Sure, she was ready to go. If that was the plan, she was ready to go along. She'd picked up Anthony's flirting whether he'd meant it that way or not, pretending to be injured to get a reaction. She saw the way he smiled and watched her. This was all going quite well, actually. The angel was pleased with the course of events today had taken. That was, of course, until Anthony couldn't find his brother. Green eyes widened as she watched his entire posture changed. She understood that panic, knew that feeling quite well. When you were supposed to be watching over someone, if anything happened.... It was a horrifying feeling, to be sure, and London empathized immediately. Still, the boy was missing and something had to be done. She watched as Anthony spoke to the other children. They hadn't seen him. Anthony dove into the water and that left very few places for the boy to be. If his brother's voice didn't reach him, he must be somewhere out of the way...
Taking a deep breath, London decided to do something risky. Sprinting away from the lake (though she doubted anyone could notice anyway since everyone seemed to be looking for the boy), London found a secluded spot and let her wings unfurl. Sometimes, she forgot exactly how large they were, but god... That was always felt amazing. Rolling her shoulders a bit to loosen some of the immediate tension, the redheaded angel took a ready position and launched into the air. Her massive wings did the rest. Once in the air, London was formulating a plan. It was unlikely that anyone would see her this way. She would be took high up and people were searching the ground anyway. That meant she was free to look where she pleased. If Kevin hadn't been under the water and he hadn't been on the immediate shore, that meant that he had to have walked into the trees that surrounded the lake. It was a good starting place anyway.
Swooping into a tree near where she had last seen Kevin, London tucked her wings close to her back so not to get them tangled in the branches. Even folded, they were massive, but far more manageable this way. "Alright." Upon examining the area from above, London noted some footprints that appeared to be the right size. Her eyebrows shot up upon this discovery and she flipped nimbly out of the tree to return to the ground. Footprints were promising. "Hey, Kevin? Kevin, Anthony's looking for you." She spoke aloud so the boy (if he was around) knew who she was. He seemed the type to recognize voices. So the footprints lead into the trees and London could have sworn she saw a flash of dark hair. There could be anything out here and damn, she hadn't thought to bring her weapons. If anything happened, she would have to fly Kevin out and blow her cover. Still, the boy hadn't been located yet. "Kevin! Kevin, can you hear me?"
Upon closer inspection of the footprints, London noticed a second (much larger) set. Immediately, her heart dropped. A second set of footprints meant.... Oh no! Taking to the sky again, the angel made her way back to the start, back to Anthony. She made sure to land a ways away then sprint the remainder of the distance as not to be seen. So many questions collided in her brain at painful speeds. Who would want to take Kevin? How could she tell Anthony what she'd seen? "Any luck?" She knew the answer before Anthony spoke. Kevin was gone.
