Stepping through the doors of the pub, made everyone go silent. They knew him around these parts. Everyone knew that he wasn't someone to fuck with. They knew that he'd end up sending them home in a cab by the end of the night; all bloodied up and missing teeth. But that was just Shawn's forte. He didn't tolerate these 3rd rate hood's shit among these parts... and now everyone was starting to realize it. He'd been in this place a few nights ago and left one of the regulars unconscious on the pool table. Frankly... he didn't tolerate ANYONE'S shit.
Stepping up the the bar, he pushed his Aviator sunglasses down on the bridge of his nose, and looked around the room. There was no sign of the guy that he'd kicked the shit out of previously... So good; that meant there might not be trouble. Oh hell, what was he talking about? there was ALWAYS some sort of trouble. Right?
turning to flash the bartender a smile, he ordered a bottle of Jack daniels, a bucket of beer.. and asked that it be brought to a table in the back corner of the pub... where he could watch everyone's movements. Letting out a soft sigh, the male propped his tan legs up on the table and took a drink of the whiskey. He was out tonight, looking to have a good time.. and as long as no one started shit, he;d accomplish that goal.
Shawn did look nice though. He was in a pair of cargo shorts, a button down, collared shirt.. and some black Nikes. He had a shiny diamond watch on... matching diamond stud earrings.. and a necklace that said the words "ruthless" in matching diamonds also. The necklace was a gift after his 20th consecutive win in Mixed martial arts.
Yeah... that's why he had the "silence the room effect". they'd heard about him.. and his ability to end fights with a single punch or kick. He was 'ruthless' that was for sure.
Clearing his throat... Shawn surveyed the room again silently... enjoying his beer. that's when his eyes caught a glimpse of something interesting.... were they headed his way? hmm..

Cassidy was once again going to the bar. Somehow she always seemed to end up there. She managed to meet and get to know the owners and the bartenders alike. She had even talked to the owner about getting a job, but they were already filled to the max. However, the position was hers if someone was ever fired or if they ever quit. That was a good enough deal for her to accept. Cassidy had even helped out Steve at the bar for free just to get tips and to show that she could do a fairly good job at serving people. Plus she kept most of the tips, so that was a plus. If her dear friend and fuck buddy Steve was working, though, she would give some of it to him because he did let her work on his shift and take his customers.
She walked into the bar and instantly noticed the giant of a man standing at the bar. Good God. she thought to herself. He was absolutely…gorgeous. Even with no hair he was still attractive. It must be his huge muscles or his obvious confidence, she didn’t know. "Hey Steve." She walked behind the bar since it was Steve working again, and kissed his cheek before fixing herself a drink. She made a Lemon Drop and exited from behind the bar. Sure it was a girly drink, but it had alcohol, so what did it matter? Most of the time, Cassidy didn’t even drink, but she was at the bar, so she may as well knock a few back while she was here. Or maybe just this one. She didn’t want to have any kind of headache in the morning. All her heavy drinking had stopped a while ago. After figuring out that she didn't have to be drunk to get sexed up, she didn't drink much more than two drinks when she went out. She figured the hangover wasn't worth it in the end.
Cassidy thought about going over to the big burly man, but kept herself at the bar. She didn’t want to chase after some random guy at the bar. She thought maybe he could come to her first. She liked it when they did, too. It made her feel good, as conceited as that may seem. What girl didn’t like to have guys coming after them? That was how she met Steve after all. And it had worked out in her advantage. She sipped at her drink and looked back at the massive guy with a seductive smile. Hopefully that would do the trick.
so...this sucks...

So he'd turned down a couple of girls already since he'd gotten there.. most of which, approached his table and thought they were going to make themselves at home... Nope, that wasn't going to fly. If Shawn didn't come to you, or try to seduce you over with his eyes.. then there was no sense in attempting to sit at his table. He was a guy who knew what he wanted. Most of the time it was wild, crazy, random drunken sex. That's the reason he came to these places mostly. He'd pick up some random chick, and fuck her brains out... then leave her bed before she even woke up the next morning.
It was that simple. He played girls. He played everyone. He'd developed a gift for reading people's expressions, and that opened a gateway to their feelings. From there, it was all a game of simple manipulation. But hey, don;t get it twisted...Shawn was far from a bad guy. He was actually pretty good. He just.. hated anything that wasn't human. Who could blame him, he was orphaned at the age of 18 because of one of those.. 'things.' He killed them mercifully, and loved it.
Suddenly, he was shook from his deep trance he was in by his eyes meeting the eyes of one HELL of a sexy girl. She was staring at him, and he couldn't help but stare back; his eyes roaming up and down her body openly. He didn't care if she saw him or not, that was just his style. Standing up, Shawn downed his beer, and tossed the bottle in the garbage, before making his way over to the girl, giving her a perfect white smile. "Hi, My name is Shawn... and you... are fucking sexy. I'm just gonna be real" He admitted, letting a soft laugh follow.
Stepping toward the bar, he tossed down a few 20's and snapped his fingers. " hey, how about you get me a Jager bomb.. and buy this sexy little thing a drink too on me." He demanded with a nod, before turning and giving the girl a sly wink. without another word, he walked back toward his seat and laughed. Maybe she'd follow this time?

Cassidy glanced over to the huge man again and noticed that he had stood and had begun walking over to her. Good, she wanted to talk to him kind of, and was glad he was approaching her first. When he had gotten there, he said his name was Shawn. He bluntly complimented her, and she smiled. A Jager bomb is what he ordered, and told Steve with snappy fingers to get her a drink, too. Cassidy raised her eyebrow at Steve and grinned. The giant man walked away without another word. She couldn’t help stifle a laugh.
“Don’t even worry about getting me another drink. You know I’m probably not even going to finish this one.” Steve laughed and they talked for a little while after he had brought the man his Jager bomb. When he had gotten too busy with customers to talk to her, she looked over at Shawn. She sighed and thought that she might as well go over there since she had nothing better to do. It could probably be interesting conversation anyways.
She uncrossed her leg and slid off of the bar stool. She walked casually over to the back booth where he stood and sat in the chair next to him. She took a sip of her drink before setting it on the table. She kept her fingers around the glass, and traced her fingers slowly along the length of the glass. “Do your blunt tactics usually work on women?” she asked interested. She had never had someone come up to her and just say down right that she was ‘fucking sexy’, but she wasn’t going to complain about it.
[/justify] this is shit. sorry, but it's 6 something AM and i promise it will get better and i'll shut up in occ

See, Shawn wasn't the type to "chase." women. Usually, they came to him; Honestly, why wouldn't they? He was loaded with money, Handsome, and powerful.. normally that made them swarm to him like bees on honey. He didn't mind, he usually took one of them home and made their fantasy come true.. and ditched them the next day. He was exceptionally blunt, granted. But why would be be anything BUT? Why would he put in the effort to approach a girl first, woo her, and TRY to get in her pants when they came to him so easilly?
He just came out with a quick " I'd fuck you" and it was off to the races. this girl wouldn't be any different. The thing is though, as he walked away, back to his table.. Shawn KNEW she'd be over there before the ned of the night. He'd seen it OH so often. THe girl who wanted to be chased. Shaking his head, he sat back and enjoyed his drink. She'd let her curiousity eat at her, until she decided to come over to the table. Shawn had seen this scenario too many times to count.
A few minutes later, his thoughts were confirmed. The girl made her way over and Shawn gave her a perfect white smile, that almost seemed to sparkle in the light. "Well.. to be honest.. yes.. most of the time" He answered her question, taking another drink of his Jager bomb afterwards. It was true though, and obviously, it had worked again. " Being honest is fater, and a lot more respectable than fabricating a whole speil about things" he added, letting his eyes meet hers. " But what I said was far from fabrication. You are extremely attractive. I thought you might like to know that."
Giving her another perfect smile, he finished his drink and leaned back in his chair, watching her. " So.. what made you come over here?" He asked, biting his lip and waiting for the answer.

Cassidy couldn’t really get a good feel for the guy sitting in front of her other than the serious cockiness coming off of him. She wasn’t really all that attracted to people who were over confident in everything, but liked people who were more subtle about their confidence. People like Shawn were obviously too much for her, but he was attractive, so she could probably deal with his cockiness until after the sex. When that was over, she would leave though. She didn’t like dealing with people that could get on her nerves. That’s why she only slept with people instead of getting into relationships.
Well, there was another reason. Colby, who she still had feelings for. She still missed him, but she didn’t want to think about him right now. If she did, she wouldn’t really want to take this monstrous guy home—or go to his place, whichever. She kind of hoped to just do it and get it over with. She took a sip of her drink and let her leg swing back and forth. “Oh. So only most of the time? Wonder why it doesn’t work the other part of the time…” she said with a raised eyebrow. “But being honest can also be brutal, don’t you think?” she asked. She nodded when he said she was attractive, but laughed when he said she already knew that. “Sometimes I feel pretty, sometimes I don’t. but thank you.”
Cassidy pondered his question as to why she came over to him. “Can I ask something first?” she sipped her drink and didn’t wait for an answer. “Well, this really isn’t a question, but I’ll say it anyways.” She cleared her throat and smiled. “I bet you “knew” I was going to come over here. Like if I didn’t it would be weird or something, right? Because all of the girls come after you. And now you’re just asking me this because you want to hear about how good you look or something?” she laughed finished off her drink and set it on the table with a loud clink. She waited to see what he had to say about it.

Shawn listened to the girl's question and he shook his head, fighting back a laugh. did he know that she would come over there? Well, yeah. But it wasn't because he believed he was god's gift to women or anything. No sir. It was because That's how most girls were, all they cared about when they were at a bar, was getting wasted, and getting fucked. How was he supposed to know if this girl was different? He'd only just met her, and things were going... quite terribly. Taking in a deep breath, Shawn let his eyes move to hers and he exhaled slowly. " Look, I apologize. I kinda came off cocky and arrogant." He began, pushing his drink aside for a second.
"I've been going through a lot lately.. I'm a fighter.. I fight for money and I've been training for this huge bout coming up.. so that's stressing me out.. aaand... I'm a hunter." He paused and let the second part sink in. He knew if the girl bolted for the door, that she was one of the things he was paid to hunt. But he wasn't here for her. He was there for a usual patron, a werewolf that he'd been ordered to eliminate. He'd not seen a trace of them man, and that's when he'd decided to try to take this girl home instead. Had he come off a little cocky? Sure. But with all the pent up stress and frustration.. it made him a completely different person.
" I came in here for a werewolf that frequents this place, but there's no sign of him. So.. that kinda added to the whole, stress thing. Let's start over?" Smiling, he offered the girl his hand. "I'm Shawn.. and I'd really like it if you stayed and had some drinks with me.. so that, maybe we can get to know each other a little better." His voice was kind, and soft.. which wasn't usual for him.
He had been a tad bit rude, so maybe now he could make up for it?

Cassidy drank her drink when the huge man said he was a fighter. She bet he was probably a damn good one, too. Just by the size of him, she could tell that he probably didn’t take anyone’s shit. He looked too mean to not punch the hell out of someone if they so much as looked at him oddly. But he sure didn’t look like he was going to do anything to Cassidy except maybe use his huge body to please her later. That was only if she felt like it. And right now, she figured she could go home with Steve before him because Shawn seemed too up tight and more of an asshole. And a hunter, whatever that was. She knew people liked to hunt animals, but it was weird to just throw out there in conversation. She gave him an odd look like he was a little crazy and drank her drink with a raised eyebrow. “…Okay?” she said. Hunting animals really wasn’t her idea of fun. In fact, she had never actually been hunting in her entire life. The only kind of hunting she had ever done was hunting for a guy—and on occasion, even a girl. Cassidy knew about the supernatural world, unlike most humans, but she hadn’t quite put the pieces together. She tried her best to never think about them. She really didn’t like thinking about getting with a vampire or something. It frightened her very much.
Cassidy smiled. It quickly faded to a straight line. Finally, she shook her head. She really didn’t know what to say. But the fact that he could just blurt out that he was here for a… she didn’t even want to think about it. She threw her head back and gulped the rest of the alcohol down quickly. “Sorry. I don’t like people like you.” She said and uncrossed her leg. She walked over to the bar and gave Steve her glass and told him he could come by later if he felt like it and that her door would be unlocked. She turned and gave Shawn an unnerving look. "No offense, but you're too...creepy anyways." She hoped that put across the message that she was serious that he should stay the hell away from her. It wasn't that he was exactly creepy, but he was connected to the supernatural world which was automatically a bad sign. She didn’t want to be involved with anyone that had anything to do with the supernatural world because the only place it had gotten her was being heart broken and scared all the time.
