled and nodded. “Thank you!” he said with joy. He looked around for his new dog and let the boy go on with his day. Beau walked swiftly down the aisle towards the front of the store, but decided that the dog would probably go to where all of the cat stuff was. If she smelled the cats she would probably go crazy finding them. He turned and saw the dark haired boy with Daisy by her collar walking towards him. “Daisy!” He said with total bliss and excitement. Beau dropped to his knees after reaching the dog and pet her and pulled her into a hug. The brunette offered to help him with the dog and he smiled. “I have a cart over there! I’ll go get it!” he said and stood.
Beau walked to his cart where all of the items that the dog had picked out and ruffled through the things to finally find Daisy’s new leash and collar. He left the tag on both, but unpackaged them so that he could put them on his new pup. He rested them on top of the rest of the things and started off towards the boy who was holding Daisy. Beau always loved meeting people that reached out a hand to help other people. He always knew that people were basically good no matter how much other people told him different. He always came to know everyone’s good side. Well, mostly always. There had only been a select few people that never came to grips with their inner kindness when they were around the innocent minded seventy one year old. He didn’t know exactly how it had happened, but he was thankful that his mind hadn’t been perverted to other ways of thinking. Instead, he had kept his youth and innocence through everything he had been through. He loved the fact that he could go through life and see everything optimistically.
Beau reached the brunette and his large mutt. “It’s so great that you could offer to help. I really appreciate it.” He smiled graciously to him and stopped the cart and walked around the side of it so he could grab the thick pink collar and its mate, the pink leash. He bent down and wrapped the collar around Daisy’s neck and snapped the leash onto the collar’s clip. “Thank you.” He said and scratched the dog’s ears lovingly.
He had already fallen in love with the dog, even if it was only just a few minutes of being with her. She was loyal even though she had wandered off. She always came back to him. and now that he was going to feed her, she would hopefully stay with him without having to have a leash. Still he wanted to get it so that when he took her here or to the park, she would be sure to stay with him. Beau stood and thrust his hand towards the boy. “I’m Beau.” He said smiling once again.
Beau always seemed to have a smile on his face. The only time he was sad was if someone was really mean enough to hurt his feelings. Mostly though, he was able to look past the hurtful words and not be offended at all. Though he did always think back to what they said later and tried to understand what they meant by it. He liked self-improvement, so if he was able, he tried to better himself always. Though he didn’t really think he needed too much improvement because some of the things people said to him would, in his opinion, either make him even worse of a person, or would make him someone completely different. He didn’t want to be like everyone else. Beau liked being who he was, and knew a lot of people that adored him exactly how he was. he adored them all just as much, and wouldn’t trade any one of them for anything. Beau was one of those people that stuck with someone through even the most crucial times. He loved people too much to let them down or give up on them. He always knew that people were able to rise to the occasion and could surprise themselves.

Daisy? It suited her he supposed, though he'd never been one for naming pets, well, he was definitely, but his name always lacked such creativity. Releasing the dog, he nodded silently, a surprise for Finnigan of all people to be silent. He'd been getting into that lately though, which was weird in some ways, because sometimes it was hard to get him to shut up and then the other times it was hard for someone to get him to talk. This was one of those times he was right now, figuring out which he should do. Talk off the wall and probably make this poor guy want to kill himself or kill him, or remain silent - almost as silent as a statue, though at least he would interact with him, and not just leaving him hanging there with every sentence. As the blonde returned, and latched a collar and leash onto the beast, the darker-haired one shook his head, raising a hand, "Don't mention it, really. Last thing I'm sure the kittens want roaming around is a big dog like...Daisy." he grinned and looked down to the dog playfully, "No offense, Daisy." he grinned, noting the pink leash and collar, then gestured to the food, "I guess you just got her?" He patted the dog's head as she wandered over by him for a moment, "I had a dog growing up, they're good once you feed them a few times, then they know who to go to for stuff." Finn grinned sheepishly, before then stopping and hearing a name. Beau. Definitely a curious name, though one he wouldn't judge on, after all, his name was Finnigan for goodness sake. Pausing, he mused, "Nice to meet you, Beau."
His hand reached out and connected with the other boy's. Damn, should he tell him his actual name or the name pretty much everyone knew him by? Did he feel bad saying his middle name? Sure, but definitely nowhere near the point where he felt bad enough not to do it. Quickly adding, "I'm Andrew." Oh well, he'd break it sooner or later, though Andrew actually seemed a lot more normal, so to speak, than Beau, he corrected himself, immediately regretting it, "Um, Finn. It's Finn, I usually go by Andrew. Long story short, it's my middle name, and either way, I'm not a fan of my first name. It's Finn, so you can call me Finn, Beau." He practiced the name, placing his name with his face. Even though he felt like a mild idiot, that didn't stop the shifter from talking. Nope, not one bit. One time his brothers had duct taped his mouth shut and he still attempted to talk, even though he couldn't do anything, since they had also pinned his arms using not only duct tape, but wire as well, due to the shifter strength. Wrinkling his nose slightly at that thought, Finn tilted his head, "I can help you out, Beau. I only came to grab some stuff for my birds, well, they're Amazon Parrots, and my leading ladies."

Beau laughed at the boy’s little joke about the kittens not wanting a big mutt roaming around. He was sure that he was right though. That could be very bad indeed. He couldn’t imagine the fright that those poor kittens would have if they would have seen a big dog like Daisy coming after them. They would probably be so terrorized by Daisy. He would have felt so horrible for them all if that were to happen. He was so thankful to have had this boy stop her from scaring the kittens to death. “Oh, yeah. Well, she’s been lurking around my house, so I just kinda decided that I might as well feed her since she won’t go away as it is.” He pet the dog’s head and smiled. He would’ve felt bad, too, if the dog would’ve died due to lack of the proper nourishment. He shook the boy’s hand and waited for him to say his own name, but he seemed to be lost in thought or something because it took him a little while before introducing himself as Andrew. “Oh, well hi Andrew.” He smiled and dropped the boy’s hand.
Soon, he was hearing another name. Beau was a little confused, but newly named Finn explained why he had changed his name. “Oh, okay. Well either way, it’s awesome to meet you.” He laughed and walked to his cart full of all of Daisy’s stuff. “Parrots? Aren’t those the ones that talk? Like can’t they repeat everything you say or something? I think that’s kind of cool actually, that an animal could talk to you.” He smiled and pushed his cart towards Finn. He was really glad to have met such a nice person. He always knew that there were great people in the world. He had met more than a few of the better ones, and even the ones that could even be the slightest bit of mean somehow came around and did something good.
Beau began walking with the leash in his hand as he pushed the cart. “Um, do you think I will need anything else for her?” he asked looking into his cart filled with toy, food, bowls to put the food and her water in, and treats. Most of the basket was random toys that Daisy had sniffed at or taken into her mouth. He figured that was just about all a dog needed. “Oh! How about a bed?” he asked looking around for where the beds were. He would get the biggest one they had for her so that she could spread out on it all day lazily. He would have to build her a little staircase so that she could climb up into his tree at night so she would be safe from all of the scary things in the forest. Now that Daisy was his, he felt the need to protect her in every and any way he could. Right when he got back he would start on his construction work. Perhaps if Finn was free and willing, he could get help. But the only thing was that he never really brought people to his house. Mostly because it was in the forest, but also because the more people he showed, the more likely he was going to be found by bad people. And he didn’t want to get into any kind of trouble with the bad folks of Manuka.
