Aaron's eyelids hung down like dark drapes, partially obscuring his brown eyes that were void of interest in the world around him. His eyebrows drooped and his mouth was parted, gaping a bit. He lacked his usual swagger and his arms swung limply beside him with each advancing step. A chilly spring breeze whipped defiantly in his face, but the only thing it managed to elicit change from was his hair, which ruffled up on one end, settling in a strange lopsided fashion. It was as if the walking dead was out for a stroll in the city.
Last night he was disturbed and woke up in his sleep seven times. Seven times! His nightmares were getting worse, and probably for good reason. Stuffing all those problems away didn't mean that they were gone for good. The memories and secrets would escape their compartments and lash out at his subconscious, specifically when he was in his most vulnerable state, while asleep. It was a real drain on his energy, and well.. even though it was temporary, he decided to go out and get those biting things off his mind. People gave him curious looks as he dragged himself through the city, staring blankly ahead without a care like his soul had been devoured and all that was left behind was a mindlessly wandering meat suit.
It wasn't until he came around the corner of a shop that he was bumped into by a young lady, finally snapping him out of his phase. Standing up straight again with his shoulders back, his eyes widened and devilish grin erupted over his face. His muscles flinched and he recoiled slightly, but his legs and feet stayed glued to their position on the ground. He was a strong, solid guy, and she, being obviously smaller and lighter, could have very well bounced right off of him and he probably wouldn't have lost his balance then either. He was secretly grateful for the accident, seeing as it had resurrected his brain to somehow function again from being switched off.
Leaning closer, he spoke to her.. "You're sorry? Pffftt.." He laughed and cocked his head to the side, his eyes narrowing, that same grin still evident, "Since when are you sorry? I didn't know that word even existed in your vocabulary Gwen," he teased. His eyes wandered over her, checking her out. She was wearing feminine clothes? .. and a glittery necklace? And what was with her eyes? Something was up. His face hardened and he arched a brow, staring watchfully at her.
Notes; Your thread was locked, so I made a new one replying to it. ^^ Glad to finally have these characters meet. PS - if she gets mad, he will definitely end up liking her right off the bat. xD

He was a guy and very handsome at that. His face was structured and tan and very hot handsome. His deep chocolate eyes had her entrapped into their warm, chocolaty depths. His matching dark hair was kept in an undone matter, but it just looked naturally styled. He was tall and he definitely had muscles. Yeah…he definitely had muscles. Biting her lip she looked up at him wondering who he was and why she had never met him before. I mean she had lived here her whole life and knew many of the people. He looked about her age, maybe exactly her age and if he lived around here she guessed that they would have gone to the same school. People who lived in Manuka usually went to the school that she went to. It only made her want to know who this guy was. What was his name? Was he a supernatural? A hunter? Oh Vi hoped that he wasn’t a hunter because it would just suck because well he was hot he seemed like a nice guy. Blinking her purple eyes at him she watched the devilish grin paint itself unto his lips. Oh my. This slightly worried Vi. What was he thinking? Was he a manwhore like Damon? She hoped he wasn’t because Vi could only take one manwhore in her life. His grin worried her slightly. Was he thinking about sleeping with her? Did he want her? Oh my God, why was she thinking so much into this guy? Why was he different? Why was she asking herself so many questions? Letting out her breathe she tried to calm her over active mind. This was so strange for Vi. She usually was calm, cool, and collected. Weird.
Suddenly he leaned in and her eyes widened slightly. What was he doing? “You’re sorry? Pffft...” he said and she looked at him confused. That wasn’t really something people said when someone said ‘sorry’. It sounded like he didn’t believe her apology. Did it sound fake? She didn’t think it did so she was even more confused. Tilting her head to side like he did, but the opposite way she looked at him with confusion clouding her violet eyes. “So you….forgive me?” She asked confused and in an awkward tone of voice. This boy was very confusing and she had just met him. This boy definitely was becoming more interesting and very, very confusing. Tangling her fingers into the chain of her pendent that had a piece of turquoise in the shape of a tear drop. Vi loved her pendant. It was an extra power source and quite pretty. It wasn’t too in your face and too eye catching. It was a subtle beauty. Vi was very happy that she was able to find such a pretty necklace with a gem for the use of her powers. Being a witch she needed her gem to enhance her powers. It was cool that a little gem could do that.
“Since when are you sorry? I didn’t know that word even existed in your vocabulary Gwen,” He teased and her jaw insistently tighten in arm. Did he just call her Gwen? No one called her Gwen! That wasn’t even funny. Gwen was one person that she never wanted to ever be compared to. What an insult! Vi was nothing like that bitch! Her purple eyes narrowed and grabbed the front of his shirt roughly. “Did you just call me Gwen? No one calls me Gwen! I’m nothing like that stuck up bitch!” She growled her grip tightening on his shirt not even caring if she was being rude or unkind to this stranger. Being called Gwen just sent Vi over the end. It always did. Whenever someone did that to her she would freak out and everyone would be quite surprised by Vi’s outburst because it was so unlike Vi. She was always such a sweet heart and when she got angry, she really got angry and it sometimes got scary. “Who the hell are you and how do you know my sister?” Vi asked furious and her grip still tightly around the fabric of his shirt.

Things were starting to get confusing, for both of them. He began to question her internally. Was Gwen tugging on his chain? Or was she really just being polite? Her inquiry seemed sincere and innocent, traits that were not well known with Gwen. His eyebrows lowered flatly as he turned his head a few degrees away from her, staring at her suspiciously. He wanted to know what was going on.. whatever it was, he was liking this new side of hers.. but his hopeful spark of interest towards her new attitude was soon dampened, realizing that she was in fact the normal Gwen still. It was obvious she was getting fired up, the anger welling up in her eyes, her tightened jaw, her body language becoming engaged, adjusting itself for attack. However, he was caught off guard by her physical aggression as she gripped and pulled him by the shirt, getting right in his face. Never had she become so furious and it was turning him on. He was too enthralled in her beauty to listen to what she was screaming, though he got the gist to gather the meat of her words. Having aggression directed at him somehow calmed him, forced him to think in an serious, uncertain situation.
He stood there, his arms dangling limply at his sides, still leaning into her somewhat, but this time closer since she was inevitably inches from his face, like a pissed off bear. "What? You're not Gwen? .. How am I supposed to know that? You look just like her. She never told me she had a twin sister, so.. naturally I assumed she was you," he said firmly, but without harshness. "Next time, I'll be sure to find out if the woman I date has a secret twin sister," sarcasm evident in his tone. He furrowed his brows and smirked, looking down at her hand gripping his black tank top, which nearly ripped as it stretched, exposing more of his toned chest. Gwen must've did something nasty for her to get this riled up over someone simply mentioning her. He was curious to know why, but he didn't want to pry. It was her private life and she didn't have to know what exactly Gwen did for him to know that it had inflicted some damage. The woman's attire made sense now. She didn't look like Gwen because she wasn't Gwen. Now that he knew this, he was very interested in getting to know her. "I'm Aaron.. who are you?" He shoved his hands into his deep jean pockets, watching her with his big brown eyes.

Right now all she cared about that she was called Gwen, which was never acceptable in Vi’s eyes. The witch had a burning hatred for her twin sister after their huge fight when they were both sixteen. Their parents had just died and Gwen went to get revenge and killed the hunter that killed their parents. Vi was angry at the hunter too, but killing the young boy made Gwen no better than him. Then the two sisters got into a fight when led to a duel where they both aimed to kill each other. In the end neither of them died, but Vi never saw Gwen again. Vi made sure to disconnect herself from her sister. The witch wanted to live a life without her sister. Gwen had only ever caused Vi stress and problems. Whether she was cheating off her work or stealing her friends and boyfriend Gwen was a thorn in Vi’s side. Her sister was also the reason that Vi’s self confidence was so low. Gwen was always better than Vi at everything well except stuff like school, but in the social scene Gwen trumpeted Vi. Gwen was consistently stealing her friends and the little boyfriends that she did have. Vi didn’t know why, but Gwen just always had to be better than Vi. It was extremely infuriating and looking back it made Vi furious that she put up with that. All of Gwen’s crap, she just put up with it and said it was okay. If only Vi could have just put her foot down and said no. Would anything have changed? Most likely not, but it was fun to dream wasn’t it? You could do anything in dreams and you didn’t have to be afraid. If only dreams were reality.
“What? You’re not Gwen? …How am I supposed to know that? He asked and her scowl dropped off her face. Biting her lips she realized he was right. Darn it. She hated when she was wrong. One of her many flaws. Loosening her grip on his black tank top slightly she looked up at him with her violet eyes. Great, now she felt bad for yelling at the guy. They were twins and they did look exactly alike so she really couldn’t blame him could she? She wanted to be angry at him, but all her anger was slowly drifting away from her body. Looking at the ground, she sighed and flicked her purple eyes back to him. “I guess you weren’t supposed to know, but don’t even call me Gwen again.” Vi said biting her sculpted, pink, bottom lip softly. You’d think Vi would be used to being called Gwen by now because her parents had called her that as all child a lot and she couldn’t count how many guys and girls in high school would mistake her as Gwen. It all annoyed her immensely. Vi tried to just ignore it, but the worst was when a guy would stop her, thinking she was Gwen, and talk about how much they enjoyed last night. Sometimes they’d even go into to detail, which a virgin like Vi really did not want to hear. Of course they’d apologize when Vi told them that she wasn’t’ Gwen, but then some of them had the nerve to then ask her if she wanted to sleep with them. Vi would promptly decline the offer and walk away. She didn’t want to sleep with them. They were all pigs and they had touched Gwen so who knew what they had on them. Any way Vi was waiting for her soul mate. The one person that would fill her other half. She wasn’t going to give away her virginity to just anyone. She just wasn’t like that. She was very innocent and pure. Not the kind of person to sleep around and party and flirt. No she was very much a good girl.
“You look just like her. She never told me she had a twin sister, so…naturally I assumed she was you. “ He said and this made her feel worse for snapping at him without any warning. Vi finally let go of the front of his shirt and brushed his shirt as if to make things better somehow. She was failing terribly. “Yeah…I know. Kind of sucks sometimes.” Vi admitted leaning against the store wall looking at him with keen eyes. Running a hand through her thick, curly hair when she heard him say with sarcasm outlining his words, “Next time, I’ll be sure to find out if the woman I date has a secret twin sister.” Vi’s jaw dropped and she waited for him to say kidding, but he never did. Was this guy seriously dating her sister? Gross. She didn’t even want to know what the two did together. Oh great…there went the mental images. As if she really needed those in her head now. Then Vi groaned and ran a hand through her hair again. Well this situation just went from bad to worse. “You’re dating Gwen? Ew. ” Vi said with obvious disgust. Sighing she looked at the guy and wondered how in the world he could be dating Gwen. How could he even stand her? She was a bitch, a liar, a slut, and every other bad thing in the world. How could anyone love her was puzzling to her. “I’m Aarong…who are you?” He said putting his hands into his pant pockets. “My name is Genevieve, but everyone calls me Vi because Genevieve is a mouthful.” Vi answered with a small smile painted unto her lips trying to be friendly.

Aaron stepped back as she let him go, frowning. "Ehh.. This is awkward," he said with regret, his gaze downcast and almost a little ashamed. The truth hurt. Gwen wasn't exactly the nicest person, but she did understand a very delicate part of him, which is what had attracted him to her in the first place. Sure, she wasn't all sweet, and hardly the purest, but she did have her good points as well. His thoughts leaked out on his facial expressions, and it was evident that he wasn't proud of associating closely with someone like her. He was brought up to have integrity, to have morals and goals in life, not to have it thrown away because of bad influences and choices. There were no excuses, or at least ones he could come to terms with enough to justify his actions. He couldn't lie to himself.
Sighing quietly, his eyes raised, looking off to the side of her.. It was challenging to admit his mistakes, especially to a stranger, but she was right. She of all people probably knew how Gwen was, or at least it seemed she did. She was angry, which was a typical response to Gwen's ways. "It was a mistake. We never got serious. I thought she was different.. but I was wrong," he said, swallowing his pride. Afterwards he couldn't shake the uncomfortable, lingering feeling of vulnerability. Glancing back to her, he said, "Vi, I'm sorry I offended you." He then turned away from her half way, pausing, "Maybe I'll see ya around." He flashed a weak smile, then began walking away down the street.

Vi had to agree that this situation was quite awkward for the both of them. He was dating her sister who she hated and had mistaken her as her sister. This was all just very uncomfortable for the both of them. Biting her lip Vi nodded in complete agreement and just wondered what to say now. She had already apologized and well any conversation would most likely just dwindle off into simple one word responses like “Yeah”, “Mhmm”, and “Okay”, which would make this whole awkward situation even more awkward if it was possible. You could just feel the tension hanging in the air like thick, sticky fog. “ I’d have to agree, Aaron…this is quite awkward.” Vi agreed her voice oozing the uncomfortable feeling that she was feeling at the present moment. Fidgeting slightly, Vi drummed her fingers on her thighs wondering what in the world she was supposed to do now. Talk? If she talked what would she say? Laugh? But there was nothing funny about the situation! Walk away? Maybe, but she didn’t want to be completely rude and walk away without any explanation. She could make this work! Definitely…maybe…hopefully. This was quite new for Vi. Usually she had no problem keeping conversations alive. It was easy for her, but after talking about Gwen and their terrible past it seemed just like talking more would make it worse. Making the situation worse was definitely not what she wanted so that was why Vi kept herself quiet.
An almost silent sigh escaped his lips and his eyes still didn’t meet her, rather they went to the side. She looked at him intently trying to figure what he was going to say or do. At the moment she really wished that she was an immortal so she would be able to read his mind and figure out what in the world her was going to say to her because honestly it was killing her that she didn’t know. Why did she have to be such a nosy person? It always came back to bite her in the butt. “It was a mistake. We never got serious. I thought she was different…but I was wrong,” He said and she blinked at him almost stunned. So Gwen and Aaron weren’t dating? Well that definitely was a relief. It eased the awkwardness. Slight smile began to pull on the corner of her lips. Maybe this friendship could work if wasn’t already dead. She hoped it wouldn’t be because well you could never have enough friends right? Well…she hoped you couldn’t. When she opened her mouth to say something Aaron said, “Vi, ‘m sorry I offended you. Maybe I’ll see ya around.” He made a weak smile appear on his lip and it pained her heart for some reason. She felt like a bitch for being mean to him now. Why did she always messing things up. Gah! Now she felt the need to run after him as he walked down the street. Fidgeting around, she looked at him and sighed. “Wait!” She called out. She ran after her and then walked ahead of him. She stepped in front of him and pressed up hands on his chest with arms extended to stop him from walking anymore. Her purple eyes flickered up to him and she put a small smile on her lips. “If you two aren’t dating now…then it’s fine. We all make mistakes, I’ve made many and you are no exception to the human tendency of making mistakes.” Vi said trying to make things better. Taking her hands off him she put them by her side and ran a hand through her hair. “So…I’m guessing you aren’t a human because Gwen doesn’t like them so…what are you?” She asked trying to start conversation with Aaron so it wasn’t awkward anymore.

Aaron's hands clenched into loose fists, his shoulder muscles tensed slightly and his lips pursed together, a subdued glare shooting ahead in front of him, though at no one in particular. She didn't know what it was like.. how he struggled against himself and had failed, repeatedly. It was frustrating. Talking about his mistakes made them magnified, and bringing them up made them angry at himself. When he noticed something about himself he didn't especially like he would grow in a positive way to change it, but he also had a darker side to him, that always resisted against the new changes. He was set on heading home to take it out on his punching bag, when the feminine voice of his new acquaintance shot out. His mind was in a tangle of thoughts, but he assumed from what he picked up from her tone, that she was attempting to stop him.
Soon she was right in his space, pushing firmly against his chest with her hands. He stopped and stared at her with that same hardened expression. The smile on her face caused him to raise an eyebrow, and her words softened his expression. He sighed, his lips twisting over to the side of his face, squishing to one side in a muddled frown. Good, she wasn't insensitive, she understood. Yes, people made mistakes. Even though he wasn't in the mood to talk much more, he listened to her anyways, purely out of respect. "You guessed right.." he said flatly. OK, she was being polite now. She cared. She was trying to start a conversation. Finally he started to relax again, a small grin creeped over his face, his eyes lessening their hardness and his body opened up, standing less rigid. He decided to play coy with her. If nothing came of this contact, he would at least have fun and get some entertainment out of the time he spent here.
Aaron's head cocked to the side playfully. "What do you think I am?" he said, giving a toothy grin. Gradually, he started to circle her, but stopped and turned around, facing the street, idly observing the passerbies with disinterest. She would probably have a hard time distinguishing what species he was. Most of the supernaturals didn't have bright crimson devil tails or leather dragon wings sprouting from their bodies, so they fit in seamlessly with society. Like those stupid Twilight movies, his skin also didn't sparkle in the sunlight, and he wasn't all that pale either. No, he was much more dangerous and effortlessly slipped under the radar undetected. Few were skilled enough to distinguish an ordinary human to the likes of a blending vampire, as in one that wasn't exposing its fangs or changing features while in an excited frenzy. His dark eyes flashed back over his shoulder at her, curious of her answer.
If she wasn't careful, she would feel the pull of his powers, which could lure her in to him like a delicate moth drawn to a burning fire. Vampires had a way of influencing and hypnotizing others, and she was certainly an interesting target to experiment with. He wouldn't push too far with it though, he wasn't interested in harming her, he wanted more information from her, after all.. she was Gwen's contrasting sister, and he did wonder what kind of thoughts stirred around in that head of hers.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] Things were getting better. They weren’t fighting so that was good. The last thing she wanted was an enemy out of Aaron. He seemed like a nice guy or maybe he was just a good actor. Either way he seemed like someone that she wouldn’t mind having him for a friend. Vi was pretty tolerate when it came to different kind of people like ones that slept around or drank because well she had Damon as a friend. Not just a friend, no, a close one. Actually Damon might be one of her best friends, but she wasn’t completely sure. Cierra was definitely her best friend for sure. They were like sisters! They helped each other with everything and basically adopted each other as sisters. They were so similar it wasn’t even funny. One of their only differences would have to be their species. Cierra was a shape shifter while Vi was a witch. That didn’t matter to Vi though. She would never care what species someone was. She hated no species…well maybe demons, but that was it. Vi liked humans too. She was on the light side of the war. She didn’t get why people would hate humans…they didn’t do anything. Yes, hunters killed supernaturals, but supernaturals killed humans. If they just talked it out things could be forgiven and a war wouldn’t be needed. Sides wouldn’t be needed. People wouldn’t get into disputes over which side was better. But no, no one wanted to talk anything out any more. Everyone always thought they were right and the other person was wrong. Vi had to admit that she liked to think she was right a lot too, but if she was shown evidence that she wasn’t she would give in and admit they were right. It would take a lot though because Vi was a stubborn girl that liked to be right. Sometimes it made her quite a handful.
“You guessed right…” He said his voice lacking emotion. A sort of frown spread on Vi’s face and she wondered if she had offended him or something with his comment because he seemed like she was done talking to her. The worry fluttered away though when a smile spread on his face and his eyes warmed up. It seemed all of him was warming up to her and that made her happy. So he wasn’t mad. Good, it was quite relief. Enemies were never fun to make especially if it was because of Gwen. “I guessed right? Good.” Vi said in response and smiled a little bigger her deep violet eyes mimicking the smile into their natural purple depths. She shoved her hands in her pockets and shifted her weight to one side looking at him happily. Taking a hand out of her pocket she ran it through her coarse, curly hair that seemed untamable which her magic that she used so often to help her in her daily life. She blinked her purple eyes and inquired, “So…Aaron, we’re basically going to start over? I don’t want to fit with you and I don’t want to hate you because you seem nice so…can we start over?” She really wasn’t one to be okay with starting off with a bad start. It just wasn’t her. She was kind of a people pleaser and hated being hated. It made her feel bad inside. She liked when people agreed with her and liked her. It boosted her low self confidence. Yes, Vi had low self confidence. After being sisters with Gwen for sixteen years you tended to feel quite bad about yourself. It just happened.
“What do you think I am?” He asked with a grin showing off all his white teeth. She smiled in return and watched him almost cautiously as he began to slowly circle her. After awhile he stopped and looked at the people around them. Vi took this time to look and him and make a decision. So he definitely wasn’t a human or hunter. He wasn’t a warlock either. He didn’t seem like the guardian angel type of person. Vi knew he wasn’t a fallen because when you touched them sometimes you say their memories. He wasn’t a ghost because otherwise he just could have disappeared to leave, not walk away. So that left many options like shifter, vampire, werewolf, immortal, fairy, merman, demon, firetamer, and even a hybrid. She hoped he wasn’t a hybrid. That would only make it harder for her to figure out what he was and she was already having problems. Since she couldn’t figure out what he was she decided to just make a witty comment that would at least get a smile out of him. Smiling at him as he looked at her she said, “ I think you’re a fairy.” If he was the guy she thought he was he would either be offended or laugh. This boy looked nothing like the fairy type, which seemed to be paler and a lot more trickier. They were definitely tricksters and well this guy just didn’t fit what fairy where like, well he didn’t seem like they were. Laughing she smiled big and hoped that she wouldn’t offend him. “Okay…seriously what are you?” She asked honestly curious. It bothered her that she couldn’t figure it out and she just really wanted to know.

"OK, sure... we can start over.." He chortled softly, amused with her words and eagerness to get along. She wasn't so bad after all. He could tell right away that she was the type that didn't like to be regarded with aversion, not necessarily a bad thing. After all, he took pleasure in being the center of attention, so naturally, he could relate. However, Aaron tended to not be too concerned with the opinions of others either, to a point.
He watched her curiously, his ears attentive to her answer. His arms folded across his muscular chest, one hand pushing against his bicep while the other cupped his opposite elbow. "A fairy?!" He busted out laughing while leaning over at the hip. After a short moment he regained his composure, his head dipping a few degrees as he shook it, recovering from his sudden fit of laughter. "No.. far from.. a fairy.. wow.." His posture opened, arms smoothly lowering, his thumbs tucking around the loops of his pants. "You're funny, I like you already Vi," he said with a certain mischievous glimmer in his eye. Yes, a woman with a mind of her own that could challenge him, not bad. He could get used to that.
Aaron stepped closer to her, his dark brown eyes intensifying with electric orange that faintly bordered the outline of his pupils. This time when he spoke, his canine teeth had elongated into prominent fangs, visible now when he spoke. "I'm a Vampire.." He canted his head to the side a few degrees, his eyes trailing over her delicate chocolate curls. From this distance he took note of several things, but especially her alluring scent and the intricacies of her dazzling violet eyes. "Have you met any of us before?" He said, nearly whispering.

“OK, sure…we can start over..” He said and her face brightened ten notches. She had a second chance at being his friend. Smiling large she fiddled with the bottom of her flowy tee shirt. She swayed slightly back and forth biting down hard on her bottom lip. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t ecstatic at the present moment. She was happy that she had a second chance and that they wouldn’t be enemies. Vi didn’t do good with people that hated her. It made situations awkward and uncomfortable. Also Aaron seemed like a nice guy and even though he dated her evil twin sister she was strangely okay with him. Usually she wanted nothing with any of those people and found them to be just like Gwen. Vi had taken Gwen out of her life for about six years now and she intended to keep it that way. She didn’t want anyone associated with her sister in her own life, but Aaron was okay. He had got rid of Gwen so he technically he wasn’t in Gwen’s life anymore. Well maybe he still was, but Vi found herself not caring. It was strange, but Aaron was different. He was obviously not like all of the other guys that Gwen had dated; they were really all jerks from what Vi had remembered. She hadn’t liked any of them, well except the ones that were her boyfriends before Gwen took them from her. “Yay! Okay so since I’m starting again I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Vi, not Gwen, and I have a temper.” She teased sticking her hand out for Aaron to shake. She thought it would lighten the mood and maybe even get a chuckle out of him.
“A fairy?!” Aaron said busting out into loud laughter and she smiled big. She giggled a bit with him watching him bend over slightly to laugh some more. She ran a hand through her brunette curls and blinked her large purple eyes under her thick, long lashes. “ Yes, a fairy. You’re a very pretty man.” She teased her smile big and bright. Of course she was only kidding because Aaron was quite handsome, but not pretty. His skin was tan, unlike hers because it was quite pale. She was already told that she was like snow or a ghost. She never really cared about the comments though. She liked her pale skin. She found it pretty on her. She had no idea how Aaron would look pale, but she liked his tan. He was very muscular though and tall too. Vi wasn’t exactly short, but she wasn’t the tallest girl in the bunch. But in all honesty she knew quite well that he wasn’t a fairy, no, he just had to be something else. It only made sense that he’d be something else. He just didn’t seem like the type. He just didn’t have the stereotypical fairy personality. Fairy seemed to be tricksters and Aaron just didn’t seem like that. It puzzled her. She really wanted to know what he was.
“No..far from.. a fairy…wow..” Aaron said and she laughed. “You sure? Because I don’t know I’m getting this fairy vibe from you.” She continued her tone light and airy with hint of teasing underlying her voice. She tilted her head to side letting bits of hair fall into her face. With her finger tips she lightly brushed them from her face. It was still bright and full of a smile. “You’re funny, I like you already, Vi.” Aaron said a glint of mischief in his chocolaty eyes. She smiled a bit bigger and asked, “Really? Thanks” It felt good to be liked, it really did. It made Vi feel all warm inside. Vi could get used to hanging out with Aaron. He was different.
Vi watched as Aaron took a step closer to her wondering what he was doing. Her purple eyes looked on his brown ones, but there was something different about them. Vi saw…orange? Yes, orange. The witch found herself staring into his eyes getting lost in them. She was mesmerized, but it was when she noticed something in his mouth changing that she broke the eye contact. His teeth were growing. Her purple eyes widened at the sight of what were now fangs. “I’m a Vampire.” He said and Vi stumbled back a step. A vampire? Well she hadn’t expected that. Vi had an extreme fear of needles and blood. She just couldn’t handle stuff like that. Even when she was in high school she’d tear up if she had to get a shot. Needles were just not her friend especially if they were drawing blood with that needle. Vi likes to think she didn’t have any blood. It just made things easier that. Biting down on her lip she said, “Oh.” She ran a hand through her hair and looked at the ground nervously. “Have you met any of us before?” he asked in a hushed voice. Vi shook her head ‘no’. It was true she had never encountered a vampire before and she counted herself as lucky. She knew a lot of vampires liked to feed of others, but she didn’t think Aaron would do that without permission. But she never knew what a vampire would do if they were starving. “Are you hungry?” She asked obviously wondering if he wanted blood or not.

When Aaron observed Vi stumble back a step and nervously stare at the ground, he knew she was afraid, not of him, but his teeth. When her eyes had laid upon them she seemed like she couldn't bear to look at them. It's true, they were quite prominent and very sharp, all the better to puncture flesh with. Nay, he wasn't going to be doing that to Vi anytime soon. “I'm always hungry. Some days are better than others, but that's just me. I have a huge appetite,” he said, chuckling briefly. Afterwards his head lifted proudly, an excited grin spreading over his face. The only other person that could eat more than him was Niklos, but liquids never kept him too full for long, so technically over a long period of time Aaron consumed even more than him. In his mind he was the undefeated champion.
“I used to be a chef, but since my change... I've altered my line of business to a completely new field.. involving blood donation. There is a wide circulation of people that need it to survive, and lives are saved because of it.” Aaron's eyes momentarily loomed over the ground where her eyes had rested, and when he glanced back up to her, his eyes were normal again, as well as his teeth. “Don't worry though.. I won't hurt you,” he said, smiling softly. He figured if he had said that earlier, it wouldn't have come across as sincere with his fangs exposed. To a normal person, especially one like her who had not been accustomed to meeting lurid vampires, when he smiled he probably looked like a wolf baring its teeth.
Vi's eyes were alluring. Gwen's were beautiful too, but Vi's appeared slightly more piercing and lighter in shade, at least in this ambiance. “You have violet eyes too.. they seem lighter than--” his face contorted and he pulled his lips in to hush himself, attempting to be tactful... abruptly cutting off his words to change his sentence, “-- they're stunning. You must get a lot of attention with those,” he went on like he hadn't almost screwed up and said her name, “I haven't met many witches.. do you guys transform under the full moon as well like the werewolves? I'm sure that would be a sight to behold,” he laughed, imagining what kind of physical creature they would turn into if they could.

She would be lying if she said she wasn’t afraid of his fangs. They looks razor sharp and just looking at them made her almost feel them on her neck. It sent shivers down her spine and made her frightened. Blood was definitely high on the list of her fears along with needles. Vi had never really liked going to the hospital or getting shots. They just made her shake with fear and had her heart racing at unhealthy speed. Vi knew she shouldn’t get so worked up, but everyone had their fears. Some people had heights and some had spiders. While Vi wasn’t fond with either or those they were nothing compared to blood or needles. Vi didn’t think she would ever get over her fear and she was okay with that. Everyone had their fears that stuck with them forever so blood and needles were hers. There was no way getting out of it so it was okay. “I’m always hungry. Some days are better than others, but that’s just me. I have a huge appetite.” he said a chuckle escaping his lips as his head tilted up slightly. It seemed like he was…proud? Yes. Proud was the right word. Nervously she played with her necklace and wondered if not drinking blood was like not having her gem. Vi always felt vulnerable and weak when she forgot to put on her gem on those rare times. Pity for the vampire washed over her and she wondered if she should offer up her blood. Sure, the idea scared her, but maybe it would bring them closer. It would let Aaron know that she wasn’t afraid of him because I’m guessing that he was worried about that. She could see most vampires being worried about that. Playing with her hands she looked at Aaron and asked nervously, “Do…do you want to drink from me? I mean I know how I feel when I don’t have my gem and I’m guessing you being without blood are the same. Or at least close. And I’m guessing you’ve figured out that I have a fear of blood, but hey, you need to face your fears one day even if you can’t conquer them. So umm…yeah.” Vi gave him an awkward laugh and played with her hair, which were one of her many nervous habits.
Whether Aaron would allow himself to drink from her was unknown to her, but she did know that her nerves weren’t fading away even though she had spit out what she was thinking. Her fear had been resurfaced which made her shaky. It would take a few more minutes for her body and mind to completely settle and become calm. “I used to be a chef, but since my change… I’ve altered my line of business to a completely new field…involving blood donation. There is a wide circulation of people that need it to survive, and lives are saved because of it.” Aaron said and Vi felt a smile creeping up on her face. He was a good person. He saved people even though it was probably extremely hard to be around all the blood. Vi wasn’t going to lie, she hadn’t expected him to have such a job. She wasn’t sure what job she thought he would have, but just not that. Also she began to think about what he said about his change. It seemed recent because being a chef sounded like a job that you’d have in this decade or at least century. He must have been turned recently, like a few years ago maybe. Vi had learned from her parents that vampires that turned a few months ago usually meant on a major blood lust so Aaron would have already drunken her blood without permission just for the need. So he had to be about a few years. Vi was sure of it. “That’s…that’s really great Aaron. Is it ever hard to be around all the blood? I mean is it ever a temptation?” Vi inquired smiling with admiration in her eyes. She just couldn’t hide it. She did have admiration for him. Vi always wanted to do the right thing and do something for others, but hadn’t quite found it yet so she was happy that someone could do something right. “Do you ever miss being a chef? I mean I’m guessing you loved it so it must have been hard to give up. Have you ever thought of trying to do it again?” Vi asked again her mind just filled with questions. Biting her lip she glanced at him and asked once again, “Out of curiosity…when did you change? Like how long ago? ” She gave him a small smile to show it was harmless curiosity. She really did just want to know. Some vampires were incredibly old so if he was ancient it would be cool to hear his story. He definitely would have a lot if he had lived for awhile. All those vampires always had stories or so she was told.
“Don’t worry though...I won’t hurt you.” He said a gentle smile gracing his lips. She matched his smile even though she could see his fangs. Sure, they still gave her the chills, but she was getting used to them…kind of. Sort of. Oh who was she kidding? They creeped her out and she didn’t like them one bit. They were something she would have to get used to though if these two were going to be friends. “I…I believe you, Aaron. You seem too nice to hurt anyone intentionally.” She answered honestly smiling at him sweetly. Vi tried not to feel embarrassed as Aaron seemed to stare at her eyes. Biting her lip harder she just looked up at him innocently not knowing what to say or really what he was doing. Yes, her eyes were different and exotic, but it always was a little embarrassing when people just stared at them. “You have violet eyes too…they seem lighter than—“ he said stopping. She knew what was next by the look on his face and how the sentence was going. Vi tried not wanting to focus on what could have been. “Yeah my whole race does. It’s a trait that we all have. It’s pretty cool and I guess my eyes are a little lighter than some other witches. I like that though. Makes my eyes even more different.” She said tangling her fingers into her thick, curly hair. Then her pale face felt hot when Aaron said, “—they’re stunning. You must get a lot of attention with those,” He really was a nice guy. Biting her lip harder she looked at the ground her face probably red with blush. Vi had a tendency of blushing whenever someone complimented her like that or when someone hit on her with touch. Running a hand through her hair she looked up at him and said, “Thank you, but they’re not that special. And not really. I mean people ask about it, but I think they mostly just stare. They don’t really come up to me you know? I think they just think it’s colored contacts.”
“I haven’t met many witches…do you guys transform under the full moon as well like the werewolves? I’m sure that would be a sight to behold.” he said and the two laughed together. Her higher laughter mixed with his deeper one well. It gave a melodic kind of sound. Once she was done with her laughter though she just smiled at him. No, witches didn’t change or transform into anything. They didn’t have a secret form and all that were special about their appearance where their striking purple eyes. Other than that, they blended in well. A perk. “Sadly no, I only have my eyes that are different. Other than that I’m quite average. Sorry to disappoint you.” She answered smiling playfully at him digging her hands into her jean short pockets.

Fancying the thought of his fangs gently coalescing into her supple flesh, he bit his lower lip, his eyes stealing a glance over her presented neck that was only mere feet from him, glossy curls draped over her skin, how he wanted to reach forward, delicately push them away and seize her. Swallowing hard he lowered his eyebrows and looked away, not wanting to tempt himself further. He had never tasted witch blood before and found her offer very desirous, but truthfully, he didn't need it.. “You're offering yourself to me? I'm flattered.” He couldn't come up with a good enough reason to justify why it would be OK, at least... here and now. It wasn't like him to ever feed in public. If people saw him do such an act, his cover at the blood bank would surely be blown, and profits would drastically drop. Any onlooking humans would know he was a bloodsucker, like some predatory animal waiting to devour them at the next moment they were caught off guard. There were serious consequences to being careless like that. Then again.. she was offering herself.. so willingly.
He missed the sensation of feeding. It used to be an addiction of his, an now that he used needles to withdraw blood harmlessly, a bite was like taboo. On occasion, drinking blood from the pouches nearly made him go mad. “You're shaking..” he said, his voice nearly a whisper, his hand reaching out to touch hers to reassure her. By this point he made his decision, and besides, he wasn't sure how she would feel about it once the pain started. He looked away and smiled, stepping away from her to respect her space again. Pleased that someone else had understood his turmoil, well.. in a sense, he had a certain satisfaction in his words. “Biting you would cause you pain. Sometimes it's unbearable..” Or so he heard.. “... I'll be alright for a while, but thank you Vi.” He wanted to take her offer up at another time, however, he also didn't want to push her into anything. He remembered how it felt to be bitten by a vampire, although his memory was somewhat muddled, considering he enjoyed the rush of pleasure it also provided. Everyone reacted differently to it.
“It is. Every day, although I've learned to control it. Over time I've become stronger because of it.” Aaron picked up on the admiration in he eyes. She seemed to trust him, and now admire him? She is really sexy, he thought to himself. Too bad she didn't know he was actually capturing people too, still for a good cause, right? “Do I ever miss being a chef? Well.. yea.. sometimes, but I keep myself pretty occupied. Plus food tastes bland now so I'm not too grieved considering the effects of the alternative I use now. I still like to cook, just not for myself.” He could tell her mind was spinning with questions. He was happy to answer them, despite wanting to find more out about her. “Hrmmm.. it's been about six years now. I'd say I'm fairly young for a vampire. I find out new things every day. A couple of months back I started to lose my sense of taste for food, so that was a surprise.” Aaron avoided conversing with her about his past of changing, it was quite a tragic and gruesome period of his life and he wasn't eager to share it, especially with someone new he just met. He didn't want to scare her away.
Fortunately, the topic quickly changed. Listening to her closely, he grinned and imagined the weird reactions that people were probably expressing when they took in the color of her eyes. Sure, people probably ignored them, believing they were simply violet hued contacts, but once you were up close, you could see the intricate details that etched through them. Actually, he was starting to like them more than his favored green eyes. Women with green eyes were just.. so amazingly attractive to him, but these.. hers? They were gleaming and exotic. “Their loss.” He chuckled. “Trust me.. I'm not disappointed,” with a wide grin plastered on his face he continued, “I would be though if you said no to going out on a date with me.. for say.. dinner?” He was confident she wouldn't say no, but there was still a chance, for whatever reason. Taking another step back he pursed his lips slightly and tilted his head down a bit, giving her the 'puppy dog eyes', trying not to laugh.

Vi’s violet eyes traced his eye line and saw him looking at the crook in her neck. She wasn’t sure how to feel about this. She knew that he needed the blood and that he would die without it, but she didn’t want to be viewed as food to him. Aaron didn’t actually seem like that kind of guy though. If he really did want her blood he would have probably taken it already. She knew that some vampires did that, but obviously Aaron wasn’t that kind of guy. She appreciated that about him. He was a gentleman. Well in the vampire world that is. Vampires always got the impression that they were evil and cruel. Honestly, Vi had thought the same thing, but meeting Aaron changed that. It wasn’t their faults that they were born or changed into what they were. It was like blaming Vi for being a witch. Both her parents were so she couldn’t help it. Vi didn’t know if she would ever feel completely at ease with other vampires, but at least she knew not everyone just lunged at you and bit your neck. Always a good thing to know really.
Biting her lip hard she looked at him wondering what he was going to say. She tried not to shake, but she found that she was still doing it. Darn her nerves. She just wanted him to say something and get it over with. The anticipation was killing her. “You’re offering yourself to me? I’m flattered.” He said and she looked at her feet. She didn’t know what to say to that. So in response she just shrugged and kicked at the gravel on the ground next to her feet. “I-It’s nothing. R-Really.” she stammered trying to sound as calm as possible. Vi sighed and squeezed her eyes shut tight. That didn’t sound calm at all. All her attempts were just futile. She was nervous. She was scared. She didn’t want to think about the blood. She didn’t want to think about the needle. It just wasn’t working for her. Taking a deep breath tried to calm herself to no avail. “I’m sorry.” She mumbled referring to her nervousness, but she wasn’t sure if Aaron would understand what she was talking about.
Vi felt Aaron’s hand on her and she felt her heart skip a beat. She blinked rapidly at him and glanced down at their hands. “You’re shaking…” He said his voice so soft it was almost a whisper. It was true. She was shaking. Pretty badly too. Even if she wanted to stop she couldn’t. She had tried, but her hands and legs just kept shaking. Her lower lip even quivered too, but it was hidden by her biting it hard. Vi nodded her head playing with her hair nervously. “Y-Yeah…I…I just have this f-fear of you know…b-blood.” She said swallowing awkwardly. After she said that Aaron took his hand away from hers and gave her some space. She appreciated that. Right now she just needed a little space even though she enjoyed Aaron’s presence…maybe a little more than some who was a friend of his should, but Vi couldn’t deny that he was extremely handsome from the tan skin that was opposite of hers to those creamy brown eyes. She found him attractive, but she guessed many people did. It was just a fact of life. Attraction that is. It was just human nature to find someone appealing or unappealing. Everyone wanted to say that they based their attraction off of personality, but was that really true? We all knew that first impressions were based off looks and then personality. It was a sad fact of human life, but it still was true that without a good personality someone was no longer attractive. Well in her eyes at least, but maybe that was just here. Aaron seemed to have both though. He was kind and nice and attractive. The perfect guy to some, but she would have to know him better if she really wanted to know.
“Biting you would cause you pain. Sometimes it’s unbearable…I’ll be alright for a while, but thank you, Vi.” he said and she nodded. Slowly she felt the nerves drain from her body. Soon the shaking ceased and she was calm. The witch wasn’t worried now. She was okay. There was no need to worry. No blood would be taken from her today. Still she felt bad. He probably wanted the blood, but felt guilty because she freaked out so much. She didn’t want him to suffer because of her. The poor thing. “Are you sure? I mean I’ve felt pain before, but I guess it wasn’t physical pain well I guess it was. It’s hard to explain, but I mean I don’t want you to suffer because I know you need it to survive. I need to toughen up anyway so you’d be helping me so you wouldn’t have to feel bad. I’m serious. It’s fine. I mean sure I was shaking, but don’t we all sometimes…I’m rambling aren’t I?” Vi rambled with a sigh at the end. She hung her head a bit and ran her hand through her curly hair. Looking up again she bit her lip and mumbled, “I’m sorry…okay, I understand.” Not wanting to make him worry she smiled and laughed at herself.
“It is. Every day, although I’ve learned to control it. Over time I’ve become stronger because of it.” He said and she smiled slightly bigger. She felt her admiration for him growing. He was overcoming his need for blood even though for some it was unbearable. She wasn’t sure if she would have been able to do it so she just really admired Aaron for being able to. “That’s very inspirational. Coming over your weaknesses you know? Very admirable.” She complimented smiling showing off her white teeth to him. “Do I ever miss being a chef? Well…yeah…sometimes, but I keep myself pretty occupied. Plus food tastes bland now so I’m not too grieved considering the effects of the alternative I use now. I still like to cook, just not for myself.” He said and she smiled, but still felt bad for him. She knew she’d never want to give up being a writer because she loved it with all her heart. She had loved it even as a kid. Giving it up seemed impossible. She wondered if Aaron felt that way. “Isn’t it hard to give up your passion though? I mean I understand that you had to, but still. I’m just curious really.” She asked trying to not to offend him with her words. She didn’t want to make an enemy of him once again.
“Hrmmm…it’s been about six years now. I’d say I’m fairly young for a vampire. I find out new things every day. A couple of months back I started to lose my sense of taste for food, so that was a surprise.” He said and she bit her lip. Seems like being a vampire wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. It sounded like you lost a lot, but hey, maybe all the strength and agility you got was worth it. Not to mean immortality probably was pretty awesome. To be young forever. Something everyone wanted, but it seemed that most that had it didn’t want it. Vi understood that. It must be painful to have to see everyone you loved die around you while you continued to live still as beautiful as you were the day before. “Well I guess that’s cool. Sometimes people that have lived for awhile are bitter and depression, but I understand how they feel. It hurts to watch someone you love die.” She said accidently letting it slip that someone in her life had died that she cared about. Not that she didn’t think of Aaron as a friend, but she didn’t want to down him with her sob story life. “Their loss.” He said and she smiled sheepishly. He was kind. Most people complimented her eyes, but him complimenting them were different. She liked it better. It just made her smile instantly and feel warm inside. She liked it.
“Trust me…I’m not disappointed. I would be though if you said no to going out on a date with me…for say…dinner?” he said and she was shocked. He was asking her out? On a date? Was he serious? She didn’t really get asked out a lot so this was a shock for her. A good one though of course. She smiled and laughed as he gave her a puppy dog look. He was cute, definitely cute. Smacking his arm lightly she said laughing, “Don’t give me that look, it’s hard to resist!” Giggling she ran a hand through her long brunette hair. “Aaron, if you’re willing to try the other twin then of course I would go to dinner with you. You seem like a lovely person and I definitely think Gwen was stupid to let you get away. But you have to cook. ” She accepted her smile teasing, but genuine.

Unlike many other women he'd met before, including Gwen, Vi naturally targeted something deep inside of him to shift. Sure... other girls had been shy and cute, but Vi was downright honest and vulnerable. He couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was about her that made him feel this way, maybe it was the exact way she spoke, what she talked about, or how she carried herself, but he was finding himself wanting to be rather protective of her. She disarmed him in a sense and for a stranger to elicit that kind of response from him, it was quite impressive.
"You did nothing wrong Vi. Being bitten by someone with fangs isn't exactly a normal everyday thing if you know what I mean..." he said, laughing softly soon after. It was obvious that she was very nervous, and when she spoke of having a fear of blood, his observations had been confirmed as to why. "Fear of blood? Sounds serious..." He watched her steadily. Helpless to its power, a grin crept slowly over his face. She was so adorable scared. Something was going on in her mind, he could see it in her eyes. Was she fond of him like he was so suddenly of her?
It seemed his reassuring words were successful and easing her tension. Her words were convincing and he could use it as an excuse to help her 'toughen up'. He casually cracked his knuckles, his mouth watering slightly. He took a moment to distract himself by stretching, eyes closed as he extended his arms out in front of him for a moment, then over his shoulders to stretch different muscles briefly, unintentionally flexing his defined arms and shoulders. Relaxing again, he opened his eyes and smiled widely, shaking his head slowly. "Nah, I wouldn't call it rambling.." He laughed too as she laughed, considering he was in such a good mood, he was finding himself laughing at nothing in particular. "Y'know if you would like someone to help you alleviate your fear of blood.. I can." he paused, letting his eyes wander over the surroundings before glancing back to her. "Who knows ..maybe I'll have you for dessert," he said, trying not to laugh. There was a playful, mischievous glint in his smiling brown eyes. He was joking of course, but she may not have realized that. He still took pleasure in getting people all worked up and scared and she was no exception. Sighing silently, his smile waned though still remained. Running his fingers through his hair, his hand stopped at the back of his neck to cup it. She had seriously tempted him with the idea this time, despite the fact that she was being understanding of not having him do so.
He cleared his throat softly and let his arm slip back down along his side. "Thank you." She thought he was very admirable? What he had gone through felt anything but that. "It is hard to give up things like that, but that's how life works. People have to adapt and change, or die. It's not always an easy place to live in. Did you.. lose someone?" It's true, he went through a lot and was now stronger and more experienced, it was admirable. He did have to give up his passion of cooking along with it, and many other things, like most of his friends and family. They were at risk. The sacrifice was undoubtedly commendable. Still, his mind was filled with painfully disturbing memories. They haunted him on a daily basis. Having mercilessly slaughtered people, fled from the hospital and abandoned his family.. he was a near unstoppable, blood-leeching animal. He didn't have to do all that damage, but at the time he had chosen to. They were stupid mistakes. Indulgent mistakes. And there was a gigantic problem. His family and victims had something in common. They were both human. With his urges, being in the vicinity of his family was the last place he wanted to be. Plus, he was confident that they would reject him if they found out. Yet, just then, another thought crossed his mind. .. He didn't have to tell them. Did he? He had a chance to end the pining to see them. Just to be around them, hug them, play with his younger siblings, hear their laughter again. They would be older, having grown up while he was away. That wouldn't spoil the prize of seeing them again. What would be the harm in checking up on them? Maybe tonight after their date he would go for a visit. The first visit in six years.
"That's the point!" he said playfully, chuckling. Aaron knew he was irresistible, well.. at least most of the time. Sometimes he got too ahead of himself and became arrogant, though the arrogance was usually directed towards his skills, not the vanity of appearances. "I have to cook huh? I was thinking of bringing you to a classy restaurant, but if you prefer me to cook for you I can do that too," he smiled, not bothered the slightest by the request, if anything, he took pleasure in giving to others in this way. "Are there certain types of food you don't like or can't stand?" he asked curiously.

“You did nothing wrong, Vi. Being bitten by someone with fangs isn’t exactly a normal everyday thing if you know what I mean…” Aaron said his voice happy and unnerving. She felt a weight lift off her small, fragile frame. Her violet eyes lightened with relief and joy. The corner of her sculpted lips pulled into a small, relieved smile. She liked Aaron. She really did. He made her feel…safe? Yeah the witch felt safe around the vampire. Something she thought she’d never feel around a vampire. Vi always thought her fear would get in the way of any friendship with a vampire. But there wasn’t just a friendship between her and Aaron. There was…attraction. Definite attraction on her side at least. Not only was he extremely attractive in the looks perspective, but his personality so nice. It was funny with a twist of caring. She liked that he was a caring guy. Vi couldn’t name how many guys that were rude and just pigs that she had to deal with sometimes. Sure, Damon was like that sometimes, but it was different. Damon was one of her best friends and she would only ever love him like that. Other guys on the other hand were only looking for one thing out of her that she couldn’t give to them. Well of course she could, but she never would. She wasn’t like that. That was Gwen’s job to be the one that slept around with everything that moved and was willing. Was Vi harsh when it came to her sister? Are you kidding me? Of course she is. The only person that ever received Vi’s bad side consistently was Gwen. Vi hated her with a burning passion. She knew that she could forgive and forget, but sometimes you had to hold grudges otherwise you’d make the same mistake again. “You’re different, Aaron. I suspect most vampires would have already drunken from me. I….I like that you’re different. It’s refreshing.” She said smiling shyly her eyes having a jovial twinkle in their exotic violet depths.
“Fear of blood? Sounds serious…” He said his eyes not leaving hers. She blinked and bit her lip not really knowing what to say. She gave her shoulders a shrug and felt the urge to look down to the side, but didn’t dare leave the comfortable position of looking into his rather inviting brunette eyes. “It’s not really serious. I mean it’s not a phobia. And everyone has fears right?” She asked a little unsure. Oh what was she thinking? Everyone had a fear whether it was heights or spiders or just something. She bet that even Aaron who was going to live forever had a fear. Hers was blood. Well she had others, but blood was the biggest one of them all. It was just natural to her. “Nah I wouldn’t call it rambling…y’know if you would like someone to help you alleviate your fear of blood…I can.” he offered his eyes moving from hers for the first time in awhile. He looked around at anything, but her, which was interesting in her opinion. She tilted her head to the side interested in his offer. Help her overcome it eh? How did he was planning on doing that was what she wanted to find out. “ How so, Aaron? I mean what are you going to do to me? Out of curiosity.” She said adding the comment at the end to let him know she was considering the offer, but not taking it before she more details.
“Who knows…maybe I’ll have you for dessert.” he said his eyes flicking back to their original position of locked unto hers. At first Vi didn’t catch the glint in his eyes that said that he was joking. Her throat closed up a bit and she felt her blood race in fear. The breath hitched in her chest and her eyes turned to saucers at the abrupt news. This all happened at once probably making her look stiff and petrified as anything. After realizing what her appearance most likely looked her she blinked and coughed awkwardly to clear her throat. She took a deep breath and forced a fake laugh out. Sadly, it came out too forced and awkward. She looked at the ground and said in a voice of a mouse, “Okay.” Glancing up she caught the glint in his eye and laughed at herself. Of course he wouldn’t have her for dessert! They had just had a big discussion about how they wouldn’t do that and how he didn’t want to bring her pain. Such a paranoid girl she was. Giving him a little push that she doubted even moved him she said playfully, “Jerk.” She giggled and shook her head disapprovingly. Once again she was fooled. Not the first time of course. Vi tended to be extremely gullible and too trusting that she believed whatever she fed to her whether it was outrageous or not. Sure she didn’t believe EVERTHING, but she believed a far amount of things she shouldn’t like what Aaron just said. Vi now just learned how to laugh it off and get over it. Nothing you could really do about it.
“Thank you. It’s is hard to give up things like that, but that’s how life works. People have to adapt and change, or die. It’s not always an easy place to live in. Did you…lose someone?” He said and she felt her lips tug slightly again. The way he talked it was like…hearing herself talk. Vi always had a different view point on things that just made people confused though. She talked about theories that would leave people having to replay her words over and over again trying to understand it. It was annoying never having anyone that understand the world as she did, but Aaron seemed like he got it like she did. He had a similar view point. Not exactly the same, but close enough for her taste. Smiling at him she ran a hand through her thick, curly hair. “I like how you talk. It’s like me. And I agree.” she said happily. Oh there was the question. Had she lost someone? She had lost two someones. It was painful to talk about, but she would tell him. He had already told her so much that it only seemed fair to do so. “My mother and father…I was only sixteen.” She said looking at the ground biting her lip and a look of sorrow in her eyes. It was always hard talking about her parents. Such a sore subject for the witch. Usually brought her to tears, but today she wouldn’t let herself cry. Not in front of others. Vi hated crying in front of others. It made her feel awkward and like she was again making them worry, which was her biggest pet peeve.
“That’s the point! I have to cook huh? I was thinking of bringing you to a classy restaurant, but if you prefer me to cook for you I can do that too. Are there certain types of food you don’t like or can’t stand.” he said and she smiled. He wanted to take her out to a fancy restaurant? How sweet of him! But she always liked homemade things better. Came from the heart. “No, I want you to make it. It’s more personal and it means more. Also I don’t want you to have to spend a lot of money on me.”She said smiling. Biting her lip and thought of the foods that she didn’t like. She wasn’t too picky, but she didn’t like spicy. Just too much for her. “Spicy definitely.” she answered.
