Dylan had pretended to fall asleep, but he was stuck on their conversation last night. There was no doubt in his mind that he had to leave soon, very soon simply because he knew that Owen would not let him go. It was tearing him apart and he just sat up on the couch, watching Apollo’s breathing while he slept in his dog bed. He knew he could have easily adjusted to having a nice place to live, people to live with, food to eat on a regular basis, and perhaps an allowance to leave whenever he please. Plus, he would have people standing behind him in case anything did happen. There was no doubt in his mind that his brother wanted the same for him, but he could not get the image of Owen being brutally killed by Dahlia out of his head. It was like she placed it in his head herself which he would not put past her considering how powerful she was. He stood up slowly, Apollo lifting his head and thumping his tail softly as he just raised a finger to his lips and hushing him softly. He just slipped towards the door, grabbing his shoes on the way out, then the light flickered on and he froze, as Owen came to stand between him and his way out. “I’m trying to protect you, don’t you understand? I can’t stay here. I can’t and I want to leave before things get too complicated, Owen. Just let me go,” he said, just starting to walk towards the door again, trying to move around Owen.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are Now if Delilah had been a normal, human girl she would not have heard the door open and people talk, but because of her werewolf senses she could hear all of what was going on downstairs even in her sleep. Groggily she lifted her upper body up and from out of her bed. The werewolf stumbled out of bed still half asleep. When she walked into the hallway she saw a light. Why would a light be on in the middle of the night? That was crazy. Night was reserved for sleeping, not putting on the lights and talking and waking Delilah up. Yeah, Delilah didn’t do too well when someone woke her up besides Owen of course. She could never get angry at him. He was just way too cute and lovable. Also she loved him so she couldn’t get too angry at him for more than about a good ten seconds and then she’d just go back to smiling like an idiot as she usually did. Smiling big was something that Delilah did almost every day, every hour, and every minute. She made other faces of courses, but almost all of them were happy, cheerful, and bubbly faces that matched Delilah’s outgoing personality. Smiling was what Delilah did most though. She just had so much to smile about because she was always with Owen. They were best friends and they did so much together. They lived together, they hung out together, and they ate together. The only times they weren’t together were when they slept and when they hung out with other people. Those were only few times in the day that they didn’t so it really didn’t matter to Delilah. She was just happy that she got to see Owen period. He just made her world brighter with his smile and his eyes and his well everything! She had never loved someone more in her life and she wished she could just tell him how she felt.
Stumbling toward the light, she looked at Owen and then Dylan. She had heard a bit of their conversation and basically knew that Dylan was trying to escape in the middle of the night. Dylan couldn’t do that! He had to stay. Owen and him that just met. She knew that Owen didn’t want to lose his brother so soon so Delilah wanted to help him. Getting a brilliant idea in her sleepily brain, she stumbled over to Dylan still half asleep. Wrapping her arms around his neck she leaned into him and met his lips. They were soft, slightly chapped though, but nice lips to kiss. She put her hands on the back of his head and pushed him closer to her. Finally, she pulled away and laughed. She pointed at him and said, “HA! Now you can’t leave.” Somehow that made sense in Delilah’s sleep clouded mind, but to the boys she must have seemed crazy. Turning to Owen she wobbled over to him and tugged on his arm. “Piggy back ride, please. I’m tired.” She requested giving him puppy dog eyes.

Blue eyes narrowed in on the same set that belonged to his brother. Just let him go? Psh, in his wildest dreams. Owen crossed his arms in front of his bare chest, not going to let his brother go anywhere but the bathroom or back to his bed for the time being. Scowling slightly, Owen shook his head, "Really, Dyl?" Oops, he let that slip. Oh well, he knew Dylan might come up with a nickname for him, though he would have to say, Owen might be a bit harder to make a nickname for than Dylan. Delilah on the other hand, would probably just start calling him wolfie more or something. Running a hand down his hair anxiously, the wolf held up his hands in the silent movement to tell Dylan to keep his voice down, if they hadn't woken Delilah up already. Knowing her she'd most likely be half-asleep, say something or tell both of them to shut up and go back to bed. Owen wasn't, or he'd assign himself or Apollo to guard duty and keep an eye on Dylan. Or Owen could shift and lie in front of the door, using his massive body to block Dylan from getting out. He scowled slightly, and shook his head, "You'll have to wrestle me." he stated simply, or more or less, fight. Owen didn't care if Dylan shifted, but if swore if Dylan hurt Apollo while they might fight if they shifted, even his brother wouldn't get away with hurting his dog. Twin brother or not. Blue eyes widened in mild surprise when Delilah appeared, her eyes barely opened it seemed. His mouth dropped, "Deli?" He frowned in confusion, watching the brunette - who looked gorgeous even half-asleep he thought mildly to himself, Owen's jaw dropped as she approached Dylan.
His stomach churned annoyingly so in his torso. He could feel the snake of jealousy coil up from his stomach and melt into his system. Delilah was...kissing Dylan. What the hell? Jealous? No! He shouldn't couldn't be! It wasn't like he loved liked Delilah or anything! Horror painted itself over his features, and he almost felt...offended! That, and just the plain fact...his eyes narrowed slightly, as it felt like time slowed down those few seconds Delilah even pulled Dylan closer to her to make sure the kiss lasted till she stopped it. Growling softly in his chest, Owen's eyes flicked between the two. No, he wasn't jealousy! What made one think he was jealous! The annoying look that came on his face? Probably. The envy he felt, that Delilah should have been kissing him and not his brother! Maybe. It didn't matter, she had still done it, and why not him? Muscles stiffened when Delilah then approached him and he scowled towards her, "You do realize what you just did, don't you?" his voice was slightly annoyed, and he could hear the envy in his voice. Sighing in defeat, he sighed and let Delilah get on his back, shooting a silent look between the two of them, and he spoke, "At least stay a night or two Dylan. That's all I ask."

Dylan just felt like a child in that instant as he basically pointed out how stupid this is, but he wanted to leave because still Owen did not see his point of view. He was too stressed and frustrated with Owen right now and then when he was challenging him to wrestle him in order to get out. He felt shivers prickle down his spine as then he was kissed by Delilah, deeply and he was star struck at the moment. Then when she pulled him forward, he kissed her back slightly, his arms ending up on her small arms. Then when she pulled back, his eyes were wide with surprise and his jaw lightly dropped as he heard her say what she did. There he was stuck and all he said was, “Right,” while he was nodding slowly just raising an eyebrow as he eyed her as she turned to Owen. Dylan just listened to his request. “Yeah,” he said as he just walked over towards the edge of the couch just sitting down slowly as he thought about Delilah, kind of lingering on it before he realized he was. “Right, well goodnight!” He said before slipping back under the blanket and just staring at Apollo who sighed and laid his head back down on the edge of his doggy bed. He was staring back as though he needed to keep him from running away. Still, the kiss came back into his mind as he just sighed softly, thinking of Delilah and began wondering if Owen liked her judging by the way he acted.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are The half asleep Delilah didn’t find kissing Dylan strange at all. Actually she thought it was going to help. Somehow in her sleepy mind it all made sense, but to the rest of the world it just looked like she seriously need some sleep which was exactly what she needed at the moment. She had been woken up by the sound of fighting and waking Delilah up in the middle of the night wasn’t always the best idea because you never knew what you’d get. Either she’d tell you to shut up or she’d do something crazy like she had just done. Doing crazy things that she didn’t even remembered in the morning was something that was quite common for her. Delilah had always woken up in the middle of the night when she was in high school to the sound of Beth being up. For the first year of high school the two shared a large room, but after that year they all realized that Beth always woke Delilah up because she she’d read she’d either gasp or laugh or something and she would also get food and the sound of her eating would even sometimes wake Delilah up. Sure for the first few night it was amusing to see what Delilah would do, but by the end of the school year it wasn’t funny anymore because Delilah would just snap at Beth and since Beth was such a shy girl she’d be a little hesitant to talk to Delilah in the morning for the fear of being snapped at. Thankfully they turned the guest room into Delilah’s room and the problem was fixed. It was a simple fix and didn’t change much. Pretty much everything was normal and just the same.
“Right.” Dylan said nodding. She smiled feeling accomplished and stumbled over to Owen requesting a piggy back ride because she was tired. Owen always gave her piggy back rides so it was okay. Her being half asleep didn’t really change anything. The thing that bothered her though was the look on his face. It looked…annoyed? Yes, annoyed. That was it. Why was he annoyed? Did she do something wrong? She had just kissed his brother so he would stay. She didn’t get what was wrong with that. Well her half asleep self didn’t. Her fully awake self would have realized the error and well never had even done it. “You do realize what you just did, don’t you?” He asked his voice annoyed too. Man, what was his problem? Then it donned on her. He didn’t like her kissing his brother because he was being protective over them both. It all made sense now. She felt like apologizing, but then again she didn’t. She was too tired to be nice or use her manners. Then Delilah nodded in response and said, “ Yeah, I just kept your brother from leaving. ” Blinking her eyes a couple times to keep herself awake for a little longer. For the first time, Delilah then noticed that Owen was shirtless. She looked him up and down and then pressed her hand on his abs. She nodded and drew her hand away. “Nice abs…I approve.” She said still half asleep as she gave him a thumbs up. When Owen sighed he let her get on his back and she slid on. Wrapping her arms around his neck she rested in head in the crook in his neck inhaling his scent deeply. Delilah was so concentrated on Owen and his scent that she didn’t even hear their few passing comments. She only paid attention when they started moving toward her bed room. She nuzzled her head into the crook of her neck and said her voice slightly muffled by her putting her face into his neck, “You smell good….and you’re warm.” The poor girl wouldn’t even remember this in the morning. Oh if only she knew she’d be so embarrassed that it’d probably be quite funny and amusing to watch. Then as they reached her room, she let Owen set her down on her bed and Delilah quickly grabbed his hand. She looked up at him sleepily and then flung herself at him giving him a big hug. “You still smell really good.” She said her voice yet again slightly muffled.
